Nice vibe, they share a kitchen with a great Italian restaurant next door so the food is delicious and definitely a couple of levels above your typical bar menu. The lighting is comfortably dim, candles add a romantic atmosphere, music is chill and stimulating at the same time. good selection of lounge tracks hand picked by the staff and is not so loud that you cant have a conversation.. playlist is hand picked by the bartender/dj. last but not least: amazing cocktails, very creative and some are truly unique, bartender Soso is an artist and I don't ever want to go drinking anywhere else. He deserves a Michelin star. My partner and I both highly recommend that you check this place out at least once - I guarantee you will become a regular.

The cocktails, food, service and ambiance were all fantastic! I feel like we found a new neighborhood gem! The mushroom flatbread was so delicious and I will be coming back for it specifically! I also love that they serve (real good) food late! The cocktails were inventive and delicious - I had a difficult time choosing just one!

The balance of taste of duck liver pate was on point 👍. Recommend it pairing with the good red wine.

Came here as an anniversary date and made it just the tail end of happy hour. It was perfect. For main we ordered shishito peppers, grilled chicken sandwich, short rib flat bread, siracha wings, and elote fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and portion was so reasonable. The service was lovely and the space is dark and perfect for the occasion. I highly recommend this little neighborhood bar.

We found this small bar on the corner and fell in love with it. We had fries, flat bread and shrimp, and all of them are amazing and delicious!! The waiter was super cool and helpful, and the space is just so cute and we love the atmosphere. Will be back if we are around here!

Honestly blown away by the cocktails, honestly some of the best I have had in the city. Very kind and accommodating for a large group with no notice. Really impressed.

This is a wonderful cocktail bar with fun and interesting named cocktails that look beautiful and taste amazing. The bartender that served me is basically an artist with the drinks. It's a small place (with outdoor seating!) and it's located on a quiet street just steps away from the Brooklyn Bridge Park and promenade. A perfect stop on a night out with friends or a cozy date. I didn't rate the food because I didn't eat anything, but if they're anything like the drinks, the food will be great too.

I know most people probably come here for the drinks, but the food was actually delicious. The peppercorn sauce on the steak frites was BEYOND. Would definitely come back for it. The Caesar broccolini was not what I expected, could probably use more sauce but it wasn't bad. The bar is very dimly lit and gets crowded so would recommend going on the earlier side to secure a seat since they don't take reservations and it is relatively small. Overall, nice neighborhood spot!

While walking around the neighborhood, we stopped by here for some drinks after dinner. The interior was dim-lit with a romantic atmosphere as many others were coupled up here as well. I liked that the AC was strong in here since it was a hot day out. We got our water right away, but ordering our drinks took awhile. After waiting 10 minutes and not getting any attention, we ended up ordering our drinks at the bar. As we were waiting for the drinks, a waiter finally came by and asked for our drink order --thanks for nothing. I ended up getting the Southwest Aurora ($18) and the boyfriend got the Oldest Fable ($18). Mine was too tart and his was too bitter. We ended up leaving after one drink since it wasn't in our favor. I also noticed the starters were almost as expensive as the entrees, so food was one the pricey side as well. Although a nice vibe for a romantic night, the service, price, and drinks did not appeal to me otherwise.

I've been coming to Brooklyn heights for years and have never had the pleasure of visiting The Binc. Tonight I finally stopped in and I am so glad I that I did. My cocktail was perfectly crafted and the bartender was amazing! He made me a second drink based off of the fact that I liked a vodka based drink that wasn't overly fruity. He hit the nail on the head and my drink was delicious! It's got this really cool vibe inside as well. I will definitely be back!

Came here for a drink with a friend during happy hour (Monday-Thursday 5-7PM) on a rainy afternoon. They have cocktails for $12. We sat down by the tabletop bar by the window despite some areas were leaking due to the rain. The cocktails are okay, tried the FIGURE OF SPEECH (a decent rye cocktail) and the GORDON'S BREAKFAST, which I actually liked more (it was a bit spicy as it had cholula hot sauce but still good) . I'd like to come back and try the food but the staff is a bit pushy ESPAÑOL Vine aquí con un amigo para una bebida durante la happy hour (Lunes-Jueves 5-7PM) en una tarde lluviosa. Tienen cocteles por $12. Nos sentamos en la mesa alta de la ventana aunque algunas zonas estaban goteando por la lluvia. Los cócteles están bien, probé el FIGURE OF SPEECH (coctel decente de rye) y el GORDON'S BREAKFAST, que me gustó más (estaba un poco picante por la salsa cholula pero aún así estaba rico). Me gustaría ir otro día a probar la comida pero el personal es un poco insistente

I have a thing for lush dark spaces, especially sipping glasses of bubbly in lush, dark spaces. Especially sipping glasses of bubbly in lush, dark spaces by a front window so that I may look out on the rainy winter evening in Brooklyn. How sweet it is at The Binc. I met a few friends here later in the evening on one such occasion and really enjoyed the environs and my glass of sparkles. The vibe is dark and intimate, as you may have gathered by now, and it wasn't super packed nor loud. I can see that this would also be perfect for a date night. I did not try the food but on my way to the (very nice) restrooms, I made a wrong turn into the adjoining restaurant and was super impressed by the decor. I'd definitely come back to check 'em out if there are vegan options.

We came as a party of four for happy hour on a Tuesday evening as it was one of our birthdays. The waiter was super nice but may have been overwhelmed by the number of customers and lack of any other help. So we were only able to get 2 happy hour drinks in from 5:40pm - 7pm. The happy hour cocktails had a great diverse selection and were only 12 dollars while the glasses of wines were 8. The interior was dimly lit and exuded romantic vibes, but given a semi-cool October evening, we opted to sit outdoors. We shared some apps. They were all pretty decent from the French fries, Sriracha wings, burrata to the shishito peppers. We shared the tasty crispy mushroom flatbread as well. When we got our bill split three ways since we were paying for the bday girl, one of us noted that gratuity was already included. The two of us didn't and had already written a 20-22 percent tip on top of the total. Who knew gratuity would be included for a party of four. Though the service was nice, it wasn't particularly fast and definitely not double tip worthy. Nothing is really worth a 40 percent tip no matter how amazing the service. So we had to correct our receipts. In summary, it was good vibes, good eats and good happy hour cocktail deals. Come if you're in the neighborhood. But look to see if tip was already included on the bill even if party size is fewer than six people.

We found this restaurant while exploring Brooklyn Heights. It was a beautiful night and we were able to sit outside. Normally I do not like the dining "sheds", but the street is quiet and it was a good experience. We ordered the Gnocci and a flat bread and they were both fantastic. There was a good draft beer selection and at $8 a pint it is on the lower end of pricing for NYC. The service was also good!

I came here with a friend for a late night drink and small meal, and it was super cozy. We were here late on a Saturday night, and it wasn't too loud or crowded. It was the perfect cozy atmosphere for a catch up drink with a friend or for a date. I got one of the specialty tomato cocktails (delicious), and my friend got one of the nonalcoholic drinks. I was also craving a burger, so I ordered the burger medium rare with a side of fries. The service was great because the server asked me if I wanted them to split the burger in half for us since we were sharing. It was great of him to offer without me asking! The burger was just okay, but the fries OMG. The first batch of fries that we got were so so good. They were perfectly mushy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The first batch we got were so good that we placed another side order, but the second batch didn't come out as great--they were less cooked than the first. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and would come back for the drinks and to try other food.

Ok, this place a nice gem in Brooklyn. The service is great, the bartender are good and the food is amazing. They craft up some of their specialty cocktails which I believe were awesome. A cute little spot to grab some cocktails. We came here after visiting the Brooklyn Bridge and it was a hidden gem. The inside was a cool old-school type vibe. It was nice and air-conditioned with a pretty open bar. The bathrooms had old-classic like doors. It was a really different type of ambiance. We got a few drinks that were really crisp and refreshing. It was a nice place to relax, have a high quality cocktail and enjoy company. The price-point wasn't bad either! I'd definitely visit this place again when in Brooklyn!

If I can give them a zero start, I would. They wouldn't even serve us. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and they just straight up said they wouldn't serve us. We were very excited about being there but were shot down by a waiter. Very disappointing

Oh 'em G -- this place is amazing!! The food and service is beyond spectacular. The ambiance is beautiful in a very speakeasy, 1920's meets today's urban flair kind of way. We sat at the bar, and to say the bartender was beyond knowledgeable is a huge understatement. Dylan was the best; super kind, full of energy and very charismatic. He's a gem! He expertly crafted us a few delicious custom-made drinks and took our specific tastes and allergies into consideration. We ordered the wings, shrimp and grits and the mushroom flatbread -- all were very delicious. Highly recommend this place for date night, girl's night out or evening out with friends, family or colleges. We'll definitely be back when in the Brooklyn area.

A perfect spot to grab some weekday cocktails! I've been to Bevacco a few times, but I'd never visited The Binc which is their cocktail bar attached. We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat outside around 5pm. We ordered a side of fries which were huge, crispy, and delicious. Basically everything you could ask for when ordering fries with cocktails. I got a delicious fruity cocktail over ice with strawberry purée and mint. I wish I could remember the name! It was very refreshing and something I'd definitely enjoy having again. Will make sure to come back fro happy hour!

Went here on a whim one night on a date for drinks and was blown away. The bartender was so friendly and passionate about the cocktails, which were amazing (and strong)! The vibe was cozy and fun. Can't wait to come here again.

We came here on a Sunday before a holiday Monday. The vibe was perfect: low lights, music not too loud, and nice decor. Service was slow, but it was packed and our bartender was super attentive. We had some great cocktails and delicious wings/fries. We loved and will 100% be back.

when you walk into Binc, you might write it off as a cozy cocktail bar, which it is, HOWEVER don't sleep on the food! dang, we were blown away by how good the food was! when you walk in, you kinda seat yourself and a server will come with the small leather bound drinks and dinner menu. service was surprisingly fast though they didn't course out the apps and the entrees, it worked out for us cause we were actually in a bit of a rush to catch a show after dinner. we were in and out within an hour! i can't speak on the drinks bc i don't drink but my bf who loves a well-crafted cocktail said, "that's delightful" after his first drink. he got the night school! the names on the mixed drinks were cute too! we've been meaning to try this spot as it's one of top rated results that come up when you search "burger," and my bf and I are always looking for a good burger. prior to binc, we had deemed Cafe Paulette in fort greene as the spot w the best burgie in the area but Binc's burg ties with Cafe Paulette's! the only downside i will say is that the fries are an additional charge - which we will gladly pay - and CP's fries are slightly better. we also got the shrimp and grits and the brussel sprouts as apps and they were both super flavorful and delicious! the steak and frites also caught my eye and i want to try that next time but i have a feeling i might switch to the burger the last minute. we will def be back!

What an amazing bar. I go to the Presbyterian church right on Henry Street and decided to go get a drink with my wife and her friend. The atmosphere was extremely romantic: it was dimly lit, they played ow chill music, and there were candles everywhere. You can tell drinks are their speciality due to all the labeled liquids positioned at the bar: olive, cinnamon, mango, pepper and many more. You would assume every bar specialized in making drinks, but this one proved me wrong. Despite a small menu, they have great food to offer. We ordered the Elote Fries, which were enough for all 3 of us to share... twice! They were that good, seasoned perfectly! The bartenders (white gentlemen with a bun and beard, and another with shorter hair and a beard) were amazing. They remembered my drink of choice, were very attentive and definitely skilled at what they do. The bathrooms are for any gender, which was a huge plus. There are fully functioning toilets in each stall meaning it is accessible for all genders. The Binc is beautiful, clean and just an amazing spot to grab a drink after work. I came from a long day of being out, and needed a place to wind down and relax and I'm glad my wife chose this one. Definitely adding this to my list of Trans & Queer friendly spaces.

Inviting, intimate, and interesting, The Binc is a small but mighty neighborhood speakeasy with food on par with an exceptional drinks menu. My girlfriend and I visited after exploring DUMBO, and I recommend the walk up the hill to find this place. The food was delicious. We shared the Shishito Peppers, which were cooked to perfection, Elote Fries, and Sriracha Wings. The wings were probably my favorite, but I'd try everything on the menu based on this start. Among the drinks we tried was the &&&&& and Peaches en Regalia. Both were complex and well-rounded served by a fabulous bartender. This spot was probably the dinner highlight of our NYC trip. Highly recommend.

Such a great little spot! The cocktails are pretty phenomenal and the steak frites came with this amazing dipping juice. I normally prefer my steak plain, but dipped every bite because it was so good. (Steak was good enough to not need it though.) Service was quick and my server very polite.

Found this cute, hidden gem on Yelp after leaving a "hot" chicken joint that lets just say would not make Nashville proud. Moving On... bartender; ok at first, cooler towards the end...we're not drinking these days anyway. Marinated olives , Sriracha Chicken Wings , Steak Frites Medium..... Get there early or real late...this quaint hot spot has limited seating...cool kids only of course.

The drinks were great! The alcohol on the left was medium strength, the alcohol in the middle was light strength, and the alcohol on the right was heavy strength. But the restroom door was unintuitive and hard to open. So 4.9 stars out of 5.

The Binc is a hidden gem in Brooklyn Heights! First of all...the steak frites are amazing. Great dish for a great price and IMO, easily the best thing on the menu. Always comes out hot and fresh. I've been to the bar 8+ times now and it's been served perfectly every time. The happy hour menu has great, simple drink options that are perfect for a quick hang after work, and the staff is super sweet -- I keep coming back because of them. Have had great interactions with Mus, Abdul, Liz, and Alfie especially. Very friendly, knowledgeable, relaxed, and attentive. The vibe, the music, the drinks, and the staff make the space incredibly warm / inviting despite the scary portraits of old men on the walls, to be blunt. To whoever's managing: there's one lightbulb I keep getting sat in front of that's longer than the rest on the back bar, on the right side. It's been like that for the last six months or so. Hm. Also, that's a lot of cheater bottles on the bar. Seems like things could be more efficient on the back end (from someone who's worked in the industry for a long time) -- but otherwise, a great spot.

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate his bday here after catching a show close by. The ambience is dark and romantic. There were a bunch of other couples there as well. We sat at the bar initially after the bartender signaled us over upon entering The Binc. Wednesday night. there was only the bartender and a sever (that's IT!). We spoke with the bartender about: 1. Being seated at a table and 2. Closing the second door as it was freezing that night. He assured us he got it. Next thing you know they are setting us up for dinner at the bar. So I asked is our table ready pointing at the only available table behind us. They said yes and we seated ourself at the available table. Bad news! The table was NOT cleaned yet. The server who was also acting as the bust boy came to clean the table (thank you!). I asked him to clean the seats as well as there was food all over it. Next I asked the server to close the door which he did promptly (thank you again). Not sure why the bartender acknowledged us at the beginning only to not follow through on the two items we asked him: Table seating and to close the door. Now to the food. Skip the Brussels Sprouts. You can create that tasteless concoction on your own. Instead I ate my bf's food which was the steak and truffle fries. It was okay, but my bf really liked the quality of the meat . Drinks were really good. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. At least the bartending was on point (good) . I just wasn't impressed with the quality of service which seems to be a running theme during time of COVID. Damn you covid! At the same time when will we stop blaming covid and understand that quality of service is everything. The Brussels Sprouts could be tasteless af, but if the service was on point this review would have gotten a 4. My bf was also annoyed by the service although he raved about his food.

My new favorite place. The HH red is a pinotage, a South African grape rarely featured at most restaurants. The place is relaxed, with dim lighting. I find that most patrons are chill and there is a fast turnover at the bar so even if it's crowded it's not overwhelming. The food is not why you come here. Brussel sprouts were just passable. The pepperoni flatbread was respectable.

This place is nice. It's dimly lit. Very warm and inviting literally. You might break a sweat. They have a few tables and a long bar. They're happy hour is pretty damn good. I had the build-your-own charcuterie. That's not what it's called! I decided that's pretty much what it is. You choose whatever cheese and meat you want and it automatically comes with certain accompaniments. I was there relaxing and chatting with friends. There no rush. The staff is friendly and it got busy. When we left someone was ready to scoop up our table. The train station at Clark Street is nearby. And its also walking distance from Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Time Out Market.

Great food, wonderful drinks, and fun vibe. Excellent service. We will definitely be back.

If you are a person of color this is not the place for you. My friends and I walked in for a girls night happy hour and had multiple waiters look us up and down and then continue to ignore us. One of the waiters went to the bartender, whispered something to him, and then the bartender also stared at us. We happened to be the only brown people there. We then got told there may not be any seats available for us, even though half the space was empty, and to wait for another waiter to to let us know if there's space. They then continued to ignore us until we eventually just left because of how uncomfortable they made us feel :(

Really great bar with a good amount of indoor/outdoor seating. The stuffed artichokes wrapped in bacon were quite delish, but I'd say the shishito peppers were nothing to write home about. But the drink menu - worth writing home for. A good selection of cocktails, pretty good selection of beer, and a strong selection of wine with some pretty unique/sustainable/organic/socially-conscious wines (i.e. $1 of this glass goes to goes to breast cancer aid and research, or one from "Brown Estate Vineyards, which is the first and only black-owned estate winery in Napa Valley"). I would definitely come back, good vibes all around and plenty to try for drink/food.

Came with two other people on a weeknight and got a table right away. I had the There will be blood to drink, and shared the Shishito peppers, Grilled octopus, Duck confit tostadas and Parmesan garlic fries. The duck was cold (not sure if it was supposed to be) so that was a little off-putting, but everything else was delicious. I loved my drink (I'm a sucker for anything with blood orange) and out of the food, the fries were my favorite.

The drinks here are creative, sensational and delicious! The food matches the quality of the food as well! However the mixologists here take care of their drinks whether happy hour specials or not - they take pride in their creations which absolutely shows and is appreciated! I say get all the drinks and pad your stomach with a delicious burger! I am not a fan of the restaurants along the street so if you can find a table - I'd do drinks and dinner here! They wont disappoint you! I promise!

Small and cozy place with interesting cocktails!! We literally ordered all their cocktails.. My favorite was Pacific Crest Trail which was jalapeño infused tequila drink and Fiona apple which is a bourbon based drink. Their Midnight oil drink was quite interesting.. it actually had Wasabi and Ginger!!! Can you believe that!!! We also ordered their garlic fries which was yummy!! Its a small place so can get quite full..however we were 10 people on a Saturday evening and got ample seats to sit.

Fun cocktail bar with pretty good happy hour deals. $8 basic cocktails until 7:30 and $4 Gansett bottles (didn't even know that was a thing). The Manhattan was great and strong. The Vodka Southside was simple but delicious. Our bartender Nicole was awesome. They share a bathroom with Bevacco and there are only two, so if it's busy, it might be a bit of a wait. Also the last Tuesday of the month is Tiki Tuesday!

This spot is PERFECT for date night. Low lighting, music is at a low volume, booths & bar seating. All around divine. I had the Raspberry Road. It was perfection. My companion found a really delicious mezcal-based drink. They have a lot of beer and wine offerings. All the drinks were tasty and they were served in fun glasses with pretty garnishes. Employees were attentive without being overbearing and seemed like they were always up for a good conversation or an encouraging word in regards to the menu. Drinks on the menu were $14. Allowing the bartender to make you a surprise drink (you choose the liquor and then let them go to town) runs $15. They may also have small plates? This place is the jam. Good drinks, great service, AND it's steps away from the A/C train so you don't have to stumble home very far. Check it out!

Four stars on the food and five stars on the ambience and drinks here - the epitome of a sweet, intimate and cool spot to come for a date or hangout with a friend that you know will be filled with juicy relationship details and life ponderings. Had a crispy Peroni at the marble bar and we split the sriracha wings, fries with garlic and Parmesan, and quinoa-asparagus bowl. All were very good - not groundbreaking but great compliments to feeling tipsy. The wings were the standout and tasted like sesame chicken at a Chinese restaurant which was satisfying with my beer! I'm not dying to go back but I'd definitely come back for a last-min get together.

First time back in a LONG time and this place still delivers. I was here on 10/1/21 and they are very open despite what Yelp says. I just had a cocktail, but it was well balanced and service was friendly. I plan to return soon for dinner (and more cocktails) and will update then.

Came here on a Friday night and they had few drinks on their happy hour menu ($8 drinks) so I got a Manhattan, which was made well. For food, we got the sirarcha hot wings, they were really good and not spicy like they sound. Overall, they were flavored well. We also got the mac and cheese, which was good but nothing extra ordinary. The place is small and cozy, I loved it! Our server was friendly and quick. Definitely recommend this place for some drinks and tapas/small plates.

I stopped in for drinks on Halloween and had a great time. They had decorated the whole bar and it had a spooky vibe. I tried a few cocktails off their special menu and really enjoyed them. Nicole the bartender was super helpful in describing the drinks. One of them was a take on a Trinidad sour which I didn't know existed, but using some pumpkin related ingredient. It was one of the most interesting drinks I've ever had and absolutely delicious. I also got the chance to try some of the food. I ordered a burger, medium rare, which came out perfectly cooked and delicious. I got about half way through until my girlfriend arrived and gobbled up the rest, remarking on how good it was. We also went with the meat and cheese plate which we liked. I would 100% recommend asking for extra bread because you're going to need it. It was pretty dark so I couldn't tell exactly what the cheese were but there was a salty probably Italian cheese, a milder cheese, and something what was definitely goat or sheep's milk based. The meats looked like some sopresta and maybe speck or prosciutto. Overall a solid meat and cheese plate for $21. I'll definitely be back here in the future. From the other reviews it sounds like I need to make sure to hip up happy hour, $8 for a cocktail here is a bargain.
