"The Big Egg was named one of the '16 Vital Breakfast in Portland,' for its dedication '... to quality ingredients and everything egg-y.' The Big Egg was a popular food cart in the Mississippi Marketplace before going brick and mortar in July 2015." - Erin Perkins

The food is great, the Big Egg people are great. Yes, there's a line--and those waiting (most of them regulars) think it's worth it. I did meet someone who didn't like waiting; but before he huffed off, he confessed to preferring the speed of hard-boiled eggs from the fridge, and the flavor and economy of filtering yesterday's coffee grounds through washer-ready underpants. Well, patience and palate do vary; but for those of us whose pleasures are not clinically categorized as "special," the Big Egg offers a range of excellent breakfast options.

I was expecting a bit more from the Big Egg, but a good experience nonetheless. They have a small group of pods in that area so if it isn't your cup of tea, you have some others to choose from.

Could describe it if I had found it :( No longer at the food cart stands next to Prost on Mississippi. They are in the process of opening up a restaurant location. Check their website for location, opening date and hours.

Best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. They use quality ingredients and assemble them deliciously.

Really good. Try the "Nest". Healthy, organic, local breakfast. Have changed name to Hash it Out.
