The Blue Fish Will Open First Fort Worth Location Later This Year - Eater Dallas

"The Blue Fish will open its first Fort Worth location at 2932 Crockett Street later this year. The award-winning restaurant, founded in Dallas in 1998, is known for its Japanese food, including rice bowls, bento boxes, and an infamous ahi tuna tower that is topped with snow crab, avocado, caviar, and wasabi cream sauce." - Brittanie Shey

We were able to walk right in on a Friday evening (early on, so not too crazy) and had some maxing sushi. I ordered the Volcano Roll, which is a California Roll smothered by baked scallops, and I couldn’t even finish it. It was DELICIOUS though, just a lot. I know how to only order it and nothing else. My friend ordered the soft shell crab tempura, salmon belly and crab stick sashimi, the rainbow roll, and Rock Manhattan roll. Don’t worry, there were plenty of leftovers for another meal. The fish was fresh and there was a lot of it — we will definitely be back!

Great food and even better service. Definitely our new favorite sushi restaurant. The food is amazing, enough so that my 8 year old clears off her plate every single time we stop by. The staff is super friendly they always make my daughter feel like a little celebrity.

I frequented The Blue Fish in Irving/Las Colinas and I missed it so much when I moved to Fort Worth. The Fort Worth location is just as amazing. Have a martini and some sushi for date night or with the girls. I love the volcano roll and ahi tower.

Pretty pretty good. I have always liked the location. Sushi rolls are standard.

Decided to stop in and try them out on a Saturday evening and wasn't disappointed! Our service was quick and attentive, the sushi was excellent and our drinks from the bar we're excellent. Definitely added to the rotation of regular stops for our party of 5. Volcano roll was delicious!

WOW! The sushi is 10/10, fresh, and absolutely delicious. On top of that Raymond our server was outstanding, went above and beyond to meet our needs. And even suggested a absolutely delicious dessert and wine combination. We will be coming back to The Blue Fish just to see Raymond!!

Food was good. But very disappointed in management and service. Group of 7. Ordered hot sake and it was warm not hot. When I brought this up to the server he apologized but made no effort to correct it. I did mention to him that is important when people order hot sake. Also, my husband told the server he wanted “fresh water eel” but by accident he put shrimp (the line down) on the order form. When the server brought shrimp to the table, we all told him we didn’t order shrimp that we had told him eel. Everyone at the table noted this as well. He brings back the order form and shows us our mistake. We took responsibility for the error but reminded him we had verbally said “eel”. Unfortunately, they made no effort to take it off but had no problem charging us also for eel when we had told them nevermind we would just eat the shrimp since it wasn’t optional. I am a business owner so I understand the importance of good service and communication and now understand why they are not busy especially when all surrounding restaurants are.

We’ve been waiting with great anticipation for this restaurant to open...due to COVID 19 it was, of course, delayed. We were planning on dinner at another favorite spot on Crocket Row when we noticed they were now open. We reviewed the menu outside, and thought, just another sushi place. We went to a one of our favorite restaurants and were told the wait was over 30 minutes so we decided to give the new place a try. Let me tell you...this was Devine intervention...the Sushi is fantastic. We were blown away with the flavors and quality of the fish. We ordered over 10 items and sampled a bit of each. The Kobe beef appetizer was fab. It’s a very fun presentation of cooking on a small hot stone. I’d be sold there, but let me assure you the quality and flavor was spot on. We had two different pot stickers and they were equally delicious. We love Sapporo beer after our time living in Japan. They serve this as well as some nice wines. We decided on a Pinot Noir which was yummy and was very reasonable. It was a great accompaniment for the sushi rolls we ordered. Did I mention, I think we ordered 10! We were so excited after the appetizers and the initial order that we decided to order a few more. You must give this new restaurant a try. The service was great and the location is awesome for walking and parking.
