The Best Sandwich Place

Lives up to the name. Opened since 1989 m, they have an incredible breakfast sandwich, the grilled halloumi and tomato on brioche bun. Breakfast sandwich menu is served until 11 am. In addition to the great sandwich, salad, bowl, and coffee menu, they also have a good pastry selection. Their ingredients are beautiful and fresh and the inside is immaculately clean Service is fast for how quality the food is and all the employees were very kind. Good value and quality for the price. Will def come back

It really is the best sandwich place. The sandwiches are stuffed and fresh and delicious. You’re able to customize everything. My friend said she had the best caramel latte she’s ever had here. I had a chicken Caesar wrap it was amazing and my other friend had a prosciutto sandwich. 10/10 so yummy and quick too!

I got the pistachio cream latte with oat milk, and it was really good. In addition to the great sandwich, salad, bowl, and coffee menu, they also have a good pastry selection. Service is fast for how quality the food is and all the employees were very kind. Good value and quality for the price. They have a lot of seating.

The food is AMAZING! I got a quinoa & Kale Salad w/o Chicken (SO GOOD), and my partner got a roasted turkey sandwich with/ jalapenos and he LOVED it! He also got a Caesar salad which he enjoyed. The food was great, but the line situation was a bit chaotic, to be honest. I didn't know there was a sandwich line and a salad line. People were moving around everywhere (shoving I might add). But places like these are usually really good with hectic environments. The staff were okay I guess. It was SUPER busy so they were like “hurry up and buy”. An amazing perk is the Franklin Square Park. So peaceful and serene!

This place is always buzzing and busy! Stopped by for lunch one day and got their Italian sandwich. Served on a fresh baguette it was a perfect combination of flavors. Service is super friendly and fast! Their breakfast is also phenomenal I enjoyed every bite! If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend going.

My Hubby and I were leaving DC this morning, carrying backpacks and walking from one bus stop to another to transfer and my hip had sudden pain. We ducked in here to sit and eat while I rested. I am impressed with the atmosphere and very pleased with our food. We got some pastries and coffee. Very yummy! Nice service with a smile. I would recommend this pistachio muffin like thing. Delicious!!

I’m adding photos and info about them. * They have corner tables suitable for group lunch —up to 8 people in one table. * Breakfast menu is served from 8:00 to 11:00 AM sharp. Avocado and eggs is deadly. I have it with coffee and a hint of oat milk. * I really like having utensils and napkin generously offered self-service, without having to talk to anyone. * As a regular customer for years, I’m happy to see this family business operating with excellent hygiene and food quality. Employees’ joyous mood tells you how good these people are. * If you’re still reading, you can tell how excited I am for the re-opening! 🤩

The sandwiches are okay. The portion size is decent. Its located a few blocks away from the Gallery Place-Chinatown metro station.
