his is certainly a fantastic hat store for anyone living in Texas who wears a hat every day. We had considered buying a Stetson as a kind of souvenir to take home. We had already looked around in the tourist shops in Fort Worth, but weren’t really satisfied with the selection there. Then we came across the recommendation for this hat store and thought: let’s give it a try – surely they’ll have better prices and a wider selection. And indeed, the selection was outstanding. The service was excellent as well – very attentive, great staff, and extremely helpful. We were able to take our time, look at everything in peace, and got good advice along the way. What surprised us, however, were the prices: around $400 for a standard felt hat, and even $220 for a simple straw hat. I’m sure those prices are fair and justified given the quality, but for us they were simply too high. As a result, we didn’t buy any hats here. All in all, I would say this store is highly recommended for anyone who needs and wears a hat every day – but for us as tourists, it wasn’t the best fit. We later found some very nice felt hats, also made in the USA, at a fairer price point in Houston (as I described in another review).

The experience that I had at The Best Hat Store was great. Everyone was so friendly and took care of us. Jeremy shaped my hat and did an excellent job of making sure that it was fit correctly and looked great. I am very happy with the experience I had.

I live in California and ordered a 40x black felt hat, cattleman crown and a Jb brim. Fast forward to receiving the hat turns out it was the same size i wear but a long oval and it fit me tight. I contacted them, no questions asked shipped the hat back and they got me squared away with a round oval that fits me perfectly. The turn around was quick, and i won’t hesitate to buy again, especially since they have the best selection of American hat co.

They earned all five stars last time when I bought a straw hat. It looks amazing and was shaped to perfection with a minnick crown and a JB Brim. For my felt hat I had no doubts and put in my order on a Thursday and I had an inquiry about my order which was ignored. By Tuesday of the following week I was still being ignored. I asked them to follow up with the question that I had submitted previously .They finally had a cold response and slightly snarky and not their typical customer service that you would expect from the flagship store owned by the same family that owns American hat company. After having to repeat my original question they simply came back and said that the felt hats run small instead of answering my question they just passed the buck and I got the impression that they didn't want to deal with me. It was a very bizarre response to make a blanket statement that all the felt hats run small that's not a disclaimer that they put on their website and that was the first time that I've heard this. If there is any discrepancy in sizing it's usually between different brands but not within the same brand I got a professional opinion who was in agreement at another dealer. I requested a refund and also called them to make share my request was fulfilled because at that point the FedEx label was still in a created status after 5 days and the nice lady that answered the phone confirmed that they had not even started on my hat. It was not a holiday weekend nor was it a complicated order. Very disappointed as a repeat customer especially because I have bragged on this business and sent them referrals as well. I even showcased the straw hat on a YouTube video that I've got a good mind to take down. If you are reading this and still decide to go with best hat I hope that you have the same good experience that I did the first time. I hope that the management and owner give some remedial training to whoever responds to online orders to have better manners with customers.

By far the worst customer service experience I have received in a hat store. No one greeted us, we were looked at by employees and ignored for a while. People would walk in and they were greeted immediately. We were skipped several times till we finally asked for service. While being served they didn’t seem to want to help. Another Hispanic family entered the shop and had a similar situation. Not inputting race as the problem. Just stating what happened. We decided to go to another store were we purchased over $2000 worth of hats for me and my family. I would not recommend coming here at all since the customer service was so poor. The hats did look amazing, but the experience was not worth it. The worst part is they expect a tip with that awful service.

Flew all the way from Atlanta just to come get my American hat. Great, outstanding service. Getting it shaped was by far the best experience ever. Plus I got a beer for waiting, highly recommend. Very friendly people

Don’t go here. Go down the street to Cavenders and have Rodger take care of you, he fixed what The Best Hat store couldn’t and much better customer service. Idk who attended me here but I took 2 straws (resistol and Stetson) and a wool hat (Stetson) and the guy was rude saying he couldn’t reshape my straw hat or clean some stains because that’s how straw hats are. Look at the picture… cmon. He was also supposed to fix the sticker inside and didn’t. On my wool he couldn’t fix the fabric inside because that’s how it was. Still charged me $40 to steam my hats and run his fingers to not fix anything. I rather make a drive to Dallas where it’s better service and they actually fix hats.

Came to get my husband his anniversary present and I thought this place was known for “the experience”. It lacked in all the categories— customer service was below basic and minimum effort. After wondering around the store and no one offering any help I asked “how does this work” which an employee replied “you pick a hat, we have more sizes in the back and those guys will shape it” After my husband picked a hat we stood at the counter again no acknowledgment with employees passing us by, mind you the same employee I asked “how does this work”. That employee walked past us as we held a hat from the rack and then stood at the checkout counter. I turned around and told my husband to ask the employee for his size. One we received his size we waited again in line for it to be shaped and the employee shaping the hat said about two words to my husband meanwhile the other customers were being offered drinks from the cooler and tons of conversation. If you have to have a hat from this place I’d recommend going in with very low expectations of customer service.
