London’s Best Sunday Roasts | The Best Roast Dinners in London | Eater London

"With a cute, warm back garden, this Brentford pub that prides itself on a very serious selection of craft beer and tinned fish is also strong on Sunday roasts, with the likes of lamb with hummus and a thyme and pomegranate gravy; trad beef with horseradish and red wine; and a roast pork heady with fennel seed." - Adam Coghlan

The Best Food at Football Grounds: Where to Eat Before the Match in 2022 | Eater London

"Brentford Community Stadium Packed out before and after match days, this pub’s outstanding range of cask ales and bottles from craft breweries all over the country draws in the local congregation. The food’s more hotel on the riviera than half-time, with tinned fish galore, but the kitchen puts out roasts, burgers, and more of serious ballast." - Josh Barrie

London’s Best Local Pubs and West End Boozers | Eater London

"In a contested area — near Brentford’s former Griffin Park football ground, which famously has a pub at each corner — the Black Dog’s huge beer selection, balance between trad and modish food, and comfortable garden wins out. It’s rightly rammed with football fans every other weekend once again, so either come down for the atmosphere or check Brentford’s fixtures." - James Hansen

A traditional beer 🍻 house with an excellent selection of drinks, definitely something for everyone. Staff were very friendly and helpful (with recommendations on beers) and professional, keeping the pub clean. We had some food (Kawarma & Loaded Fries) The service was quick, the food was well cooked and very tasty. Dog friendly & a good selection of games to play, they really do want you to stay and enjoy the place. Recommend to all if you are in the area.

Busy London pub tucked just off of the high street in Brentford. Great atmosphere and service. The food though was the cherry on the cake, amazing pork belly with red cabbage slaw and a side of decent chips. Thoroughly recommended 👌

My first ever visit to this pub. Amazing range of cask and keg beers a couple of which are brewed on site. Organic wines on draught and a couple of real ciders. I didn't get chance to try the food which looked excellent. A truly top quality pub in Brentford worth travelling for

Amazing. Best pub in London!!! No crappy pub food here, excellent inspired cuisine!!! Plus they a wiener dog and the sign and a fantastic “ secret garden” style back patio.

Great little boozer a block away from the old Griffin Park. Lovely ambience, great selection of draft and keg ales from around the world, very good pub food and all reasonably priced. Loads of staff at peak times so you're never left waiting too long.

Visited Brentford for the 3rd New Year in a row. Found the Black Dog on the first visit, staying across the road at the Premier so been coming here for 3 years. I booked a table to guarantee a spot on our arrival 29th Dec. Eaten here for 3 days and visted for 4 days. Take the best bit of every bar you have visited. Amazing staff, friendly customers, log fire, great keg n cask beers. Wines, port, fantastic food, great prices (I'm from Yorkshire) shake em up n pour them out. This is what you get The Black Dog Beer House . Just wish it wasn't 173 miles away from home. Hopefully back soon

Amazing and consistently great pub. We’ve been visiting since it very first opened and so great that it continues to be such a gem. Great staff, incredible food and drink and just an all round brilliant pub.

Really great pub, wish I'd discovered it ages ago but I'm not in Brentford that often. Great selection of beer, great decor, seems very friendly. It's one of those pubs you know will be your local if you lived in the area, and if you don't live in the area, you kind of wish you did because of pubs like this.
