The Bear Inn Hodnet

Such a perfect experience, start to finish. We stayed one night and we pre-booked dinner. The room we had was just beautiful, spacious and immaculate. All the staff were friendly, fun, knowledgeable, helpful. The dinner was out of this world. Truly amazing. I mean something Really Special. Really good breakfast too. I would rate The Bear as a 10/10, definitely. Highly recommended.

Came here for a meal with work last week and wow! I need to come here more. The food is exceptional with a wide range of options for everyone. The portion sizes aren't traditional pub sized, but the flavour you get from the food is amazing! Meg, Sharon, Chloe and all the other staff members are brilliant. They're all so helpful and make you feel at ease and don't rush you when deciding what to eat, drink etc. It is relatively expensive so I would call it a treat, but a must visit if you're in the area :)

Oh my god. Husband brought me here for date night, and I was not disappointed. The food was amazing. Its more quality rather then quantity. However we both left satisfied and with a full belly. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Lovely place. Nice little bar area. We are already making plans to come again with family.

Absolutely wonderful place. Interiors and general vibe is incredible. We loved the food too but wondering if it could even be a bit braver with the flavours. Starters felt a little safe but main was great. Would love to stay over night next time

What a gem of a place. The rooms are decorated amazingly and the whole building feels so cosy and welcoming, and that's before you meet any of the staff! Attentive, friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Would highly recommend and will be returning to try the evening menu out in the future.

A Birthday treat. Saturday lunch. Absolutely amazing meal really special. The staff were so lovely and knowledgeable and the surroundings so beautiful.....dog friendly in the bar... This is somewhere to go and have an unhurried, delightful meal.....nothing was too much trouble in this place.

This has got to be one of if not the best establishment I have ever stopped at and eaten at. Beautiful clean well appointed rooms. Amazing bar and restaurant serving gorgeous grub and serving the best bottle of Rioja I have ever tasted. Every member of staff at this establishment went out of their way to make my wife and I feel special. Not the cheapest but by no means ultra expensive. Worth every penny.

A fantastic find!!! Every part of our visit led to an amazing evening. As soon as we pulled onto the carpark we felt the feeling of luxury, larger parking places a present walk to the entrance through the chefs herb and vegetables gardens and being greated at the door and shown to our table. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted that something special and we found it. We got our drinks and looked through the menu, we had a couple of questions that the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Our starters arrived OMG they looked a little small but tbh they were perfect size. Each item of food on our plates had been carefully thought tasted and measured by the chef to perfection giving us the best food experience ever. The same goes for our mains cooked and served to perfection. Every mouthfull was an absolute delight on our pallet, smile after smile came from both of us. Deserts again were amazing. I even had two!! What we ate was one of the best meals of my life, there's no point in saying what we had because the hole menu was a pure pleasure. Thanks to all the staff for making our wedding anniversary a special occasion.
