The Kitchen at Atomic’s Jackson Stamper shares his favorite Las Vegas restaurants | Eater Vegas

"A contemporary spot serving standout dishes such as a grilled Spanish octopus that is spicy but well balanced; also experiments with fusion touches, like a bouillabaisse featuring Vietnamese flavors." - Susan Stapleton

One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been in. The atmosphere is sexy and dim perfect for a girls night out or date night. The cocktails we all tried were absolutely out of this world. Seriously. We joked that we wished we could take them to-go in a gallon container. We, a group of 4, shared 6 items split between each part of the menu and each one went back to the kitchen completely scraped. Jonathan, our server, was soooooo sweet and attentive. The design, the service, the drinks, the food, even the playlist over the speakers, everything there was not a single miss in our experience. 10/10!

Update Dec 6 2025: This is becoming my favorite restaurant in Greenville. Black sleep has IMMEDIATELY claimed the title of best Mediterranean in Greenville. Our server Palmer was super friendly and informative. The food was spectacular. They're going to rotate their menu so, if you go soon, you need to get the following: lamb appetizer (the pickled raisins somehow brought the entire dish together), the zucchini dish, and the lamb entree. Not far behind were the muhamara and the wagyu kebab. The drinks were also fantastic, especially the golden ark. Soon it will become difficult to get a reservation for this place, so get in while you can.

First experience at The Black Sheep and definitely NOT our last! Everything about this restaurant was flawless. Walk into a beautifully decorated restaurant that screams class and elegance. We were quickly greeted by our waiter Will who proved to be amazing in every way from guidance with the menu, attentiveness, and a vibe as if we had known him for years. Then came the food… as beautiful as every plate and drink was that was quickly overshadowed by its amazing taste. If I had to say anything negative it would be the fact that we were able to get a reservation easily which I know will not be the case in a few months when more GVL foodies try this amazing spot. I’m sure the entire staff is amazing but I can promise that when we make our reservations moving forward we will always request a table in Will’s section. Until next time Black Sheep… you were amazing.

Hubby and I went to The Black Sheep last night to celebrate his birthday and our experience from the minute we were greeted at the door, to our waiter, others that stopped at the table, to the bartender and the hostess at the other door we left out of... Everything was top notch 5 star service. There was even a birthday card waiting at our table! 🎂 The specialty cocktails were phenomenal (Rind & Rue, Smoke em if you got em, and Open sesame), food was amazing and definitely 5 ⭐! ( lavash board, waygu kebab, black bass). Topped it off with a great dessert (rice pudding & mulberry tart). They really put a lot thought and time into the beautiful decor, as well! This restaurant is a gem in our North Main community! Highly recommend this restaurant and we'll be back!

Absolutely fantastic! Every detail at The Black Sheep was thoughtfully designed, and you can tell the owner put care into every aspect of the restaurant. From the decor to even the silverware setup, it’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The service was outstanding. Everyone was kind, knowledgeable, and offered great suggestions ( shout out to our server Niko!). The drinks were excellent and worth the price. The Golden Ark is a must-try. The food was phenomenal. Appetizers were flavorful and much more filling than expected, and our mains (the Wagyu Kebabs and the Lamb) did not disappoint - perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. For the quality, creativity, and overall experience, it’s worth every penny. The Black Sheep is a true gem and one I’ll be returning to.

I was excited to try The Black Sheep after seeing its impending opening mentioned several times in GVLtoday. Decided to make a Resy for the day after opening night. Before I get into the restaurant itself, please note that finding it is a bit difficult- and you're likely going to be parking in the parking garage of Main & Stone. Fully expected timing to be off, dishes not to be at 100%...and that was the experience we had. Started off with the lavash board, which was good and came out rather quickly. Cocktail was good, I believe the name had "damascus" in it. After getting recommendations from our server, we got the wagyu kebab and the lamb as entrees. While I understand the establishment's concept is upscale, for the price point I was expecting "more" from the experience, overall, and that's where my 3-star rating comes from. My lamb was incredibly tough and dry, and the small portion of protein on a small bed of bulgar was not making sense for the high price of $40. My partner's kebab looked and tasted better, in comparison, but was still $38. We got the semolina cake and a sweetened Turkish coffee for desert, which were both just okay. The coffee was in a glass cup smaller than an espresso shot for $5... I also personally found the "white glove" service a bit odd. Not in and of itself, just in this setting. Flatware was both removed and replaced between courses, and it was quite awkward for our server to be picking each piece of flatware up and removing it individually. Just added to the strangely paced timing overall. We were also seated in a booth that didn't allow for seeing much of the restaurant. I'd probably sit at the bar next time. Would like to return after they've found a groove to give them another go, as we were told their menu is seasonal.

The Black Sheep offers a unique fine dining experience in Greenville. The menu focuses on cuisines from four Mediterranean countries and changes seasonally. I ordered the lamb kibbeh for a starter, the wagyu kebab for my entree, and finished with the semolina cake. Every dish I tried was fantastic. I sat at the bar and got to enjoy a few of Mari's beautiful cocktails, which are also inspired by the same Mediterranean countries.

I had the privilege of being invited to the friends and family week at Black Sheep and Greenville is in for such a treat. This new restaurant is a breath of fresh air as there is nothing remotely close to it in the area. From the moment you walk in the attention to details is exquisite. No expense was spared to make this restaurant look five star. The food carries the torch all the way through your experience. The service was spot on. There are even a few steps of service nobody in Greenville is doing. The menu is sooo good. Chef Danielle, previously Chef de Cuisine at Jianna is a genius of her craft. The menu highlights four different countries each quarter all of her heritage. We tried 12 different dishes!!! Our favorite bites ranged from the Dolma, Lamb with sour cherries and an eggplant dish I will be craving for week! This new restaurant is a must try!
