Ayana is easily the best hairstylist I know, by far! I’ve been going to her for 3 years and have never left disappointed. She not only styles my hair but also has started cutting it too. She very communicative and flexible if you need off schedule appointments. 10/10 highly recommend!

Best of the best! Anyone interested in having a professional stylist, this is the place to come. Ayana is excellent at her craft! She takes care of the person as well as your hair. She uses the best products on your hair and helps you to maintain it. The Blending Laboratory is clean and covid safe. The decor is lively and colorful with a portrait of homage to her family, an awesome addition to the beauty of this establishment. I appreciated the care and respect I received here! I can't see going anywhere else, I'm hooked! 💯💥

It’s obvious that previous reviews are from her family and friends because she is the worst hairstylist I’ve ever been to in my life. I did not get what I asked for so I was given a discount instead. However, I would have much rather paid someone full price to do the style I actually wanted for my daughter’s graduation ceremony. If something was unclear she should have asked to see a picture or simply said “sorry but I don’t know how to do that style.” The parts in my daughter’s head are all slanted, crooked, and uneven. I never saw such sloppy work from a “professional” before. I thought that I would have an awesome experience because Ayana a.k.a “Quoia” is the owner but I was wrong. It’s also obvious that she does not like styling children’s hair and lacks patience (hence why my daughter’s hair looked the way it did). When my daughter was crying she pretended to hand me a tissue for her and purposely let the tissue fall into my already in distress child’s lap out of frustration. I tried to compromise with Ayana by telling her an easy way that she could fix the style to my liking. Ayana said that she knew how to do what I was asking for but did not feel like doing it because my daughter was crying. My daughter is not the problem she’s been going to the hair salon for 3 years and other stylists have done amazing work on her head. I was going to let Ayana style my hair had she done a good job with my daughter but it’s safe to say that I will never go back to that place again or recommend someone else go there. She should be lucky that my child was sitting in that chair and I did not want to scare my baby by acting a fool. Sometimes it’s worth it to travel to that “old stylist” to get good results from someone who actually has a passion for their craft.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this hair salon and it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff, setting the tone for an amazing visit. What really made this salon stand out was the incredible stylist Ayana, tha I had the pleasure of working with. From the initial consultation, it was clear that she had a wealth of knowledge and expertise in her field. She took the time to listen attentively to my desires and concerns, and then offered valuable suggestions and recommendations based on my hair type. Throughout the entire process, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. Her skill and precision were evident. The end result exceeded all my expectations! I walked out of the salon feeling like a brand new person, completely in love with my hair. I constantly receive compliments from family, friends, and strangers. Ayana was extremely friendly and accommodating, offering beverages and making sure I was well taken care of throughout the entire process. Overall, I cannot recommend this salon and stylist enough. Everything from the welcoming atmosphere to the incredible service and expertise provided by the stylist was outstanding.

Ayana has been braiding my daughter's hair for years and I have nothing but good feedback! She is prompt, professional and very talented. If you try the The Blending Laboratory you won't be disappointed.

The atmosphere and vibes in this shop are great. Great customer service is amazing, I get a great feeling when I’m in the shop. If you haven’t been I would strongly recommend. My go to hairstylist is Ayana, when you stop by give her a chance. Keep up the great worker you guys. Sky is the limit!

Black owned. Wonderful quality service. Comfortable environment. I’ve been using the stylists here for a few years so when they opened their own place I followed them. They both do it all. Morgan is my main stylist and colorist.

Its a fun, friendly salon run by two young, energetic Black women. They love doing hair and it shows. Morgan is the fast braider I’ve ever seen and she has an amazing talent for coloring.
