"If your plan while in Taos is mostly to ski, you can't beat The Blake at Taos Ski Valley. This Euro-inspired slopeside lodge has on-call 'Hausmeisters' who attend to whatever you need via text; a saltwater pool; and floor-to-ceiling archival ski photos by Dick Durrance."

We really enjoyed our stay here. Mike, Kevin, and Linda Lee were delightful people who took excellent care of us. The ski valet was a great service—super convenient and as close as you can get to the lift so you don’t have to carry skis far. We never had to wait more than 15 seconds for valet service or ski valet service. The room was very nice, very clean, and had a great shower. Really nothing to dislike—we will be back.

"We had an amazing weekend celebrating my child's 14th birthday at The Blake! The kids had an absolute blast at the pool and hot tub, which was a highlight for everyone. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with stunning views that made the experience even better. It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a fun and memorable stay!" Also, very pet friendly which is so nice as we travel with our dog!

We stayed for 5 nights at The Blake and had a wonderful time! The hotel is new, the service is excellent, and our room (1 bedroom king suite) worked perfectly for our family of 4. ||It was great to be in the village right in the middle of the action, close proximity to restaurants and the ski hill. ||Andy, Ryan, Joseph and Maria all provided wonderful service at the restaurant on site. Andy was especially friendly, attentive and helpful. ||The NYE fireworks were amazing! ||The on site valet was excellent - the guys were great, helpful, friendly and fast. ||We went at a busy time of year (Christmas break) but I would highly recommend making reservations at the various restaurants in advance. The town isshort staffed, and it was tough to get reservations last minute at most of the dining establishments.||We will be back!

Mental Status Exam: The Blake Hotel Appearance: Exceptional, with a prime and fabulous location offering easy access to the ski hill. Behavior: Attentive, hospitable, and genuinely caring; staff fostered an inviting and sociable atmosphere. Mood: Relaxed and rejuvenated. Affect: Warm and content, enhanced by spacious rooms, excellent amenities, and opportunities for both cold plunge therapy and a perfectly heated Jacuzzi. Thought Process: Clear and organized, though surprised the hotel is not classified as a 5-star establishment. Judgment: Positive experience overall; the combination of sociability, convenient ski access, and seamless ski valet service makes it difficult to identify what more would be required for 5-star status.

10/10 in every aspect. Room was outstanding and ski valet/ rental shop on the second floor is such a huge convenience. Would definitely book again. Service was amazing through the whole trip. Skiing was awesome and the staff at TSV welcomed us with open arms

Admittedly, years of roach motels and friends couches have likely lowered my standards for sleep-away accommodations, but I can say objectively and with confidence The Blake at Taos Ski Valley - and its staff in particular - are elite (or "fire", as i've overheard local youth say).||The ability to communicate with staff via text was next-level, and their promptness in addressing my needs exceeded expectations. The rooms and spa facilities are immaculately maintained. Hell, I even found myself making prodigious use of the bathroom condiments (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.) which, as it happens, are sourced locally!||I've oft heard real estate agents stress the importance of "location" - The Blake at Taos Ski Valley is ideally located for snowboard-in/snowboard-out access. With only a modicum of training, you could spit and hit the lift line (though that would be cruel and un-hygenic). I can't wait to return!||Special thanks for blessing my stay go to:|- Lizzy|- Celeste|- Evan|- Amber|- Derrick|- The nice valet dudes||Earl|Detroit, Michigan

It was all around a fantastic stay. ||We went for my partner's birthday and the staff at the Blake made us feel special. They surprised us with a hand written happy birthday note and champagne in the room, and had a dog bed brought up for our pup to sleep comfortably!

My husband and I stayed at The Blake for 5 days. From the front desk to the valet parking personnel, our stay was amazing. They went above and beyond our expectations to make sure our stay was great. We can’t wait until we visit The Blake again. ☃️

Yelp
This was our third summer coming to The Blake and every trip has been outstanding. Service is excellent and it's clear everyone who works there takes pride in their job and the hotel. We had a one bedroom suite which the an adjoining room for two kids. We have a lot of family who live nearby and it was perfect for entertaining and having a home base. The salt water pool is amazing and there is so much to do without ever leaving TSV. We played trivia at the Bavarian restaurant, rode the lift and hiked down, played cornhole and bocce, had a great meal at 192, attended the free yoga class and got great deals (and service!) at Taos Mountain Sports. Can't wait to go back to ski!

Yelp
The staff, the rooms and even the hallway water fountains. Our stay here was over the top! Ski valet, top notch. Once you're through for the day just put your boots in the provided basket and head up to your room. The rooms are very spacious with amazing bathrooms - super spacious. Double- head showers! And for all the ladies- a make up mirror. Can't wait to go back! Thank you for our magical stay! Super friendly staff with top notch service!

Yelp
For a 4.5 star hotel this is a bad hotel. No one answers the phone. Called several times within the day and no call back. There should always be someone at the front desk that is able to take calls.

Benjamin S.

Yelp
I stayed twice at the Blake this past ski season and it's fantastic. Lovely, well-designed rooms that are very comfortable. Great bathrooms! The ski valet setup is perfect. And the restaurant is delicious. The Blake is a top notch experience all around with really warm staff who make you feel welcomed. It's a perfect ski hotel.

Yelp
I haven't actually stayed at this hotel but I did recently work with someone from the hotel over the weekend (her name is Lauryn). We had some dear friends who were staying at the hotel and celebrating their anniversary. They mentioned where they were staying and I thought, I should call that place up and try to surprise my friends with something delivered to their room! I never really know who to ask to speak to for something like this so I just called and told the person who answered what I wanted to do. He immediately put me in touch with Lauryn. (Kudos to that guy who knew who I should be transferred to.) Lauryn wasn't there so I left a message. She called me back promptly, within 5 minutes. I told her what I was thinking and told her the name of the guests. Lauryn said she had met one of my friends earlier that morning and said she already knew about the anniversary and was in the process at that very moment of sending them a bottle of bubbly on the house. Immediately, I thought, this is a class act! I asked Lauryn if she could arrange to have a basket full of cheeses and meats delivered and maybe some fruit. She mentioned that there was an organic grocery store next door and that she would be happy to pick some items up for me. I told her the types of salami, cheeses, and other items that I thought they would like. She said no problem. Within 30 minutes, she sent me a picture of what she bought, took off all the price tabs and quickly bundled things up in a basket and had it delivered to them! Lauryn did something else that was really nice too but this review is already long and I think the description above will shed plenty of light on the type of top quality service you can expect when you come to The Blake. At the end of the day, you can own a 5 star hotel but if that hotel doesn't have exceptional staff members to help the guests out (and in this case, their friends from another state), you don't really have a 5 star hotel. All I can do is give them a 5 star review. I definitely know that I want to make a special trip here just so I can hand Lauryn a nice tip to thank her for helping me out so much!

Yelp
The Blake was a wonderful experience for a quick vacation get away before Thanksgiving. The entire hotel staff was super friendly and professional. Valet parking is a bonus. The rooms are big and clean, the gym was state of the art, and the spa was updated with wonderful service. We loved the restaurant with the big roaring fire and cozy lounge chairs to sink into. As we watched the snow come down, we knew we made the best choice for a vacation spot! Highly recommend the Blake and look forward to returning soon!

Yelp
Stopped overnight on the way to Colorado - sad to say that we have nothing to say. Staff was great - unfortunately typical Covid times. Double check what's open before you come - Who would imagine staying at a ski resort and not being able to get breakfast. ‍‍

Yelp
The two stars does not represent how much I love this mountain. The skiing here is AMAZING! 5 stars for those epic runs. The hotel isn't bad either. What absolutely sucked was the management. How this clown got his job is a mystery. I won't go into my saga. I'll keep it short. This guy and his team do not have problem solving skills at all! To add to the lack of professionalism the little grocery store just out side the hotel had the creepiest woman (maybe she was the manager there) bitching at all the patrons. It was shocking. This was our first trip to Taos and like I started off saying, this mountain is a gift from heaven. But I keep asking myself, "will I actually come back here though? "

Yelp
Wow! This is our second time staying here. Staff is very attentive and friendly. The hotel itself is very impressive. Clean, modern, but yet has a comfy, cozy feel to it. Being a green hotel makes the stay even better. They have eco friendly products and filtered water stations on every floor for you to fill up your bottles. The decor is lovely and very inviting. The staff is accommodating to your needs as well. The location makes it easy to walk out the door to the ski lifts. Everything you need is a short walk. Pet friendly too! Most definitely will be staying here every time we come back!!!

Yelp
This has become my most favorite hotel in my most favorite town. While it is a bit expensive compared to some other accommodations in the ski valley, it is everything you pay for! To start, you pull up to the hotel and are greeted by the most amazing and friendly staff you could ever ask for. They are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful! They even unload your car for you and take all of your ski gear to a ski valet. They then deliver your bags to your room and make sure you are set up for an amazing stay. When you get to the ski valet, your boots are warm (don't underestimate the power of a warm boot!!) and your skis are waiting outside. They will even help you get your boots on if you struggle with that! The valet and hotel are steps away from the lifts! After an amazing day of skiing, you bring your gear back to the valet and they store it for you. To say it's seamless, is an understatement! With sore legs, you can visit the hot tub and spa. They have 2 hot tubs and an amazingly warm outdoor pool! The restaurant and bar are even more incredible. The drinks are delicious and the food is excellent! The hotel room is cozy and welcoming and most importantly, CLEAN! There are even humidifiers in the rooms, in case the heater makes you stuffy. They go about and beyond throughout this hotel, to make your experience incredible! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Save your money and plan a stay here during ski season, you will not regret it!

Yelp
This hotel was super cute! We came here for a wedding. Pros: customer service was awesome. They constantly check in on you to see how your stay is through text. The rooms are nice and big with great views. The Taos TEA that they provide is AMAZING. It's local from Taos so if you get a chance to stop by the store I would recommend it. We didn't get to stay here for long but if we were to come back, we would definitely stay here again to try the pool, spa, and gym. Cons: the towels were surprisingly very rough. Everything in the hotel was really nice so I was surprised to find not so great towels. Other than that all good.

Zerrin D.

Yelp
positives: the bellhops, ski valet, maintenance people, and most of the front desk workers (samuel, katelin) were so friendly, accommodating, positive, and helpful throughout our stay. there were comfortable beds, beautiful ski mountain views, two hot tubs, and a nice warm pool. we had an amazing first couple days at the blake. then the storm hit. cons: literal storm - squalls, very high winds. power out in much of taos, state of emergency declared for the county. ski lifts closed, no electricity except generators. no room electricity incl.power outlets, hot tubs, pools, gym equipment, spa, nearby restaurants closed. the storm is not the blake's fault. if they'd dealt with this natural event better, they'd have gotten five stars. the hotel used its generator for heat, lights in the hallways, and their restaurant. the places to charge devices were a power strip at the front desk and one outside the restaurant, unattended. there was no flashlight available in our room, and we used our own headlamps to navigate. we put the food from our fridge outside on the small balcony so it stayed cold. the power was out for over 26 hours. cell service was out for at least 12 hours. what would have earned this 4-star hotel 5 stars is if the hotel reached out to its guests and offered some refunds for the inconvenience or attempted some service recovery. in my opinion, they should have used their restaurant generator power to provide a dinner buffet for all their guests without food or power in their rooms, free of charge. instead, they charged full price at the sub-par hotel restaurant. we were able to get our meal comped that night by the front desk manager. joshua, the front desk manager, was relatively friendly and informative in person after the power went out at first. it's not his fault the hotel does not have a more effective management protocol for power loss. however, after we left, he patronizingly told me over the phone i was the only guest for whom he was processing a refund. i'm not sure how many people paying 4-star hotel prices are okay using headlamps to look at toilet paper after wiping their butts, but i am not one.

Yelp
Love this hotel in Taos. Valet service included in the price. Also, breakfast buffet was $15 for adults and $7 for kids. Breakfast was ok- scrambled egg, bagel, toast, green chili, tortilla, etc 2 queen bed room was large! Could fit another bed. The bathroom was also huge. New, clean, very very nice! We went over Easter - last weekend for ski season - so not very packed. The ski shop was located in the hotel and that was where the kids checked in for their lessons and to get their gear. You can access the main ski valley area with lifts within feet of the hotel- other restaurants and lodging are also near by; Note you can't get on the lifts unless you have ski equipment Loved the fact that the beginning kids ski area was within walking distance of the base of the mountain - and then there was a lift to an area a little higher from Th base (within eye sight) Once kids can turn and stop they take them up the big hill! And you can't see over that hill. There is no place at the top of the big hill for parents to go and hang out (yes we are that type!) and watch the kids throughout The day. The drive was a little under 3 hours from Albuquerque: so it's a bit of a hike - view was not bad - very expansive - different landforms to look at!!

Yelp
Spur of the moment trip turned out to be amazing in large part to The Blake! Hotel room was nicer than any other we have stayed in around the area. Great decor & amenities! Staff really aims to please & restaurant can't be beat! Try the Brussel sprouts!

Ben L.

Yelp
I have to say this has been the best hotel stay experience my wife and I have ever had, from the greeting the everyday help and guidance from all the staff, we will definitely be back and highly recommend you to stay at the Blake. We have never been treated so good, you will feel like royalty here, plus the Blake is right in the middle of everything. They have their own in house ski shop and ski rental, all the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. It was our first experience skiing, couldn't imagine going anywhere else in the future, expectations where set high!!! Don't know how anywhere else could top this

Ana D.

Yelp
This is the most charming, best run and most down to earth hotel one can ever imagine. Dream vacation there.. unlike a lot of ski resorts I have visited in the past, it comes with an actual "real personality", not a "bespoke" look and feel for New Yorkers who've seen it all and only want the same 5 star hotel and the same type of NY transplant restaurant. Luxury with a down to earth and genuine feel and experience. My family and I can't wait to go back!!

Maddi B.

Yelp
One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Worth every penny. Incredibly clean, fun decor, stellar staff (shout out to Saundra & Austin), and good food! Hands down the best ski in ski out option in Taos. Right in the middle of the Taos ski base so you're steps from lift and everything else! Highly reccomend. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Taos.

Joseph C.

Yelp
It's nice being able outside and being right at the bottom of lift 1. The restaurant at the Blake is pretty good. The pool, spa, exercise room is great. But I think what makes the Blake stand out the most is great customer service. Whether it be management, ski valet, bellhops, front desk, everyone is always on top of it, ensuring we are taken care of and doing whatever it takes to help out.

Cody W.

Yelp
I can't begin to explain how perfect our stay was at The Blake. We were there for our daughter's wedding. Everyone on staff was so gracious and willing to help in any way possible. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite on the corner overlooking Lift 1 (so I might be biased) but the setting was perfect and gorgeous. The weather was fantastic. We were able to sit out on the patio at Rhoda's and watch deer on the mountain. The stream running next to the hotel was such a wonderful feature. The pool and 2 hot tubs were amazing. The entire hotel was spotless and well taken care of. We can't wait to come back soon and experience The Blake in the wintertime. See you again soon!!

Yelp
First time for us to stay at The Blake hotel here at TAO Ski Valley. Positive: - very nice, clean - everyone is friendly and helpful - the staff keep reminding us to hydrate since we are at 9600 ft elevation. - valet service is included. - big room, big bathroom, big closet. - very modern. - drinking water filtration dispenser in every floor. - humidifier is provided in every room. - has beautiful pool & jacuzzi. - big, modern gym & spa. - laundry rooms are very clean & brightly lit. - relaxing atmosphere. And more ...... Negative: - room service wasn't very thorough. - they missed filling up coffee creamer. - they missed filling up liquid body wash in the dispenser. - we asked for clothes ironing several times but never delivered until the evening we really need it and of course, they ran out of it because everyone requesting it. ( we have a wedding party here ). Finally the manager / supervisor brought us a steamer that works really well. This is a nice place. Highly recommended when you visiting the area.

Carrie J.

Yelp
Loved this hotel even though we didn't have snow...I can't wait to go back later in the season. The staff, along with everyone in Taos Ski Valley, were very nice and took the time to get to know us and go out of their way to provide excellent service! The spa is beautiful. Our massages and facials were amazing! We stayed in a king deluxe room-the bathroom was gigantic, great spa products, and a very comfortable bed. Even thought it was very cold, we slept with the window open and could hear the little creek that ran alongside the hotel. The restaurant food and staff were also very good. Only tiny thing that was slightly less than perfect- Housekeeping seemed a little "light." they won't make your bed or clean up the bathroom counter if you leave anything at all on it. We will be back!!!!

Shari D.

Yelp
This is such an amazing hotel! 5-star setting! The rooms are delightfully large and the beds are sumptuous! The hotel boasts beautiful artwork, and the ski shop holds your skis. The breakfast is all prepared fresh on the premises, and you can watch it snow while you dine. The spa-like feel is relaxing, and you feel like an honored guest at all times!

Te M.

Yelp
One of the best places to be!! Modern, relaxing with world class service! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We visit this place at least twice a year and have been doing so for about 3 years and haven't tired of it. If you're in the area, stay here! You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
Met some of the friendliest staff and Check it was a breeze. I got a double queen and the room was roomy with a balcony. I like their big open closet space and their thoughtfulness of humidifier in the room.

Dale G.

Yelp
While at Taos we grabbed two nights at the hotel. Really impressed. The hotel is under renovation, with great upgrades in progress. Outstanding gym, yoga studio, and outside pool with two jacuzzis. Great location and service and attention to detail were a great surprise. The hotel just opened (was under construction) and you can tell they are still working out the kinks. A great experience if you can swing it.

Bodie J.

Yelp
The Blake nails it when it comes to service, ambiance, and comfort. The hotel, located within yards from the ski base, is also dog-friendly and they even provided dog beds, bowls, and snacks. The entire hotel is adorned with art from the region and has a workout area, restaurant, fun art/pictures throughout, guest laundry, free valet, hearty breakfasts included and more. Rooms were spacious, clean, and fit within the price range. The staff was more than helpful and you couldn't walk into the lobby, valet area or restaurant without being greeted and asked how your day is or if you needed any assistance on activities, room service, luggage, anything. The ONLY issue I have with the entire hotel was the Spa (which I will post a separate review about), but as the hotel itself is concerned, I highly recommend it for a special weekend away.

Judy W.

Yelp
The best thing about staying at the Blake Hotel convenience. The staff take care of you. Your things are carried in, car parked, boots warmed and skis placed outside each day by the lift. The rooms are large and extremely clean. However, there is a large construction project going on right next to the pool and hot tubs. This reduces privacy quite a bit. There was no room discount for the construction or acknowledgement on the website. Also the price of the rooms keep going up and the amenities have not improved. The rooms are expensive at $500 a night or more. It might be worthwhile to offer guests a voucher for breakfast or a discount for skiing. During our recent weekend visit the pool and hot tub were full of kids and young adults. The night we arrived one gentleman was doing cannonball jumps in the pool to amuse his kids. The next day some teens filled one hot tub with soap which shut it down for the rest of our visit. Our room was not without problems. We couldn't open our balcony door. The door lock seemed to be stuck. Although we reported the problem and the problem was written down; it didn't appear to us that it was a concern at the desk. We were not sure it was going to be corrected for the next guest as we had reported a problem with the mini-fridge a couple of years ago that was not corrected. If you open the mini fridge from the top you will skin your hand. Although we wrote staff about this there was warning on the fridge or information on the door about opening the fridge from the side to avoid the problem. However, this problem was pointed out to us by the valet who helped us with our luggage. It would seem that a sticker on the unit would solve the problem. One minor problem before we left was the Keurig coffee maker stopped working. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to have a cup of coffee prior to taking off.

Nathan E B.

Yelp
We spent our honeymoon here and couldn't be more grateful! Grateful for an amazing room, incredible staff, and fantastic location. The Blake has been in the works for several years now and anyone who knows TSV knows this is a very important addition to the area. The staff has the laid backness that you come to expect in Taos but with exceptional customer service. If you are a skiing history buff then you need to check this place out. The photos & the time spent curating.... it is like a museum. If you are concerned about the environment and appreciate a hotel that does the little stuff to do their part .....the Blake is doing it! The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the finishes and features in the room made us feel very special. We had a spa treatment and they pampered us to no end! Oh yeah.... and the Blake and TSV in general is incredibly dog friendly!! If you are coming to TSV for the first time and want your stay to be unforgettable..... you found your spot.

Yelp
We just celebrated our cousins wedding at The Blake and I am compelled to write this review. My brother needs assistance to walk a long distance and the attendants were remarkable in their kindness assisting my brother. The place is gorgeous and the food was fantastic. If you think that is enough my family gave our cousin a wedding card with 300.00 in the card which was placed by the wedding cake on a table with one more wedding card. It was a very small intimate wedding so there wasn't that many guests. Our wedding card disappeared when they were packing up. The Blake just called my cousin and gave her a reimbursement of 300 towards their bill. In this day and age these types of kind gestures make your experience that much better. We will be back. Thank you. Martha Cejka

Yelp
Our last three trips to Taos Ski Valley were spent at The Blake. They say you get what you pay for and that's entirely true here. It's a great experience. The staff is amazing and their customer service is top notch. Highly recommended.

Gwenn R.

Yelp
I reviewed The Blake shortly after it opened last year and wanted to come back and update my thoughts this year. We have been skiing Taos since 1974 and must state that this hotel is a great addition to Taos Ski Valley. We spent a week there over the holidays and despite a minimal amount of snow, our stay was fabulous. We felt like everyone knew our names and cared about making us welcome. This was true with the valets who met us when we arrived, the front desk, the restaurant staff, the ski valet and even the housekeeping staff. I wish I could remember everyone's names but I do want to thank the manager Eduardo, who seemed to be everywhere helping out, Reynie in reservations, Lawrence in the ski valet room and Ashton at the front desk who called before we arrived to make certain everything would work out. And it did! The front desk serves more as a concierge service to help guests. The large quiet rooms are perfect, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms, great lighting, and enough outlets plus great views and convenience to the slopes. The restaurant is great with original southwestern tapas and unique pizzas. The wine collection is impressive. My only request (and it is minimal) would be more variety in the hot and cold breakfast buffet which was the same everyday. The gym and hot tubs are clean and how nice to have an outdoor pool to use in the winter. Kudos to Taos for the fresh water fountains everywhere and The Blake provides free bottles to refill for all guests. The artwork is priceless, giving a complete history of Taos Ski Valley. We recommend walking all the floors and even checking the public restrooms to see the photos and art. I also want to praise all the people who work at Taos Ski Valley who, despite the unusually low snow base, were still positive in their dealings with guests. And the snow making team is superb. The runs that were open were in fabulous condition. Thanks Chris Stagg for keeping Taos Ski Valley our favorite place to be.

Tim B.

Yelp
Great room with great views. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet room with big bath. Restaurant has somewhat long wait but friendly service. Be sure and place reservation. It's not that big. I'd like to come back in the winter. We were there for Oktoberfest and it was a blast. Guests were wearing everything from cut off's to date night dress up. Overall quite relaxing atmosphere.

Yvonne C.

Yelp
Be warned, the massage at the spa was overly priced and awful. Not worth the money. 0 stars, felt really ripped off afterwards.

Christian N.

Yelp
Stayed at the hotel last weekend with the family for an event. Unexpectedly we had a friend of the kids join us and the hotel accommodated is without a problem. Their staff was always there with a smile. The location made for a very convenient visit, you have it all there. Only had their breakfast food which was good. They also made our departure an easy process. Thanks.

Kellie M.

Yelp
We stayed at the Blake over New Year's in 2018 and had the absolute best time. That trip was just my family of five. We had so much fun and such a great experience that we wanted to recreate it with some of our favorite friends. We rebooked for 2019 New Year's (six months in advance) and both families gave it to the kids from Santa as their big present. When I booked, I booked two rooms and requested to be on the 1st floor and have adjoining rooms. With a five-night minimum we were banking on the fact that the kids could be in one room (adjoining) and the adults could have some wind down time in the other room after long ski days. I called the ski valley no less than three times and was reassured that our request would be granted. Once we arrived at the Blake, neither request was granted. We were told that the room we wanted had to go to a guest with a dog and that adjoining rooms were all given away and that we should have emailed our request instead of calling. Keep in mind this was over a $7,000 reservation. We were then told we had to stay in certain rooms for one night, then pack up and move to another room. With all the stuff that comes with skiing for a family of five that was nothing short of a headache when we were supposed to be on vacation. Joshua at the front desk management, promised so many things and fell beyond short and delivered each piece of disappointing news with a very rude attitude. We were promised certain compensation for staying in the rooms with a handshake. After that handshake all of the promises were never delivered. Both us and our kids were extremely disappointed by the level of customer service, that over promises and lack of delivery. After all of this we had a child experiencing altitude sickness and requested a pitcher of water. It was delivered without any cups. When we called back to request cups, they sent a housekeeper with coffee mugs that she pulled out of a dirty laundry bag! I have sent many people to the Blake with the intent of experiencing the same vacation we did back in 2018, but I can assure you I will never recommend this place again. For that price go somewhere else.

Yelp
We are usually a family that can only sneak off for a few days and find cheapo deals, but we decided to save up and actually stay at a nice resort for Christmas. We were not disappointed! From the earliest phone conversations to the email exchanges, through the stay and up to final departure, we found The Blake staff to be professional and helpful with as much of a personal touch as you can imagine. My husbad was deployed last year and missed a few holidays, so we wanted this year to be a bit of a make-up. We were impressed that staff members at the Blake were aware of our story and always greeted us as if they knew us. Everyone knew their jobs well and was so eager to assist the guests. The hotel and rooms are organized and designed nicely and it seems they thought of everything. I could go on and on about every detail, but the website is thorough and accurate. We utilized the fitness center, yoga class, spa services, ski valet, pool, hot tub, and restaurant too. The Village is right outside and other hotels and restaurants are very close. To top off the experience, the staff reached out to the families with children that were planning on staying over Christmas and had personalized gifts along with a Polar Express reading on Christmas Eve. The whole trip was magical and we could not have written a better story. I would highly recommend this resort for any vacation. No matter what the season, I would expect the people at The Blake to always step up and help create an incredible and worthwhile experience.

Yelp
My fiancé and I just spent the weekend at the Blake and had an incredible time! We checked in after a full day of skiing and everyone was really friendly and helpful. They had a text service we could use if we needed anything which we thought was a really cool idea. I loved the ski valet- the people working there were awesome and offered to help us put our boots on and take them off and they kept our shoes on heaters while we were skiing. We had a 50 minute couples massage and HIGHLY recommend it. It was the perfect thing to do after a day of skiing and the spa was really relaxing and beautiful. We forgot our bathing suits so we didn't get to enjoy the hot tubs or pool but it looked really nice and would love to do that next time. My fiancé commented that it felt like the hotel was created by a family who really thought of convenience in luxury. There were plugs easily accessible on the side of the night stand, the staff set up a humidifier for us when we arrived, they provided water bottles for all guests with water fountains to refill on every floor, and had smart TVs in each room. The hotel was well designed with New Mexican charm- they had a booklet describing the history of the family in the room. They also had an incredible art collection with an original Georgia O'keeffe in the lobby. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to return soon!
