The 38 Best Restaurants in New Delhi, India | Eater

"Price Range: $$ An offshoot of Delhi restaurant the Big Chill, this small cake shop decked out in floral wallpaper is known for its European-style desserts, like a Viennese sponge berry cake made with fresh citrus juice and layers of berry-infused frosting, or a French chocolate eclair filled with coffee cream. The shop also offers an array of silky-smooth cheesecakes in flavors like vanilla, blueberry, and — perhaps the best — peanut butter and Kahlúa. In the morning, grab a coffee, sandwich, or almond croissant. Best for: A picnic on the sprawling Lodi Gardens, just a two-minute walk away." - Sharanya Deepak

This is perfect for anyone who loves sweets and delicious treats, they have great pastries, muffins, coockies and cakes here, but the quality seemed to have gotten a little worse over time. I had a dark chocolate obsession cake, and it was nice. Still recommend adding it to your checklist though!

Dropped by Big Chill Cakery last night and the place was buzzing as usual. I ended up trying an ice cream my friend picked and honestly it turned out better than I expected. The texture was smooth, the chocolate drizzle worked really well and the overall taste felt rich without going overboard on sweetness. The counter area looked clean and well stocked and despite the rush the staff handled things calmly. If you're in the mood for something cold and comforting this spot rarely disappoints. I'll probably return soon to try a few more flavours.

It’s always too crowded but the cakes are to die for. Try each cake when you visit. Must try is lemon blueberry cheesecake and lotus biscoff Cheesecake.

Atmosphere was incredible, and definitely was a well furnished restaurant. We got their mudslide and mango ice creams, which were both really good. The only thing that could be better was that the people at the counter had no emotion. A little bit of life would have made the score a 5.

We visited The Big Chill Creamery section post dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It was nearly midnight, and yet it was crowded. There are so many ice cream flavours to choose from and one can trial the flavours on request. There are also numerous toppings that one can order. Gourmet chocolates are also available here that can be boxed and gift packed. The prices are on the higher side but given the portion size and the quality of the desserts, it is justified. The service is quite prompt in busy hours. The ambience and decor is very chic.

More of a takeaway than dining in. Small and mighty. Tres leches was good, light creamy and fluffy, texture was great. We tried other items which turned out to be good also. Prices were above average but worthy.

Dropped by Big Chill Cakery and tried their Nutella Cheesecake Brownie it was rich, decadent, and hit all the right notes if you have a sweet tooth. The Nutella added a lovely creaminess, and the brownie base was dense and fudgy. Though slightly on the heavier side (and pricey too), it’s a treat worth indulging in once in a while. Perfect spot if you’re craving a good dessert fix in a cozy setting.

Both Big Chill Cakery and Creamery are, at best, okay. Their products — whether pastries or ice creams — are nothing out of the world. The taste is decent, but far from what the hype suggests. What’s really disappointing, though, are their hygiene standards — which are quite poor for a brand of this reputation. The outlets often feel cluttered. The so-called “rush” and “popularity” seem more self-created than genuine. It’s not that customers are buying in bulk; the main reason for the crowd is their painfully slow service. Despite having 6–8 employees at any outlet, only one or two actually attend to customers while one person handles billing. The rest are usually idle or doing tasks that don’t seem to add any real value. Overall, Big Chill looks impressive from the outside, but the actual experience — both in terms of taste and service — is pretty underwhelming.
