"Strawberry Ice Cream We took a little jaunt down south to Homestead this weekend, a city with a truly overwhelming amount of incredible things to eat. One new spot we checked out was a place called The Berry Farms, a huge property full of family-friendly activities like berry picking, a sunflower maze, and various playgrounds scattered about. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon, especially when we got our hands on their strawberry ice cream. One of many great things about Homestead is that it’s sort of the unofficial dessert capital of South Florida, and The Berry Farm’s simple but very good strawberry soft serve is a worthy member of the Homestead dessert club. " - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea

"The Berry Farms is a huge farm in Homestead full of family-friendly activities like berry picking, a sunflower maze, and various playgrounds scattered around. It’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon (especially with children who have lots of energy). There are also some good things to eat here, specifically The Berry Farm’s simple but very good strawberry soft serve. It’s a worthy member of the Homestead dessert club. Just know that there is usually an entrance fee to get in—but it does give you access to all the activities." - Ryan Pfeffer

**Review of The Berry Farms** I recently visited The Berry Farms on Mother’s Day, and overall, it was a lovely experience with a few highlights and downsides. **Sunflower Spot:** One of the standout features of The Berry Farms is their incredible sunflower area. It's the perfect spot for taking stunning pictures! The vibrant blooms create a beautiful backdrop that adds a special touch to any photo, making it an ideal location for celebrating occasions like Mother's Day. **Public Areas:** The farm offers plenty of public spaces to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Whether you want to stroll through the fields or find a cozy spot to soak up the sun, there are ample places to unwind. It’s a great environment for families and groups to enjoy spending time together. **Food Quality:** While the ambiance and scenery are fantastic, I must mention that the food doesn’t quite measure up to the rest of the experience. It left something to be desired, lacking the flavor and quality I had hoped for. However, the good news is that you can bring your own food! This makes it easy to organize a delightful picnic afternoon, allowing you to enjoy the lovely surroundings while dining on your favorite snacks. In conclusion, The Berry Farms is a wonderful destination for enjoying beautiful outdoor scenery, especially with the sunflowers for those perfect photos. Despite the food not being the highlight, the option to bring your own dining makes it a great place for a picnic and family gathering. I look forward to returning, especially for more picture-perfect moments! 🌻🍓☀️

My family and I enjoyed a late afternoon here on a Monday. It was a lovely experience overall. The property is very new, clean and spacious. There are many picnic tables under shade near the play areas for parents to sit and supervise their children. The playgrounds and the jumping pads are well shaded, clean and new. The farm store is cute and there also is food, coffee, drinks and ice cream offerings. It was strawberry season and so we enjoyed the you pick which we thought was a great price - $15 for the large tray which I estimate was a couple of pounds heaping full. This is in addition to paying an entry fee ($40 for family of 4). Sadly by the time we went to order food the kitchen had closed - I was looking forward to trying the food which looks so good on the menu. A couple of cons or things that can be improved in my opinion: - entry is too expensive for adults: I understand paying entry for kids being that there are many activities for them at the farm but there are no offerings included in the entry fee for adults. We don’t play at playgrounds or jump on the pads so why did we have to pay a fee to supervise our children playing? Perhaps one beverage per ticket should be included in the entry or another incentive. When I bring my kids to a trampoline park or play place I do not pay entry fee for myself. All of the attractions for adults like food and beverage or you pick is additional cost so what is the entry fee for? Should restaurants charge an entry fee too? Again - entry fee for the children made perfect sense as there is so much for the kids to enjoy. Staff was a bit of a downer. There were about 5 staff members we encountered during our visit all at the retail area. Teenagers playing on their phones and very disengaged. It was out first time visiting and when I asked what does admission include the answer was “entry and the playground and stuff”. I think staff that is more engaged, welcoming and informed on how to speak of the amenities would really bring this place to high level of experience. Overall I would recommend you come and visit this spot if you have young kids. During the week you will enjoy the farm to yourself with no crowds. Your kids will have a great time!

My family and I went to visit this farm in March 13th and we had a lot of fun! I have to say that the farm is clean and the kids activities are in a safe environment, which I love. We have flowers , picked up strawberries and did plenty of activities with the boys. We’ve bought a few products from their store, specifically the strawberry butter jam that I tried and tasted delicious and my little one just loved the way it tasted. We got a brand new jar and and I opened the next day for breakfast and it had Mold!!! :( unfortunately I had to throw the whole jar on the trash and directly contacted them to explain the situation, they were very kind and understandable, asked for my address to send me a new one. And also offered me the refund, which I’m not interested in, but the intention is what matters. To my surprise today I received my butter jam and not only that, but one of each kind of their creations. Thank you so much for taking care of your community and your clients, this is indeed very kind of you as a company.

What a wonderful experience I had! Totally exceeded all of my expectations. There was so much to do and I loved every minute of it. The strawberries were so sweet and delicious. The staff was great and friendly , there was plenty of free parking and the food was amazing too. I’m definitely going back soon.

The Berry Farms is a beautiful place with lots of open space for kids to play, making it a great spot for families. However, I can only give it tree stars due to several drawbacks. First, the pricing is quite high, and the entrance fee mainly covers access to the farm—you have to pay extra for almost everything else. For the price, I expected more to be included. Another major issue is the lack of shaded seating near the large field with kids’ activities. This is Florida, where the sun is intense, and even with hats and sunscreen, kids can easily get sunburned. Having some benches with shade would make a huge difference for parents and children needing a break from the heat. Overall, while the farm is scenic and spacious, the high costs and lack of shaded rest areas take away from the experience.

Visited here a couple years ago with my family and it was fun! Came back again during my son’s field trip and got to pick strawberries this time. Which I thought was fun for the kids to do! They had sunflowers to pick too. What I loved is all different play areas they had. They have a wooden park, obstacle course, trampoline bubbles and hayrides too. They sell merchandise and local vegetables and fruits. They do sell food and milkshakes!

Visited the Berry Farm for the first time February 22, 2025, the last weekend of the Strawberry Festival. What a treat. Something we have wanted to do for years. It was quite enjoyable although a bit pricey. The entrance fee for adults was $23. This only gets you inside. Everything else is extra. The place is large and spacious which we prefer than crowds. First up was the lumberjack show at 2pm. Silly humor but we still enjoyed it. We won't spoil the surprise and give away who won the saw contest. We had lunch and listened to live band which was really good. Played some classics from the 70's too. The aroma from the grill was so enticing. I enjoyed the barbecue ribs with baked beans and mac-n-cheese. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich. Then we went to pick strawberries and sunflowers. This was the highlight. We strongly recommend bringing your own heavy-duty bags not flimsy plastic bags (One to carry the strawberries, and LONG bag for the sunflowers) and some flower cutters. Also bring wet wipes and paper towels. When pulling the sunflowers the roots with dirt are all attached so you need flower cutters. They are hard to carry around. Please keep in mind you will get very dirty and dusty. So, dress appropriately. Thankfully we did with jean shorts and tshirt and boots. Also, we recommend doing this last as the flowers will wilt fast. There were some cows we could visit. Maple Berre even came over to smell our flowers and tried to eat the strawberries. There is not much to do for adults. There is a children's playground. But we noticed they have evening events with line dancing which seems popular so we will definitely be back!

Fun family friendly farm! We went for the flower festival and had a great experience with beautiful flowers. Plus, took home some tasty jam!
