The shop is clean and has a very nice aesthetic—visually appealing and well put together. However, my experience with their custom ordering process was disappointing. I initially called and spoke with someone who told me that they only needed about two weeks’ notice for custom cookie orders. Based on that, I submitted my request four weeks in advance of my event, thinking I was well ahead of the game.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. It took about a week just to get a response via email, and then I was told that even four weeks wasn’t enough time, which felt inconsistent and unprofessional. There doesn't seem to be a clear or reliable method for handling custom orders, which is frustrating when you're trying to plan for a special occasion.
In the end, I didn’t move forward with the custom order. I went into the shop and purchased one of their pre-designed cookies, but it melted in the car almost immediately, which raises concerns about the durability of their $90-per-dozen custom cookies, especially in Houston heat.
I also tried the macarons, which were unfortunately a miss. The filling tasted more like plain whipped cream than a flavored or textured center, which was underwhelming.
That said, the chocolate cake was excellent—moist, rich, and full of flavor. If I return, it will be for that cake alone.
