Yelp
A wonderful gem of a place in town. I try not to be annoyed by other reviewers but the one that mentions that the view is of a parking lot is just not true. It's not a view property, it's in a town, there is parking, there is a road. Again, it's in town. And yes it's in an old smaller house, and that creates smaller indoor square footage/. It's been fabulously reimagined, especially the front patio area. It's super cute and incredibly well done and I'm not sure what the other reviewer wants from them.
The drinks - we had margaritas, a Paloma and a mezcal watermelon drink, all were delicious; the mezcal was light and well balanced and my favorite.
The food - the tuna was a surprising hit, crab cakes were solid. My daughter had French onion soup to die for and a house salad - now I'm sorry but I need to address the reviewer that complained about the house salad and in general the same ingredients being used in the menu - it's a bistro it's not the Cheesecake Factory - the house salad was 5 star, I would order it as an entree next time. It wasn't huge but perfectly dressed and light with a large wheel of goat cheese, tangy and crunchy. Very satisfying! The buratta was another favorite for us and of course the baguette. Steak frites perfectly cooked.
The service - perfect in that way of always there when you need something and very friendly. Dishes cleared promptly, food and drinks out in a reasonable amount of time.
You might be wondering if I know the owner, I don't, we have only visited once and we will be back for sure, but as a society we should move in a direction of appreciation for small business owners, the folks that take chances and roll their life savings into their dreams to serve us a bistro dinner under a lanterned tree on a magical patio on a late summer night creating memories with my family. Leaving ridiculous, childlike tantrum reviews because their vision doesn't add up to perfection to you is so lowbrow and entitled. I for one am exhausted by it. Please consider joining me in cheering on the folks that create the luxe texture of our experiences and let's change the conversation.
