### Review: Bittersweet Shoppe on Newbury Street
I recently stopped by Bittersweet Shoppe on Newbury Street for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, and it was an absolute delight! The space is incredibly cute and charming, with a clever layout that maximizes seating in what could otherwise feel like a quirky, confined area. Somehow, they manage to fit everything in without making you feel like you're on top of your neighbors—it's cozy without being cramped, perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed coffee break.
One standout feature is their gluten-free bread substitutions, which made it easy for my friend to customize her order. I went with the grilled cheese sandwich featuring bacon, dill pickles and it was perfection on a plate. The bread had a beautiful golden crust with just the right crunch, and the portions were spot-on—generous amounts of gooey cheese, crispy bacon, and tangy pickles that balanced each other beautifully without overwhelming the sandwich.
Paired with a tasty cup of coffee that was smooth and not burnt at all, it hit the spot exactly as I needed. They also have a lot of great options on the menu, which makes it even more appealing. If you're strolling down Newbury Street and craving something comforting and well-executed, Bittersweet Shoppe is a gem worth visiting. I'd love to go back and try more—highly recommend! 5 out of 5 stars.
