The Belmont team has Excellent service, friendly, and very helpful as well. When I needed help they really helped me especially because I'm not good with computers. I was wanting a two bedroom but the one bedroom was bigger than I thought. I love the kitchen in my apartment and the big bathroom

This is the best menu in downtown Austin by far with the hardest-working staff that I've met who have held strong here now longer than most other businesses have been able to stay open for. This is also one of the few venues left on 6th Street that can hold up to 500 people between the VIP room the bar upstairs patio, and sofa areas. Did I mention they have nice cushion sofas! Bartenders here know how to serve just about every single kind of rank and even serve me up my favorite non-alcoholic beverage made of different fruit juices! Also thankfully they have water that's been verified served in the glass container at each corner of the bar Getting parking here is thankfully easier to most places to downtown you could just park at either of the parking garages nearby and literally walk over. They do their best to keep the restrooms clean here and keep up with all the people that come in and out of this venue which on some nights goes well into the night. They also play healthy mix of music. :) Sound system and they have people who know how the management do know how to operate the sound equipment which is a huge Plus I cannot say enough how hard it is to find a bar with people always on staff who know how to operate the sound equipment! Every week there's something going on at this place especially as it continues to grow in popularity. And thankfully just west enough on 6th Street to keep it accessible for folks like me who like to avoid 6th st going east past congress.

Hamid was the most accommodating person we worked with while planning and re-planning our wedding and it was an absolute pleasure getting to work with him. The Belmont was the perfect space to host our event. We were able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at the same venue, but each felt like like they were all at a different location, thanks to the rooftop, in door bar, and outside dance floor/stage. There was also large spaces for the bride & groom to get ready in before. If you want a true downtown Austin experience, this is the spot!

First ever silent disco & it was so much fun!!! Decided to do the VIP experience and I do not regret it at all. We did not try any of the food but the open bar did not go easy on the liquor and the view from up top was fantastic. Great DJs!

Google
You play music OUTSIDE EXTREMELY LOUD late at night (11pm) not just on weekends but also on weeknights!! I am wearing ear plugs which block the sounds of my phone but I can hear the music coming from your venue to my bedroom through my ear plugs. That’s INSANE!!!! I could even hear your music louder than my TV. Please LOWER THE VOLUME, PLAY LOUD MUSIC INDOORS AND CONSIDER OTHER PEOPLE LIVING NEARBY.

Very cool bar. I went to a 420 aerialists pol performance show by S&S Production. I had a great time and look forward to coming back to this bar and the future shows.

Saw a live show at the Belmont and it was a BLAST. The interior is very nice and well furnished, there is a huge balcony area overlooking the outside stage and an outside bar on the first level. The Belmont has all the elements of a great bar/music venue and I'm looking forward to going back soon to experience more of the great atmosphere!

If you have ever considered having an event at The Belmont, RUN don't walk and DO IT!!!! Hamid is the MOST amazing event coordinator to work with! He went above and beyond to make our annual corporate event a HUGE success. The venue was amazing, decor on pointe, the band... OMGSH, AWESOME! Everything was taken care of down to the customized drink menus! We couldn't be happier with our experience there and just the incredible staff and support we received! Especially since our event had to be cancelled and rescheduled in three days due to the ice storm here! Fantastic venue!!!! Hands down A++++++!

Yelp
Love this venue, but we obviously know why it won't get a 5. Its in the middle of a construction site. It's dangerous to walk to, and it was loud. But the show truly made up for it!. Only true gripe was that there wasn't any food at this event (only alcohol) but overall the experience was great!

Yelp
I have only been here for the silent disco nights with my girlfriends, but we have a blast at Belmont. You can have a drink in the spacious courtyard or find ample seating indoors at the bar. Even though drinks are pretty standard, I appreciate the speedy service. I'll be back.

Yelp
Loves, I want to share a new space called The Belmont ( new to me). Encore create an event called wine and poetry night. There are many amazing and talented artist that performed and you also got an ad of comedy connecting with these individuals. Encore thank you for the experience and The Belmont was such a nice space under the full moon in ATX

Yelp
A new dating/friends/business app Desti had their app launch at The Belmont this past Saturday. If you are looking for a venue with indoor, outdoor and multiple levels this is the place! The Belmont did an amazing job with all the details. The bar was fairly quick and made yummy drinks. The restrooms were clean. Music was on point on via a silent disco. Also live DJ outside and 360 camera upstairs. Whether you wanted to partake in the crowded atmosphere or be more chill on the rooftop this place has a section for each vibe. Highly recommend the venue as a personal party planner myself!

Yelp
This is the last time I'll be going to this place again! I went to order the drink and the bartender said she wouldn't serve me and said there you can have water. She was apparently mad because I wouldn't open the tab but wanted to pay with my cash. So I went and order the drink from the bartender on the other side and when I went to order the second drink he said I would no longer serve me and I can have water. What??!! Why??!! They did that when I went on NYE, too. It hadn't been fair to me. And that girl there was rude.

Yelp
My husband, my friend, and I went here for a show. The show was called FETISH: A Ménage A Trois by S&S productions. Basically think like a sexy Cirque Du Soleil with a limited amount of stage. Overall the show was good. While there we got a few drinks. The drink was okay, in my opinion, they had weak pours and each drink tasted different based upon which bartender made the drink. Anyway, our last drink was after the show in the bar area as we were figuring out what we wanted to do next. Multiple staff came to us a few different times telling us we need to leave soon as the next show was going to start. We were a little confused that we couldn't finish our drink. We had even told them we had seen the show prior. Weird but okay.

Yelp
Went for the silent disco and it was a blast!!! Friendly and fun service from the door to the bar. Great energy! Everyone looked extremely foolish and happy being so...at least I was! All 3 genres had great DJs which made it hard to stick to one...thos is a great problem to have. I definitely would do this again. I highly recommend.

Yelp
The Belmont hosted my wife's 50th bday party for about 60 friends this weekend and everyone loved it. We rented the elegant downstairs and the outside stage area since we had a band and we had plenty of room but it didn't feel empty. The drinks they helped us come up with were tasty and there were no surprises when it was time to settle up at the end of the night. Shelby was our main contact person and we traded 50+ emails over the months of trying to come to a decision on what venue to rent and then all the details. She asked great questions and really helped us make a perfect evening. Hamid is the manager/director and he actually came up with one of the drinks that was my favorite. The bar and sound/light staff were all pros and really made for a great night. HIGHLY recommended!

Yelp
I came here this past weekend for their silent disco event and it was so much fun! I ended up being alone but made friends while I was there. They had a thing where you check in and use some hashtags for a chance to win a bar tab and I won!! Thanks to Ham the bar manager for hooking it up all night! I would for sure go back if they host this event again. They also have a great outdoor patio with an awesome bar.

Yelp
Great bar, quick and friendly service, and amazing back side area! I've been in the area many times but have never had the chance to check out the Belmont. It is definitely worth coming back to and checking it out on any given weekend! The drinks were great and the bartender was very helpful in recommendations. The dance area for the quiet events silent disco! All areas were kept clean as best as possible considering the amount of people that were there. Definitely recommend coming here to anyone.

Yelp
Here for a Black Fret listening session. The weather is perfect, which makes this outdoor venue awesome. There is seating inside (why would you on such a beautiful night) and on the balcony. Sound is great! Cash bar was as expected and wait was reasonable.

Yelp
The Belmont! You're back! And in this incarnation, you are a swanky, cool music venue rather than a swanky, cool restaurant. Well, I have to say, I love you more now, since we've got plenty of good restaurants in this town and not enough decent outdoor music venues. Last night was the grand re-opening which featured a free with RSVP show of Not in the Face and Trail of Dead. And it was not packed. Seriously. So glad I went. The drinks were good and strong and well-priced. I think my Sapphire Snoop was $6 or $7? Definitely strong and good. Beers were $3 and up. Maybe this is just grand opening prices but I'm happy. Supposedly they are going to have some trailer food there eventually or something but it is totally not necessary. The music, drinks, and decor were well enough for this space. One suggestion would be to mix up the pre-show music a little. It was two in a row for each artist playing which was fine if you liked what was on, but definitely excruciating when an old Green Day song came on and we were dreadfully anticipating if they were going to play "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" or some other crap after whichever early-GD song they had played. *Shudder*

Yelp
We came to The Belmont for a private event. The bar staff was extremely friendly and stayed on top of the large crowd. Very good drink selection. Live music and entertainment.

Yelp
Came here Vday for the S&S fetish show. Was a little apprehensive because it's an open air venue and it was gonna be in low 50's. Parking wasn't much of an issue. It is on 6th, but If you go a few feet past there's a garage on the corner. The venue itself was fine IMO. It was clean, bar had staples- Dos XX, shiner, Tito's, etc. Bathrooms were clean as well. Had no problems with personnel- bouncer checked ID and had no problems. Clientele was Austin- saw a couple cross dresser, older couples, groups of woman, etc- people from all walks of life. I docked a star because the seats could've been a little more comfy- maybe chairs with a cushion to help with cold metal in Feb. Warmers outside would've also been nice. I'd come here again- next time I'll bring a cushion or blanket. If it were raining or July/ Aug I'd think twice.

Yelp
Belmont is a cool night time stop just west of the downtown hype. Hardly any parking so plan to park on the street. Walk in and the open landscape provide plenty of room to move around. the bar is to the right and the menu options are ok. the full bar will provide you more options that their cocktail menu so don't feel restricted. Far left was a smaller room that had an event and far back right was a open music venue for live music and what not. again the landscape for this venue is great, plenty to see and do with the cool décor, DJs, live music, drinks makes for a cool spot to check out in/near downtown Austin.

Yelp
My sister chose the Belmont for her wedding reception. I was actually impressed, the online photos looked too much like a bar and I was worried. The Belmont has two stories, and an outdoor area. You can get to the second floor from the stairs inside or the out side stairs. Outside has a stage, a palm tree or two, and nice white lights strung overhead for a little evening ambiance. Inside has a modern take on a retro look. The yellow walls and black and white floors go together nicely. There is a large bar downstairs, space for a seating area, a stage area, and a small area in the back where the buffet line was set up. There was also a second room with sofas and TVs that they had set up as a game room for children. They had Jenga, Twister, and even a Wii. Upstairs also had a room that was set aside for the bridal party. It was nice to have somewhere safe to store our stuff. The upstairs room led out to an outdoor patio that looked down over the outdoor area and stage below. The staff was incredibly friendly. They even ran outside with an umbrella for the bride when it began to drizzle. They promptly cleared empty plates and classes to keep the event neat and without clutter. The only odd thing was that they did not have flatware or silverware, although they did serve food for us. No one seemed to notice, and I am sure it was a quick clean up after our event. All in all we had a great experience!

Yelp
This place absolutely sucks. Drinks are terrible. Music is worse. Venue is cut up enough that it's not a good central dancing spot. I ordered a sprite and got charged $30 with no receipt. Asked to close my tab and they told me I didn't need to because it was non alcoholic. Why $30 and why no proof of it? Never coming back here again. Avoid.

Yelp
DO NOT visit this venue, it is not safe. I was at the Belmont for NYE. I walked past a group of people and a woman started arguing with me, stating I spilled her friend's drink. I told her to leave me alone and she punched me 3 times in the face & her boyfriend was pulling and pushing me around. I ended up with a concussion, black eye, multiple bruises on my face and & as well as whiplash. The security claimed they didn't see anything, yet they kicked out the two people. Security didn't help me and didn't seem to care. I went outside about 30 minutes later and the bouncer was allowing the boyfriend who had been pushing me around to come back into the bar as well. For the sake of your safety - do not go to this venue.

Yelp
This used to be a cool place but has gone downhill. There is never a reason to be rude to paying customers however, rudeness prevails at The Belmont. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
A STUNNING VENUE! I have now been to the Belmont twice, for two different events and both have been amazing experiences. The unassuming outside- with the ivy wall, winds you around to a beautiful, open-aired court-yard. You go inside the building and you are overcome by the plush furniture, and geometric tile. This space can be transformed into anything, but it exudes a sense of hidden luxury that is hard to organically come across in Austin. Getting in and out is very easy, and they ID you at the door cutting down on bartenders having to check, thus holding up the line for booze. Another perk to this venue, is depending on the event you can purchase VIP seats, which include reserved seats that are closer to the stage. Just an additional touch, that i appreciate.
google avatar

Gee C.

Yelp
We had our corporate party here and it's a nice venue. There are many different areas in this venue for different entertainments. The stage was great, the bar area and the outside deck was nice as well. The lighting worked well. One complaint - it was very hard to talk as music played too loudly and the way the sound bounced off the walls was hard to chat with anybody.
google avatar

Heather F.

Yelp
It's hard to talk about places nowadays in Austin that used to be one thing and have become another without making comparisons. Example: The Belmont used to have a great kitchen that has since been taken over by the restaurant next door meaning the inside is less than half the size it used to be. No food here anymore but at least when you go to see a show it will be intimate. My 1st time back here was recently during the rained out Sunday of ACL when Lone Bellow played a free show. The inside is really narrow with a small stage, meaning if they cram people into this tiny space (that includes an inside bar) you will have a hard time breathing in your rectangular coffin. This was the case with the Lone Bellow show. Having said that it made for a really fun performance. Just be aware of the very 'little room' factor. One of the appeals of the Belmont has always been their outside area and it is still in tact. Here you have a 2nd outdoor stage and plenty of patio space with a walkway upstairs. There is also a 2nd bar outside. Prices are average for drinks in this side of town and they do have several local beers on tap when the taps are working. It isn't uncommon from my understanding for some of their beer taps to have issues. The night of my visit the 512 Pecan Porter was out. No parking at Belmont so you will have to find street parking.
google avatar

Xavier B.

Yelp
Do NOT go here during a holiday. Went here during the 2019 New Years party. I paid $75 each for 2 tickets for me and my wife. They overpacked the club and only had 2 bartenders behind the bars. It took almost an hour to get drinks that were way over priced. On top of that, the DJs they had playing that night blew out the speakers at the outdoor section.
google avatar

Alexis B.

Yelp
Only open for private events, the Belmont is a small, but very cool music venue!
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Boy is this place lame! But, the good news is that it has promise. I came here one evening for a social event. The venue is very run down and can be updated. The staff is not very helpful, but they could be trained better. The food that was served was minimal and not very flavorful. Again, lots of room for improvement! If I see that, then I'll update my review!
google avatar

Jess V.

Yelp
Came here for free music week and the bands were great. I'm not from Austin so I'm not used to listening to such. Good. Music. On random nights! Definitely recommend coming here
google avatar

Stuart G.

Yelp
Nice venue, but issues with some staff. I was there to see a band and enjoy a couple of beers. My first (and last) time at the Belmont. I've been a bartender back in the day. so I know how difficult it can be, but the was I was treated was a disgrace. Two bartenders (they may have been related to one another) poorly managed the people at the bar all night. They had no idea who was waiting, who was next etc, but sadly this is common and not the worst of it. The way I was spoken to and looked at was a disgrace and unbelievably rude. I couldn't believe what was happening! I'm a 30ish year old married man with a job and a dog, I had 2 or 3 beers, and was polite throughout. These guys treated me like I was a 17 year old waster trying his luck at getting a beer. Not going back. Simple. And when people mention the Belmont I suggest they don't either. In a competitive Austin market this is bad for business.
google avatar

Emmy C.

Yelp
Had our formal here last night! The place was beautiful, half indoor and half outdoor. There's a pretty wall with ivy all on it that makes for a good photo background. The staff was friendly and everyone had a great time :). Drinks were good too and the bartenders really could make anything. Would definitely recommend
google avatar

Desiree T.

Yelp
This place manipulated people to come here for a fake contest to get them in their bar! I came here on Halloween for their advertised $500 costume contest. I was only there for that reason. They asked for a stupid $20 cover at the door (I gave them $10). No one who worked there knew anything about the contest. It's finally announced that it will be taking place in the outside stage. They tried to tell me they can only have 10 contestants which was annoying because I had been asking how to enter and no one knew, so they let me participate. So we are all on the stage and unclear of what's going on, and the guy hosting the stage asks several of us to come down and only three people that he picked (OBVIOUSLY FRIENDS OF HIS) were left on the stage. There was no audience vote, no cheer for this person, no nothing. No cash prize. This was a dishonest way to get people into your stupid bar, I could have spent my Halloween anywhere, but I wasted time at this stupid bar. Don't come here.

Yelp
UPDATE as of 2/2013: Management contacted us and we received a portion of our money back. It was a pleasure to experience customer service. Looking forward to a return and hopefully an overall improved attitude. Cheers. __________________________________ Unhappy New Year My friends and I purchased the Platinum Package ($2500, not including tip) here for New Year's Eve. What a disappointment. I don't think I've ever experienced a lack of service and professionalism like what my group and I were put through yesterday. To quote their website: "20 VIP tickets included Reserved VIP section. Express Entrance for VIP ticket holders. Hors d'oeuvres & Desserts in Addition VIP area (9pm-12am) 5 bottles of Alcohol of your choice. 3 bottle of Champagne. Party favors on table." We waited outside for 30 minutes while the bouncers let in GA. It was so unorganized, as if they had no idea we were coming. Not until it began to rain did they allow us to push our way through. Once inside, we waited for an additional 15 minutes until they took us upstairs. Our group of 20 was brought to a super bright room with 3 small square tables. Two of the tables were occupied with people all sitting. We were placed in the middle of the room at 1 unmarked table with 3 chairs. 3 chairs... We actually had to request more seating. There was no food in sight, no one directed us to any hor d'oeuvres, nothing. The table had 6 paper "Happy New Year's" crowns and that was it for party favors. Our first 2 bottles were brought to us with 10 plastic cups, 1 small carafe of OJ, and 1 small carafe of Sprite. We had to find a server to get our other bottles which came with a pitcher of some cranberry stuff, a tall glass of OJ, and a beer glass full of sprite. No joke. We noticed that we were the highest paying table that night while our surrounding tables who paid over $1,000 less had plenty of seating and favors. Walking downstairs, we noticed an amazing reserved corner in the room next to the DJ and dance floor. That should have been our table, no question. Ours wasn't even roped off so everyone in the building was walking through our area. Did I mention there was no countdown to the New Year? We did it ourselves.

Yelp
I won't go back just because of the door guys. They're exactly the type of people who should never be given any power. Not even taking parking lot stubs to pay. One of them should be arrested for the way he put his hands on me. And this was 7pm, I hadn't had one drink so I don't need to be talked to like a child. As per the reply, I was not creating an unsafe place. I was leaving the sushi restaurant next door and trying to find out what was going on. Also, I don't use parking passes, I live downtown and was wearing a wristband for SXSW. I didn't even enter your establishment so your information is false.
google avatar

Stephen S.

Yelp
Went to the New Years Eve party there and completely regret it. A terrible last evening for a terrible year, so I suppose its fitting. For the kind of prices they charge to get in you really wouldn't expect to see drunk guys in T-shirts passing out on the stairs, fights breaking out, and ONE HOUR waits to get a drink at the bar by the worst service this city has to offer. Definitely making sure no one I know comes back here for any reason. It would have actually been more fun to watch the money spent get flushed down the toilet. By far. What was described on the website and what actually occurred could not have been any more different. And what New Years party doesn't do a countdown? Seriously?
google avatar

Jeremy A.

Yelp
I paid $55.50 for a ticket to a New Years Eve party here. They did nothing that was above and beyond any other New Years party. They advertised: HORS D'OEUVRES, CHAMPAGNE TOAST AT MIDNIGHT, PARTY FAVORS, 5,000 BALLOON DROP AT MIDNIGHT, HUNDREDS OF GIVEAWAYS FROM OUR SPONSORS AND PARTNERS. None of which actually happened. They also had some of the worst wait staff I've ever seen. I only managed to get two drinks the entire night and waited at the bar for over an hour just to close my tab. In fact I was waiting at the bar when the clock struck midnight (Which we didn't know because there wasn't even so much as a countdown going on). I had gotten in line before 11pm and did not expect to still be standing there waiting to a bartender to acknowledge my existence after midnight. So I spent my New Years waiting in line at a overly crowded bar and I paid $55.50 for the privilege. If you see any events at the Belmont I wouldn't waste my money or time.

Yelp
This place should be renamed .... OVER promise and UNDER deliver ! I know this place closed down and is trying to re-open back up with concerts, events etc. All for local restaurants/clubs doing well in the Austin market. However, this place has slowly gone from bad to unmentionable ! The New Years party was a total debacle. It was the "Viet Nam" of get-togethers. No hors'doeuvres, no champagne toast or countdown. Horrendous and unacceptable New Years ! Shame on you Belmont people !!!
google avatar

Brittany J.

Yelp
I love Thursday nights at the Belmont! I love the new white and charcoal interior, but I really love the laid back vibe outside and the $1-2 beer specials on Thursday, the night of their cornhole league. When there's not live music, they play fun oldies (beatles, van morrison, etc.). The bands lately have been good, too. Also--attention single ladies! On Thursday nights the Belmont is crawling in single men! The t-shirt and baseball hat variety, if that's your type.
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
When this place originally opened it was a nice swanky place to grab drinks, enjoy some decent food, and just hang out. The outside patio reminded me of a cruise ship and there would often be a line of good looking ladies waiting to get in. The new reboot of this place is irritating and cheesy and just lacks all the class the previous incarnation had.
google avatar

Robin G.

Yelp
I guess the Belmont's new incarnation has been around a while now, but I just got around to making it yesterday. I never thought I'd find myself saying "thank goodness for the Belmont" but between turnover, condos and Antone's being gone, its kinda nice to have it there to get your bearings as to where you actually are. So the Belmont, for what its worth, is kind of "old school" now, and the Belmont is taking advantage of Antone's absence by booking all the shows they used to (the night before the Supersuckers had played, just to provide perspective). We saw Vintage Trouble; they put on an amazing show and I was happy to see that the ehm, atmosphere felt and smelled like old Austin (versus Searsucker where we went to dinner...HELLO Dallas south). It was kind of weird when the singer yelled "Let me hear it Belmont"...and it was answered with silence. It immediately occurred to me had the same thing been yelled at Antone's a few years back it would have been answered with a resounding roar, but it definitely ended up as a rim shot at the Belmont. Four stars because the bars are not adequately manned and you easily wait 20 minutes for a drink outside. I'm going to stop making every downtown review about the way things used to be starting right NOW.
google avatar

Nora M.

Yelp
Woah these reviews are bad! I went to The Belmont a few weeks ago and it was awesome. We went to a small show and the upstairs patio was great, the bartenders were fine, and the whole venue was really nice and is so pretty. It didn't seem dirty at all. In fact, a guy came by and picked up our glasses every time we finished a drink. I don't even expect that at a bar. So maybe New Years was a clusterfuck but don't let that discourage you from coming here on a regular day.

Yelp
I love that this has become a music venue. They've certainly booked some great bands. However, even when it's not crowded it takes forever to get a drink. There are never enough bartenders and the ones they have seem clueless. For example, once I asked for a whiskey sour and received a whiskey with lime juice. Tried really hard to drink it since I didn't want to wait in line again 20 minutes, but it was just too awful. Thankfully, I went to a different bar (upstairs) where the bartenders had their act together and there were fewer people around. To the owners/managers: please get beer tubs, TabbedOut to speed up opening/closing tabs, and for God sakes, hire more bartenders! And train them! Otherwise, I mostly don't drink at your shows because it's not worth the hassle.

Yelp
I have been to the Belmont for a wedding, A Samsung show during SXSW, and a few concerts. As a venue and a space downtown I love the Belmont. Most recently my wife and I went for the Lupe Fiasco show. We got great bar service, the restrooms were tidy and the event staff was on point. Haters are gonna hate but Belmont as . venue is great.

Yelp
Saw the Features and Kimbra here. Sound outside was pretty good (+1 star!) and the bartenders were fast and friendly and drinks were reasonable (+1 star!). We had seen the Features here before and got there early to grab our previous good spot on a little balcony off to the side of the stage. We were run out of there quickly, being told that the entire area was reserved strictly for people willing to pay a $500 bottle service fee. $500. Bottle. Service. On 6th. There were two sets of people in there, including the manager's (or owner's) way-underaged daughters. I suspect they wanted to see Kimbra and he did not want the crowd bothering them, so came up with a reason to rope off a large section of prime band-viewing real estate, but who knows. (-1 star) So we moved up to the middle balcony, which we were explicitly told was okay as long as we stayed off the stairs. A sizable crowd was allowed to stay there until just after the show started, i.e. when every other spot was taken, and then we were all run off. The setup of the Belmont is such that the stage is only visible from a very limited area, so half the crowd was unable to see the performing acts at all. (-1 star) Security was polite enough about running you off from anywhere you weren't allowed to stand, but when someone asked to speak to the manager, they were basically told, "Sorry, not my problem, he's wearing a white shirt, good luck". When I asked who I would speak to about leaving and getting a refund, I was told the same thing, minus the white shirt part. (-1 star) I could probably have chalked up the experience to a lesson learned about seeing a popular artist during ACL weekend in a poorly laid-out venue, and limited my Belmont trips to lesser-known acts and/or less populated weekends, but the raging apathy of every single staff member (except the bar!) dictates otherwise. Now I just have to hope the Walk The Moon show in November sells out, so I can unload my tickets on Craigslist and not feel bad about skipping a show I already paid for.

Yelp
decent beer selection. prices were fair, not cheap, not expensive. I got a free pint of my choice just for checking in via yelp (no complaint there) the place is small enough that you are never to ofar from teh stage with additional viewing options from the rooftop deck or from inside just to the side of the stage. they even have a big screen displaying the stage, mounted over the bar. my only problem was with the security guy who hassled me for taking pics. yeah, my camera is nicer than most other people, but really, everybody around me was using cameras and smart phones to take pics and video and he said nothing. peter hook was playing and I'm pretty sure that guy wants all the press he can get. he even gave me a wink and a thumbs up, I don't think he would appreciate that I was told I was gonna be kicked out. even the strangers behind me said "don't worry about that guy, he's just being a dick!" so, I give the overzealous security guy zero stars. but I'd go back to the belmont again, just take a crappier camera. after all, isn't that what every artist wants, really crappy pics posted of them on stage? (sarcasm)

Yelp
New owners have a GREAT happy hour ($3 drafts; starts at 3pm), but I don't like the atmosphere anymore. I am a fan of "dark" bars. I liked the old LA, upscale style of the old Belmont. I'm just not a fan of the newer, lighter, dance club looking bar. It's more of a small concert venue now than a restaurant/bar to hang out in. I also miss the old menu with good steaks and appetizers. The only reason for me to come here now are the drink prices and the location (near my workplace), but if you're looking for a nice place to hang out or relax, I'm afraid the club atmosphere may not do it for you. The staff is courteous, but they seem busy with tasks other than serving drinks. When there are only a few people in the bar, an empty drink just isn't going to do it for me. Bottom line: there are better bars within a couple blocks. Unless you're just looking for a killer deal at happy hour, it's best to go elsewhere.

Yelp
My husband and I rented out The Belmont for our wedding on September 28, 2019. We chose The Belmont because it was the place where we first met, at a concert nine years prior. Not only was The Belmont particularly nostalgic for this reason, but also, the manager (Ham) went above and beyond in making our event run seamlessly and for bringing out all of the magic that this space has to offer. We were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset while enjoying cocktails and rocked out to a band with top-quality sound and lighting all night long. In fact, the venue's year-round decor served as the inspiration for the decor and florals that we went with. Truly spectacular experience all the way around. Would recommend to anyone for private events without any reservation!

Yelp
The venue itself is a little weird, the floorplan makes it hard to get a good view of the stage unless you're in the cramped space in front of the stage, and then it's too damn loud because they're trying to fill the whole space. But they have some good parties so they get a star for that. Granted, i haven't been there in a couple of months so maybe things have changed, but the bar service was straight up awful. I've been here multiple times and man, those bartenders don't know which was is up and which cheeks to wipe. It would take 15-20 minutes to get a drink and while waiting in the frustrating line i got a view of the bartenders taking some sweet time making drinks and freaking chatting with the customers while there's a backlog of 40 people at the bar. Ugh. This place is a mess, hope it get better.

Yelp
So apparently, I missed whatever happened. The Belmont doesn't serve food anymore? Or I don't know. Maybe they do. I went twice before tonight. Once was for a really excellent Yelp party and once was for dinner. Tonight I came to see the magnificent Nicole Atkins (she's often compared to Roy Orbison, which was all the more on the nose tonight because she actually covered a Roy song. She's got a huge voice and is an amazing human being). It was a fine venue. The staff are really attentive and kind. It's a little pricey, in my opinion? I bought three drinks total for a friend of mine and it was somehow $27? Maybe I'm cheap. But one small serving of Makers and two well gin and tonics adding up to $27? It seems a bit much to me. The space makes for a fine venue. The roof is a great place to hang out. I don't recall the food, but if they don't serve it anymore, then that's a moot point. If they still are operating in that capacity, I'd definitely be open to it. I'd also be open to seeing another show there. As far as drinking there? There are cheaper places with better reputations that offer all of the same accommodations.

Yelp
So I've been here three times since the big reopening... got to say, I am not impressed at all. Experience #1: St. Patrick's Day, ok they had free beer and bands and the line was like..... four blocks long wrapped around the building and not moving, so no, I didn't go. It's ok. It was SXSW, everywhere is crowded, no biggie. Experience #2: Random Thursday about two weeks ago... the place was DEAD. Horrible, horrible DJ playing music to maybe two other people (it was around 11:00ish) there was no one on the patio, no live music on their stage, what a waste of space. And their tap selection blows. The six beers downstairs were miller lite, bud light, coors light, thirsty goat, and dos equis I think? That was about it. Yikes. I know it's not a beer bar but c'mon. Experience #3: Sunday afternoon at 2:00 roaming down west 6th street... figured we'd give it another go, walk up to the door, $10 cover. SERIOUSLY. All of our jaws dropped and we walked away. I don't know if this is an every Sunday thing or what, the girl mentioned something about food, but we didn't want food and there didn't seem to be a band or anything. So we left. I understand it's a music venue, but it seems to me if you go any other time other than their concert days, it's not a very fun place.
