LA County Struggles to Fully Enforce Mask Mandates at Restaurants - Eater LA

"NBC-4 sent a hidden camera into Beverly Hills Bagel Company to see if employees were abiding by the mask mandate, only to find that most were not. After being informed of these findings, the owner said they would enforce stricter protocols for mask-wearing." - Mona Holmes

The plain bagel toasted with cream cheese was good. However, their service was nothing short of horrible. The cashier, who I presume is the owner was on the phone handling his own business and could not be bothered to help his customers out. To his defense, he did apologize twice while assuring customers that he will be right with us while continuing his conversation on the phone. I was second in line and it took over 15 minutes to be served. I am not sure in what universe this sort of behavior is acceptable. I might be willing to give this place another chance, but it surely leaves a terrible first impression and I caution anyone going there for the first time to temper expectations. I also found one bagel and large coffee for over $10 to be a bit pricey.

Just ordered 2 bagels that were incredibly underfilled and extremely overpriced. It’s a shame that they would charge as much as they do for a bagel with a tiny amount of fillings and a single cucumber. Avoid this place at all costs. It would be more convenient and better tasting to go to Ralph’s and buy the ingredients and build your own bagel. 0/10

This 2nd Beverly Hills Bagel location is actually in LA on Pico, a few blocks east of Doheny. My everything bagel with whitefish spread and capers was delicious, one of the best I've ever had. There is nice, roomy, shaded outdoor patio seating. I also had fresh made donuts and a Cappuccino which were excellent. Highly recommended for lunch and breakfast(closes at 2pm).

Google
I got a cream cheese bagel sandwhich with pickles cucumbers and tomatoes and it was delish! The staff were super welcoming and the location is clean with a nice outdoor seating area right in on pico. The bagel was so good that halfway through my sandwhich I went and bought more to take home!!!! Great family environment a bunch of kids came in after me. If you turn right around the corner with the auto shop and drive up half a block there plenty of places to park in the residential area

Google
this is my go-to place for bagels!! i love the everything bagels & they have a ton of other sandwich/topping options. the iced coffee comes with iced coffee ice cubes so it really lasts!! the staff are so nice & service is pretty fast for both takeout and dine in!

Pretty chill bagel place with outdoor seating. No flairs, not expensive, just an easy simple bagel place

Google
Rude staff. I ordered a bagel sandwich and thought the tomatoes and cucumbers were added automatically (i was not asked). Then when I saw they had not been added, I politely asked for tomatoes and cucumbers to be added. They literally rolled their eyes, started whispering about me, and then grudgingly added them. Keep in mind, there were three staffers, I was the only customer in the store, the items I asked for are free and it took all of 60 seconds to add them. A $13 bagel should at least come with good customer service.

Google
Saw a photo and came in for a donut as they looked too good to pass by. Glad I did as it was every bit as delicious as it appeared, though from the stock on hand they don't appear to be very popular (or maybe this place is still too new). I gave them 4 stars. The donut was five star for sure, but at $2.50 for a non-novelty basic cake donut, ouch. It was only because of the price that they weren't rated with 5 stars. Worth a visit, especially if you are a donut fan.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. I love bagels! I ordered a plain bagel and also an omelette sandwich, because I wanted to try the bagel on it's own while I was waiting to see what the flavor was like. Well... it had very little flavor. So, that was not promising for the inbound omelette. Since I already knew how the bagel tasted, the egg portion was yet to be experienced. It wasn't really an omelette but rather just some scrambled eggs with a slice of tomato. And, it was barely warm. I could feel it in the foil when it was handed to me. It should have been very hot as I've experienced elsewhere but this wasn't at all. The young lady behind the counter was nice, but I think maybe she was new because the answer to my "what's in the omelette" question was "that's a good question." hmm. There are many other great bagel shops in the area, so for bagels this place is a big no. They did have some great looking donuts, pastries, and challah though so maybe that's more of their specialty. And, a whole section of the store just for drinks. Parking is on the street if you can find it.

Yelp
I'm always on the hunt for a small business bagel shop in a quest to replace my hometown bagel shop up north. Finally moseyed on over this morning and could not have been more pleased: - delicious bagel and cream cheese (LOVE that they don't add an insane charge for tomatoes or onions) - excellent iced latte, highly recommend the cinnamon brown sugar option - super friendly staff and overall dog friendly spot, service was fast too Very surprised by some of these low reviews and wanted to do my part to counteract since I will definitely be a returning customer. -

Yelp
This little gem of a bakery was a surprise "bagel" experience ...not really a local business, however it is a small business that I applaud... it is charming with a steady group of loyal customers! The staff is delightful and everyone there feels like community! Oh, and the bagels! I don't know what they do with the crust but it is really delicious. I actually got to experience almost everyone of them. Long story long story, so please run and buy from this wonderful place that closes early so get there early I give this five bagels.

Yelp
Stay far away if youre looking for service!!! Service and staff at the cashier are horrible disrespectful dishonest...they treat people like animals... I would come here all the time And would always tip the chef That prepares The sandwiches Two dollars... One day I was short One cent and they Would not let me leave.... I said I put tips every day can I take one penny from the tip jar and they told me no.... The food is fine.. The The man making the sandwiches is a very nice guy very kind of respectful. I'm sorry for the owners that have such horrible employees.

Yelp
They have amazing bagels and donuts here I was very shocked and how good everything was pretty surprised they have such low reviews. Great outdoor s a lot of great fresh bread a delicious coffee and juices. Definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Bagels aren't even made here they are all frozen. Same with the donuts they keep them all in the freezer and then defrost them for the next day. The owner touches your food with his dirty hands after he smokes his cigarettes in the kitchen!

Yelp
My wife and I just came here for breakfast. We had a doughnut, cinnamon flavored cinnamon, raisin peanut butter and jelly bagel sandwich and also a lux cream cheese, sesame bagel with fresh squeezed orange juice. They were fast and polite and very clean. The ambience was nice and calm. The food is delicious. The service was great and there's plenty of seating outside

Yelp
Not only is the food overpriced, but the staff is also exceedingly rude. The owner of this restaurant called my teenage daughter on the phone and proceeded to scream at her because she asked for a refund for food that was not only ordered incorrectly but was also soggy and inedible. Take your money and your time, and buy food elsewhere where they don't talk to customers in such a manner.

Yelp
Terrible spot and customer service not professional after Jennifer made her own mistake she had the audacity to tell me she's not giving me my change back and arguing me over items I never ordered.

Yelp
I'm pretty surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating. My boyfriend and I couldn't get into Factors one morning so we found ourselves at this bagel shop. We both got lox, bagel and cream cheese. Good quality lox, thank you Moses it comes with onion/cucumber/tomatoes as you like and they're crisp and fresh. Tasty bagel, nice texture, super fresh, good cream cheese. We also had a REALLY good donut there, wasn't expecting that. We went back to see if it was a fluke and it wasn't. So now I drive 10 mins to get their bagels instead of walking 1 and a half blocks to get to the Einstein's by my house.

Yelp
Awful food. Dishonest manager. Avoid. This place is over-priced and a waste of money. Blueberry muffin did not have a single speck of blueberry--just cheap, plain batter that crumbled apart. Tomato Basil Avocado Toast is not a "thick layer of mashed avocado," as the description states, but thinly smeared, nearly-puréed avocado the consistency of softened margarine, on two very small pieces of toast, for $14. When we opened the order ten minutes after they brought it from the kitchen, we found the avocado already browned. The whole presentation was sorry to look at. My wife took two bites and threw the order out. I called the manager to let him know the quality issues, specifically the browned, soupy avocado, which was clearly not freshly cut and mashed. He said the avocado was mashed "two hours ago, so it's fresh." That just proved my point. Manager promised me a refund over the phone and never followed through. There are far better, much higher quality, and more professional options--especially in this neighborhood--than this place. Do yourself a favor and try across the street.

Yelp
There was literally a teaspoon of cream cheese on the bagel. Possibly the worst bagel and cream cheese I have ever had in my life. It went in the garbage it was that bad.

Yelp
glad to have a kosher bagel shop in the strip! yum yum grab a dozen and fill the freezer

Myrna J.

Yelp
Yummy Bagels. Good friendly service. We have ordered at least 4 times 2 dozen bagels on the spot and they are available. seating outside clean food well prepared and decent coffee as well. I wish i could more easily order for pick up but i think that is my difficulty not the companies. So happy to have them in the Hood. BTW we are pretty strictly kosher and would not ever order if we had a doubt of their kosher status which is circle K currently.
