Elaine is great, she bartends on Fridays ! Also get their steak quesadilla! Parking is easy to find in the neighborhood. It's a family friendly pub, but also a place you can go for a girls night. A great pub is able to manage all of these things.

They keep it segregated. One of the bartender's pretty great, a couple of the waitresses are nice, but the management and half the staff discourage Black people and those who aren't welcomed by their preferred white clientele from getting too comfortable beyond the front half of the bar.

First time here and it is a shame how this really is. Has potential. But. I ordered a hamburger and fries with a gingerale with grenadine on it. The drink was the best part The hamburger was so greasy the bun was soggy on the bottom. The fries were hit but were cooked twice so full of grease. Has potential but don't order the burger and fries. And also don't expect to be waited on. While sitting at the table I called the restaurant and asked if they could send a waitress over. Sad part is they were not crowded at all.

I attended this past Thursday for lunch with my best friend we ordered two sandwiches and two drinks our bill came up to about maybe 60.11 bucks I used the tip calculator which came up to $9.11 which I did! two days later my card was charged $75 and some change which exceeded the tip that which I agreed upon the waiter decided to give herself a $15 tip $6 more than what I agreed upon which really pissed me the f*** off. My card s​hould have only been charged for $69.11. when dining here make sure you use cash and cash only because they do not respect your choice and tip.

Bartenders and waitresses are always amazing and very attentive! Love coming here and the food is always great at a great price. Will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed this place! It wasn't very busy, but the environment was happy and loud. The service was great! Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu and helped us when we were deciding between things. We ordered 3 courses with drinks and it was delicious! Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious! We had a beef and chicken empanada, the turkey BLTA, and the power bowl. I do think the power bowl was good but I added chicken, which I think is essential. The true spectacle was the dessert. I never order dessert at restaurants, but I was convinced to share the cookie! Oh my gosh, it was so worth it!! I highly recommend this place

one thing for sure, the food was served HOT, hot to the point that the steam was still coming from the wings after 10 mins. the wings was fried but it wasn't crispy fried, its soft. the wings were really moist. the salmon entree was actually huge, but the curry was a bit watery. so it became kind of tasteless. but we were surprised it was a huge portion. we liked the gyro. good mixture of meat and veggies.

I grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts and remember when this restaurant opened. Now that I live in the DC area, I always check it out when I'm in the area visiting family. Since I'm the brunch queen, it was good to see that they have brunch !!!!! Boston has brunch !!! Wow !!!!! Felicia was our beautiful server. It was pretty busy at the bar and on the patio as there was a group of guys after a game. Despite that, there were tables to get away and talk. I do like that it's a diverse crowd in the spot. She suggested I get the Orchid Mule and I had two. They were delicious . I ordered the big brunch which included French toast, ham, sausage , ham, eggs, and toasts . Very filling !!!!! My friend had the Cobb salad. I also had the espresso mule and that was also very tasty. I'll definitely be back when I'm home again !

Honestly, I'd give this place three stars for mediocre food and cocktails, but since it's near my apartment, ain't crowded, and generally clean, I'd give it an additional star. Blarney Stone is few feet away from the Fields Corner station. Location is safe, and many times I have walked to and from late at night. I've had their loaded french fries, Blarney burger, and loaded nachos. All tasted okay, but they taste better after few drinks in. And their cocktails... Not worth it, especially for the price I paid for. Each mixture didn't run smoothly on my tongue, so I just opt in for conventional drinks like vodka and cranberry because you can't screw those up. I came here a lot, and each dining experience was lacking (e.g. unsatisfying food and drinks), but the time alone at the bar after a long day at work was satisfying and very much needed. Bartenders were friendly and socially aware. They can tell which customers are down to talk but also recognize which ones want to be left alone. One other complaint I have is they don't do a great job at letting others know when they're closed for private events. One time, I called to make sure that they're opened, but they weren't answering. I just assumed that they were busy, so I headed over there and turned out that they're closed for a private event. I wish they had posted this on social media or even mention it in their voicemail so that people don't waste their time getting there only to be turned away.

Visiting from out of town and they were so kind! Yummy draft beers, kind bartender, Kevin. We weren't too hungry and split a fried chicken sandwich w shoestring fries. All cooked perfectly and quickly! Would absolutely come again!

Big, big shout out to Felisha. She was my server and when I tell you she made the expierence she should get a star on the wall with her name on it. So laid back, helpful, and just down to earth. Employees like her deserve the highest recognition. We had the buffalo chicken spring rolls and the steak and cheese quesadillas (suggested by Felisha). It was amazing and good. The bar itself is amazing and nicely decorated. The ambience is great and amazing.

First, you have to sit down alone, there's no host, so you have to find your own table and wondering when they gonna take your order . I came here because they had a kids menu, but no high chair available . A paper cup with no lid for kids drink. My toddler had to be in her knees to eat and got aggravated. The drink was so strong i felt it didn't want to order a new one. The sprouts was so burn couldn't tell the difference between the steak tips and them. It was really loud so deff not for families. The food is blah, the waitress was attentive. Definitely not worth the money I spent

If you support Black Lives Matter, I'd think twice before going to the Blarney Stone. My girlfriend and I attended a peaceful Black Lives Matter rally in Fields Corner last Friday (6/19), and stopped in hoping for a quick bite and a drink on their patio afterwards. We had our protest signs at our sides when we walked in. We weren't being political. We were very polite. We wanted some food. We waited a few minutes as the hostess was busy- no problem. She pointed out our protest signs as she was about to seat us, and refused to serve us because we had them in the restaurant. We offered to set them on the floor (out of sight) as we were eating. That wasn't good enough- they refused to serve us. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt... Maybe they're trying to stay as "apolitical" as possible. But, if that was their hope they failed miserably. Don't want the signs visible in your restaurant as we're eating? Offer to hold onto them for us. We would have happily obliged. Now I'm just left thinking they didn't serve us because they have issues with Black Lives Matter. For folks that don't know, Fields Corner is a historically Black neighborhood. Might want to check yourselves, Blarney Stone. I'll be going to a Black-owned restaurant the next time I'm in Fields Corner, and I hope other folks do as well.

I wasn't hungry, live nearby and had food in the fridge, but all the food going by made me question myself!! Great beer selection and they're easy about splitting the check. Good location by the T and it was pretty quiet on the patio even though it's right next to a busy parking lot, Dorchester Ave and Park St

Food was hot and plentiful, but that's where the good things stop. Not a good atmosphere, and the food is barely edible. Drinks are also a bit dilute. Will likely not be coming back.

We arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen closed and was expecting some attitude but that never happened. Our waitress got us drinks and didn't rush us to get the order. The food came out quickly and hit the spot. Pleasant surprise.

This gem in Fields Corner is pretty awesome! The outdoor venue (where I dined) it pretty cute, with nice lighting and has an intimate backyard vibe. The location is T accessible; hop, skip and jump from Fields Corner station on the Red line. Food's is pretty amazing! Enjoyed a veggie burger and as a vegetarian, I haven't had too many veggie burgers that I've absolutely loved but Blarney's is pretty damn close! Their cocktails are also pretty yummy too. They lost a star for me in regards to service but the overall experience made up for it!

We dropped in without a reservation and had 9 people and the team was happy to have us in. The place wasn't too busy. Food came out on time but they forgot one item. Place was clean and cool during a very hot summer. Seemed to be a younger crowd but we had 5 kids and everything worked out.

I believe this is my second time coming to this restaurant. I like the atmosphere, dim lighting, relaxed feel. The furniture is quality and there's a beautiful fire place that makes the facility feel cozy. There's a bar and a few high tables near the front entrance maybe for a livelier evening crowd. It's not a huge space but it's roomy. The employees are friendly and attentive. Today I ordered a breakfast sandwich with sour dough bread, scrambled egg whites, chicken sausage and Swiss cheese. It was super hot when it came out, which I love, and perfectly put together. The seasoning in the sandwich was delicious, the bread was toasted perfectly and the cheese fully melted. The chicken sausage was cooked just right and the egg were nice and fluffy.

We ended up at Blarney Stone because it was close to our simply because it was conveniently located to our Airbnb. We had drinks and dinner. The menu was incredibly inclusive and offered both our vegan and vegetarian, gluten free members multiple options. They were thrilled to be able to eat something other than a salad or french fries. Service was great and the cocktails were fabulous. Although our group was only in the area for 3 nights, we couldn't stop thinking about how good Blarney Stone was and came back for a second dinner. Highly recommended from our group are: steak and avocado quesadilla, fish and chips, blueberry and lavender margarita, and the power bowl.

Got takeaway this evening. Just an app, burger, chicken finger and fries. The staff was awesome from start to finish. The young lady on the phone was very exacting in taking my order. For pickup there were three promote within 4 minutes that asked if I needed help, regardless of the crowd. Food was very good. Ordered a round of drinks for friends at the bar and the barmaid was very helpful. GO HERE.

The place is always empty. It feels like an uninviting funeral home. The food is consistently bad. Even the drinks are unreliable. I wish they'd sell it and focus on the other restaurant and let someone who wants to try take it over.

Ordered a Cobb salad with Blue cheese. Not only did I not get the blue cheese but the salad was sitting on the counter and with the grilled chicken on top, it was about 80 degrees when i got it home! Why leave a salad out during a heat wave? The lettuce wa completely wilted. Not worth the price, especially with a $5.00 tip on take out. Hard pass.

Good place for quick drinks. But slightly costly.food is nice. Service is good.I had the Ravioli which was great. Smithwicks Irish ale was also very good. Good to Hangout with friends good Draft collection and Hard liquor as well. We can watch Games as well. Do a family dinner. Everything is available. Overall Experience was Great

Contrary to recent accusations of this bar being racist,I've found no evidence of this whatsoever. Tod,Dave the Bartenders, have been nothing but straight up cool professionals.Sometimes shit happens ,feelings get hurt and unfortunate things are said,Or posted. Hope this clears things up.

Don't know where these mediocre reviews are coming from but this place is the BOSS. The most amazing brunch, lunch, and dinners with the freshest ingredients! We just moved to the neighborhood and this place is hands down the best and most consistently TOP NOTCH food. Obsessed. It's never slammed and we're still trying to figure out why but it deserves some serious recognition. #bacon #salads Oh and the prices... umm please don't go out of biz because they're incredibly low and perfect.

This is my second time at Blanery, both experiences was exceptional, the atmosphere is warm, the staff welcoming and the food BOMB...Good food good vibe what more can you ask for!!!

Went for Sunday brunch, left satisfied. My friend and I both got the avocado benedict and I swear I could have eaten another one it was so damn good! Breakfast potatoes were hot and tasty and the margarita was super colorful. I did however order a mimosa first thinking it wouldn't be a pricey choice but it ended up being $10 and the giant margarita was only $8 so it was a bit of a shocker when the check came. They have the cutest little patio seating for when the weather is warmer that has a European feel to it. Loved that I could walk from my friends house that it's only about 2 blocks from the train.

Serious Comfort Food, Personable, Attentive Staff, Full- Menu= a Very Reasonable, Relaxing Experience for the Money. More Value v Price compared to its local competition ( near Ashmont Station). We always send our Guests, or partake ourselves to Brunch, Lunch, or Dinner at the Blarney Stone! Back of Restaurant Parking, easy in- front parking as well! Not pretentious, just a great casual vibe

We were looking for a place to have a drink and watch the game. I'm glad we found Blarney Stone. The bartender was amazing. I can't say enough nice things about him. The way he interacted with the patrons was truly endearing. What a great guy!!!! He made a mean old fashioned too.

I've been hosting pub trivia there for years and have never had a bad food experience. This is coming from someone who eats there at least once a week. These people are great! The owners Ben & Dave are very personable as well. As far as food goes, I recommend anything on special, but also the Melville Ave burger. It's amazing and a contender for the best burger in Boston! Also, if you're bored on a Wednesday night, thinktank trivia starts at 8pm!

I went in for a beer and was charged $100. The bartender informed the "owner" who came and told me that it happens to 1-2 people daily as it's just the system malfunctioning to certain types of cards. Then tried to brush me off by saying "just trust me you'll get it back." Why an establishment would continue to use a system that charges people $100 is sketchy to me.

It was so wonderful to sit in The Blarney Stone again of course while social distancing. We had delicious lemon cello martinis. We were only going to split an order of calamari between the two of us but it was so fresh and prepared to perfection as always, we ended up getting another. Things are crazy in our world but The Blarney Stone remains as inviting as always. The bar person was busy but friendly. Such a welcoming place. Delicious lemon cello martinis and always amazingly fresh seafood. Thanks for a great evening.

I didn't even want to give them a one star but I had too in order to share my horrendous experience. Both the female hostess and the bar attendant (brunette and blonde) were rude. We sat there for a good ten minutes before any came to "service" us. I had to say hello really loud to get hostess attention and then when asked what I wanted to drink I was told they don't have anything (wine) that I asked for. This is like the fifth time I've came here and I have held back on giving a review because I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and yes it's fair to I've done that.

I was at the Blarney Stone with friends for dinner last night, they had a Bowl of Chili and the Salmon entree. Both of which they, said they found tasty and t hy e Chili was filling and hearty. We also enjoyed the Split Pea Soup with bits of ham and bacon $7.00. Creamy and warm and the bits gave it a little kick. Thai Chicken Lettuce Wrap Ingredients included bean sprouts, Red peppers, celery, cashews and fresh cilantro with crispy noodles $13.00 This is a go to appetizer which can be shared or take some home to enjoy again! You enjoy the taste the crispy noodles then the cashews and chicken. Outstanding! An addition to the Blarney Stone's Fall menu is there Slow Braised Pork Ingredients included pappardelle, winter vegetables, sour cream with kalamata and olives. $18.00 A hearty Fall meal, which was made more enjoyable by sitting by the Blarney Stone's Roaring Fireplace.

You know what sucks? Going to a place you know is awesome for a while and then just having the worst experience ever. Before we even sat down for a late brunch we asked the hostess if it was too late to get brunch. She said "we stop serving at 3". Which was neither a yes or no but we were starving so we just went for it at 2:45. My husband and I ordered very quick very basic breakfasts and got 2 rushed messes on plates. He ordered an omelet which was super runny on the inside. Mine was supposed to be 2 eggs sunny side up with a side of bacon. No bacon and toast at first. Asked for the bacon...got a plate of something that resembled charred leather. Didn't even want to touch it so I sent it back . We ordered toast for each and got 2 slices of stale looking bread to split. The homefries looked like they barely touched heat. The onions were still white. Never got our waters. C'mon guys.

If you're not fully vaccinated, I'd skip this place. First - the good -- the food is decent pub food, the prices are reasonable, they make a good drink and you can always get a table. However, minimal COVID protocol is being observed. Our table had not been cleaned -- there were food scraps from the previous occupants on the table and the seats. The mask on the person who delivered food was regularly under their nose. Perhaps, worst of all, people are vaping indoors. There was a group of young women seated near the bar - openly vaping. This is illegal in any time period -- it is egregious during a pandemic. If this is what happens in the front of the house, I cannot imagine what goes on behind the scenes. On top of all this, they slap a "check-out" fee on top of the bill. Too many other good places in our neighborhood that are doing things right.

Please save yourself the trouble and order from any other Dorchester bar!! I've never been spoken to the way I was spoken to by the staff at this place!!!! I wish I could give less than 1 star. I placed A pick up order for the steak tip meal.. which according to their menu included bbq marinated steak tips, creamy mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts with bacon.. I picked up my order not thinking to check before leaving the restaurant and upon getting home I opened my meal to see THREE DRY OVER COOKED STEAK TIPS (THAT ARENT MARINATED IN BBQ SAUCE WHATSOEVER) they were sitting on a bed of soggy fries with HALF MELTED CHEESE!!!! ...for $20.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! This meal is not even on their menu so I can't understand how this was even made!!!!. There was no mash and no Brussels sprouts at all. Just three dry ass steak tips and bed of soggy fries with half melted American cheese!!!! I called the restaurant to inquire and spoke with a waitress (forget her name) who informed me that fries were given in lieu of mash because they ran out of mash. Why was I not informed of this change in my meal???????? Furthermore the waitress that I spoke with put me on hold to "call her manager" and a completely different waitress named Mackenzie came back on the line and was VERY RUDE & had nothing to offer me but an apology...no refund nor a different resolution! I asked to speak with her manager and she told me no manager was on duty.....on a Friday night! What restaurant conducts business on a summer Friday night with no manager??? This is blasphemous!!!!!!!! I am very upset and was looking forward to this meal but will never give this place business again. Don't waste your time.. they don't value customer service and have rude ppl working for them! I wish I could give less than 1 star..seriously...

It's big, it has pool tables, and folks of every race, color and creed drink here. That's not a bad combination at all. I hugged a wall and did some people watching, since the splendid mix of South Shore "Yeah Dudes," women in pants that were clearly sprayed on and enormous guys in do rags gave me more entertainment than anything that could've been on TV on a Saturday night. The parking is ample, with a supermarket lot around the corner, which was a nice touch. If you're in the area and, for some odd reason, don't want to go to an actual Irish pub, this is a good alternative.

Nothing like getting harassed by a group the whole time you're trying to have dinner. But "one of them works here" so they didn't get talked to. Bad service and the waitress tried to add extra drinks to the tab. Luckily we noticed! I'd go anywhere else but here

I eat here way too much! However, this is as good as it gets in the area, with great food, cool bartenders, and free parking. (WATCH THE SIGNS IN THE PARKING LOT THAT SAY McD's ONLY. THEY WILL TOW YOUR BUTT!) I love the lunch and drink specials. Also great selection of seasonal, local, and IPA beers. Great outdoor eating area which is an enclosed patio. Every time I eat out there I almost forget that I am literally in the heart of Fields Corner! I've gone to many events here also. Great place for graduation parties, afterwork sets, on really any celebratory event that shouldn't be in your house, but is too small for a hall rental. So many of my friends and I really wish Blarney was open in the AM for drinks and breakfast for when we get out of work (we're night workers...judge not) Not many places that have libations and food for the off shift workers of Boston. Either way, I'll be back again and again!

Delicious dessert and amazing appetizers: Jerk chicken screwers. Drinks are are smooth, orchard mule is highly recommended!

Overall general vibe was great. I had drinks, which were reasonably priced compared to other places. They also provide complimentary corn bread, which I thought was bland and I didn't like. Its a great place for both a family event or for a simple meet up.

My friend & I who both live in Dorchester, wanted to go to brunch w/out it being a production to get there. When you're hungry in the morning the last thing you want to do is spend 30-40 min. to travel somewhere. We decided to check out some local establishments & ended up here. They have this delish white chocolate chip & macadamia nut pancakes. It totally hit the spot. Their portions are good, not the usual American brunch buffet w/ endless food. (Not a fan of buffets so glad they didn't have one.) I was surprised at the amount of tv's they had so will definitely have to check it out at night. I was glad to see some veg options on their regular menu too.

Tried this place for the first time on Saturday. Absolutely delicious!! My friend had told me she'd gone a few times and loved it. I can definitely see why. The veggie flat bread with sweet potato is drool-worthy and the appetizer egg rolls were equally as good. My meal portion was big enough to eat for leftovers twice. Would recommend

I've been here a few times but this time wasn't oh so pleasant. I came one day after a rough day at work thinking I just may need to unwind and just have time to myself. I sat at the bar and grabbed me a glass of wine as well as some buffalo chicken tenders. The tenders weren't all that great and the service definitely could've been better. I waited at least 30 min to get someone to grab me the bill. Maybe it was just that day where things were just off. We'll see how things go next visit.

This might be the nicest bar in Dorchester. I'm just guessing. I'm not an authority on DOT, but it was nicer than I expected. They have Carlsberg on draft which is nice (better than the bottles). And I tried chicken pate believe it or not. I thought it was good!

Great bar and great food. Came here with coworkers after work. They have a great selection of drinks on draft and in cans as well as mixed drinks. It's a large space and a great place for a group to hang out. I ordered the burger here and added jalapenos. They burger was a great complement to the drinks. Overall highly recommend.
