A New 'Pirates of the Caribbean'-themed Bar Is Opening at Disney World's Magic Kingdom—and We Got a First Look Inside

"I got a sneak peek inside the brand-new tavern opening Aug. 29 and found an immersive, interactive bar tucked in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park that leans heavily into both the classic Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and the film franchise—Easter eggs, original artwork and props from the movies, pirate flags, candles, and a skull-shaped ship-hull bar all help sell the world, and you’ll even spot a pirate’s foot dangling from a hammock as a nod to the bridge-dwelling pirate. Rummy the parrot makes appearances above the bar during lively interactive moments, and always-in-character cast members keep the mood playful with pirate jokes and tavern lore. The menu matches the theme with tropical beverages (including three rum-based cocktails out of seven total drinks, such as the Plunderer's Punch served in a souvenir pirate cup), wine, beer, select rums, two signature mocktails including the Treasure Trove paired with sweet treats, and light bites like Island Provisions (four savory dips with plantain chips, tortilla chips, and flatbread), an octopus ceviche-style dish topped with a curly tentacle, and corn griddle cakes filled with chicken or corn and peppers.
