Yelp
The Black Salt was super cool.
It's a nice neighborhood bar to stop in before or after dinner.
The atmosphere is dark and laid-back.
The staff is friendly and accommodating.
The website states, "seating is first come," but I had to sit at the bar. I couldn't sit in the more private area because I was told it was reserved.
I went in already knowing that I wanted a spell along with my drink.
Yeah, it's that kind of spot, a mystical unique witchcraft bar.
They offer rituals and spells with select drinks. There are also non-ritual drinks and also non-alcoholic ones.
I visited to start my birthday weekend celebration setting intentions for a wonderful personal new year.
I couldn't decide if any of the spell drinks aligned with my intentions at first, so I went with a general ritual "Transmission" for love. Doesn't every good thing begin with love?
It was tasty, made with bourbon, ginger, grapefruit, and honey.
I also ordered a spinach pastry so as not to drink alcohol on an empty stomach. There are a few other items available for noshing.
I didn't stay long, I had another engagement.
But the bar filled up pretty quickly after opening.
It seems like a popular place.
I parked on the street at a meter, but strangely enough, the next block didn't seem to have meters. Also, the hostess informed me that the lot across the street is free to park in.
Before I left, I walked through to check out the esthetic. I was into it. There's a patio out back, a cool upper level, and an even more cozy space in the back of the house, before one walks out to the patio.
I don't know if the space is available for private rental, but it would make for a dope party with different mystical stations, if you will.
Do check them out. I would imagine that The Black Salt is going to grow by leaps and bounds.
