Paige, my server, is very friendly with a smile. She's attentive to your needs no matter how busy it is. The food is on point. I had the fish and chips (fries extra crispy). Flakey fish with a generous amount of crispy breading made this a meal I won't soon forget. I may have needed a bit more tartar, but that's because I used it all on the first three (of four) generous pieces. The fries were ever so crispy; just the way I ordered. Ambiance is chill and on point. I was alone so I sat in the bar watching one of the tv's, but you can sit in the dining area, where it's very quiet and relaxing too.

This restaurant is located inside the Double Tree Hotel First time here, came for Christmas brunch all employees were nice and accommodating food presentation was amazing (see photo) but our food was COLD not to mention that the steak and eggs were NOT made as ordered We asked for medium well and we received medium rare This is a nice restaurant with beautiful views of the bay, restaurant has a nice ambiance to it but the food was rather lacking due to the temperature and prices are on the high side $7 for hot tea $7 for a cup of coffee $44 for steak & eggs cold &not made as ordered $23 for avocado toast $19 for waffles cold and hard There is indoor and outdoor seating Outside fire places and heating lamps After brunch we tried to have drinks at the bar but the bar closed at 1pm They do validate parking if you eat at the restaurant for 3 hours Other than that the parking is $40 !!!!!

Ciopinno. Enough said. The only drawback is they don't offer it "cracked", which let's be honest doesn't really matter. The red sauce is great. For an elevated experience, get the green curry sauce instead of the red sauce. Life changing.

After a 12 hr drive from LA, with a few stop n go, a much needed dinner was in order. Checked out the Hotels restaurant. The host wasn't too friendly or just didn't feel like working that evening . I work in the hospitality industry and your host should be welcoming and exude great customer service etiquette . A good opportunity here to coach on best practices . This was on a Friday 10/11/24 at 6pm ish. The ambience was relaxing and the wait staff was friendly. My last advice is to check the crackers before giving it to your guest. They were stale unfortunately. The bread roll with the clam chowder was cold , I feel it would have been best served with crostini slices, fresh crotons or oyster crackers . Just a thought for next time . Thank you

We had reserved a table for 4 at 5:30pm on OpenTable for this restaurant. It was difficult to wave down a staff member for the front as no one is standing there. Staff kept saying someone would be there soon. We didn't actually sit down until about 5:45pm (we arrived at 5:20pm). Other guests said they had this issue here before. Apparently also their tablet of reservations was down or had no network connectivity (the area had poor Wi-Fi and phone connection), so if you use OpenTable for rewards remember to keep your receipt in case the restaurant staff can't check you in to your reservation. Once we sat down the dinner went much more smoothly. Our waiter was excellent, food came out quickly. The food itself was great - we got the calamari which does have a hint of spice with use of black pepper and the sauce can be spicy. The dining area in the front has a view of the marina, but it's harder to see the San Francisco skyline unless you sit in the outside patio. There is also a dining area in the back but a large group was seated there when we went.

Standard American fare with a fantastic view of the marina. Even the outdoor waiting area was gorgeous. After a day at the Golden Gate racetrack we rendezvoused here for dinner as we were all staying at the adjacent hotel. The staff was friendly but a tad slow...ok maybe a little more than a tad. The food came out at a decent rate. We started with calamari, they did a great job, all of the calamari was tender and not chewy. The lobster roll was filled with lobster but as with ALL lobster rolls, too darned small! Two of the guys got "special" hamburgers, not the burgers themselves BUT the guys orders....majorly specific. Congratulations to our server and chefs for getting it right!!!

We tried the Tuna Tartare and the curry mussels. We were absolutely delighted with how they tasted. The combination of flavors that the tuna had with the rice was so refreshing. The mussels were amazing that curry flavor was cutting through the coconut milk just perfectly with a bit of spicy at the end. The milk/juice was so good you literally wanted to just drink it! We also had the fried calamari and that batter that was in it was so ultra light and crispy! When you turn around towards the west you could see the sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge. Absolutely stunning of a view. We were here celebrating a birthday and big accomplishment and the food, atmosphere, service delivered at the highest level possible!

My experience at the Berkeley Boathouse fell short of expectations. As Abby pointed out, we felt pressured to order quickly with the kitchen closing, despite having made a reservation. It was disappointing, especially since we were hoping for a relaxed celebration for our friend's engagement. Nevertheless, the restaurant does have one saving grace: the breathtaking views. While the huevos rancheros were enjoyable, it's truly the scenic setting that steals the show. Despite the rushed service, our group still found ways to enjoy ourselves.

The restaurant was beautiful and surrounded by large windows overseeing the Bay Area! We came here for both breakfast and dinner however we were not too impressed. Aside from the high food costs, there were several issues. The biggest issue itself was the lack of service. Both times we ate, we saw one person hustling while everyone else seemed like they didn't want to even be there. The food was satisfactory at best. The seafood pot was really great however there was no mahi mahi included like it said. The steak was a tad cold and the beats were so translucent we sent them back and received orange ones instead. For breakfast the vegetables were not fresh and there was only a couple ounces of salmon. Overall the biggest issue I see I the management here and consequently the lack of proper service.

My friends and I ate here to celebrate our friend's engagement. We made a reservation through OpenTable for 12:45, unaware that the kitchen was closing at 1. This timing put undue pressure on us to order immediately upon arrival, which detracted from the special occasion. It would be advisable for the restaurant not to accept reservations so close to closing time to avoid such situations in the future. Despite the rushed atmosphere, the staff remained friendly and accommodating, although it was evident they were trying to conclude their lunch/brunch service. Unfortunately, there was a slight oversight as my mimosa was forgotten, even after reminding the staff. However, this hiccup aside, I found solace in my order of fish and chips, which was thoroughly enjoyable. The restaurant has great views of the Berkeley Marina, and validates park which is a nice plus.

First of all, can I just say how stylish, easygoing, and comforting this place is! I absolutely love it here. It's not noisy at all. Food tastes good! I've had two events/celebrations here so far such as my graduation and birthday. It's honestly a vibe! Everyone is in their own space, enjoying themselves. I will be coming back.

The ambiance here is outstanding and really sets the tone for a wonderful meal offering beautiful views. The decor is classy and they have large windows highlighting the marina. Staff looks professional and is friendly upon entrance. We came for breakfast while staying next door. Expect to pay $20-$40 per person. French toast was ok. One bagel w/ cream cheese is $10 and they ONLY offer plain bagels. I think details like having 2-4 kinds of bagels to choose from would go so much further when you charge this much, imo. Staff was friendly, but there was some inconsistency or maybe miscommunication. They offer a mimosa and blood mary on the menu, but when I asked for an Irish coffee I was told they cannot make that because they don't have a bar tender working. That seems interesting in itself... but I just said ok, no problem, forget it. Five minutes later, I was told they are making an Irish coffee for me. Awesome- thanks! Then someone approached the table offering a dirty chai, and I declined it. No Irish coffee ever arrived. Comical at best, as it seemed 4 different staff members were involved in the mixup. Overall nice exterior and decor and friend staff, but average food, and don't ask for an Irish coffee; though you may have luck requesting a dirty chai.

Really solid for a hotel restaurant. I've had a few more meals here and the hostesses seem to be a pain (they never want to give a solo diner a decent table)........but the service is always very good. My waiter Jian (sounds like Gin) is the MAN! Love that guy........always glad to see him. Breakfast is always on point with great coffee. Dinner is a solid 4 star experience while breakfast seems to be a 5. Went with the mahi mahi this time for dinner -- good, not mind blowing. SEARED WILD MAHI - MAHI 0 nori and sesame crusted, red curry rice, garlic broccolini, mirin glaze ($34). Breakfast - eggs benny. SOLID. All in all, pretty good option for dining when staying at the Doubletree since there's really not much around the hotel.

We drove down last year for their special Christmas menu and despite a delayed wait til they finally opened the restaurant, the food and ambiance was pretty good. we wanted to give them a 2nd chance this Christmas and booked our reservation for 12:30 this year since they opened earlier. As we sat down, we learned they're only serving brunch to our dismay. Our wait staff had no clue about a Christmas menu. No where on the website does it say what hours the "christmas special" is served or that its apparently a dinner only menu. This shouldve been made clear on the site as there were other guests also inquiring. The brunch menu was your typical/basic brunch - not even a few Christmasy items to choose from. The Christmas special menu should've been available starting after noon. Don't think we'll be back again next year - this place seems a bit disorganized in general.

Food is great. Ambiance is spectacular! And the server during this visit, Roger was simply the best spirit ever to have host our table, especially after a long day of saving lives! I love love love this place!!! From Shun is

My friends and I were looking for a nice place for brunch when this restaurant popped up in the area. The restaurant is within the double tree hotel. There is parking in the street, but you can also have your parking ticket validated if you tell the valet that you're going to eat at the restaurant. I really enjoyed the view while we were eating, it was beautiful with the view of the boats and the water. I would say that there was a lack of customer service. The waitress was no where to be found when we needed something multiple times. It was also really cold in the restaurant. Other than that, the food was yummy.

This is a very nice hotel bar & restaurant. Location is amazing with water front and view to the shore and city. On site parking is abundant but expensive like $35! Though plenty of street parking on the opposite road available. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating with nice views. Full bar with full food since. There is a venue for events on the side just in case. Restaurant front opens to Berkeley Marina trail for a nice walk before/after visit. Food/drinks are very good though be ready to get your drinks after food Staff are friendly and responsive. Oh there is live music band on Friday and Saturday nights make it even cozier. Will be back for sure.

The views of the waterfront here are amazing. It sits right on the waters edge in the lobby of the Hilton. I am not sure why an online reservation was needed for brunch, since the place was pretty empty. We we expecting a lot of people, since the booking website said they were full. We figured we'd try our luck, go, and just wait if we had to. Empty! Good news for us. We set outside on the patio underneath the umbrella for shade. Our server Jian (Gin) rushed over to us and gave us the most welcoming greeting, with a smile and bubbly attitude. Every time he came to check on us or bring another round of mimosas, it was the same pleasant smile. The portions were a bit small for the overpriced brunch, but I guess it's the view, location, and the ambiance that you are really paying for. The food was ok. My steak didn't have any flavor, but I mixed it with my cheese eggs and toast, so it did it's job in filling me up. If you're in the area, and a water person like me, this is a good place for you. I haven't experienced what it is like for dinner, or evening service, but I'm pretty sure I will be back to find out.

We came as a group of 4 for my mom's birthday. Located in the hotel with a beautiful waterfront view and nautical decor, you almost have a wonder view every direction you look. There's a ticketed parking lot but they validate parking which will cost you free 99. We started our evening with some green curry mussels which set things off in the best of ways. I ordered the flat iron steak with creamy truffle potatoes. Tender,juicy and full of flavor. My mom got the oxtail Ragu which had a good amount of tasty of pulled oxtail meat and a ridiculous amount of noodles. For a decently classy establishment this place has some hearty portions and I wont be the one to complain! The crispy skin salmon was cooked perfectly and the huge portion of cioppino didn't sacrifice flavor for size. Everything was perfect especially our service from miss Wanna, our server. Very friendly and attentive The only thing I could say bad about this was the berry cobbler, a bit of a let down but I wont knock them for it. Just wanted to forewarn anybody curious about trying it.

I've been coming here for YEARS!!! I've had a boat at the Berkeley marina sincec 1997... the boathouse never fails to disappoint. The view is gorgeous, the food is "good enough," the service is HORRIBLE, ALWAYS. So lower your expectations and enjoy the view...

Fried chicken breast sandwich is just a chicken strip on a bun, smaller than the tomato's. They brought my soup/appetizer at the same time as my entree. This place is just so so and I imagine stays in business by being the hotel restaurant. I have ate multiple breakfasts and multiple dinners during my 16 day stay and must say This restaurant was very disappointing, the setting is beautiful so that is the one plus. The waitress and manager were both great too, which made this review so difficult. I gave one star for the staff and one for the setting.

We had a reservation at 12:45 pm, not knowing the restaurant would close at 1 pm. That made no sense to us. Reservations should stop at Noon time. We ended up going to Skates instead.

Went here for the first time last night for Christmas dinner. Basically because we were being lazy and hadn't made reservations for a fancy place and this place had availability. We ordered drinks and one of them was wrong, even though the waitress repeated our order back to us. We ordered a Caesar salad and Brussel sprouts as starters to share and then ordered 3 entrees - Shepherd's Pie, Scallops, and the flank steak - to share between the 3 of us as our mains. The starters were good, particularly the sprouts, but then it took a while for the entrees to come and when they did, they brought sea bass instead of the scallops. Again, the waitress had repeated our order back to us. They brought the scallops out shortly. Meanwhile, we had started in on the steak, which was decent but almost cold. I guess I should have looked at the menu more closely because the Shepherd's Pie didn't have any meat in it, and had mushrooms in place of meat. Again, it was decent but barely warm. Same thing with the scallops. I suppose my main beef with this place is how ridiculously small the portions are for the prices. I understand inflation is taking a toll on everybody but 4 scallops? No meat in the Shepherd's Pie? Can it really be a Shepherd's Pie with no meat? Then it took forever for the check to come, even though the place wasn't super busy. I got my parking validated on the way out but then we were unable to get out of the lot because the machine wouldn't accept the ticket. I went back inside and the gal at the front desk said to go back out and press the silver button on the machine and she would buzz us out. Nope...had to go back inside one more time to ask why we can't get out. A different guy had to come outside and do something to get the gate arm to go up so we could leave. Let's just say the total experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

We stayed here over the weekend for our elopement I'm San Francisco and had our small wedding party lunch here. It was so last minute and about 8 of us. I knew it would be hard to find a place to accommodate that many people so we went to this restaurant on the hotel grounds. It was so convenient to have just right there and the vibes were soo chill and calm. We had lunch here and hung out at their fire pit. The next morning I had breakfast here again. I would recommend the dinner menu. I ordered a salmon bagel for breakfast and it was a build your own situation which I wasn't a fan of. Everything else was so nice and dog friendly!

Past experiences have been better. But this trip. It was comical to be given the birthday treat at the end, but to have my Cesar salad brought as a side salad on thee smallest plate. Not to mention $12 shrimp added to it meant 5 tiny shrimp on an even smaller plate. And then there's breakfast.... Order taken mentally, everyone's order mostly wrong, cold and prepared with minimal effort. Not sure if they've had changes since the last time we were there. But the hotel is great. Just choose to venture out for food. Trust me. It's not worth the ambiance.

More so 4.5, we did a reservation through OpenTable and were running a little behind. Tried to call the restaurant and unfortunately no way to reach them. Luckily we were within the 15 min grace period. Parking was a little harder ( there is was easy paid parking) but in fairness there was a huge wedding going on. We quickly got seated and love when restaurants can honor requests if you ask. We decided to order some shareables and one entree since the menu looked great - and we were so glad we did. The cocktails came first and I love the Ubelicious - mad at myself for not getting a second one. Ambiance was great with the views and live music. We also tried out the two to tamarindo, some local beers and the stubborn old mule. All great as well. Food came in shortly after. Honestly each item had something to rave about and great portions. Just bummed they charged us $2 for 2 slices of bread ( in photo below ) that felt a little ripping off. The wings didn't disappoint as they had lots of flavor to offer, the mussels made up for not having oysters ( they should really have oysters ) great artichoke and the tartar was okay nothing to rave about but still good. Lastly came out our oxtail linguine and that too was amazing. The food was a good amount and we even had some leftover. Overall great place, would come back again, amazing views and good service. The check made sense other than the $2 charged for bread. We later made our way to the bar and also had a good time there.

Staying here at the Doubletree and decided to try the Boathouse for dinner. The restaurant is clean and offer a selective menu. There's an indoor and outdoor seating and views of the marina. We experienced amazing customer service that made the experience that much better. I chose the beat salad and chicken sandwich which was delicious. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The meal was reasonably priced considering the area.

Good food in a quiet environment. The manager was attentive and working the room ensuring everyone's needs were met.

My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy, which was nice. Our server was so nice (Jian). Super sweet and accommodating to our substitutes,10/10. This is right by the water. If it wasn't chilly out today, I'd def sit outside as the view is of sf skyline. The food was just average for brunch 7/10. I'd like to come back for lunch/ dinner one day. Thanks for having us.

I'm giving stars for the exceptional service and one for the beautiful view. Can't say much for the food, since for the cost it was sub-standard. I wish there were other eateries close by since both dinner, then breakfast here, were below expectations. Both times my servers were super nice though, so kudos to them!

I've been here multiple times and it's always wonderful. The food is delicious, the staff is extremely friendly and the views are unmatched.

Had a great time at the restaurant. Met up with co-workers for a welcome reception to kick off our work week. Enjoyed a great wine selection and assorted lite bites including tuna tartare, and charcuterie. Friendly wait staff. Great view of the marina!!

I can't believe it's my first time eating here. I used to bike around the marina loop all the time and would always pass this spot. It has such an awesome view of the Berkeley Marina and the bay. We chose to have brunch on the outdoor patio, which has glass dividers that block the wind as well as umbrellas/heaters. Very modern inside and with huge windows...it's a lovely space. The brunch itself was solid. Prices are a little high but are to be expected as it's part of the Hilton hotel + has waterfront views. Service was friendly and the waterfront trail is right out front, so we took a quick stroll after towards the bay. You can park on the street or park inside the hotel lot (they will comp you).

First time for everything right? Friday was a beautiful day at a roaring 91 degrees! The setting of the restaurant was wonderful. I arrived early thinking this place would be super crowded on a Friday... but it wasn't which was great! Made my way through the back entrances where outdoor seating was available and found a nice partially shaded table towards the back where I could still see the beautiful view of the water also to add its fleet week! So the jets were putting on a mini show before the big one! Greeted by a hostesses that had an attitude and was told that we had to wait in the front of the restaurant to be seated. Interesting because there was no sign that gave that directives in the back of the outdoor seating area. Walked through the restaurant to wait at empty hostess booth to have to walk right back outside and was told that the restaurant had "a lot" of reservations booked and outdoor seating was limited. Once I was seated I checked to see how booked they were... only reservations that was taken was at 3:30 pm everything else was open.... So I was then confused as to what was the young lady problem? I did notice there were " reserved" signs on 2 tables in the outdoor seating area. With all that being said 3-4 parties came in w/o a reservation and was given other options to sit at the so called booked tables and I felt like that was very unfair as a first time customer. I had a drink Jewel On The Bay and it was wonderful and my waitress was extremely happy and made me laugh! But unfortunately the hostess ruined my fist time experience, I won't be coming back if I have to be greeted by someone who's not in the mood or has an attitude and tries to cover it with a fake smile!

Friendly staff that are very accommodating! The menu has many seafood items including fish and shrimp. Be sure to stop in for their breakfast, the omelettes and breakfast sandwiches were great! It is a great idea to make a reservation in advance.

If you want to chill, kickback and watch the water, this is a perfect spot. It's somewhat in the cut so the date thang, without running into his/her/them buddies, is definitely possible.

I came on a Sunday which was a perfect day. I believe it's part of a hotel which is great for if you want to stay somewhere & decide to get brekke afterwards. When I first arrived it was pretty much no one there. But then I soon realized most of the people were seated outside because it was such a nice day. I asked if I could sit bar side & they told me that area was closed..um okay! I got seated & my waiter Jin was so nice! Me and my friend had questions about certain menu items & he told us how good they were & if we should share it or not. Now the food..didn't disappoint! The Avocado toast presentation was so pretty that I didn't want to eat it lol but it was also a big portion & delicious. I got the simple brekke which you can't go wrong with it. I forgot what my friend ordered but he said it was good! The one thing that had me confused was that I asked for a mimosa flight & I was told because the bartender isn't there, I couldn't get it. Umm I ordered 2 regular mimosas so how hard is making a flight? It's only 2 more mimosas with different juice..idk! Other than that.. my dining experience was great!

5's across the board! First time eating at Berkeley Boathouse this weekend, after hearing all the hype about it. We ate outside and I'm glad we did. It was an amazing day! (Pictures don't do it Justice) We ordered the ahi tuna tartare appetizer. It was very tasty and great presentation. Then we ordered the steaks (AKAUSHI WAGYU FLAT IRON STEAK) it wa delicious! Tender, medium well, and in a red wine reduction sauce that was sweet and savory! Sides: Truffle mashed potatoes and green beans. I had 4 green beans, wish they had given more veggies. It was clear the steak was the star of the entree. Hostess and wait staff were polite, engaging, and attentive. They kept our water and coffee topped off and anticipated our every need. Did I mention they have live music at dinner? Around 6:30-7:00p. We heard a few songs before leaving as we had been there since 3:30p. The band was really talented. I was impressed. Great dining experience. I really want to try their breakfast/brunch menu. I would definitely go back!

Service was very good here and they accommodated a slight change in our reservation. (We went from 6 people to 7 people) Unfortunately this meant we had to sit in the mezzanine away from the windows so it ended up feeling like we were at a conference cafeteria lunch in an old hotel instead of being by the windows, seeing the water and enjoying some natural light. It was a family reunion of sorts so that was disappointing to me since I wanted someplace nice. Service was very attentive and friendly but I didn't do a great job of studying the menu as it wasn't very extensive (fish and chips, burgers, brunch items etc). It's great for a hotel restaurant but missed the mark for what I thought would be a bit more memorable. Instead I'll be remembered as the cousin that took her relatives from Shanghai to a hotel restaurant.

Worst bartender ever , guy was horrible with a shitty attitude for no reason. The guy with the bun in his head is absolutely useless. Food was good though.

Came here for dinner on a very busy night so maybe that was part of the reason for the below average food but overall it was just nothing spectacular or stand out especially for the price. The garlic fries were the only redeeming part about this meal. We spent $26 on the charcuterie which although was good, it was not worth the price at all. You would not be able to share that with more than 3 people. We got the oxtail pasta, there was maybe 2/3 small chunks of meat and the pasta itself was hard. The crab roll was served on a cold french roll and lacked flavor. On top of this we only saw ONE server the entire night and she was handling multiple tables including big parties. Her service was great despite her being visibly busy and stressed. Hopefully with the prices you charge you'd be able to hire another server and not have so much stress on one!

Stayed at the hotel and came here for dinner and breakfast. The ambiance was nice, but the food at dinner was disappointing (and took forever). For the steep prices you pay, we expected better tasting food but everything fell short. We tried the mahi mahi and wagyu steak - both overcooked, veggie risotto was overwhelming with contrasting flavors that did not go well together, the cioppino was too sweet and heavy on herbs, even my 5yr old who loves pizza, did not like her pizza flatbread as it was overly saucy and too much oregano. Breakfast food was better as it's simply eggs, toast, the usual fare (still at steep prices). The service, however, felt like there was a swarm of staff but no one knew what was going on or all were on training wheels. We repeatedly had to ask for items (highchair, waters, cream for coffee, togo boxes...) Overall, it's great to have at least one restaurant onsite, but for the price you pay, we expected better food and service.

The clam chowder is good here. I also ordered the Waygu flat iron steak with mashed potatoes with fried green beans. It's not really waygu though. The meat seemed like it was very lean and tough almost. But overall it was a good. Breakfast was to go, I ordered the regular eggs, sausage and country potatoes. Their pork breakfast sausage are plump and juicy. Normal eggs and large cut county potatoes with onion and bell pepper that is seasoned. The four stars comes from the amazing view from the restaurant. You can dine outside and watch beautiful boats docked in the marina or taking off. The service is great, everyone is very friendly and happy to serve you. Located inside of the double tree hotel.

Hubby brought me here for some seafood and it was bad Ordered the calamari, wasn't crispy. The ciopinno was small and very little seafood but it was bad. The garlic bread was our favorite. The view was beautiful, they had a live band and we watched the sunset.

We love this location. It is gorgeous. We were told that the restaurant was going to be full and our initial party of 18 would have to be split up even though I said we would need to speak to the group as a whole. I was also told the checks could not be split, so I asked everyone to bring cash. When we got there, we were able to put our group together (two tables side by side) and we were also able to separate the checks. I am unsure why I was told one thing the day before then told another when we arrived. I like clear communication. The food and service today were just okay :( I feel like I paid too much money for a basic tasting meal, at least the company was good. The food was basic and not hot when presented. A few orders were missed entirely causing much longer wait times for some to eat. Also, service was slower than anticipated though the restaurant was not crowded. The servers were kind. We just didn't know what the hold ups in getting food was. We didn't appreciate the server who turned the firepit on. We went over to sit by it before leaving. That was a nice touch. We brought a group of friends here in hopes they would like it enough to return. Most said they will think about trying it again.

I have actually stayed here many times to visit both family and a son at Berkeley. The food is not the issue it's the service. They have a great location and can get by along by doing little else.

Our party of two arrived at 6pm on Monday night for Berkeley Restaurant Week and was seated right away. We had a reservation with OpenTable at 6:30pm which we did not need. Because it was windy that day, we chose to sit inside and were seated by a large window with a view of the water and San Francisco. There were heaters and a fire pit outside. Their $40 4-course meal was very accommodating to vegetarians. We each ordered different items so that we could try more dishes. Starter: 1. Grilled broccolini w/red pepper pesto, pickled onion, tzatziki crema, parsnip threads ($14 on regular menu, 4/5) - This had a great flavor profile although the dish was unexpectedly on the cooler side. 2. Seared ahi w/grilled pineapple salsa, avocado, ancho relish (not seen on regular menu, 3/5) - The flavors of this dish did not seem to mesh as well together as with the previous dish. It was also strangely room-temperature. Soup/Salad: 1. Boathouse clam chowder w/grilled sourdough ($10 as soup of the day on regular menu, 3/5) - This is not disclosed on the menu, but it comes with a crumbled bacon topping (I don't eat pork). Luckily, the server asked if it was okay, so we said no. Unfortunately, the soup arrived at our table with bacon so we sent it back. The soup itself was decent with a good amount of clams. 2. Little gem vol-au-vent w/grilled corn, shaved manchego, pickled fresno, Tejano dressing ($12 on regular menu, 4/5) - This was a fresh salad with good flavors. Entrée: 1. Grilled mahi-mahi tacos w/avocado crema, pico de gallo, cotija cheese (not available on regular menu, 4/5) - The toppings overpowered the fish, but overall, good flavor combo. 2 corn tortilla tacos. 2. Mushroom bolognese with fresh pappardelle and grilled bread (not available on regular menu, 4/5) - Generous serving of soft noodles with a salty mushroom sauce. Dessert: 1. Chocolate Cake ($10 on regular menu, 5/5) - moist and rich 2. Turtle Cheesecake ($10 on regular menu, 4/5) - super heavy, a bit too sweet 3. Almare gelato flight - we did not order this. For drinks, I got the Westcoast Cooler (Westward Whiskey, Mandarin Napoleon, Lemon Juice, Alchemist Peach, Fresh Basil) which I thought was very mediocre (2/5) especially for $18. My partner got the Westward Whiskey Flight ($22, 4/5) which included a half ounce each of the Westward Single Malt, Westward Stout Cask, and Westward Pinot Noir Cask. Our favorite of the 3 was the Westward Stout Cask. Overall, nice ambiance, excellent service (our server Mely was amazing!), and decent food and drinks.
