Best Pool Bars in Dallas | Eater Dallas

"This renovated Park Cities hotel right on Central Expressway has a stylish indoor pool with day passes, all-day drinks, and food from the hotel’s restaurant. That means bites like pulled pork nachos, a short rib burger, and a club sandwich on a croissant. The cocktails veer towards the mystical with names like Clouds of Chai (bourbon, vanilla syrup, and chai tea foam) and Lavender Mist (tequila, lavender simple syrup, and Fever Tree pink grapefruit)." - Courtney E. Rooms: The rooms were modern, updated, and exceptionally clean. The air conditioning worked beautifully, which made for a very comfortable night's sleep. The only downside was the noise insulation, or lack thereof. After a long day of work and travel and arriving around midnight, I was hoping to sleep in a bit before my commute home. Unfortunately, by 6 a.m., I could clearly hear doors opening and closing in nearby rooms, along with a neighboring guest's hairdryer, music, and even the clicking of what I assume to be plates of their hair straightener. A bit more soundproofing would make a big difference in overall comfort. Service: My stay was short, but during the limited interactions I had with the staff, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Location: The location is easy to access and close to SMU's campus, which means plenty of nearby options for lunch, coffee, or a quick bite. Major Con: Parking. One important thing to note is that the hotel offers valet only parking, which in itself is not a problem. However, at $43 per day, the valet lot is neither covered nor gated, so the high daily rate feels excessive... especially given that your vehicle is not protected from weather or potential security concerns. A lower price point or enhanced parking features would make the valet only option feel more justified.

We stayed at the Beeman last weekend while in Dallas for a wedding. Across the family we had 5 or 6 rooms and the hotel was EXCEPTIONAL. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and solved some problems for other guests in our party by moving them into the hotel. The valet is fast and convenient. The restaurant was great for both food and beverage quality, and we will definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone we know going to Dallas!! Fantastic stay. THANK YOU!!

Google
Hotel was very nice, the room was clean and had a little extra space which was great. Bartenders were extremely friendly. Front desk staff was fairly curt, not rude but typical Dallas. No ice makers on any floor which was bizarre but they did offer bags of ice in the lobby fridge. Pool looked dirty but could have been a weird paint treatment?

The overall service was awful. I had to call up to get a suitcase bench because there was absolutely no where to place my luggage. No iron in the room and when asked to bring it, it took over 30 mins. The staff removed the iron after the turndown service the next morning and i needed to call the next morning and again, took over 30 mins. Additionally, the tv streaming did not work. Engineer came up to help, he didn’t even take the remote, he just told me to call a number and left. He also didn’t seem to speak any English. I was on the phone for 45 mins with no resolution. After I notified the front desk, the front desk made no effort to accommodate me or make it right. ||I am giving the hotel 3 stars however because the restaurant staff in the morning were wonderful. Evelina was a sweet and kind server. Attentive and smiling: it was very nice.

The hotel itself was okay. Nothing special, it's kind of run down. The room temperature was incredibly hard to regulate. It was either freezing cold or way too hot. Both myself and my 15-year-old daughter, who usually sleeps like a rock, woke up over and over all throughout the night having to readjust the thermostat. The staff was very nice, and I felt like the customer service was good. But the reason why I won't stay here again is because they only offer valet parking. There is a parking garage that you can use instead, but it is a pretty far walk, probably at least a quarter of a mile away, and I didn't feel safe using it at night by myself. Valet costs $43 a day, and that seemed absolutely ridiculous. I get that hotels now charge to park, even if they're nowhere near the downtown area, which I think is just absolute greed on their part. But this hotel had a massive parking lot in the back, and it was empty the entire time. It was really aggravating to not be able to just park my own car. I just wanted to run back to the hotel really quick, change my clothes, and then go out to the grocery store, but I had to valet my car. Stupid. On top of the $43 per day it costs you to be forced to use valet parking, then you end up feeling like you have to tip the valets as well. If this was some fancy hotel downtown, it would make more sense, but It just comes across as a complete money grab which is really off-putting.

I used to love staying at this hotel because of the wonderful service and convenience of the location. Unfortunately this will be my last time staying here. I booked a 5 day stay and was told during check in that free parking was no longer an option and valet parking was 42$ a night. That was a huge disappointment since i was not planning on spending 210$ more dollars on top of the price i paid for the room. Very disappointed this was not disclosed on the website and will not be visiting again.

We had an incredible experience thanks to Hughes, who went above and beyond during our stay at The Beeman Hotel in Dallas. He drove us to our dinner reservation in the hotel’s complimentary car and truly elevated the evening with his warmth, professionalism, and top-tier hospitality. Hughes was prompt, courteous, and engaging.he made us feel like VIPs from the moment we stepped into the car. It’s rare to come across someone so genuinely kind and dedicated to excellent service. The Beeman is lucky to have him—l. thank you, Hughes, for making our stay even more memorable!

Google
First off, I would like to start by saying that I will NEVER AGAIN, Visit this hotel. We got here yesterday at 11 Am, checked in - we were not greeted properly. PARKING, oh yeah, they made the main parking VALET ONLY! Which means we had to drive 5 minutes to go park and you can only park in the 5th or 6th floor. Catch the elevator, walk 8 minutes to your room!!!!!! Got to the room, the smell in the bathroom everytime we washed our hands or showered was disgusting. It smelled like drain /sewer, our room was HOT! The air was not working properly. We were on the 2nd floor, I looked out the window, it looked like they havent cleaned the windows in years. You couldnt even look outside from how dirty it was. Mind you, we payed 200+ dollars to stay at a 4 star hotel that didnt even offer Breakfast, we couldnt even get in the pool because it was not clean. The water looked green and moldy. We asked to be moved to a better room, they moved us to the 9th floor, up there the Hall-ways smelled horrible. It smelled like pee! We get to the room and their water pressure sucked!! Overall I had the worst Hotel Experience, I’ve ever had. Ive stayed at cheaper hotels with better prices, food included and close parking. NEVER AGAIN. They should be ashamed of calling this a 4 star. You are not even close to a 2 star.

Yelp
I travel to Dallas frequently and usually try to stick with Marriott properties due to my loyalty program. This was my first time staying at The Beeman Hotel, and I have to say--it was a truly pleasant experience. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff throughout my stay were friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself was very clean, and my room was spacious, modern, and comfortable--exactly what I needed for a business trip. My one strong critique is the food. While the bar and restaurant area is stylish and has plenty of cozy spots to enjoy a cocktail, the food fell flat. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, and unfortunately, it lacked both flavor and presentation--it honestly reminded me of something from the frozen food aisle. That said, the location worked out perfectly for my commute, and overall, I found it to be a great option. I'll definitely give them another try on my next business trip and perhaps skip the dinner next time.

Yelp
It should probably be a 3.5, but that's not an option. I think they're going through some growing pains. They were an independent hotel and just became part of the Marriott group. The outside of the building is rundown and old looking. The inside is pretty nice! The lobby area and the rooms look good. It felt like the rooms may have been a little compact, but it wasn't too small. We were there for two nights and wouldn't want to stay for a week. There was a nice charcuterie board waiting for us but it had apparently been sitting out for a while as it was warm. Nice thought though! My husband chose a free breakfast instead of points upon checking in. We were charged for the breakfast and were told it had been taken care of. It had not been taken care of. There was a line when we were checking out and my husband didn't want to hold it up any longer. My husband asked to have the final bill emailed to us so we'll see if it got adjusted. The valet parking was great! The guys were really quick and super nice. Every staff member be spoke to was very pleasant and they really did try to be helpful. Not a bad place - just needs a little more organization and a facelift on the

Yelp
We love staying here! The pool is under an awning so we can swim rain or shine the food is good and the staff is amazing

Yelp
I've stayed at the Beeman Hotel twice for work trips. Both times have been enjoyable experiences. Highlights - The rooms are lovely and have been recently updated. In particular, the beds are very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is A+. I would certainly recommend this hotel to family and friends!

Yelp
The hotel overall did the job. The bathroom door did not lock, which was important to me as I was sharing the room with a group of friends. Someone in the hotel decided to keep a dog in the room next door, which clearly had separation anxiety. We requested a room change, which they were not able to because the hotel was sold out. This I found strange as we were given four different options when we checked in and all of a sudden you can't put us in one of the other rooms. Besides that, it's easy access to SMU campus and a quick Uber ride to downtown Dallas. The bed did its job with no complaints. We also used their pool in the back, which is technically indoor with a garage door that opens to the patio. Might as well use it as they probably charge a resort fee.

Yelp
Wow, a 2.5 aggregate rating is harsh, too harsh I think. A nice hotel. There's even a pigeon watering fountain. Great customer service by Matthew. Star knock for the elevator that almost amputated my arm at the shoulder. No penalty but I am disappointed that there's no shuttle service to Dallas Love Field. It's only 5 miles away.

Yelp
The staff at this hotel are insanely friendly, and I liked the location because we were close to where we needed to be. However there are a few things that made this stay less than ideal. First, what really bothered me was how "perfumy" the lobby smelled when you first walked in...it was way too strong. Charging $5 for a bottle of water is absolutely crazy, and it wouldn't kill them to vacuum the floors more often before guests checked into their rooms. But, I did like the single meal we ordered from their restaurant and the gym was really clean and tidy. Overall, there are lots of areas for improvement that would enhance the stay for the guests but everything was tolerable

Sandra C.

Yelp
This hotel lacks customer service. The front desk does the bare minimum, a smile would go a long way. The food is not good. The rooms have a strange lay out, the open bathroom is first thing you see when you open the door, there is no way to close the bathroom door, it rolls back. It's a barn door allowing for no privacy. There is also NO WiFi, which means no internet and no streaming on the television, which they simply don't care about. They do nothing to fix the problem. All in all, there are much better hotels in Dallas to choose from.
google avatar

Phil C.

Yelp
The hotel is fine for what it is. The room was clean and quiet. I was close to the places I needed to be. The bathroom was pretty minimalist but was adequate. The lobby was a little dirty (plates and glasses strewn out and not picked up for days) and the parking situation outside can be a bit confusing. I thought the service was somewhat good, as the concierge was kind enough to put me in a decent room instead of one that my first concierge was going to give me (that wasn't going to be decent). Hence the three stars.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Excellent stay, super clean and quiet room. Check in was easy, didn't really have to interact with the staff after this. Really my biggest complaint is that the bar isn't available during the day, and food service is suspended between 11-12p. As an upper tier Marriott Elite I'm super picky about my accommodations. I don't know what experience some of the other travelers had but this was as good as what I'm used to room wise.

Yelp
I had the worst stay at this hotel. There were several minor problems in the room, and I couldn't communicate them to the front desk because they simply don't answer the phone. I called five times during my four-day stay, and on each occasion, they either didn't answer or they put me on hold for more than 10 minutes, at which point I had to hang up. To add insult to injury, I had breakfast included in my rate. On three of the four days, I had to go to the front desk to ask them to remove the charges. One one of those occasions, they did not remove the charges and I had to ask them again. After I left, they did not properly credit the stay (points and stayt credit. I called the hotel more than one week after my departure. The front desk answered and asked me if I "could hold for a moment?" Twenty-two minutes later, completely forgotten by the front desk person (Lima), I hung up the phone and called back. Lima answered and said, "could I hold for a moment?" I asked her "how long is a few moments?" Lima told me "I can't make any promises, but it wont be long." I waited, again, for another 15 minutes on hold before hanging up. I called back a third time and asked again to speak to the manager. After a five minute wait, I spoke to Yutease who said that she was a manager. I spent 12 minutes on the phone with her before she informed me that she couldn't award my Marriott points or stay credits, and that I had to call Marriott (which is untrue). It's my job to call the hotel to chase down points or hotel stay credits. It's their job to issue them automatically, and nobody acknowledged this important FACT. I asked Yutease to have the General Manager of the hotel call me back, and she promised that I would receive a call back tomorrow. We'll see if that happens. I've never left a bad review of any Marriott property. However, in this case I made an exception.

Yelp
First of all I was not expecting to stay at this great hotel. My coach normally stays here and it is more pricey. But it's all worth it. When I walked in I was greeted with kindness and great service. I saw they had a full on restaurant and pool on the first floor with competently ice. They also had a patio with tables and chairs equipped. When we got to our room on the 6th floor, room 608. We were greeted with a clean room with a big bathroom. We were amazed with the service and care that they put into this room. One of the things that surprised me was that there was no hair on the pillow. Normally when I go to hotels, there is always a little bit of hair, but not this time. My sleep was very comfortable and legally Blonde was on. But wait! I haven't even got to the bathroom. It had plenty of towels and space. The lotion was amazing and the shower perfect. They had shampoo and conditioner ready for you and including shower gel. The toilet flushed well. But the door wouldn't close which is important for privacy. We woke up and had a good day. At night I took another shower and my mom tried to turn on the television. When she did the guide to get to the channels didn't work so we called someone to come fix it. When the man came up he looked at it for 10 seconds and said it couldn't be fixed. My mom was a little bit mad, but I my phone anyways. The breakfast the next morning was definitely the better side of hotel breakfasts. They had a waiter come to your table and menus. I got hot chocolate with whipped cream and my golly it was great. For my entree I got French toast with fruit. It was a little bit dry, but above average. Definitely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. So 4 stars is respectful.

Yelp
Awful experience. My Friends truck got stolen, and when asked for help, apparently "no cameras are pointed there" the staff would not help. A good truck gone. Thanks for the help jacks. And who doesn't have cameras facing the parking lot? Also, the rooms are small and cramped, with no soundproofing. Will not be staying here again, and you shouldn't either if you like your car/truck and happiness.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay here. Was comfortable. The only annoyance was the air conditioning which was a bit rickety and vibrated. Would recommend

Yelp
The Beeman is a lovely experience. The floors are thin and you can hear feet/furniture above, but that wasn't a huge issue compared to the comfort I enjoyed. Valet, staff, and surroundings all give solid "upscale boutique." Room service and dinner in the restaurant were both great food, with prompt and pleasant service. Proximity (esp walking distance) to Mockingbird Shopping is a plus.

Yelp
Stayed at The Beeman Hotel and had a pleasant experience. The service was amazing. EVERY staff member I encountered was kind, patient, friendly, and helpful. I noticed several guests with friendly pups, so the hotel seems pet friendly. A short walk away you can find a Starbucks, yoga, and a few eateries. The hotel also has a shuttle service that takes you anywhere within a 3 mile radius for free. This is a clean, modern, and simple place to stay for a business trip or while quickly passing through town.

Yelp
We stayed here at the last minute after we lost power. The check-in process was smooth and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room had some issues though. The Kuerig coffee maker did not work properly. In order to use it, you had to hold the top down during the entire brew cycle for it to make coffee. The air conditioner was louder than normal, but ear plugs helped. They did not have self-serve ice makers on the floor. So, if you needed ice, you had to go down to the check-in area to get it. And the bottled water supplied in the room was $5 each. Ugh!

Yelp
How in the world can a valet service for a hotel lose a car? Attended a conference there during the day and then, after valet parking my car, I found out that they could not find either my car or my keys although I had a ticket. They made us dig through the key box to look for our own key, which eventually was found and then after an hour of this, we finally got our car back. Just completely aghast at how unprofessional and frankly disorganized this place was.
google avatar

Marc S.

Yelp
A bit of an odd stay that I'd describe as faux luxury--looks really nice on first glance but then you start to notice things. It's as if they had a high school senior design the place. The parking garage is about 80 yards from the hotel. The common areas would have a nice aromatherapy scent if they didn't drench the place in it. The windows don't have much sound proofing and you'll hear the 75 traffic all night long. The soundproofing isn't that much better to the hallway. The furniture had a modern feel but Ikea quality look. Outlets were at a premium. There was electrical wiring secured on the wall rather than buried inside the wall. And then charge $5 for a bottle of water in the room? An odd place but it was clean and very close to our event. For what it is, it's a place that should be charging 25-30% less.

Yelp
Very nice and the vibes are incredible!! Great for a getaway or a business trip. They have a restaurant/bar inside of the hotel with live music. The drinks are good and the food is delicious. They also a lounge area, it's such a vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
We were in town for a swim meet at SMU. The location cannot be beat if you are there for anything related to SMU. However, the shower had very little pressure. We were unsure if we were required to valet our car - parking is free IF you can find a spot to park. There are no ice machines for your room - instead there are little zip lock bags of ice near the front desk that you must get for yourself (no charge). I saw there was a charge to use their pool. Good stuff - we could walk to SMU Natatorium, room was clean, bed was great, there were people having drinks in the lobby. It appeared like a place that people enjoy. Shower had large shampoo - soap - conditioner for your use.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay here. I had no idea what to expect because every hotel looks good on a website. I was in town for work and the hosting organization put me up there. The staff were very friendly. Princeton, in particular, went above and beyond and was able to upgrade me to a larger room. I arrived between restaurant hours and was asking about food options. The manager, Corey, was very cool and had the kitchen make me a burger and had it sent up to my room. And it was a really good burger at that! I loved the art and the overall aesthetic. The gym was clean and I had it all to myself when I was there. My only complaint is that the walls were really thin and I could hear my neighbors talking. Otherwise, it was like a high end hotel for a mid-level price. I'd definitely stay here again.

Michael G.

Yelp
The room, the service and even the valet are simply awful. Stayed in a king suite the problems with the suite were that the air conditioning unit was so loud couldn't even have a phone call and even when I turned the system switch to off it still ran. When I called downstairs at 1050pm the front desk person seemed so bothered and recommended I wait for maintenance to come in 30 minutes or so. I gave up on that. Used the refrigerator in the bedroom which it turns out was set to off and spoiled a bunch of items. Called to cancel another reservation I had and got the front desk again to be spoken with exceptionally rudely. Asked for a late check out and told I would need to check again in the morning. Parked with valet and had my car I front but to wait 15 minutes for the valet person to come back only to find out that keys were locked away and they couldn't figure out how to open lock cabinet. Multiple other problems and all of this was just for a one night stay for a really expensive price. Avoid this hotel.

Chip C.

Yelp
Positive : Overall fairly clean ! No major issues with that. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helped with the few minor things we needed assistance with.! Challenges : Self Parking expensive and free garage was a bit of a walk. Elevators ALWAYS full and a few times we had to wait for multiple times through. Restaurant was good but a tad over priced for the drinks and food. Overall price was good and we would not hesitate to book again .!

Yelp
This review is for room 821 for the month of March 2020 Pros: Good location Fast check in Free parking Refrigerator in room Great staff Keurig in room Cons: Thin walls. You can hear most of what's going on in the hall. Parking at night is difficult as most are taken and the spots are narrow. Some people really park horribly and sometimes take two spots. Room: Spacious. The bed was a little firm, but still comfortable. The pillows are small, but there's four available. The AC stopped working at around 11pm, but the front desk sent someone to fix it within 5 minutes. It was fixed within 10 minutes. Only one side of the bed had a plug, but the front desk was able to lend us an extension cord. The keurig has tea and coffee k cups. You can ask for more at the front desk since housekeeping currently doesn't clean the rooms while you're there due to covid. The bathroom was roomy and clean. The water pressure was perfect. The toiletries included shampoo, conditioner, body wash and bar soap. I didn't like the conditioner. It didn't condition enough. The iron and ironing board can definitely be missed if you're not searching for it. It's right behind the cabinet that has the safe. Pool: we didn't use it, but it looked nice. It was Indoor and the gym is right next to it. Bar/restaurant: they had live entertainment when we were there. We didn't eat or drink there, but did notice they offered whiskey flights.

Ravi D.

Yelp
Worst valet service !!! Parked my car in way to cause an accident and mangement passed the responsibility off to the valet company Space Solution Service - who refuses to take any responsibility for their actions. On top of that had to change rooms several times due to things not working. Would not recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Such a beautiful and well kept hotel. I felt very sexy and like high priority while staying here. We decided to come here to do a StayCation to celebrate the super bowl and Valentine's Day. Our room was on the 8th floor and had such a gorgeous view that we even slept with the curtains completely open. The King size bed was soooo comfortable that I honestly would have been just fine staying in the room in the bed our entire stay . inItially we had planned to find a sports bar near by to watch the game but learned on our way out that everything that we wanted to do, could be done right there in the hotel including watching the super bowl , drinking, and even swimming. So We decided to eat at the restaurant on the 1st floor located next to the lobby and watch the super bowl with a few others. The food was decent and was nicely proportioned. We ordered a large Caesar salad with extra dressing , the 2 piece catfish fillets which came with coleslaw that was kind of dry and some really tasty home cut like fries. The Catfish it's self wasn't the best quality, but was still decent in taste. And we order a Long Island Ice tea, and for it to be such a popular drink for some reason it can never be mastered anywhere I go . This restaurant was no exception to that. After watching the super bowl we decided to take a swim in what was said to be a heated swimming pool . With it being a little chilly outside I expected for the pool to be a little more warmer than it was but it was still tolerable. We had the entire pool to ourselves. Pool area closes at 10pm, however the guard was really chill and allowed us to stay in the pool a little longer. We really enjoyed our stay , only we didn't care too much for house keeping knocking on the door at 8am when check out isn't until 11am. As well , as breakfast not being included in the stay . For I've stayed in a number of hotels of the same quality or even less and breakfast was included. We ate breakfast at the same place we ate dinner the night before. Took sometime for the waitress to get to us and it wasn't busy at all. The waiter never asked us for our drink order. Our Food came out fairly quickly, however we never got drinks. We had to go to the bar and request drinks. The Order was take incorrectly, and items that were ordered weren't received and things that weren't ordered came to our table . When we approached the waiter about it , we were asked if we were staying another night in the hotel which we weren't, and then asked if we could return the next day because the manager wasn't present and that the waiter did not have authorization to remove or add anything from the ticket. Which to me made no sense at all. So we were basically forced to pay for things that we didn't want , or didn't get. In some ways , it sounded very fraudulent. And if indeed that is how that restaurant operates that's something that needs to be adjusted immediately. Neither of us stay close to the hotel , so to be told that we would have to return a different day after our visit to retrieve compensation on food that we didn't eat or receive is unethical. I would definitely stay at this hotel again , but probably wouldn't dine at the restaurant again . My dislike for The restaurants operation , is my reasoning for not giving this hotel 5 stars .

B L.

Yelp
We asked twice--at 2:30 and 4:30 for them to remake the bed as our room had a king bed with queens sheets on it that didn't cover the corners of the bed. At 9:30 when we returned, they still hadn't fixed the bedding. (Note we had also asked for a rollaway both times as well and that also wasn't there). I had to go to front desk and get linens to make the bed myself and call again for rollaway. Do NOT recommend. Room was also missing towels and furniture was broken and misaligned.

Yelp
For Valentine's Day we spent the night here. We had good drinks at the bar in the lobby. The entrance is beautiful as well as the lobby such a boutique hotel. We loved our room. It was very clean. The lady at the front desk was AMAZING! We ordered food and waited on it to be delivered. It said on the app it was so I went down and asked and she told me nobody had come in. She got my information and said she would let me know. After 45 mins I canceled the order and let the front lady know. 3 hours later the food people finally showed up. The lady called and let me know and she reiterated to the delivery person that the order was canceled. She had my back and it was awesome.

Yelp
This was THE worst experience we ever had staying at a hotel! During our stay we kept the do not disturb sign on the door from day 1, but later found out an employee entered our room without consent and stole our jewelry. Engineering ran the keycard log for our room 318 and found that an employee did in fact enter our room from housekeeping, but "the individual listed on the keycard profile no longer works at the hotel" and "they don't know who cleaned on the 3rd floor" per the housekeeping manager, Angel. No cameras on any floors except the 1st floor. Prior to the police arriving, The housekeeping manager, Angel, tried to get us to leave the front desk and allow them to give us a call upon their review multiple times, which felt like a way to cover up this whole experience. We're now pending an investigation by the hotel and Dallas PD. Please save yourself the stress and do not stay here.

Yelp
I had a friend in town and she saw this place from the expressway and said she wanted to get a drink. I said sure but the reviews have not been good but we can go see for ourselves. We went and the parking lot wasn't ideal, just a tight parking lot and no Prime parking. Got inside and the lobby was busy and bright. Asked the front desk for the bar, assuming they have more than one, and the young lady, after looking me up and down and not speaking first says "right there where the music is!" And laughs. I look straight ahead and it wasn't sexy or appealing. I tried not to be a snob and leave so I looked around before immediately turning around. Bar was bright, all ages were in there, live coffeehouse like musician playing to the side. I won't be back because it was nothing to see again. #Basic

Yelp
No idea why these ratings are so low. Our visit was in a beautiful clean room, nicely appointed. Fifth floor, smelled great. Everything is clean and the beds were comfy! The lobby and entry are spacious and welcoming, and the lounge is huge and nicely lit for relaxing. Highly recommend the Beeman.

Yelp
Since my last stay the overpowering smell in the common areas has lessened. It is still pretty strong but I did not get a migraine this time. I was able to unearth some power strips in this room so I was able to properly power my devices. The toilet was extremely close to the shower door. So much so that it was uncomfortable to use. The odd hanging lamp that was in my last room seems to be in all rooms. Why is it odd you ask? Well, the on off switch is near-ish the floor. This room the switch didn't work and had to manually plugged and unplugged. The last room it was about a foot from the floor, so not convenient for turning on or off. The staff in the hotel is really good still, so it has that going for it.

Yelp
We had a nice stay. Just one night. Our room was clean, bedding comfy and checking in and out was simple. It's def not like a luxury hotel, but for the price and category it was great and we'd stay again. They could use some better bathroom extras like hand soap

Yelp
I stayed at The Beeman Hotel from May 19- May 22. I would say that my visit was very HORRIBLE. During the entire trip, my room was cleaned one time after reporting having to report the issue to the manager. When housekeeping did decide to clean the room, it was still not cleaned, and I have evidence to prove it. I requested housekeeping from May 20- May 21, and the Hotel manager had to have housekeeping clean my room. The hotel phone did not work, and the bathroom door was broken. We slept in a dirty room until the last day at the hotel. Not to mention housekeeping is rude as well. My overall stay was not as expected... The manager did offer me a free hotel, but let's be serious lol. When returning to Dallas, I know where not to stay. Thanks, Beeman!!!

Yelp
The hotel although appears older was very clean. Overnight parking was expensive unless you wanted to park away from the hotel in the parking garage. The hotel bar was not prepared for a college bowl game taking place at SMU. By 9 they had ran out of beer except bud light (wouldn't drink if you paid me to). The. Come to find out they had some corona and mich ultra but the bartender said he didn't have time to go get it. They could have used a couple more people working in the bar area.

Yelp
Staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous, and the room was spotlessly clean. The location adds to the overall positive experience!

Yelp
The hotel will keep you out of the heat or cold, our roof didn't leak so I guess it kept us dry so nothing special at all about the hotel, one star because the little snack bar shop attached to the front desk does not have prices marked on things but if you are wondering a 2 pack of crappy pop-tarts is $4.33.....ya..... that seems reasonable.

Yelp
Want a comprehensively poor experience where everywhere you turn something's broken or ridiculously poor? Stay here. - Sanitary: The plumbing venting has issues. Our toilet sloshes at times and we can smell sewer gases. - Maintenance: The lights at the headboard work/don't work. - Safety: The keycard device at the main entrance to the hotel from the parking garage doesn't work. - Safety: There are electrical surges which cause a sudden flash in a table lamp. - Sanitary: The trash cans have no liners. - Annoyance: The hallway door to our room is very squeeky. - Nutty: We have an iron but no ironing board. This is an impressive list ! Just a few of these would be indicative of issues. All of them in total demonstrate this is a property to avoid.

Yelp
I was very impressed with the Beeman hotel. Decided to book last minute so I could be close to the Granada for a concert. The staff was very courteous and attentive. I enjoyed the wallpaper treatment to the ceiling in the front lobby and all the stylistic choices in the reception area. Unique art throughout. I wish I had taken a picture of the carpet in the hallway, it was a trip! When I checked in I was placed next door to a screaming baby so made a call to the front desk and they switched me promptly. The new room was spacious and elegantly designed. It was perfect for everything that I needed. Only negative comment would be there still seem to be a lot of background noise coming through the windows from being right by the highway. But, great value for the money.

Yelp
So my company put me up here as I was moving to the area. I checked in to the most pleasant woman ever. She filled all my needs and more. Explained were everything was. Headed me to the bar to enjoy a margarita. The room was edgy for a hotel room and super comfortable and clean. Cute decorating a fridge, coffee , big tv. Bed amazing. Modern bathroom with all the amenities. Only bad part was the heater broken on the pool. But that was being fixed after blizzard. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. 5 stars all the way including staff.

Yelp
Honestly, the thing that really helps the Beeman be a 4-star review, is the employees. They are the heart and soul of the business and make up a little for what the hotel itself lacks in. The folks at the front desk are always super friendly and helpful. Evelia, the best sever at their restaurant and was so personable and sweet. And most of all, the kind woman who are part of the cleaning team, were so special to me. I was there for an extended period of time and was there for a pretty rigorous work training and they would pray for me and cheer on my successful completion. Honestly the nicest group of women you'll ever meet. I will say, try to get a room that doesn't have an adjoining door. It was rare but sometimes if a family with children were staying next door to me or people who watch their tv with the volume way up, I'd have a hard time falling asleep. And I felt a little rude because sometimes I'd have to use my blow dryer at 3am and was scared that I was I was keeping my neighbor up or waking them up. I could sometimes hear traffic outside but that was also super rare. The hotel itself is decorate in a very modern way and it's super clean but lighting wasn't really an emphasis in their decorating plan. So if you need a lot of light, take that into consideration. All that being said, I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Dallas.

Yelp
I stopped by the Beeman for my stay in Dallas. The hotel is convenient to SMU and a short drive to downtown Dallas. Parking is free and plentiful. The lobby is elegant and welcoming and our room was clean, modern and well-appointed. Housekeeping is done on request, but our room was cleaned diligently. The hallways and lobby smell amazing! Overall, I'd be happy to stay at the Beeman again.

Yelp
Hotel oversold and when we got in at 1 am told us we would not have a room. Saw multiple other parties being told the same thing and that we would have to relocate to another hotel. Incredibly disappointed. Would just recommend calling ahead of time yo make sure you actually have a room! Edit now that I'm less worked up and have slept -- the employees were incredible apologetic and paid for our first night at the new hotel. We got moved about 15 mins outside of Dallas which sucked but hotel was cheaper than the Beeman so I guess it worked out!

Yelp
We are at the Beeman Hotel in Dallas. Service has been great so far, however my son woke up at 3am throwing up and again at 7am. We have a 4 o'clock flight. I asked for a 2 o'clock check out as he is so sick. They would not accommodate me and i had to pay for an extra night, 326 dollars just so my son can rest and hopefully recover before our flight home. We will not be back.
