The staff was polite and awesome. We forgot some things there, and they held it at the desk for us to make the 2.5-hour trip back. The price was good and the room was clean. There was some mildew on the ceiling above the shower because of not having a vent. The lobby is cool. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. Will probably stay here again as we're in the Cincinnati area a few times a year for concerts or sports events. It gets you away from downtown Cincinnati, which is a bit sketchy anymore. Thank you, staff, for your kindness and good will.

Stayed here during our visit to town for a softball tournament. Our room was big. Had a funky retro vibe to it. Great view of an empty parking lot. But every time we flushed our toilet, toilet water would seep up through the tiles and make the floor wet. GROSS. Thought it was a one time thing and maybe our hands had dripped on the floor after washing but no, a follow up flush confirmed it was the toilet leaking all over the bathroom. The woman working the front desk was very helpful and able to move us to a different room for the night, thankfully. Same style room, less toilet water on the floor. Breakfast buffet was fine, grab and go kinda deal for us. Lobby was easy for us to sit and hang out with other teammates that were staying in the same hotel. Nice beer/snack selection off the lobby. It was ok at best. Location was ok, couple of restaurants around. I'd pick something else next time for sure.

This hotel was unique for sure, I truly felt like they’re trying to build it up & I really felt appreciated. The rooms need more vents, it got dingy quick with the heat, just some sort of ventilation system. The front desk staff was wonderful, super friendly and attentive. They provide breakfast and have a coffee machine 24/7. I didn’t feel unsafe at all and they kept the premises clean.

I was part of a larger group, and it was on a very busy week so I will caveat with that but when I arrived, the room had a broken jacuzzi tub, no kuerig, the bed was covered in dead gnats and the room was just generally in disrepair and dirty. After I told the single worker about the gnats, she did get me new bedding and apologized with free items from the convenience vending machines but overall I would say this hotel is run down and not worth it if anything else can be booked. The pool is small, the hotel was VERY humid with water condensing running down the walls in the lobby areas, but one positive was that the air conditioner worked well in the room. THERE IS NO BAR! They showed pictures of one, but it has been closed since covid and never reopened.

Very nice! Came in for wedding. The beds were really comfy The room set up was perfect. You had doors between the living room and bedroom and then you had doors between the bathroom and toilet room and they were people talking in the hallway because it was a wedding party and were in the doors were closed. You could not hear them so it was a very quiet night. Very nice all around. We’ll stay here here again. We have family in this area also! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️….and a great breakfast spread😋

Google
This was our first time in Cincinnati so I looked at the reviews to pick the hotel and I seen a wonderful review before us so I picked this one it did not disappoint this is one of the better hotels I have stayed with I love how clean the place is as soon as my husband and I walked in the door we could smell the cleanliness it was quiet easy to find the only issue we had was no remote in the room but we went to the front desk and got one. The breakfast was wonderful and the special coffee machine that makes espressos a lattes was definitely a perk keep up the great work on this hotel we need more like it in the Choice Hotel family

Google
Wonderful front desk staff - friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was spacious and nicely laid out. Negatives for the room: tipped curtains so that there was no privacy without pulling the drapes which blocked all natural light; very poor drainage in the bathroom sink; poor lighting at the bathroom mirror; no light over the small kotchenette; no room safe. We appreciated the small fridge and microwave in the room. We felt the included breakfast could be better. Monday was just a continental breakfast (plus a waffle iron), with a poor selection of muffins and no bread. Tuesday 2 types of omelettes were added - cheese, and vegetable - and sausages. Wednesday, there was finally bread added - both white and brown - but no butter, just peanut butter and jam. We were looking forward to using the fitness center but it was much smaller and not as well equipped as it had appeared in the photos. Unfortunately, I got a lot of bites from in the room. I don't know what they were from. Some were small red dots and others were just small itchy bumps. Nee ones showed up every day. Overall, it's a great hotel to stay if you go out to have breakfast somewhere else.

We stayed after my husband had surgery bc he had to go back to the doctor the next morning. We could have not asked for a better experience. The front desk staff went above and beyond service, even the cleaning staff was polite and asked if we needed anything. The room was extra clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
The theme and atmosphere was nice - funky art, stylish lobby area - and the staff were very friendly. The room was fine, but I'm not sure it lived up to the description of "boutique hotel." It was perfectly adequate for a place to sleep, however. The breakfast selection was very nice, including some great hot options, including omelettes, french toast, and more. Parking is available in front and in back of the hotel, with a couple of EV chargers available out front for hotel guests, which is a nice touch.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and nice accomodating staff. It was fun riding in the glass elevator to our third floor room. This was a first vacation for my oldest daughter and I. We shared a double queen suite. It was a reasonably priced room with great amenities like the Keurig. We brought some of our own K Cups. We went for a dip in the outdoor pool but didn't say long since the water was cold. The area around the pool need some clean up and updates. The lobby area was very nice and so cool with the blue light illuminating under the table. Would recommend to others and would stay here again.

Yelp
The guy at the front desk was not considerate when I told him I am homeless & had to color my hair. He sd I would be charged $15 per towel! I only chose this hotel because the Liv Inn rates were high ths weekend. He wouldn't even make an exception. He only cared about the cost of the towels. Not customer service! Now my account will be overdrawn over some replacement towels. It's obvious they really need the money..

Yelp
This is easily the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Mold and filth everywhere. The toilet doesn't flush. Lights are burnt out, door doesn't close easily, blood stains on random stuff. There is a smell that I can't describe and birds are nested in the air conditioner and it sounds insane. It's almost funny at this point and I look forward to telling this story when I get home.

Yelp
The Blu Hotel Ash Cincinnati fraudulently charged my credit card for $199.93. They are refusing to refund it. The lady at the front desk Ayesha is a total disrespectful smart ass.

Jeanne K.

Yelp
Sub-par! Only rooms available were old meeting rooms made into rooms by putting a bed in it. Smells old. checked in late and had to call front desk on phone. She had obviously been sleeping. never again

Jack F.

Yelp
The outside of the hotel is sketchy. The rooms have been remodeled and were clean. This is not a "Boutique" hotel, so the rate is high for the accommodations. Breakfast was the typical frozen and heated eggs, sausage, and??. The little cinnamon rolls were tasty. I wouldn't return.

Yelp
Totally forgot to take pictures of the hotel, but I really liked this experience. The lobby has been updated to feel like a very modern chic hotel. I stayed in a King Suite with 2 person jacuzzi. The hotel was very clean and well kept, though showing a few signs of wear. The jacuzzi is a little small for 2, but the jets were very strong and it was relaxing. The kitchenette was perfect for reheating food or storing things in the mini fridge. There is also a very small gym. The only thing that was strange is check in is at 3PM and checkout is at 11AM, so just be sure to note that, but they were great about a late checkout.

Yelp
When I arrived at the hotel, the first issue was that the wrong room had been reserved; the first room I was put in was filthy, so they moved me to another one, which they made me check out. I looked around and thought it looked better than the first room, so I said okay later to discover it had bugs, so I took pictures. The manager says they called pest control, who said there were no bugs, but they haven't provided any documentation or a report to back up their claim. Despite the fact that I never even spent the night there, they refused my request for a refund of my money, which is absurd given that I made the staff aware of my concerns. I checked out the same day since I could no longer tolerate the bugs jumping on me from the bed. This was the first time in my entire life that I had ever stayed in a hotel, and it was a horrible experience. Even when I attempted to sit in the desk chair, I could feel something jumping on the bottom of my legs, possibly fleas. It was terrible. All of my clothes had to be washed. I put my belongings down when I initially checked in at the hotel because I didn't imagine a hotel, especially one that charges almost $100 per night, would have bugs. I had to leave the hotel several times, and each time I did, the bugs followed me on my clothing to my car this is before I realized they had bugs. While I was driving all night after I checked out I could feel them jumping on my legs. The following day, I parked my car for five hours during a portion of my trip; when I returned, my car's interior thermometer read 118 degrees. By chance, I happened to lift my basket when I returned to the car to load things when I discovered the dead bugs that had traveled with me from the hotel right there they died from the heat. This is not at all acceptable to me because I'm a really clean person. The same day I checked in to this hotel I checked out and drove through the night to my next destination; nevertheless, I had to stay awake for more than 24 hours before I could check into my next booked hotel, which, by the way, was excellent. There were no problems over my entire 10-day visit. The rooms at this hotel truly need to be upgraded, and getting rid of all the carpets should be their top priority because that would greatly reduce any fleas, bugs, or other pests that may be present. When I finally arrived at my destination, I chose a hotel without carpet. It was such a beautiful 10-day experience that I wish your hotel had been the same. Thank you for ruining the first day of my very first vacation. The owner is now trying to say it was lint if you look at my photos you will clearly see bugs with legs they are also trying to say they had pest team come out and say they had no bugs but when asked for proof they cant provide it.

Yelp
My husband and I were treated horribly!! I had my sister book a jacuzzi room as a surprise for my husband's birthday. She was to run the hot tub, decorate the room with balloons and rose petals, and then place the key inside my car while we were at a nearby restaurant. After she gave me the green light, we headed to the hotel. Once we arrived, we proceeded to the elevator as the hotel is rather small and you can see all the rooms just standing in the lobby. The associate working at the counter, Sahil, came out an asked if we needed anything and we replied "No, thanks". We continued to the elevator and he asked what room we were in, which I found EXTREMELY INVASIVE!! I travel often for work and I vacation frequently and I've NEVER been asked this by a front desk staff. Typically customers approach the desk if they are lost or have any questions, which we did not. I told him what room we were in and then he asked if my sister was coming back, which clearly ruined my husbands birthday surprise. My husband thought we were there for a completely different reason. This ruined everything and we felt that we were being discriminated against. I will not return nor recommend for business or pleasure trips. This was uncalled for and he should have minded his business. HORRIBLE TREATMENT!!

Yelp
Beautiful entrance and decor throughout the hotel. Spotless, I always clean when I'm staying in a hotel but you can tell as soon as you walk in this hotel is clean. It's quiet, the staff is lovely and so willing to assist you. The location is perfect. It's super low key, close to the highway and many restaurants and stores. I will definitely be staying again and I highly recommend.

Yelp
Hotel-reviewing is a tricky business, so I've broken this one down into sections: -Service: fantastic. I was greeted warmly upon check-in, given clear directions to my room, and informed about times for both breakfast and check-out. All the important stuff. -Room: BIG! The king bed was quite comfortable, there was a mini-fridge and microwave, as well as a table and chairs, couch, and desk for working. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. -Amenities: hit or miss. The wifi was excellent (and complimentary), but the fitness center left something to be desired. Although there were several cardio machines and a tv, the tv sound was broken so I could only guess what Chip and Joanna Gaines were saying as they silently transformed house after house as I sweated away on the elliptical. -Breakfast: probably my favorite part of my stay, due to the variety and thoughtfulness. Biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, juice, toast, muffins, almond milk (!!), and lots of coffee with many different choices of creamer. Totally made my day. Although it's not quite what I envisioned when described on their website as a boutique hotel, The Blu Hotel is lovely for what it is - a reasonably-priced, clean, friendly place to spend a night or two. And eat breakfast. Definitely eat breakfast.

Yelp
Look. Id like to start by saying i had originally enjoyed my stay. It was a nice and clean hotel. The issue arrived once my bank was charged 3 times for the 1 night $138 charge. My account is now $304 short from pre- authorized payments. I contacted the young lady who checked me in and was brushed off. The best i got was i can get ahold of my manager tomorrow. I sensed that she was not to excited i realized my account was over charged. No sense of urgency to maintain clientele and to insure my financial information is secured through the business.

Yelp
Stayed at the Blu for several days for a wedding. The hotel was newly renovated and looks great. The lobby is bright and colorful and with lots of comfortable seating; everything was clean and new. The bed was very comfortable. We had a king suite which was very spacious. There's a small pool in the back and a work out room. Hot breakfast was included and it was average (eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereals, etc.); however no variety day after day. If you want a quieter room, ask for one which doesn't face the lobby.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel this past weekend. Where do I start... How about the staff, RUDE especially the night manager. Our electricity went out on Saturday and when we asked about the status of it being turned back on the front desk told us that we had to wait for the manager to get to the hotel. After a couple of hours I went back to the front desk and asked about the status and once again she was very nasty once again. Sunday, the electricity still was out at check out. I called the hotel manager for a refund, not only did she refuse to give me a refund she blamed us for the power outage. I will say do not stay at this hotel..........

Yelp
Stayed here with my family for a baby shower over the weekend. The staff were incredibly accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious. I will be staying here when I come back to Cincinnati.

Yelp
The lobby is beautiful and the "restaurant" is really nice and clean. The rooms however, are very dated and dirty. Management seems to be slowly renovating the hotel and the rooms are pretty much last on the list. Overall the hotel was nicely priced and in a great central location.

Bert G.

Yelp
Just an okay experience. The hotel is poorly deigned with a massive lobby and most rooms near the lobby so if there is a lot of lobby noise you'll hear it (like the family reunion the weekend I was there - kids running in the lobby till late and people congregating). Also the toilet wasn't functionally properly and when I asked for someone to look into no one did. Rooms are fairly large. Hotel staff is okay. Location is okay.

Yelp
I loved my stay here. The rooms are so cozy and updated. I thoroughly enjoyed surrounding myself in pillows on my king bed. Bathrooms are kept so clean and nice. Will definitely keep this place in mind for my next business trip.

Damion S.

Yelp
2 stars mainly for the convenience of everything around us. The staff was nice and the breakfast was average. The hotel itself needed some updating. When we first walked into our room for the weekend we found blood on the wall and door of our bathroom. The refrigerator was also dirty on the outside. They came up and cleaned it and the lady was friendly, but still the rooms should be cleaned everyday. When going to a hotel you expect your hotel to be clean and have a clean environment. Seeing the things we did, it makes you question the cleanliness of everything else in the room. We also asked for clean sheets after finding what we did.

Yelp
This hotel was very odd but it was a nice stay. The place was just renovated and it's a nice addition the the hotel. To me it looked like this was a different hotel at one time. The room was a nice size for two double beds. To me I thought the beds were a little bit too small. There are three floors instead of four, and place seems a little too small. Our room was clean, and so was the lobby, the floor was sparkling clean. When we first checked in there were cookies to eat, and fresh coffee to drink with three different creamers to choose from. There really wasn't any parking in the front of the Blu hotel. If the parking lot was full you have to park in the back of the hotel. The lobby and the different floors have furniture and tables where you can work and see out to the lobby. I wouldn't recommend using the stairs, they are small, dark, and in its in the back of the hotel. In the room there was a Keurig with different pods to choose from. The price was very reasonable during the weekday.

Debra W.

Yelp
I stayed one night and was charged $228.00 which is over double what the normal rate is because the hotel was full. Needless to say, there was a family reunion taking place in the lobby until very late. The lobby is located in the center of the three story structure and the noise traveled. I listened to a couple argue and the profanity continued until 2:30 am. If they are going to allow parties to be held in the lobby they should forward guests who are not with the party and they certainly should not charge them that much. This is an older hotel with a makeover but it is far from luxurious. I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel and NOT have had to deal with the noise issue.

Chris R.

Yelp
We are Choice Platinum members with who have TWICE had reserved jacuzzi rooms given away upon check in. The first time we were told we never reserved a jacuzzi room, which is the only reason we book at this hotel....but that just seemed like an honest error on your part. We reserved a jacuzzi room for our daughters wedding night and upon arrival they were told the same thing!. When we called to ask why, we were told they asked to be moved to another room on the first floor....which is completely NOT TRUE, as they were clearly put in a room on the 2nd floor! That story changed two more times by the next day when Management realized they couldn't claim they had asked for a 1st floor room when they stayed on the 2nd floor. Bottom line, they were of NO help and inconsiderate to the fact it was a special, once in a lifetime night for our daughter and did ZERO to make things right....said we were lying. We will be Diamond members on our next stay and have NO reason or desire to get something for nothing! Needless to say, we WON'T be staying here again.
