We had already gone for a brunch, but the dinner was much better! The place was very beautiful, the staff was very nice, and the menu was full of good options! A highlight was the hummus appetizer and the dessert, peach pudding. They were fantastic. The dishes were all very well-presented and flavorful. The waiter who served us was extremely friendly and attentive. We loved the experience and want to go back to try other options!

The fried breakfast rice is a must-try, and both the mocktails and specialty cocktails are top notch. We loved the outdoor seating, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier—our server and bartender were wonderful, and the manager was incredibly attentive. A perfect mix of great food, drinks, and hospitality!

The place has a beautiful ambience. Great cocktails and amazing food ! We had a few vegetarians in the group.. their menu had quite a few options . The mango apple bruscheta & Okabe are must try !! Service was excellent !

Our first visit to the bellwether was as its name implies exemplified by excellent food, from a hamburger with fries to tagliatelle pasta to beef tartare to prosciutto with burrata and finally beef tartare. It was nice to have American French and Italian foods to choose from, all of it well prepared and presented. Sunset views greeted us from the deck as we were leaving.

My friend found this place and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We left with clean plates and bellies full. I got the farm omelet with smashed potatoes and a pineapple mimosa. Liz provided excellent table service as well as the bar tender and host. The food was made pretty fast, fresh, seasoned and warm. I was very pleased. We will be back to try dinner soon.

Had my birthday dinner at the Bellwether and they made me feel so special. Fabulous food, drinks and service in a lovely space! Everyone at our table had a different entree and drink and EVERY ONE of them were delicious! A special recommendation from our vegan family member, the Okabe was amazing! Special touches like a b-day card with appetizer to their sister restaurant, Polite Society, B-day dessert and offer to take our family photo were both unexpected kind surprises. We will be back soon!

As a party of eight, we understand the challenges that come with larger groups. While the meal was decent and the service generally good, our seating significantly impacted our experience. We were placed in what felt like a hallway between the kitchen and restrooms, which offered no atmosphere and meant we were constantly in the way of guests and staff moving through the area. We were also initially given an outdated menu, though it was replaced promptly. Our server handled individual requests well for the most part. Overall, while there were some positives, the seating and overall environment made the experience less enjoyable, and we don’t anticipate returning to the Bellwether.

Went in about 8pm for dinner & a drink. The service was amazing. The place was fairly empty but the hostess & bartender were great. Its such a cute space. Love all the lanterns hanging. The cozy booths. The patio! Food menu is limited but what they do offer is delicious. We had mushroom pasta & the peach bourbon bread pudding for dessert. The cocktails are also stellar.

A delicious brunch for sure! Went to brunch about 12:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. We sat upstairs and it felt very intimate which i love. Our server was sweet, fast and attentive. She made our mimosas - grapefruit for me, Delicious. They also do bottomless for those who want to enjoy more than one. The food was - mmmmm yes. I had the fried rice, with a medium egg. The sauce was delicious and it was cooked very well. I also had the smashed potatoes which were okay, i like them a little more crunchy so the re heat was phenomenal My date had the new cinnamon waffle and cleared the plate! Honestly a wonderful meal, we were both ready for bed after!

What a beautiful day for a nice brunch! I came here on Sunday, 8/3, to celebrate our friend moving with some friends. We had a late reservation at 1:30 and while we initially sat outside, we decided to move inside. Our server was stupendous in every facet. He was extremely attentive, never letting our water get too low and always there for anything we requested. I came in quite famished and went with the farmers breakfast and talk about bang for your buck. Drink wise, I went with the blueberry lavender sparkling cocktail. It wasn't long before our food came out and it far exceeded my expectations. The eggs were fluffy, the potatoes were seasoned and a lot better than expected and best of all, the turkey sausage was some of the best I've had. I can't speak enough good things about the food, the service, and how beautiful the restaurant is both inside and out. I'll def. be back.

I've been to The Bellwether for dinner and drinks with friends and it was a great experience. This time, my husband and I decided to try brunch on Sunday. I made reservations on their website and was able to get a slot (reservation was made on Saturday evening). We were greeted immediately after stepping off of the elevator and were led down some stairs to our table. I didn't know they had another floor. The brunch space was very classy. The room was bright and looked like a library or study; bookshelves lined the walls with interesting and amusing books. We both started with a Bloody Mary. It was good. Nothing special but good. I ordered the Florentine Benedict and my husband ordered the Bacon Fried Rice with an egg over easy and a side (small plate) of biscuits and gravy. The Benedict was delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. The best I've had! Let's talk about those smash fried potatoes. They were amazing! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yummy!! The Bacon Fried Rice was very good as well and a fun take on a brunch dish. Now the Bs & G, I was a bit disappointed. The gravy had too much flour and was under seasoned. One bite was enough. Very underwhelming. I will say that the portions were very generous and priced very well. We left stuffed. Service was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a really good experience for brunch and I'd recommend The Bellwether for your brunch craving.

Wonderful ambiance. Love the low light and intimate look to the restaurant. Has a few beer imports I've only seen there.

Historic and cozy with an elegant touch--this spot has beautiful patios that overlook the St. Louis city skyline, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. We went for brunch and loved the variety on the menu, with both sweet and savory options. We shared a cinnamon roll from Whisk Bakery and some cinnamon crunch French toast sticks to start-both were amazing. For something savory, we tried the biscuits and gravy: cheddar thyme biscuits topped with sausage gravy, eggs, and potatoes. Super comforting and filling. Service was attentive and very friendly. Great atmosphere, great food. Definitely a place we'd come back to.

I've been to The Bellwether a few times now, so I'm surprised I haven't left a review yet. I usually go for brunch--though I've been for dinner too--and they've got a solid menu with bottomless mimosas. The food is pretty decent overall, but it could use a bit more seasoning. Service was a little slow, but we did arrive closer to closing time. They also have a nice patio that's perfect when the weather's nice.

After attending an event in Lafayette Square, I stopped by The Bellwether for a cocktail and appetizer. I enjoyed an Extra Dry Tito's Martini with a twist of lemon. For me, I like that they serve theirs is a classic martini glass. I am not a fan of the stemless martini glasses. My martini was very refreshing. All the bartenders at The Bellwether are masters of their craft and make amazing cocktails. As my appetizer, I had to have the Brussels Sprouts. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am addicted to Brussels Sprouts. If I see BS's on a menu, I've got to have them. Many times, I will order them as my entree and these tonight could easily be an entree. They were absolutely delicious. The blend of smoked shallot ricotta, lemon, garlic, capers and aleppo pepper, had my taste buds dancing and begging for more. The service is top notch. I am always impressed how they remember regular patrons and how they make first timers feel welcomed. I highly recommend, The Bellwether. It's great for special occasions, date night or just a simple dinner out.

Brunch at the bellwether was super solid. We had great service on a reasonably busy saturday. They were not jammed up, but certainly full. Despite being busy, our waters stayed full, as did our stomach's. We were fortunate to enough to get the last cinnamon roll. It was beautiful. Fluffy, light, the cream cheese frosting was so rich, and the pistachio crumble gave just enough texture without overpowering. We likewise got some biscuits and gravy as well as an omelette. The biscuits were solid. A super buttery crust gave the biscuit a great crunch. The gravy was great as well, especially paired with a runny yolk of a poached egg. The omelette was awesome also. Stuffed with bacon, canadian bacon, pork sausage, turkey sausage, and peppers. The omelette was prepared well and every meat offered unique flavor and spice. The potatoes were solid as well, some crispier than others, but still good. The seasoning blend I really enjoyed. Salty with some paprika and other spice. The patio is great, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. But, I think the patio elevates this place so much.

Went on a Saturday morning and was able to get seated with no reservation. Ate outside and the atmosphere was great. They had shade and fans for the heat and it really helped. Our server was super nice & vet knowledgeable and was able to make the requested accommodations. The food was to die for! Super flavorful and left a great taste in my mouth. I think I preferred the mocktails over the actual alcohol. Nothing was watered down. Overall a great experience

Mostly positive stuff to report here. My wife had the brussels sprout appetizer and it was wonderful but it was not a small plate, she took half home with her. Our server told us that the burger was outstanding and she was absolutely correct. Cooked to medium temperature it was one of the best burgers I've had in St. Louis. My wife had the fillet with asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was also excellent. Our server was delightful and very helpful. They have an exceptional wine list for a restaurant that is more business casual than elegant. The only tough part is finding them as you walk through the climbing wall facility to an elevator that leads to their third floor restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Unique restaurant space on the third floor in an old repurposed ?factory? Beautiful dining room, beautiful bar, beautiful rooftop views. Food has been delightful every time I've been there and I love their cocktails. Professional, courteous service.

Food was great. Everything was well made, flavors were great and food overall was filling. Mimosa tasted really great, so great that I had about 6 refills! Waiter was amazing, he was always checking in on us to see if we were doing alright. Would come back.

I was here recently on a Saturday night around 7 and the place was empty. There was no one at the bar tables and only a few tables in the dining room. We were one of the few couples who were sitting at the bar. This was only my second dining experience here. Honestly, my first visit the bartender was not very attentive. He spent most of his time at the end of the bar, chatting with other employees. We constantly had to ask him for things. Luckily this time, the bartender was much more friendly and attentive. Our food was decent, aside from the ice cream on the brownie looking more like tapioca. Not sure what happened there. While we were there, we observed several parties standing at the front, waiting for tables, yet employees walking past without greeting them. Even what looked to be a manager took notice, yet didn't take any action. Also the bathroom was really dirty. Especially the mirror in the women's bathroom. Overall, I'd go back hoping for a more elevated experience. I hope they can step up their service and cleanliness so they can get busier and stay open. It's such a cool space!

Was really excited to try this place. Took my sister from out of town. We were not paid attention to for at least 20 minutes after arriving. The place was not filled. Our cocktails took about 20-25 min to receive. Our order showed up about 25 min late, which was ok. The bus boy/bar back brought our food. Waiter didn't ask how our food was and didn't ask about dessert. This place is a beautiful setting, but subpar on overall service.

The staff was very friendly. Parking lot size is great, enough for larger groups. The bottomless mimosas are for us brunch girlies. The omelette was a great serving size, the potatoes were perfect and I just wish the omelette was little bit less oily. Ate the whole thing and was so full till the end. will come back and try their dinner menu!

First Impression: very nice patio on top of the building. Cocktails, enjoyed the Thevenet Chardonnay. I didn't have the butttery taste but more of an oak taste, but still very tasty. Salad, enjoyed the mixed greens salad. We split it which was the right amount for us. Entree, I had the Mahi Mahi with fresh veggies. Excellent flavors with a small amount of heat which enhanced the dish. View, we watched the sunset on a beautiful night. Service, Andrew was excellent. Parking, on the street or across the street in the lot.

Came here on Valentine's Day and thought we would get a prix fixe menu but we didn't. The ambiance was interesting as we feel like the lights should be a little dimmed for this kind of setting. We started off with a couple drinks and appetizers. The espresso martinis were great. The crab cakes were good but very small and the jerk fries portion was huge with a kick to it. The sauces it came with were really good. The waitress asked if we wanted a box for the fries before our entrees came out which we thought was so weird. The wild mushroom pappardelle was soooo bland and not good! Was very disappointed. The balsamic marinated hangar steak was good and had the best flavors. It was an ok experience but not sure it's worth it to come back again as it is really pricey for ok food.

The perfect place for a Sunday brunch. The weather today was conducive for sitting on the patio and luxuriating. So, that's exactly what we did. Jenny was our server and she took excellent care of our table. She was friendly and personable. Service was top notch. We couldn't ask for better. The indoor space is hip and trendy. Tables and booths are cozy. We chose to sit outside since the weather was agreeable. The cocktail menu boasts fantastic brunch options. The bottomless mimosas were the perfect accompaniment to the brunch experience. They offer OJ, pineapple, grapefruit, and pomegranate. Something for everyone. I've lived in Japan and Hawaii so they had me a breakfast fried rice. This version is comparable to the ones I've enjoyed on my far off travels. The menu has a little something for everyone. I've already decided on French toast and bacon for my next visit.

Enjoyed a cocktail and app with some friends on a Friday night! Our server was friendly & attentive. I've only previously visited at brunch and I was so impressed with their cocktail menu. Lots of fun and unique options. The burrata app was also good--not as creamy as what you'd expect but truly delicious. The jerk fries though were top tier and definitely something I'd order again and again. Excited to visit in the future. :)

A great spot for dinner/brunch! When the weather is nice, the rooftop patio atmosphere and views are top notch. They have a variety of well balanced cocktails and decent wine list. The appetizers are delicious, the burrata is my personal favorite. Off menu specials are always great, so if they appeal to you...order it! You won't regret it.

Sunday Brunch. The whisky cinnamon roll, French toast sticks, blueberry lemon waffles, bacon and breakfast at Tiffany's cocktail! So yummy. Nothing was overly sweet. Good side of eggs and bacon. Nice small plates selection to share with the table if you can't decide on a main item. Great selection of drinks and mimosas. Some delicious savory options of hash, omelette and eggs Benedict. Server Jenny did a great job of offering recommendations for food and drink. Fast delivery of food. Love the ambience on the 3rd floor of this old building. Can't wait to come back to enjoy the rooftop seating when it's warmer. Drove from LSL and worth the drive. Highly recommend reservations.

The Bellwether Brunch experience is where it's at. It's located at 1419 Carroll Street, nestled within the Old City Hospital in St. Louis's Lafayette Square. As a sister establishment to Polite Society, it showcases the collaboration of talents like Brian Schmitz, Jonathan Schoen, Travis Hebrank, Daniel Sammons, and Brian Coltrain. The tomato basil omelet epitomizes perfection, marrying flavors with finesse. It was wonderful. Perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The restaurant's aesthetic is a symphony of rich hues, silky drapes, and velvet, creating a chic and opulent yet inviting atmosphere. I love this spot!

Although the location is a bit odd, once you go up the elevator to the bar/restaurant, the ambience is great. Once we got to the top, they told us to go down to the wine room where our table was. Our waiter was not super knowledgeable about anything on the menu or about the restaurant, and he got very frustrated with my table when they were asking questions about wine or food, which was odd. The food itself was awesome and honestly really interesting. Props to the kitchen. Here's what we tried: -Baked Burrata: 7.5/10 - The burrata was warm and gooey, and the tomato sauce was flavorful, but I felt like the app lacked depth. However, it was super tasty, and the dipping bread was crispy which was great. -Brussel Sprouts: 10/10 - These were perfectly crispy, perfectly rich, and perfectly flavorful. I was a big fan of these brussels. They came next to a bed of some sort of creamy ricotta, which added a good change in variety. -Duck with Gnocchi: 9/10 - The duck was perfectly cooked, with super crispy skin, and the gnocchi was absolutely delectable. The celery puree didn't mesh as well with the other flavors as I would have hoped but I liked the addition of the big, soft caramelized onions. -Cacio e Pepe: 5/10 - Not cacio e pepe. There was nearly no pepper flavor, and it was mostly just cheesy, buttered pasta. Very comforting, and the cheese was yummy, but not what you'd expect. -Chocolate Hazelnut Torte: 8/10 - The hazelnut crust was absolutely delectable, and the chocolate had a rich flavor. Really enjoyed this dessert. Overall, not a bad place for dinner! Some really good food options, with unique pairings. The wine was a little bit lacking, but they did have a good dessert bourbon.

Finally made it to the Bellwether! Amazing service and exceptional food! We were happy it was nice enough to sit on the patio. The restaurant is on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building and has 2 outdoor eating spaces. Based off previous reviews we decided to get an early evening (5:45pm) reservation and it paid off as the patio started to get really busy around 7pm. We ordered the portabella tempura, classic caesar salad, Bison Shortrib Mafalda, and Pesto Pappardelle. Everything was great. My boyfriend loved the tender short rib. It fell off the bone. The pesto was delicious and the pappardelle pasta was cooked perfectly. The portabella tempura was a nice appetizer. Next time I will try the jerk fries or brussel sprouts. We also want to try brunch one weekend. We cannot wait to return! Highly recommend!

I visited the Bellwether for brunch with friends, and we had a nice experience at this modern American restaurant. Their brunch menu has the classics: waffles, omelettes, and egg benedicts. However, they also have a few creative dishes, such as the bacon friend rice ($17). I personally ordered the Bagel and lox ($22) and thought the dish was solid. It included the classic bagel, lox, and cream cheese, along with cherry tomatoes, red onion, chives, and a crumbled hard boiled egg. This dish is admittedly very simple, but I enjoyed the variety of colors and flavors the dish offered. I will say though--I had a friend order the bacon friend rice (she thankfully let me take a bite), and it was delicious. The bacon paired with the sesame oil offered a wonderful rich, umami flavor. When I go back, I will be getting this for myself! The interior design exudes modern luxury and included hanging chandeliers and wood accents. The vibe inside was calm, yet lux. Our servers was very kind and attentive. The did took a bit longer than expected to come out, with the total time being around 30 minutes. However, we did have a larger group, so I believe this is a decent time for a group of 8. I will definitely be returning to The Bellwether to try their dinner and cocktails. Their menu looks amazing!

I don't know what the hype of the place is. We went because it was highly recommended but our entire experience was meh. When we walked in, the host was not there but all the waiters kept making eye contact with us but not saying anything, it was kind of awkward. The host came back and she was sweet and seated us. We were excited to try the food but why is this place rated so highly!? We went for brunch and both our foods were soo average. The pork belly sandwich was difficult to eat and they give potatoes as whole. I mean, it's ok. We just won't go back again

Visited on a Saturday with a group of girls and had a wonderful experience! I made a reservation ahead of time to be safe without realizing it was also Marti Gras, I was very happy I did. Our server was so fun, she chatted with us about something we had in common and took excellent care of us the whole time. Bloody Mary's were great and food was a good as it always is. We've already talked about coming back, great spot!

Ambiance begins good but then you notice a Hindi movie of emaciated children on all TVs with English subtitles. Not sure but starving children in bare feet is not something I want to watch while dining. At the table, dirty wine glasses and then something fell on us from the ceiling, not sure what it was but it was a combination of grit and wet. We moved and got new wine glasses. Then the worst, the food!. We had duck. The presentation was great but it ended there. Everything tasted like old Canola oil. Temps were almost warm. The Duck was the star of this failure, more rancid Canola oil used 10 times past its useful life and the meat was rubberized and fowl tasting, no pun intended. What a shame, our last experience was some time ago, clean with delicious food. This time a horrible miss....

The restaurant is not located in the most noticeable place. It's located on a dead end street across from the dental school. You enter and walk the hall to an elevator. When I got to floor 3, the hostess said my reservation was on floor 2 so I took the elevator down. The 3rd floor is SUPER lively and bright with loud music. The 2nd floor is exactly what they said, a winery/library. The decor was darker, softer music and smaller. So when making a reservation, be sure to make a note of which floor you prefer. It was my first time so I didn't know (but now I do!). The BELT was dry. I do not like runny egg and I think the sandwich depended on a sunny side egg to bring moisture. They were very light on the aioli. The saving grace was the juice from the tomato. The steak sandwich was good. Some smashed potatoes were extremely crispy and inedible but there were also some with crisp exterior and soft inside. The cocktail I ordered is perfect for summer! Very fruity, light, refreshing. Service wise, the food took too long to come out because a group came after us and was being served food before us. I had just an ok experience.

Brunch at The Bellwether was satisfying. Don't we all just love a good rooftop brunch? Well add this place to your list. I highly recommend the bacon fried rice. Our server recommended it and he did not miss the mark. At our table we also had the sirloin steak and eggs sandwich with a side of smashed fried potatoes. Now the fried potatoes did lack some flavor so I had to ask for salt and peeler to help it out. Last but not least, the French toast sticks dish comes with some sauces and fruit. It was okay but I'm not big on French toast sticks.

Same owners as Polite Society and might be a little better, definitely a more elevated dining experience there. The decor is spectacular, very Moroccan feeling and beautiful. The food really is a star there, service is always great there as well.

We really enjoyed our Sunday brunch here. Our server Greg got us started with mimosas which were delicious. Our breakfast was brought to the table in a quick but timely fashion; I had the mushroom omelette and my husband had the classic Benedict. The person who brought out our food forgot the side of bacon we ordered, but as soon as we let Greg know, he brought the bacon over and didn't charge us for it! I would recommend stopping by for brunch and/or dinner - they have an amazing bar, and a rooftop patio in addition to their indoor dining table.

Absolutely wonderful food and drinks. We tried several places on our visit that were 5 stars that missed the mark but this was not one of those. The Bloody Mary delicious, the food amazing. We had pork belly sandwich, bacon fried rice AND the churro waffle. You can't go wrong with any cuz all were amazing! The beverages were delicious and service was great!

My first visit and I loved it. It's secluded...borderline hidden...and has a great speakeasy vibe. The bartender was a pro and the service in general was very personal and very good. The food was good but not the highlight of the evening. I ordered the scallops and liked them but the appetizers were the best part of the meal. Will go back for sure. May go back just to sit at the bar. PS parking can be a challenge so plan to arrive early.

What a delightful place to eat with friends or a date. I loved the ambiance and lighting. The booth that we sat in was nice and spacious. Our server was great. Food: I had the mushroom pasta. It was really good and I love the variety of mushrooms that they used in the dish. Tofu dish- amazing Jerk fries- good but the two sauces that came with them weren't my favorite. My friends did like the pineapple ketchup for some reason. Mocktail - The Where the Sidewalk Ends was delicious!

Bottomless mimosas? Yes, please! Their mimosas are just the right mix of fresh orange juice and bubbly and one of the last bottomless brunch options I've found in the post-covid world in STL. The Bellwether has a modern-industrial design and plenty of natural light. It's the perfect spot for a relaxed yet upscale brunch experience. The biscuits and gravy I had were really good and the service was pleasant. They seemed a little short staffed at the time but everyone was pleasant. I haven't had dinner here but the brunch was a great option for anyone looking to have a nice morning out in the city.

Came here for brunch on Saturday and we had so much fun. I originally made a reservation online for my party and the size kept changing- they were so accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. Huge thanks for the customer service! When we arrived we were seated on the second floor, which I didn't even know existed or was part of Bellwether. Our server was attentive and we ordered drinks first. I ordered an espresso martini. It was very light and used with more of an actual coffee or cold brew. I always have trouble ordering here since a lot of it sounds good. I ended up getting the BELT, blt with an egg. I also ordered the cinnamon roll to share with the table. The cinnamon roll was probably one of the best I've ever had. I've learned they can be tricky when ordering out, and they often become hard. This one was divine and came with pistachios on half of the frosting. It was also served with fresh fruit. The BELT is super good! The egg makes it delicious and the ingredients are really fresh. I prefer a bit softer bread, but overall it was great. Potatoes will cooked wonderfully. Always a nice experience here and hoping to sit on the patio next time!

What a fun little place. I took the whole family here on a whim. I was not disappointed. We scored a table during brunch and had some amazing Lox egg Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and some cocktails. The drinks are above par. I got the Lorax and I highly recommended that. The staff was very accommodating even with a group of messy kids. We walked in without reservations but we still found some great seating. Check this place out.

Love this place. The drinks are excellent. Great cocktails. Service is nice and friendly. They work well with trying to meet your needs and very patient. The ambiance is beautiful. The right date night setting. Or even a work dinner. Food here is all great. I've had a lot from their menu and it's all delicious.

I did not pick this place. I was meeting my sister, who was in town from the Bay Area, and her bestie picked this spot for dinner. The ambiance was lovely, but it gets very loud so avoid if seeking a romantic, quiet dinner. The patio is lovely. One side offers sunset views of the city. (There's a safety wall though, so the view is thwarted.) We actually retreated to the terrace for dessert. The breeze was perfect. Service was ok. I was annoyed that every time I inquired if something was vegan the waitress responded with "it's gluten-free." Those are two entirely different things and it peeves me when restaurant staff equate the two as one. That being said, she went to the kitchen and got confirmation each time. (The menus are not marked with allergen or dietary codes) Wait time - The appetizers came quickly but the entrees took an hour to receive. (Precisely one hour per my photo stamps) We did not complain because we were busy talking and catching up, but be prepared for the possibility of long waits for your food. Vegan food: Okabe - This is a vegan entree. Rice noodles in a peanut sauce topped with a perfectly cooked crispy tofu. It was a great dish. $25 (FYI the in-house menu description differs from the online menu description.) Jerk Fries - The name is misleading, but the fries were good. A nice crisp texture and the seasoning was nice but had no remnants of jerk flavor. This appetizer is vegan as long as you don't eat the mango lime yogurt that is served with it. (I shared this appetizer with the table so I allowed them to bring the sauce for the nonvegans). $14 and enough to share with 2-3 people. They had no vegan desserts. They do have a few mocktails. I heard that this place is owned by the same owners of Polite Society. Although I wouldn't return here on my own, I am grateful that they had a couple of tasty vegan options for me that evening.

This was my first visit! I came on a Tuesday night for happy hour with friends. They open at 5. We had a reservation for 5:15, and the place was quiet for Tuesday. We had choice of inside or outside patio with view! It was too hot to be out, but inside was good. We each ordered small plates to share. I got the grilled artichokes with beet salad, ricotta cheese, and crostini; and tomato salad with balsamic, fresh basil, corn, and fresh mozzarella. Each were excellent! So delicious! One friend ordered the jerk fries, which came with two dipping sauces and were good - hot, crisp on outside and soft on inside. The other friend ordered the mushroom ginger dumplings, which also came with a dipping sauce. They were ok (my least favorite, because the dough was thicker and tougher than I'd like). My specialty cocktail was wonderful! I ordered the "Paradise Lost" with Basil Hayden's Bourbon, Yzaguirre Dry Vermouth, Broad Bent Rainwater Madeira, Brown Turkey Fig Leaf Syrup, and Lime Juice. It was a bit pricey (more eek) for the small glass I got at $15. But it was splurge with the girls night - so what the heck. Overall the food menu was small, and a bit pricey for a $$ rating on Yelp IMO. I ordered pomodoro to go - it was $23. It wasn't a huge portion or the best I've ever had. I don't know that I would order it again. I thought I might get bread or crostini for that $23. Nope. It came with just the pasta, sauce, some basil pesto on top, and grated cheese. So I was disappointed when I got home and checked out my to go order (it was a good individual serving size, but just not for $23). The happy hour small plates we ordered ranged in price $14-$18 each. The service was great. The staff were super friendly and helpful in ordering advice when asked. They also provided a half mocktail drink for a friend who wanted a smaller serving. The atmosphere is cool -- old industrial space turned classy, yet not snobby. The bar area is fun. The lighting fixtures are beautiful. I love the patio area with its view and string lights hanging above. I bet it's a great spot at night! The feel of the place on that Tuesday night was casual, laid back, not pretentious, cool. It was perfect for our girls happy hour to catch up! There is ample parking with free street and a parking lot right there. The Bellweather is on the third floor -- and it felt a bit like a hidden treasure to wind your way to find where they were in the building! Easy to find with the directional signs, but still almost like you were journeying to a semi-hidden spot as you walked along curved corridors and through various doors! I hovered between 3 and 4 stars... I'll giving it 5 for service and atmosphere; 3+ for food, and 3 for pricing / portions. So 4 overall. I'll be back. Although, prices are a bit of a splurge for my pocket book. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and their menu items were unique and made me want to try more. All the food was good to really great tasting. The wait staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. So while it's not going to be a spot I visit often, it will be a special night out -- or brunch! - for me.

Took my fiancé for her birthday. The food was excellent and the view is nice. Make sure to bring a jacket on the roof as the wind whips a round a bit.

Fantastic brunch! Outside patio is beautiful to sit on a nice day, and the food was great. Loved the Benedict and French toast, we split both. Best mocktail I've ever had. Great service as well.

This was our first experience at the Bellwether. I brought my Mom for a girls night out and I was amazing. The menu had so many things we wanted to try that we ordered and shared. We had the beet salad, crab cakes, Brussels and the short ribs. Nothing was short of amazing. The only thing was the crab cakes were a little fishy. But I feel like that's personal preference. We will definitely be back.

Great brunch spot. The Benedict was really good. The smashed potatoes with crispy. Nice and casual vibe. We sat outdoors and had the whole patio to ourselves. It was really hot so that's probably why. The server was great. Made sure we had everything we needed. We also had a birthday so the restaurant sent out a cupcake.
