The Black Cake Company

The cake took close to 3 weeks to deliver (Delayed order due to it not arriving before I had travel, that would make it 4 weeks total). Black Cake Company forgot to ship it twice. Once delivered the cake was under cooked in the middle and was closer to a pudding versus cake consistency. I called with concern with the person on the line saying, "Sorry to hear that, ..okee dokee." Too expensive for delay and poor quality.

Listen, get the cake!! All the flavors you think you want and whatever size you might need, size up! We ordered 2 cakes for birthday party the black and pineapple rum. The guest of honor is very particular about food, especially black cake. Everyone loved it, so moist and decadent. You're supposed to eat by the sliver but it was eaten by the slice! I had to hide some, cake didn't last a week so good. Angela was premier customer service, very attentive and accommodating. Cakes packaged well. We'll be back to order for all upcoming occasions!

WARNING!!!!!! I was so excited to give one of these cakes as a Christmas gift to my mom, who specifically requested fruit cake. I ordered on Dec 6 and with a note detailing when I might pick it up. I sent several follow up emails inquiring about when/where I could get the cake—no response. I tried their website contact form, messaging on Instagram, and calling/leaving a voicemail. Still, no response. This is incredibly disappointing, as I now am heading home without my mother’s Christmas gift and out $60. I will update will any resolution here, but wanted to warn potential future customers since other reviews were overwhelmingly positive.

Needed a moist, solid, black (great) cake as my previous supplier took her talents to heaven. The Black Cake Co more than filled that spot! My birthday cake was absolutely delicious. I didn’t even share it with others. I ordered another and gave them a taste and they too are hooked on these moist, fragrant, masterpieces. 2 friends even got their wedding cakes there with great pleasure. Looking forward to my upcoming birthday again… then Christmas.. then new year’s…mmmm

Got one of their black cakes as a gift - it’s something I’ve never had, living in Vancouver Canada. Absolutely delicious - moist and tender - richly spiced - dark deep flavours. A terrific cake and so lovely to try something I’ve never had before - and a way for me to taste a bit of Caribbean culture.

For years I was looking for black cake (with and without iceing) like auntie use to make and I have definately found a tasty, moist, delicious cake. TBCC never disappoints I have been a customer for years now. My family and I are more than pleased with their service and their products. Keep up the extraordinary work.
