"In a great location at the top end of the city, this characterful spot combines the relaxed vibe of a wine bar with the attractively priced cooking of a bistro. Tasty, carefully prepared small plates – such as succulent monkfish tail with leek mayo and umami-packed charcuterie jam – are served by a cheerful and helpful team. The wine list offers plenty of choice, but you can also choose a bottle from their shop next door and pay corkage to enjoy it while dining; French and Italian producers are particularly well represented." - Michelin Inspector
"Newly awarded a 2020 Bib Gourmand, our distinction highlighting 'good quality, good value cooking' at £30 or under for three courses; also noted as a new addition to the Guide." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team
Such a beautiful wine bar/restaurant - the ultimate cosy autumn/winter vibes! I came here for a quiet birthday meal last month and had a great time. Our servers were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The menu/dishes weren’t quite what I was expecting. I was imagining something a little more homely based on the general atmosphere and aesthetic. I initially thought the portions were on the small side, but the dishes were quite rich, so I wouldn’t actually have needed more. They brought out an extra little birthday dessert which was sweet since I didn’t mention it being a special occasion when I was actually there, they just remembered and must have made a note from when the reservation was made. Would definitely make a return trip and sample some more wines!

We enjoyed a fabulous light lunch accompanied by outstanding service. The menu offered an excellent variety of dishes, but we chose the anchovies on toast, English peas on focaccia, and Cornish hake with carrot purée. The rhubarb crème brûlée was a triumph– one of the best desserts we've had in quite some time. A true hidden gem!

My partner and I sat outside in the sunshine yesterday and were served by Josh. He was really knowledgeable about the menu and helped us decide between a few different items we were stuck on. He truly enhanced an already wonderful experience! Thanks again Josh!
The food was absolutely delicious, flavours perfectly balanced and dishes arrived to the table staggered to ensure we were not over faced. A definite highlight of our trip to Bath!

A bit off centre, but worth the walk. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, interesting wines by the glass, including some organic, and good value sharing plates for a light lunch.

Lovely food in a nice atmosphere but terrible service. Greeted with 'you need to leave by 7.30', even though told before next group was at 8.15, never the same server, forgotten drinks orders and more interested in setting up extra tables than focusing on those who were there. Toilets were disgusting - swimming in water.
Food is good but the serving team let the excellent work of the kitchen down.

Absolutely lovely wine bar/bistro with delicious food and superb service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We were a large group of 12 people, hosted downstairs in the Vaults for a special birthday dinner. We tried everything on the menu, and I can actually say every single dish was super tasty. The service was immaculate and could not have been better. It was a fabulous meal and everyone is still raving about the food and wine.

I very much enjoyed the small plates menu with my partner at the Beckford Bottle Shop along with a few glasses of wine each. Our server Travis was very knowledgeable and attentive. He provided us with some great recommendations and really added to our experience. Needless to say, there is a huge selection of wine. The food surpassed our expectations - we enjoyed wine but would go back again for the food too!

Lovely place with great food & beautiful wines! We had the charcuterie board with some delicious bread one evening (definitely recommend). But the highlight for sure was (on a different evening) the venison bavette; just perfection with courgette fritters! Must go when you visit Bath!
