While the kitchen is currently closed they have no problem with outside food. Love this place highly recommended

I liked the vibe and I enjoyed the beers. Especially the Big Daddy IPA which tasted very differently from the usual IPA (it had almost a hint of honey in it). They have happy hours too.

Nice friendly bar spot and you can bring your own food

I was charged 27.22 for two drinks and I didn't tip. When I checked my bank account I saw the total wasn't the same as it was on my receipt so I've concluded this bar lied and stole from me. That's not cool, don't steal money from people I will never come back here again just because of that.

The Bilt Bar is an awesome neighborhood bar with affordable drinks! The bartenders are always friendly and get your drinks pretty fast. During the pandemic, they added food because of local laws requiring it. I really like the food and think it was an awesome addition!

Staff was nice and the place is comfortable and a nice place to sit, BUT: Over-priced, no prices posted on the wall and no menu. One person working the "kitchen", so simple orders come in pretty slow. The staff is okay and nice people, but slow and distracted. Low score is mostly because I really dont understand why they can't have prices posted - kind of feels dishonest.

Not much of a happy hour deal going on here. The ambience is cool calm collective. This place is very diverse. Didn't eat no food but will visit this place again for quick drinks

Yelp
I love this place. It's the spot I like to go to to socialize with my friends who I've known for over 25 years. Ive been patronizing Biltbar for years. We laugh, joke, and do game night. They have several large screen TV's for watching sports. The servers are kind and engaging behind the bar. My problem with this place is people walking in with their dogs. I've had 3 encounters so far with dogs sitting in a closed environment with people like me who are allergic to dog and cat dander, and all dogs are not hypoallergenic. I questioned the dog policy with Admin and was told that dogs are not allowed inside, yet they are and there are no signs attesting to that, and nobody asking the owners to remove their dogs. Last week Thursday I came to do game night and as soon as I walked in I was told that there was a dog inside. Not only was the dog inside but the patron had her dog sitting up at the bar on her lap at bar level where patrons sit and eat and drink. This is unacceptable and is a direct health warning issue. I immediately began to experience discomfort with my eyes itching, throat tingling and swollen eyes which was noticeable to my friends. I didn't last in there more than 15 minutes, and turned around, called my Uber and left. When I reached home, I needed a benadryl and asthma pump. I refuse to go anywhere where my health is jeopardized because rules are not followed. If indeed dogs are allowed inside, sitting on a barstool, then I will not patronize the Biltbar or any other establishments allowing dogs in ever again. Its either YES they are allowed or its NO Dogs allowed. I'm still confused. Dee:)

Yelp
Definitely a great vibe at Bilt Bar! What more can you ask for....great beer, wine and cocktails paired with a variety of charcuterie boards as well as your usual favorite foods. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely rank them a step above your typical sports bar. If you're in the area, stop in and stay a while. Eat, drink and enjoy!

Yelp
Really chill bar in PH. Good location and not too crowded. plenty of tvs to watch sports or just catch up with friends. Very friendly bartender and all around solid vibes. Good for cocktails, beer, wine etc.

Yelp
Small, intimate neighborhood spot with regulars The bar is long, takes up half the space inside

Yelp
This place is pretty friggin great. So, walking in for the first time, I thought I recognized the place.....it used to be woodwork, explaining why the layout felt so familiar. It was also, completely filled with smoke from the tiny kitchen in the corner (more on this in a bit). Besides deja vu, and smokey eyes, this place also had a beer vendor handing out free beers, so I was of course a happy if blurry-eyed camper*. They still have plenty of TVs hanging above the bar, but instead of baseball or football, Hook was on...which not gonna lie, I was 100% cool with (#rufio). I ended up getting a smidge hungry so I ordered the sliders. @2 for9$ they don't sound super cheap, but sliders is almost the name word for these. They are really pretty substantial and are very good. We also had the mac n cheese, which wasn't bad but didn't hold a flame to the burgers. The drink selection is solid, as is the beer lineup, and the bartender was super chill. If you're looking for a solid spot to have a few beers at a reasonable price, and a small bite to eat, you could do far worse than Bilt. __________ *They ended up letting us have as many beers as we wanted on the vendors tab up until he paid, so it was kinda like an old-school Brooklyn yelp event.

Yelp
Happy Hour 4-7pm $8 House red/white, $2 off draft beers. Nice vibe, the playlist was on afro-beats (South Africa), noise was average people talking nice music and the bartender greeted me soon as I sat down.

Yelp
Stopped by because I had an hour to kill before an event at another local place. Arrived at 5:30 on a Wednesday and got a seat at the long bar. Bar almost filled by the time I left, though plenty of seats at other tables around the bar. Bar tender was super nice. Nice ambience. Seems like a perfect "local joint." Had a dirty martini, which was perfectly made. And a beer. All in all, solid local spot, as others have said.

Yelp
Went to Bilt Bar for the first time on 12/21/19 on a friend's recommendation. Gotta say it was a really good experience. The ambience is friendly, warm, unpretentious and has a real neighborhood feel. The selection of beers is varied and top-quality. The chef is a magician; there's no full kitchen or cook staff other than him. He quickly sends out excellent, tasty and good portions of hot food. My group of seven shared the Mac & cheese, sliders and chicken wings. Seasoning and flavor was top notch on all of them. A really enjoyable dining and imbibing experience!

Yelp
I love dive bars and I love fancy bars - Bilt Bar is neither of those things, but nonetheless a pleasant compromise in an other wise "fancified" neighborhood. The bartender was super nice and the clientele was diverse (something that is important to me generally). Good vibe, good happy hour and just a good time. I'll be back!

Yelp
Great place in the neighborhood to have a well drink and to catch up with locals. The bartenders are all really nice. I love it when I order elderflower and soda and there are rose petals on top. Perfect place if you want to watch a game.

Yelp
Bilt Bar has been renovated & the owner is cool. We went one late night where the bartender spun jams while making excellent drinks. The crowd is always diverse & fun! I love the wood & ambiance of the space. Besides knowing the folk who did the construction I can say it was revamped with great vibes. It is the neighborhood bar. Come thru & chill.

Yelp
I miss Woodwork, but Bilt Bar is cool too. Didn't have any food, but I definitely had a beer and shot combo. They still have TVs, so you can continue watching your sports, but it's definitely not a soccer bar anymore. I honestly can't put my finger on what they're going for. Just a regular old neighborhood bar, I guess. They don't have much of a web presence, and the most information I found was actually from the description of this Crowdspring logo contest they were running: https://www.crowdspring.com/logo-design/bilt-bar-fontlogo-design-2909582/ I guess the old Woodwork clientele wasn't sophisticated enough.

Yelp
I wandered into this place after an afternoon of meetings in the area. It was friendly and welcoming. However, when it got a little busier (but not busy) the service got very slow. The bartender was spending a lot of time on people who seemed to either be personal friends or regulars. This is normal of course, but I had a really hard time getting another drink or the check. I'd say, it's a great place to grab a cozy drink. But maybe best to become a regular or be a little more assertive than I naturally am.

Yelp
This is a great brand new watering hole in the neighborhood. They've just opened but when I went in for a quick happy hour nip I was greeted by a well appointed space and gracious service. Really excited this place.

Yelp
This place is nice and cozy. Awesome bartenders and staff. The owners are usually present which is a good thing. It really gives me the dean at cafe vibe which is awesome. Now they don't have a full kitchen but I be damned the chef is a magician because the little food that they turn out is awesome and 5 star taste. Give this place a try you can't wrong.

Yelp
Awesome bar with great people and great service. The Mac and cheese is the best and also try the peanut butter whiskey

Nancy B.

Yelp
Great bar, nice atmosphere. The people are very friendly. The staff were excellent and made us feel welcome. The bathrooms were great and clean.

Yelp
Great bar. Chill atmosphere, sports on the TVs but overall vibe is definitely neighborhood friendly. Had the Sofia drink it was excellent, light and not too sweet. Also got the Mac and cheese. Great flavor and good size portion. Will definitely be back. Corner location is great, loved the overall experience.

Yelp
Was wandering around looking for a place to celebrate my 50th birthday. Popped into Bilt Bar. Had a awesome time. Staff was pleasant and atmosphere was relaxing. Enjoyed the music and drink recommendations. Great place to celebrate my 50th birthday.

Ayanna J.

Yelp
I frequent Bilt about 1 - 2 times a week. The atmosphere is great. The place is welcoming, friendly (whether you are a regular or not) and unpretentious. The bartenders are great. Owners are there often...may be behind the bar making you a Gibson or chatting you up. The cocktails are on point. The best Gibson I've had in NYC, has been here. Great beer selection. The crowd is diverse. Music is diverse. Happy hour daily til 8pm. The chef works wonders without a full kitchen. The short rib sliders are to die for! Considering there isnt a full kitchen it would be great to have lite specials to add a little variety, while keeping staples like the mac and sliders. Stop in! Sure you will love TheBiltBar!
