This was one of those very special dining experiences that we'll talk about for quite some time. The food was absolutely extraordinary. Our server was really wonderful and took great care of us. The atmosphere was great. We tried many of the different foods and then shared dessert and it was absolutely perfect I had the braised bison short rib and keep remembering how good it taste it. I had the cucumber salad but forgot to take a picture of it, it was really really wonderful. Six out of five stars would highly recommend

Google
This is THE best meal we’ve had in Banff! (We’ve tried farm and fire, fat ox, brazen etc..) We tried the spring set menu and it was $39 for 3 course menu (generous portions!). The highlight of our meal is probably Steven - our server. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our food and gave the best recommendations. He recommended a great local IPA and offered a taster to make sure it’s something we like. We had the cucumber salad, Denver steak, cod, bison tartare, chocolate budino and broccoli. Everything was very enjoyable but my favourites were the broccoli! A MUST visit in Banff.

We were looking for something special to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed, the food, the service and the atmosphere was brilliant. I wanted to take the chef home the food was so amazing 🤩 lovely waitress and excellent service. To top it off we ate from the spring set menu, which was outstanding value. Highly recommend. Thank you for making our evening special. Phil and Tina x

Google
One of the best places in Banff to enjoy a truly memorable Bison steak. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of rich flavor. I’m still thinking about it and craving more. Their cocktails were just as impressive and refreshing. The view was absolutely perfect with stunning mountains in the background that added so much to the overall experience. If you’re in Banff and appreciate a great meal, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Google
We spent over a week in Canada and this was the best meal we had. For starters we had the shrimp lettuce cups, roasted cauliflower, and escargot. All of them were amazing! For mains we had the duck and bison short rib which also blew us away. If I were to nitpick, the cocktails comparatively weren’t as good as the food, but we loved the food so much it didn’t really matter.

Google
Came here for my boyfriends birthday and it was really good. The food was amazing. The server seemed a little bit off but she may have just been having a day. But the ambience was great, food was great. A bit pricey for people on a tighter budget but you're paying for quality.

Google
We were looking for something special to start off our honeymoon. We came across their spring 3 course special which was an excellent meal for the price. The food was all excellent (besides the chocolate dessert- this was very tart). For a restaurant of this scale - we expected higher level service. We ran out of water as well as were initially told that we could substitute our wine for the wine tasting then were only given one option. We felt rushed. Also - we made sure to put our special occasion in the reservation and this was not mentioned.

Google
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for our celebration. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. What truly made the night special was our incredible server. They were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration memorable. Their kindness and enthusiasm added a personal touch that made all the difference. If you're looking for a place with fantastic food, a great ambiance, and top-notch service, this is it! We can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Let just say this experience was phenomenal. Their accolades are well deserved as the food is amazing, drinks tastes great, and they have the amazing view of the Canadian Rockies. It's on the pricy side, but I guarantee you it's worth the splurge, especially since you're on vacation right?!? I tried their Maple Old Fashioned ($19 CAD). Made with park maple rye, lot 40 rye, black walnut bitters. Seems like the Canadians really do like their flavored maple everything. We started off with the Cucumber Herb Salad ($19 CAD), which consist of baby cucumbers, tahini, miso, and herbs. A refreshing dish to balance out all of the meat dishes. For appetizer, we got the Escargot ($26 CAD) comes without the shell, so makes eating this a lot easier. It's soaked in bone marrow, which gives it a unique flavor compared to typical butter. It comes with mushrooms, gruyère cheese on top, and sourdough. For entrees, we ordered the Wood Fired Duck ($49 CAD). Very well prepared with crispy fat rice, carnitas, thai curry sauce, eggplant, peppers. The main star of the show was of course the Alberta Bison Tomahawk ($199 CAD). This comes with chef's selection of garnishes. Needless to say, this was devoured.

Yelp
Loved the energy and open kitchen, but I felt the food and some aspect of the service was lacking since the restaurant says they're fine dining and proud to be farm to table. Out of the three dishes we ordered, I liked the escargot the best. The shell was already removed and was cooked nicely with the rest of the ingredients. At first I did like the fried garlic on top of the dish, but the gnocci also had fried garlic on top which I felt made the dishes lazy. You can't go wrong with fried garlic and it makes me wonder how many other dishes are topped the same. The gnocci had inconsistent texture, some being chewy and others pillowy soft. The duck dish was delicious. It had duck breast and some shredded crispy duck leg. With a bit of everything, the eggplant, duck, crispy rice, and broth, it made for the perfect bite. Our waitress was friendly and was well versed on the menu and specials. The staff was attentive, stopping by to ask how we are and filling up our cups, but when food was delivered to our table I was expecting them to describe the dishes and where the ingredients come from. For the escargot, the staff did a bit by saying what's in the dish but nothing for the mains. I understand they have a map on the first page of the menu that says where they get their ingredients but it would be nice to connect it with the orders in front of us.

Yelp
One of my favorite stops in Banff. Went for the live music on the rooftop on Thursday. Food was delicious and our server was really knowledgeable and attentive. The views and surroundings are serene. Only got to to try drinks and apps, but would definitely return for dinner.

Yelp
Good place to visit for dinner in the area! Pricey but worth it. Service was friendly and timely. Beautiful bar area as well; we were seated near it. 1. Crudo - Fresh, delicious, tangerine made it citrus 2. Burger - Tender and juicy, good portion as well 3. Striploin - Not the best steak I've had but was delicious nonetheless. Comes with veggies. Overall, a solid restaurant to visit for dinner in the area.

Yelp
Delicious food, probably the best we've had in Banff! Quite pricey, but definitely worth it. We were seated outdoors and it was perfect with the fireplace next to us. We got the bison tomahawk, and it was so worth it even though it was very pricey (199). It came with 3 sides with tomatoes, chimmichurri and veggies. Portion sizes are big though, so we split a couple entrees and apps between us. We also got the duck and a couple starters (tomatoes and octopus), as well as the dessert. Everything was delicious -- would definitely recommend coming!

Yelp
Came here with a reservation, and were seated immediately. The waiter was friendly and attentive and handed our waters and menus. We were also seated by the window so we could look out at the beautiful scenery and the bustle below. The food was beautifully prepared, and each tasted divine. My favorite was the burrata and tomato salad. The tomatoes were so refreshing and juicy! My partner loved the duck dish- wasn't too overpowering and seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend if you're in Banff looking for an upscale dining experience!

Yelp
This is a cool little spot with a rooftop bar. The drink I had was very nice with a clean finish and good flavor. I really liked how everything is sourced from the local area. We tried the bison short rib which was wonderful - sleeper hit where the mashed potatoes which were silky smooth. We also had the octopus appetizer which was delicious. They added some lamb to it making it special. The corn pancake wasn't that great... Definitely could've passed on that. We didn't try any desserts so can't speak on those. Our servers were friendly and we were impressed by the check-in process . There is a host on the main floor who helps move things along and then another one at the top who seated us once our table was cleared.

Yelp
By far the best restaurant we had in our entire Banff trip. We wish we lived closer so we could go back sooner. The service was top notch, decor is very warm and inviting, and the food...stellar. Everything we ate was beyond our expectations. Every dish was a flavor bomb and cooked to perfection. We had the octopus, broccoli, and the tomahawk shared plate. We were so appreciative to have such a great dining experience when many other restaurants fell short. We cannot stop thinking about how much we loved The Bison. Standing ovation to the staff and especially the chef!

Yelp
Walked in on a Thursday night, fully booked night but managed to snag a spot from a cancellation. Really nice ambience, pretty fancy and perfect for a date night. The bucatini pasta was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their dishes, fresh and tender. I wish the mushroom stroganoff was a little more flavorful, felt like it was missing something. The service was great, our server was attentive and checked on us frequently, got all the dishes correctly and had an amazing time here! Would recommend checking out The Bison Restaurant in Banff!

Yelp
One of my top go to restaurants in banff! If you can only go to one place in banff. I would go here. I've been coming to this place since it opened years ago and I'm a fan. So is the rest of Canada! It's rated one of the top restaurants in the world (top 50). I love the rooftop patio for beautiful views of Banff! They book up pretty fast so make a reservation at least a day in advance. I use OpenTable personally bc of how easy it is. I love the bison Ragu pasta dish. It changes seasonally and the cream based version is my favourite. Service and ambience is impeccable. And I love the live music on weekends! The food featured on menu are canadian classics with a albertan twist with fresh from farm ingredients! So good and every thing never disappoints. It is pricey though. But treat yo self!

Yelp
AMAZING. We didn't order too many dishes because knew the bison tomahawk ($195) would have plenty of food for the two of us. Everything about it was perfect from the way it was cooked to the accompanying sides/chimichurri sauce. The bison bolognese was delicious too. My boyfriend loves bison caesar cocktails and said the one from here was his favorite by far. Definitely must dine here if visiting Banff!

Yelp
A culinary experience! Our second visit in a four day span. Yes, that phenomenal!! First visit we had the pleasure is being served by the resident bartender from Ottowa. And our second visit we were guided and and served by their resident sommelier, who was outstanding. First visit we ordered the jalapeño pancake and heirloom tomatoes salad as apps and our main dish the Bison braised short ribs on a yucca puree. You can taste without a doubt the local sourcing for pretty much in all their ingredients. Seasoned to perfection and very expertly balanced. Wine selection, is varied and thoughtfully put together. Our second visit I decided to document our journey pictorially ... cucumber salad outstanding and the Bison tartar app beyond words. Chicken and the cheeseburger brought elevated gourmet to another level. All within a laid back yet refined mountain view atmosphere. A must try in Banff!

Yelp
Bison tomahawk was amazing, first time found one in a restaurant, would be very disappointed if didn't order this dish , just could not be better, wanted to eat one more time at the day we were leaving, but the restaurant was closed due to event; the bison short rib is good as well, but don't feel much difference from what I found in other places, the duck was very good, generally, you won't go wrong if you order a duck dish in a restaurant, but the quality and taste in this place is outstanding. Overall, very good experience, not surprised that this restaurant is rated within top 10 in Canada
google avatar

Yelp
Solid high end ski town restaurant. In terms of service (speed and quality), composition of the menu, and the food we ate, we found that the Bison was head and shoulders above Maple Leaf and was comparable to Chuck's. For the price at the current exchange rate, this restaurant is up there as one of the best deals in town. Be warned that the menu is actually quite limited. My group of five, with one person who eats like a bird and two people who eat like actual bison, easily worked through the entirety of the menu, with maybe 2 dishes excluded based on preference.

Yelp
We intentionally visited THE BISON RESTAURANT to try out their BISON. I read somewhere that they prepare it very well. The restaurant is located in the middle of town with plenty of street parking. We had reservations which was a good thing because this restaurant looks like it's very popular. And no wonder.... The second floor dining area is warm and cozy. And not cozy in a cramped way, but in a I-feel-like-I'm-in-a-cabin-with-a-fireplace-raging type of cozy. Complete with an awesome view of the Rockies. The TOMAHAWK BISON is giant, big enough to share amongst 3 people, and was prepared very well. The POTATO COQUETTES are delicious. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The BROCCOLINI was seasoned well. The HARRISA SQUASH WITH FETA is creative and tasty. The CANADIAN BEEF WITH DUMPLINGS were delicious. Our server is super friendly.

Yelp
So grateful my love surprised me and took me here for date night. He did GOOD. This place is a must try if you are looking for a great dining experience while in Banff. Our server was awesome, down to earth, and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu including the wine. She picked out great wines for us and even let us taste a few before we decided. I got the bison short rib over potatoes with Gouda cream and it my mouth is water while I write this. The short rib was so tender and just broke a part when I put a fork in it. We also got the octopus app and the beet salad. Both were so great to start! My boyfriend got the duck with fat fried rice and eggplant. He was obsessed with it! Drinks we ordered were solid, but not mind blowing. Wines, like I mentioned were so good! I had the Syrah and he had the Chardonnay. This place was such a vibe and I love that's it's farm to table. Can't wait to come back and see what's on the menu!

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Excellent service, food was very good. Reservations HIGHLY needed! We had: olives, ricotta toast, Burrata, bison short ribs and gnocchi. Ricotta toast was delicious. All was good; bison Demi-glacé was rich and excellent.
google avatar

Troy R.

Yelp
The Bison did not disappoint. My wife and I had an amazing night out. The service, food and ambience is spot on. Form the burrata, to the salmon and then tomahawk steak each one was prepared perfectly. Thanks to the kitchen and from of house staff for making it a special night.
google avatar

Yelp
I really enjoyed my time here. I didn't like my drink-- it tasted a little like an air freshener. It was one of their special drinks... but all their food was definitely fresh and farm to table. I loved the live music that was going on. Service was standard. No complaints. Would be back :)

Nycolette N.

Yelp
Everything about this place I would highly recommend. The service was incredible, food was delicious and perfectly seasoned and prepared, and the ambiance was perfect. Would highly recommend for any diners in Banff. We plan to come back to visit and will definitely be back!

Yelp
ONE OF THE WORSE BISON I HAVE EVER TASTED. I don't remember the exact price but I remember it being around $200. I literally could not feel my head after chewing a piece of this. My brain was about to explode from the amount of chews I had to take in order to swallow that one piece of meat
google avatar

Kim J.

Yelp
We had an amazing meal here. The appetizers and main courses were both delicious and the service was friendly.
google avatar

Janzel M.

Yelp
This was the one place my husband had as his MUST on a trip to Banff. Love the restaurant, staff and vibes. It's definitely a nice and upscale spot. We enjoyed our meal! We're more beef steak people so I found this a little lean but enjoyed it regardless. It will be pricey! So keep that in mind.
google avatar

Mira D.

Yelp
Omg this was quite possibly the best stroganoff I have ever had.... And it was vegan and gluten free. WHAT?!?!?!? You could tell that the mushrooms were super fresh straight from the ground and not canned or frozen. The wild rice was so good and paired well with tiny crunchy pieces of seeds and some sort of barley. The service here is a little slow, but I think they may have just been really busy. We also got amazing seats which have us a great view of the mountains. They have an outdoor patio which is also a nice option if it's not cold. Do they have more than one entree that is vegetarian? No. But I still wouldn't let that deter you because the one entree they had was so good!
google avatar

Sheila K.

Yelp
We made a reservation for dinner and came a little earlier but we still had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. We had the southern fried maitakes, mushroom pasta, and bison ribeye. It's quite a small menu, not too many options. Be prepared to spend $20+ for appetizers and $60 for entrees that aren't very filling. The southern fried maitakes was just fried mushrooms with spicy sauce, nothing all too fancy about it. The mushroom pasta was salty but had a generous amount of mushrooms. I liked the thickness of noodles but it was a bit hard for me. The Bison ribeye was good, it was both our first time trying it. It tastes very similar to beef and I found the meat to be chewy. I liked the cauliflower puree and carrots since it was soft. Service sucked though. They took them 20 minutes to take our order and they forgot about our ribeye so it came 45 minutes after my dish came. Our server also took ages to give us our check after we've asked for it 3 times. He also kept asking us what we were celebrating and I don't know how many times we told him our honeymoon and he said he'd get us a treat but didn't lol. We didn't bother asking 'cause at that point, we've been there for over 2 hours waiting lol
google avatar

Yelp
High class food! No dress code which was a huge help, we had packed for all outdoors and hiking not considering we would go out for a nice dinner. The service was fantastic, we made reservations the day before and still got a spot, but it was the beginning of "season" so try to get a reservation as soon as you can! Drinks are superb, food is to die for. Tomato salad and the striploin were favorites!
google avatar

Michael O.

Yelp
We walked in and were able to get a table for my girlfriend's birthday. Everything was fantastic, drinks, ambiance and staff were all amazing. Highly recommend

Yelp
I loved the ambiance here - modern yet cozy and very very lively. My friend and I shared the bison caesar and the bison ragu + gnocchi. Ohhh my gosh, the gnocchi was soft and smooth, with a delightful melt in my mouth chew to them - almost like rice cakes! I loved the braised bison and cheese curds that came with it - absolutely delectable! We both got the mushroom pasta, which was on the saltier side. I tend to eat salty and thought it was generally good though!
google avatar

Yelp
The Bison, voted one of the top 10 restaurants in Banff, was solid, almost 4 Stars. Once you arrive & are escorted upstairs to the beautiful open kitchen & dining space, your food adventure begins. Get the party started with delish & creative cocktails, we enjoyed the refreshing "Sunshine meadow"a riff on a Paloma with tequila & well developed citrus undertones. For starters we ordered a crunchy little gem lettuce Caesar salad drenched in dressing & cheese & crowned with a mound of addictively crispy bacon curls & whole anchovies. Now for the meat fest.... We had the wonderful Lamb sirloin atop a fab ragout of peas, chickpeas , cheese & mint ( so good I could have had just the ragout as an entree) . Our second entree was the bison bolognese & sadly it fell short of the mark. It was rather lifeless & boring. The thick, maybe too Al dente, buccatini pasta to sauce ratio was off ( not enough bolognese for that dense pasta ) & it tasted like it needed more salt & cheese. I asked for a bit more cheese ( like 1 TBLSP) & discovered they charged an additional $2 on the final bill, wow, really? In my opinion, the menu is small & could have a few different options for ex. ( how about some elk or venison)? Some more interesting desserts? We ordered a couple of BC wines by the glass from a limited offering. Its too bad most of the wines are sold by the bottle only. Overall, the ambience & service were nice, but somehow I just expected a little bit more.

Jen Y.

Yelp
The location is right in the middle of town, but it took us some effort to locate it, the restaurant sign could be more prominent. The staffs are friendly and great. We love the new chic ambience. We ordered the Bison Mohawk, the price is reasonable but the meat is tough and chewy for a Mohawk steak, it can be better.

Yelp
My sister wanted to check out The Bison Restaurant for some early birthday celebrations. They're part of the Banff Hospitality Collective group. We dropped in on a Monday evening (with 7:30pm reservations). Service was friendly and accommodating with our parties dietary restrictions. Appreciate that they're upfront about the 18% gratuity tip for large groups. - Sunshine meadow ($18.50 2oz) - Roasted broccoli ($17.00) - nice char to the broccoli but such a minuscule portion. - Yellowtail crudo ($25.00) - yellowtail was fresh but heavy on the chili oil. Didn't let the fish shine. - Fire roasted octopus ($29.00) - everyone's favourite of the appetizer. Octopus was cooked perfectly. - Beef tartare ($27.00) - came with thinly sliced chips. Tartare was good but salty. - Bison short rib ($49.00) - roasted cauliflower underneath was tasty but wanted more. Short rib was somewhat succulent. Potatoes were creamy. - Pan seared Atlantic cod ($44.00) - cod was okay, but not worth the price point. Gai lan was an interesting choice. - Alberta bison tomahawk ($185.00 for 30oz) - menu says serves 2, but closer to 3 people. Excellently cooked to a medium rare. Bison wasn't gamey, mushroom jus was tasty. - 12oz Alberta beef striploin ($59.00) - O didn't love it. Said the bison tomahawk was significantly better. Decent food at TBR but that's about it.

Yelp
This beet salad is perfection. Re-creation would be difficult. Earthy, herbaceous, crisp. Smashing success of a combination ended with a delightfully rich crunch of pistachio. Don't miss this one! Bison served is tendered to assure you a flavor to supersede lite cuts of beef. Wife and I crushed the locally sourced bison tomahawk, served aside a porcini demiglace. This fine dining escape serves many walks, but for those needing a bloody rich experience are in for local discovery! I will not remove a star, but the smallest comment would request sharper steak knives. This should not deter anyone!!!

Yelp
It was my first time visiting Canada and Banff and what a great spot to grab dinner. The drinks were delicious. We got the octopus, and a very tender bison short rib and beef dish. They knocked it out of the park. I highly recommend to anyone visiting. Service was very good and the atmosphere was very cool.

Emily S.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere! Very well done plates. Very happy we made it here. The server was very attentive. Can't wait to visit again. Must try. Bision, crudo, chips and dip.

Lindsey K.

Yelp
Banff was cooler here in late September. Despite the cooler temps I didn't realize I needed a refreshing Kiwi cocktail. Summer was behind the bar and she was as enjoyable as her season. Skip the Hamachi Crudo app. We shared the Duck for a main yum

Chad S.

Yelp
Exceptional meal with family. Among us we had the bison burger, bison short ribs, and two of us split the signature tomahawk. Great wine selection. They had a nice treat available wuth a side of morel mush. Yum!

Yelp
The wait staff was great! The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. This will be a go to spot for me every time I visit Banff!

Tim B.

Yelp
Food: best restuarant food I've had in a while. I had the bison shortribs, wife had the duck. Both were amazingly delicious, that would be a 5 out of 5. Service: we sat at the bar and the bartenders were laser focused on our dish progress status at all times. I like to ask a lot of questions and our wait staff/bartenders were happy to answer my questions with a smile, not frazzled and annoyed with middle-aged curiousity about backgrounds and other trivial stuff. Ambiance: Not too crowded, bar patrons were upscale and nice to chat with, backgroudn music was progressive, all good. Overall, a really great evening and well worth the dinero!
google avatar

Sally L.

Yelp
Great food here! I made a reservation weeks prior to my arrival in the Banff area. Good thing I did, cause there was super long wait times for people who tried to do a walk in to the restaurant - approx 1.5-2 hours. I absolutely loved the vibe of the restaurant and the customer service and the food! Food was fantastic and tasted really good. We ordered the 3 bison platter- AMAZING. It's a open concept kitchen as well, so you're able to see the chef putting their hard work on each order. This is a highly recommended restaurant to visit if you're in the Banff area!
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
One of the best Caesar salads I have ever had! They put pickled anchovies on top of the salad which may not be everyone's preference but added a delicious authentic edge to the dish. The bison bolognese was also delicious with pasta cooked al dente. The bison short rib was a bit on the tougher side but that is just the nature of bison meat, but just be aware. Excellent friendly service and really lovely ambience. A must visit for a slightly more upscale dinner in Banff!

Yelp
Bison ribeye Scallops Beef carpaccio ...got many things on the menu Good, but pricey.

Yelp
The bison steak was soo good. Loved the mashed potato and cauliflower sides. Ambience was amazing and servers were professional and chic.

Yelp
It was our first dinner in Banff, and it was my sister's birthday, so we decided to find a nice restaurant. Before coming to Banff, we had already searched the most recommended restaurant, and The Bison Restaurant was one of them, so we made sure we made a reservation which is a must as the place is indeed fully booked. We saw some walk-ins turned away or have to wait hours to be seated. As soon as we entered, I was already in awe of the ambiance and stunning vibes the place had; Chelsea, our server, greeted us, which was adequately very helpful in recommending dishes from the main, desserts, wine and even activities to do around Banff since it was our first time to be there. We had; Bison Trio (129) - this was scrumptious, perfectly cooked, all the flavours were a savoury and perfect combination. Fired Carrots ($18)- it is the most expensive carrots that I have ever had, but it was as well the most delicious carrot that I have ever tasted; we were amazed how that carrot turned out so good. Chocolate cake ($10) Panna Cotta ($10) Sorbet ($10) - all their desserts were delectable, pretty plated, flavoursome yet not that sweet; the sorbet comes in different flavours depending on what's in season. Gray Monk Rose ($60) - a perfect drink for the night, smooth, fruity smell and had a hint of lively and fresh sweetness. Overall, this restaurant deserves five out of five stars for its fantastic service, well-detailed dishes and stunning atmosphere.

Yelp
Hidden off famed Banff Street is a wonderful restaurant that meets all your fine and casual dining needs. The scallop and pork belly app was to die for, followed up with a buffalo ribeye my wife and I split capped off with a great Canadian Cab... yes you read right.. a great Canadian Cab! This is our new Banff addiction, great service too!

Yelp
Felt kinda ripped off. This place got great reviews and the food was good altho not good enough for the exorbitant price! And the "rooftop" is on top of some business but is behind another taller building so there really is no view. I don't see what all the fuss was about this place. We had a better view from our hotel. Service was good and the "summer Sour" cocktail was yummy but again way overpriced!

Yelp
We made a reservation here for right when they opened their dinner but had to wait quite a bit to get seated as it didn't seem like the restaurant was ready for diners. The ambience is great inside the restaurant and they had a nice patio too. I knocked off a star solely for the fact that this is not vegetarian friendly and the dishes are quite expensive for the quantity and the wait we had. That said, the quality is amazing and you can tell it's fresh. I ordered the Burrata as the menu was very limited. My friend got the bison gnocchi and raved about it, however, so if you are someone who eats meat, you will likely enjoy what they have! Just note it's more fine dining so prices will be a bit more expensive. Overall had a good experience though!

Yelp
This was by far the best meal we had in Banff - and that's including 1888 Chop House at Banff Springs which did not hold a candle to Bison. What stands out about Bison is that it is clearly run by people who care. Put simply, food made with love tastes better. Attention is put into the details here - the menu is creative and interesting to read, the waitstaff are genuinely friendly and schooled on all the dishes and the ambiance is perfect after a long day of adventure. The food is fresh, locally sourced and beautifully presented. I'm not a big meat eater but felt comfortable eating it at Bison. We are from New York City where amazing food can be found in abundance. Bison definitely knows what they are doing. Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite meal during my 10 day trip through the Canadian Rockies. Great flavors and some fun creative creations. Favorites were bison ragu gnocchi, tempura Maitaki mushrooms & a beet and roasted peach salad, and the bison tomahawk steak (it's huge!).
