"Blue Duck, the BYOB in a Northeast Philly strip mall that quickly gained a following and expanded, has closed. Joe Callahan and chef Kris Serviss opened the restaurant in 2014. They branched out into Center City a few years later with Blue Duck on Broad and Ugly Duckling. And it looks like all three eateries are now shuttered." - Rachel Vigoda

Love this place! I stopped in for brunch on Saturday and had a fantastic experience. Our server, Steph, was phenomenal. She went over specials of the day and ensured that we had a great meal. We started with the Blue Duck fries. They were PHENOMENAL! Definitely get them on every visit. I had the duck benedict and my friend had the chicken and waffles. Both were good. The chicken was nice and crispy but could have used more seasoning. The waffle was fluffy and delicious. The duck breast was tasty and went well with the cherry siracha sauce but I didn't like how the sauce tasted with the rest of the dish. It was taken off of our bill without me asking although they prepared it properly, it simply wasn't to my taste. Overall we had a great experience here. I def recommend it. (Oh and it's BYOB. Wish I had known to bring a bottle)

The Beast of Northeast (Philly) was bursting with flavors. The taste was very sweet and savory. This being my fist time here the waitress made it easy for me to decide what I wanted with here great suggestions.

5-Stars for a great experience! We went on Saturday night for dinner and it was kind of crowded; we were seated at the bar which was pretty neat and we got to watch them prepping our food. The food was seriously prepared to perfection. We'll be back!

Really great service. We didn’t reserve so they accommodated us quickly outside. Our server (I think her name was Maureen) was very nice and helpful and attended us frequently. I tried the “Frankenwaffle” which was AMAZING. My friend also had the chicken & waffles. Presentation was very good. Topped off with La Colombe coffee and I give it a 5/5. Would come here again.

Nice place with good service. I got the special Duck Salisbury steak which looked great when presented, but reminded me a little of gefilte fish and taste was ok. The sides served with the duck were fantastic though. The duck fries were delicious as well,

The blue duck fries (in the middle with the cheese on top) are a must. I know a lot of reviews say to get it, which might make people skeptical. But believe me and whatever they say about the fries. Blue duck fries can be a meal itself if you have a small appetite. There are some fries with more salt that others but its a seasoning no big deal. Now if you like me and need a little more. Sure order either the quack n cheese OR burger (I got smoked bbq pork). Ordering both is way too much. I thought I could handle it. Quack n cheese (green bowl) has portobello mushroom, scallion, dried cherries. Smoke bbq pork is served on potato bread. The salty from the fries goes well with the pickles. Happy with my choices. Left bloated. Part 2: Tried and tested again. Quake n cheese with fries is too much to handle. My family wanted to hand the burgers to me, no can do. Too filling.

Excellent food in northeast Philly! This hip little restaurant is in the heart of the northeast. Get the duck fries! Last time I visited I had the fried chicken with mac & cheese. Some of the best I've ever had.

The food is always so good, and the service is terrific. This is just a fantastic restaurant set in the Northeast.
