The Bell

We had the pleasure of having lunch at the bell yesterday and it was just lovely! The food, the setting was just breathtaking! Daylesford did amazing! However the most outstanding part was our waitress Leny- she was beyond sweet, informative and had great attention to detail. I would go as far as to say she was the best waitress I ever had the pleasure meeting. Big shoutout to her- she made our day!

It's not really a pub, might be good for food but poor choice of ale (only one cask tap) and we were asked to move, despite no reserved signs on the table, after half an hour as they wanted to lay the table out for food. Staff were friendly enough and just doing their job but, if you want a drink, pop over the road to the Rose & Crown.

We had the most wonderful experience at The Bell for our wedding celebration. From our very first site visit, we felt completely looked after, and we were truly blessed to have Becky with us all the way through to the big day. She has such a natural gift for hospitality, attention to detail, and making people feel special — it’s rare and it really shone through. The food was exceptional — huge thanks to the chef and kitchen crew for a delicious feast. Special thanks also to Helen for all her help with the rooms, and to Clarissa for the beautiful flowers, which kept so well they were still looking amazing for our second day festival ceremony and banquet. We can’t speak highly enough of Becky and the whole team at The Bell. If you want warmth, care, and an unforgettable experience, this is the place.

Honestly gobsmacked! Awful. The servers dont have their facts straight on what goes on in the place.. im not sure if its the high staff turn over or the foul moods the servers are in because they feel overworked.. or maybe thats just who they are? Who knows.. one person walks in and says : we have some breakfast options, whilst the other says they arent accept non-residnets when they very clearly has seats and plenty of room to serve.. quite literally a disastrous place to be with clueless staff that all need to be in the same place and trained, unless management is likely the reason for this. We came by here two times and same same stinky attitude. Would not recommend

We came here last Friday, for our anniversary meal (not that the service team knew this when we booked) and the whole experience was perfect. Fantastic food, wonderful surroundings and brilliant service. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and super attentive - even little things like getting me some more bread to finish off the pate. The setting was cosy and welcoming. You get a sense of community here, with people coming in and out, eating and drinks as the towns fate takes place outside. I can't wait to go back one day.

We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of August for my daughter's wedding. The rooms were lovely and were well thought out. The food in the Barn was wonderful and the staff ensured the day went perfectly! I cannot praise them enough. Would highly recommend 👌

Just came in for a drink whilst on holiday. Had a really nice real ale. Comfy seats. Fire was going which added to the atmosphere. Dog friendly. Beware payment is by card only.

We called in to The Bell for a few drinks yesterday afternoon. Sadly we left after one drink each, one large red wine, and one large white wine at an outrageous cost of £37!!! We later found out that when we ordered it was happy hour rates, not advertised at all, and obviously the bar tender didn't want to tell us. On the way out we questioned the cost, and the bar tender was not interested saying it was the price of the wine. He was not at all friendly, or professional. The hotel/bar itself was however beautiful but we will not return, and advice people to be alert of the prices.

Located in a lovely village with good walks surrounding it, The Bell offers delicious food (the pie of the day was very good) at reasonable prices. Nice interior too, although the service could have come with a bit more of a smile.
