At first wasn’t sure about this place service was slow had to go up to bar but then got really good drinks and service up there cheap drinks couple appetizers at a good price. Fried dumplings were amazing .

Tried The Blind Pig based on a suggestion from a friend and was not disappointed. For me the music was way too loud so we stepped out to the the patio to eat. We ordered the Mac N Cheese Melt and the Carolina BBQ Chicken Sandwich. We were greeted by Brandon and he was cheerful and helpful as he took our order. He delivered our food to us out in the patio pretty quickly. The food was was hot, the seasoned fries were very tasty, and the Carolina Sauce held its own against the mustard based bbq sauces I’ve had in the Southeast U.S. The Mac N Cheese Melt was also tasty, perfectly grilled to a golden brown. Food was priced comparatively well to other restaurants for the serving sizes. I’ll head back to give other menu items a try and see if they stand up to todays meal. I’d recommend give this place a try.

Google
I think it's a nice place and food ain't bad. It is not busy during the day on a weekday compared to trying to show up on a weekend night to a long line of college students. Music ain't too loud during the week, just the weekends lol. I would recommend they switch the seats at the bar though.. those bike seats are not very comfortable.

Google
The Blind Pig is BY FAR the best bar on campus!!! I love the atmosphere and everyone who works there is so nice! Not to mention the food is probably some of the most underrated bar food I’ve ever had. Seriously 10/10.

Cami Ward

Google
Bare bones interior, but don’t let that fool you. The food is fantastic! A mix of locals and college students make for an interesting atmosphere. Staff is friendly and attentive. The aroma alone is enough to make you a fan. Good selection of beer as well. A little out of the way, but you won’t be disappointed.

Google
I got 1 of each taco, and each are great! The Fish taco I'd have to say was my favorite by far! Nice area to have a drink aswell, right in the heart of the University.. little hard to find but it's in between the 2 building. Park and walk.

Google
Such a fun atmosphere. The owners are very inviting and accommodating, staff is lovely and they make some amazing drinks and food. Perfect for a midday snack or a fun night out!!! If you’re lucky you’ll run into their bag dog who is the sweetest yellow Labrador.

Google
We heard this was a great place for cheap food so decided to give it a try before a home football game. The one star is a generous offering for what we encountered which was: nothing. We opened the door at 530 pm on a Saturday night to be greeted by a DJ dropping beats for a room full of, 4 people, no staff in sight, no one greeted us, or explained what was happening Was there menu service? Who knows? Was there a server or host? Maybe Was the DJ practicing for the local DJ contest? Probably We're not local so there's no chance to earn our business back and if asked we'd only recommend to introverted house dance music fans. Food could be good but we'll never know, and more importantly the establishment has lost the option to show us.

Yelp
We were on a road trip with our little dog and wanted to go see a little bit of Tucson and get a cocktail and a bite to eat. We called ahead to ask if our pup could come and he said yes. When we arrived, the owner was the only person in the place. He welcomed us and Lucy to come in as it was too cold to eat on the patio. The food was delicious and he even brought a large helping of shredded chicken for our pup. You can tell the owner takes pride in his establishment and he went above and beyond to take care of us.

Yelp
I had lunch here with a Meetup group recently. We sat outside, because there was extremely loud music inside. I had a Shredded S. Carolina Chicken Sandwich with waffle fries ($10). For a $1 upcharge, I got waffle sweet potato fries instead. The fries were good. The sandwich was OK but kind of bland. Service was OK. The price was very reasonable. I'm over 60 and this place is geared to college students. If you like to eat while a DJ plays very loud electronic music and sports are shown on giant TV screens, this might be your scene. Otherwise, sit outside or go elsewhere.

Yelp
I came for the drink but the food is outrageous. A local owned joint cooking up some major food. I love this place. Tacos are so faire

Yelp
Get more bathrooms this is horrible. Waiting 40 minutes to go to the bathroom is not okay. Unprofessional, especially if you acquired more space. Accommodate your guests, especially if it gets packed at night. Also stop letting UofA basketball team in. They need to be grinding and practicing more. They're making us lose. Going to pigs after a game is not the grindset they should have. After games they need to go to the court and ball up some more until they dunk 47 times in a row. Because I can and Kobe can. Also they short as hell. Get taller or sum. ‍‍‍

Yelp
The food was OK at best. This IS NOT a BBQ joint. They "braise" their brisket. Had a hard time getting in on a Thursday, but I guess if it's a college bat cool. Don't go for a meal.

Todd R.

Yelp
We had table service at the Blind Pig and had an absolute blast! This place is the perfect combo of club, food and a great crowd! The management was great to work with and they made it easy for our group to focus on the fun! Until next time.....

Yelp
I came here with my son who goes to U of AZ for a late lunch.....So much fun. The atmosphere kept getting more and more festive and it does turn into a bar scene at night. This is awesome. The food was decent. I liked the Mac n Cheese and my son says he eats here like 2x a week. Absolutely love that there are TV's everywhere. I can only imagine how much fun this place is on game days. Our server was very sweet and the bartender on duty was amazing and attentive. The bathroom was clean ( kinda shocked seeing that bc it's a college place. lol) and our experience was fun and I'd do it again. Bravo to the Pig.

Yelp
I knew it was a bad sign when my dining companion requested a margarita and the girl behind the register asked, "what's in that?" Never the less we plunged ahead (sans margarita). The menu sounded fantastic, so we ordered a few appetizers, plus a pork bowl. We did order and pay separately, but within moments of each other. However, her food arrived nearly ten minutes before mine. I love fried cauliflower, and have eaten it at numerous restaurants. This was the first time I encountered it heavily battered, and that did it no favors. It was heavy, greasy, and flavorless. The shishito peppers were even sadder- those too were battered and fried within an inch of their lives, then drenched in cheese. We eat had one bit and pushed them aside. I wasn't aware it was possible to ruin chili cheese fries, but they managed to: flavorless chili over limp fries and cooled by a poorly executed green chili "salsa." The pork bowl was the least offensive item we ordered. It was forgettable but edible. We won't be back.

Yelp
I usually never review places but this time im disappointed, the staff was very rude and judgmental, as soon as they saw my passport and noticed it wasn't from the us, their attitude changed towards me. Staring at me assuming I wasn't going to tip or something lol idk , im not sure i Immediately paid and left, but I was not comfortable at all. Don't asume! Or roll your eyes at your customers!

Josh N.

Yelp
Amazing service. The pho is one of the best in Tucson. Would highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
shortaged me on change. Honestly to expensive for the u of a, there are way better bars to go to.

Yelp
A small restaurant on University Blvd. Order at the counter and take your food to the table. They have indoor seating available, with a long community table, or some individual tables. There is also outdoor seating available. I got the fish tacos. They were good. The only thing is they were only warm and did not have that hot "fresh" made taste. I also got water from the soda machine and the water button would not turn off. It kept pouring out of the machine. I told the girl behind the counter and she just explained that it will eventually turn off. Seemingly not concerned that is stays on for about 45 seconds making people feel like they broke the machine. The food came out fast. It is a good place for the lunch hour.

Yelp
I was walking along university Ave with a friend trying to decide where to eat for lunch when we saw a chalkboard sign for The Blind Pig which read "better than the fix mac n cheese" so of course we swerved down the alley to find out next meal. I thought perhaps they were closed for the dark exterior but nope, it's just dark inside, like a moody bar where people drink their feelings away mixed with a frat house. Apposing the bar is self seating with UofA flags on the metal wall and a tv airing sports games. I sat down and took a moment to look over the menu. I had to try the mac and cheese (hold the bacon), and sticking a vegetarian lunch I chose another side, the fried peppers. As soon as I snapped a yelp photo I dived in. The mac and cheese was visibly dry and completely lacking a saucy element, so I topped the dish with house made bbq sauce which brought a nice sweetness. The fried peppers were tasty but too oily to eat the entire serving myself. Also the peppers had zero spice which may please some but disappointed me. Overall The Blind Pig has a nice vibe complete with a vintage arcade in the corner, but overall the food lacked inspiration and quality.

Yelp
Worst place. Worst service. Got a drink poor on my and hit. Hold the manager he just smiled at laughed. Disgusting. Disrespectful all around. I'm appalled they still get customers. Traumatizing experience and it's the bars fault.

Yelp
We visited the Blind Pig on. Saturday afternoon. It was very pleasant atmosphere for a late lunch. My wife and I ordered the fried cauliflower, the coleslaw, the pulled pork tacos, and the pull brisket sandwich. Over all the food was well cooked. The cauliflower was breaded and fried. The cauliflower was very firm. On the other hand the Cole slaw had a lot of mayonnaise and was very creamy. The pulled pork tacos had tasty pork. However there was a slightly bitter taste. On the other hand the pulled brisket sandwich was tasty. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere is good. We rated the restaurant 4 stars due to the slightly bitter taste for the tacos as well as the very creamy Cole Slaw.

Yelp
The food is adequate to blah. I love a Cornish hen, but this tasted more like Indian spice rub than barbecue, which also meant it was very dry as was the accompanying rice and veggies, which were carrots and peas, blah. My wife's pulled brisket sandwich was a bit better, but not noteworthy. The mac and cheese was, however, quite good. During the COVID crisis, they are doing their best to keep the place clear and limit contact, which is a plus.

Yelp
Chicken wings were sort of like chicken tenders. The ribs were really overcooked. Cornbread was good. Won't go back.

Yelp
BEST COLLEGE BAR IN TUCSON!!! When visiting Tucson, you have to visit the Blind Pig! Great service, great college atmosphere, outrageous burgers! Great beer selection as well as mixed drinks which go great with their melt in your mouth Mozarella sticks! For a true college experience, you have to visit this bar. Consistently good every time!!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. My first instinct was to leave because there was no one else in the restaurant but we had already paid $6 for parking and were determined. Food was ok. The pretzel bun for the Brisket sandwich was actually really good...but it was cold. A bbq sandwich bun IMO shouldn't be served cold. The macaroni and cheese was a little too dry and plain No real brewed sweet tea...come on...BBQ and sweet tea go hand in hand, if you don't have sweet tea and you're claiming to be a bbq joint...YOU'RE NOT ‍ sorry The corn bread was the best part of the meal. $47 for 3 entrees, 2 cornbreads, and 1 soda...we won't go back. There are too many BBQ places in town to eat bland or boring BBQ

Lauren S.

Yelp
Terrible. Was there 11pm on a friday night, waited 30 minutes for to get in and 30 to use the bathroom. After using the bathroom one of the female employees shoved me for going the wrong way trying to get out. I was the only person in the area and was not intoxicated. She didn't use any words to say "wrong way," just shoved me with force and walked away. Guy checking ID's lets in underage kids

Mike P.

Yelp
Great food! Fish tacos and pollack sandwich are awesome and the mac-n-cheese is delicious, a meal in itself. Good beer selection but only one white wine. College spot, I guess but worth seeking out for the food and great service.

Yelp
Despite the terrible reviews, I tried the The Blind Pig out. And I was pleasantly surprised. I could see that the staff wasn't 100% comfortable with the technology, but the service was great. I wasn't quite sure what to get, but the gentleman at the counter made some great suggestions. The seating is a bit awkward when it's crowded, as there's a center long table for people to sit at, but we went at a great time with little excitement. I would go again and try out more! Thank you!

Yelp
Fast & Friendly service. Great drink selection. We ordered mozzarella sticks and Mac and cheese, both were great.

Thomas B.

Yelp
We did a take-out order from the blind pig. Had a hard time finding the restaurant. Assorted tacos were just OK. The assorted vegetables were horrible. The pulled pork was just OK and the side order of sweet potato fries were soft and cold. The other entrée was some sort of braise beef and there was more rice than anything else in it and it was canned peas If you're desperate I suppose you would go there but there are a lot of other choice is nearby that are far better choices and worth the price.
google avatar

Brenda P.

Yelp
I really like the environment it's a little bit away from most of the bars the price is really good but you have to like barbecue if you're going to go there

Alex M.

Yelp
My friend was using the bathroom and they pushed him to the ground (mind he was completely sober) and dragged him out. And while I was trying to tell the security guards he was completely fine and sober they continued to kick me out (while sober). We both didn't say anything to anyone at all. While we were waiting for the bathroom we also had 19 year olds tell us how they were let in and got served drinks with theirs fake ID's. Do not go to this place, their staff tries to start fights and let underage girls in every time.
google avatar

Taylor H.

Yelp
It was gross. I shared a pulled pork sandwich and the notable Mac n cheese and was dissatisfied by both. I thought you can't go wrong with Mac n cheese especially a loaded one, but there was no flavor!
google avatar

Kevin K.

Yelp
I got the brisket tacos and Mac and cheeese. They were both very bland tasting. The Mac and cheese tasted like plain macaroni with crappy bacon bits on top. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries and I was sad to find out the best tasting thing I had was the fries. Do yourself a favor and go to a restaurant downtown instead. Won't be coming back to the blind pig.

Corey S.

Yelp
There must be a blind pig working there because I waited for 10 minutes before someone came out from the back after they watched me walk into the restaurant. Once my mac and cheese came out it was plain noodles with Mexican cheeses cheese on top that wasn't even melted. They also brought out an order for another couple at the same time that said they had been waiting for 30 for their food and it just happened to come out at the same time leading us to believe they didn't even start cooking the other order until my order went in.
google avatar

Bart C.

Yelp
I've ordered from here before and it's great food. However, I really feel the need to talk about customer service. I ordered again tonight through Grubhub. I was notified that my order was delayed, no big deal. What I DIDNT expect was a call from the restaurant saying my order has been completed for "quite some time but Grubhub hasn't assigned a driver and we apologize for your wait". Ok, if that isn't going above and beyond for customer service, I don't know what is! Awesome folks and great food. You got my vote Blind Pig! Go eat Blind Pig folks. You're appreciated there!

J David H.

Yelp
Super poor service. Kitchen overwhelmed. Wait time for food exceeding 30 minutes. Good coming out cold. Good is good enough. Must be a bad day.
google avatar

Olmasterninjacassie ..

Yelp
I ordered from here off of Uber Eats, very excited to try everything. All of the menu items seemed delicious so it was hard to choose. I had ordered the dragon noodles with beef brisket, the pork bowl and the chicken katsu. When the food arrived I was pleased by the fact that it was piping hot, I hate cold food. So I dug in and was incredibly disappointed. The dragon noodles were by far the worst thing I ordered. Completely inedible, bland yet somehow tasted terrible. The noodles were limp and soggy and the beef was dry. Awful, absolutely awful. The pork bowl was also bland and the chicken katsu seemed like it was just a frozen chicken patty. Overall, I'm sad that it didn't taste great. I was really hoping for the best. I probably won't order from them again.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I came into the Blind Pig before a UA Football Game. The retsuarant is appointed nicely with contemporary themes. Brandon (pictured in their photos) was helpful in making a selection. This review, however is not about decor, but about value for your money. We ordered a full rack of ribs and a couple of beers. When the food came out we were taken aback. What TBP considers a full rack of ribs for $24 is what most BBQ places (Brushfire Grill, Dickeys) would consider as a half-rack. We questioned Brandon immediately and told him that there was no way that this was a full rack. Brandon was sure that this was a full-rack. We requested more food for our money and Brandon went back to the kitchen. After a few more minutes I took the half rack up to the counter and intended to get our money back. After more discussion with Brandon he informed that another rack of ribs and more fries (than the 5-6 that came with the order would be brought out. We sat for a few more minutes and Brandon came out with a respectable order of ries and another half rack. Brandon indicated that he was working to satisfy us, and we talked about the food. Brandon indicated that what we got was a full rack of ribs according to the store policy and that he was stretching that policy. I do think Brandon was trying to follow his rules, which means the problem lies at management. I have attached a picture of what we initially received and a picture of the restaurants promotional card, showing a different rack of ribs. Now customers who ordered sandwiches seemed satisfied with their meal. The food: The ribs are not smoked BBQ ribs like you would find at Brushfire. They are prepared using differently. In a previous review the owner describes their process. The ribs were good; a different taste, but good. Would I try TBP again, IDK, but not because the food was bad.

Trina W.

Yelp
Definitely the worst ribs I have had in Tucson so far. Maybe the other things on the menu are better. The BBQ sauce though was by far the worst part, it would of been yummier if I brought a bottle of sweet baby rays with me. The sauce was sweet.bitter, sour, savory ANYTHING. It was flavorless. I wish The Fix was still there. GO TO SMOKY MOS if you want the BEST BBQ in ARIZONA!
google avatar

Tim H.

Yelp
Quite place. They're meats are well prepared and tasty. They're occasionally bombarded by students. Fair selection of beer on tap and a very basic selection of spirits.

Jen L.

Yelp
I was SO excited to try this place, as I've been jonesing for a bbq joint near the U of A since Red's left. I was really disappointed by my meal today. In hindsight I should have known there might be a problem because I've never smelled bbq in the air when I was nearby. I chose the half rack of beef ribs with a side of jambalaya rice, total came to $20.65 and got it as takeout. The meal came with a few waffle cut fries and a small coleslaw. The coleslaw and fries were the highlight. I thought jambalaya would mean there was some sort of spice or flavoring or maybe even pieces of sausage. Instead it was just bland red rice on a bed of greens. It was lacking all flavor; it wasn't flavored or salted at all. Near the soda station they have 2 sauces in squeeze bottles - spicy bbq and char sui. I tried both and took a few to-go containers of the spicy bbq. The sauce was great and I was hopeful! Unfortunately, the ribs are cooked with the slightly sweet char sui sauce and taste like Korean bbq ribs. They weren't tender and the taste was not what I expected. I ate what meat I could get off the bones and tossed the rest. The description of their ribs says "mouth watering beef back ribs, spice rubbed, and slowly braised". No mention of the Korean flavoring. I wish I could write a better review, as I live one block away and would have been here all the time if it was legit bbq. My search for good bbq continues. Next stop, Smokey Mo's on 1st & Glenn. I stand corrected. - the owner responded to my review and advised the spice was Cantonese, not Korean. In either case, I would have liked to know that. He also mentions 'expediting' my order, which was not requested. Since the meats are reportedly braised (doesn't that mean slowly stewed?), I'm not sure what needed to be expedited.

Yelp
A promising start. Fundamentals are good -- good menu, good layout, good location. Staff needs a LOT more training, but it's their first couple of weeks in action... I hope they get it together. I've eaten here twice, experienced reasonable wait times, and enjoyed the food both times. I have some specific criticisms that I'll send privately to the owner, and I trust we'll see improvement. Welcome to Main Gate Square!

Tracey H.

Yelp
Nicole was our server yesterday, the presentation of our salads was beautifully arranged. I had the arugula salad, which was a little bitter but the candied walnuts were to die for. OMG! Fabulous! The Onion rings were perfect as was the service. Thank you.

Abby M.

Yelp
the little college boy at the door is disrespectful and rude. He tried to take my license from me because I was upset he was letting in people who were his friends (cutting the line) while my family had been waiting for 30 minutes. He proceeded to snatch my license out of my hand and put it in his back pocket, while I was visiting my sister for family weekend...keep in mind i am 23 years old. I had a flight 3 days after, so I literally had to threaten him with calling the police to give me my ID back. Not to mention, my sister pointed out the bar was full of underage drinkers. Extremely irresponsible and rude, we will never give money to this organization again.

CK H.

Yelp
We just had dinner here for the 1st time. His crispy chicken sandwich with waffle fries was "the best fried chicken sandwich he'd ever had"! It was hot until the last bite. My BBQ bowl/trough was good. For my taste it was very vinegar-y & acidic. A bit too sharp for me, but much preferred over a sickly sweet BBQ Sauce. The portion of the BBQ bowl was huge, so I'll have some for lunch tomorrow. It seems to be paleo/keto friendly-basically beef & greens. Good selection of beers on tap too. We will return if in the area.

Yelp
Great service, food comes out fast and good drink selection. Offers white claws, gluten free options and stays open late. Great for students close to campus

Cassandra Y.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Great environment. Great prices. The onion rings and rice slapped !

Huong D.

Yelp
So weird tastes. They put cheddar into chicken noodle soup and pepper into sweet potato fries. Not my taste.
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty food! I ordered the brisket and rice & loved it! Onion rings had a great taste! Great service & great taste of music! Would come back again!

Yelp
Always enjoy the fun vibe and friendly staff, and the food is always great. But today I had the fried dumplings and they are out of this world good!

Ashley M.

Yelp
Last night my friends and I went to Blind Pig to enjoy a nice drink on our Thursday evening. The manager seemed very heated while we were there and insisted only after being seated for 10 minutes that he needed to search our bags. We were so confused why he needed to do this, but complied because we knew he was authority in this situation. He found a flask in my friends bag after rummaging through her personal items and grabbed the flask, walked to the back, and emptied it, finally throwing it back on to our table. Last I checked this has never been a problem to bring a flask out when the bars charge about $12 a drink. Awful experience, and awful customer service, so unprofessional. As a large group of girls we all felt the need to comply, but this was embarrassing and I hope no other women ever have to go through something like this.
google avatar

Thomas R.

Yelp
Tucked in behind chipotle, very friendly staff, good selection, and fantastic food. Definitely returning! Very tastefully decorated and doesn't appear they spared any expense setting this little hidden gem up! Do yourself a favor, stop in and grab some bbq.

Nick B.

Yelp
The food here is extremely tasty. I love the atmosphere in here. There is extreme attention to detail everywhere along with great music. The food is tasty and unique to anything else on University Blvd. The menu is full of great items that make it hard to decide what you want. This is the restaurant we needed in Tucson!

Yelp
After visiting U of A, found this little place, what a great atmosphere, good food..............
