The Bear Pub

The staff were very knowledgeable and advised on sizes for the different drinks we tried. My friend and I had a couple each from 1/3 pints, half to pints. They were fantastic. Amazing selection and prices range A LOT.

Very good pub a couple of minutes walk from Paddington Station. Five cask beers on handpump when I visited including a milk stout. A few tables outside at the front. This former bank and later wine bar at the base of a block of flats, was opened a couple of years ago after an elegant refurbishment including a beautiful wooden bar. There is a private hire space in the basement called 'The Den' that can seat approximately 25 people; this is also used for extra seating during busy times.

Came for a quick drink. Was immediately impressed by the smart decor, kind of 60's/art decor kind of vibe. Huge choice of drinks, craft beers. Typical London prices, but well worth it. The service was brilliant, nice friendly lady in the bar, and special mention to Jaz, she was amazing. Really recommend this place if your close to Paddington.

Fantastic pub with a mind boggling array of beers - 22 on tap! Really great craft ales too. Advise you book a table if visiting on the weekend, even if just for drinks, as it's very popular - but this gives it a fab atmosphere too.

Great bright pub in the middle of Paddington, with probably one of the best beer ranges I have seen in London pubs. That's includes some unusual beers from local breweries that you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Staff was friendly and was great in finding the right choice of beer among the 25 strong tap range. Much recommended!

Absolutely gorgeous pub near Paddington. The interior decor is beautiful - especially the pendant lights above the bar. Service was excellent - so friendly and helpful. Great selection of beers, cocktails and wines. We had some burgers - meaty, veggie and vegan all available - and the truffle fries were exceptional. All top notch - can’t fault it at all.

We spent an extremely pleasant afternoon with some friends who we rarely get to see. This was enhanced with an amazing choice of beers and two very knowledgeable and friendly young ladies behind the bar. They were happy to talk about the merits of different ales and I couldn’t recommend this pub more highly, especially to those who appreciate real ale
