What an amazing experience! I haven’t been here in years and my best friend decided to take me out to celebrate my birthday. Everyone was so welcoming and the food was AMAZING!! I can’t say enough… the manager even treated us to birthday shots!! The sushi was very good, I convinced my bestie to step outside her comfort zone and she enjoyed the Grandslam Roll. I got the Dragon Roll and it was delish! Definitely can’t beat great customer service and great food! P.S. ask for Erich when you come!! Thanks for having us!!

As of Monday, January 13, 2025 @ 7:37 PM, The Blue (Fish) Greenville officially shut down after 27 years. I worked here as a server for only a couple months but I will definitely miss the fun memories I had, the regular visitors I shared smiles and laughs with, and the food I got to try here. While working on my shift, I was able to experience the building being closed for the last time, along with saying my final goodbyes to my respectful staff team. When I heard words about us permanently closing, I thought it was a joke until hungry customers were walking in, only to be immediately evicted by staff saying we were out of business. It still feels surreal that it happened but I'll have to move on eventually like with everything in life. 🙏

We had the volcano, titan, and sharkbait. Shark bait was the best, followed by Titan, and last the volcano. The volcano's sauce had way too much mayonnaise. While the others just didn't taste right. Typically, I'm able to break it down more, but it just wasn't delicious depsite having plenty of fish. Blue Fish on Greenville used to be the spot in the early 2000s. I wondered what happened?

This place used to be amazing. We ordered from there nearly once a week Or at least a few times a month for about 12 years. New ownership what are you doing?! We’ve ordered from there three times now and it’s about 1/4 of the amount of fish that used to be in their sushi. This sashimi is now a thin little sliver. we wanted to keep loving it, but new Ownership has ruined it. If y’all go back to serving regular portions, we would be back but until then, peace out Sasa and Deep Sushi will be our go-to.

This place was very clean and was not very crowded making a perfect place to practice social distancing while going out. They had outdoor seating and required mask and temperature checks before being allowed to go in. The food was great and came out quick. However, the customer service was not that great, the servers where a bit rude.

Great flavors, variety of fishes and sauces, great presentation and roll construction. The ambiance is nice and the service is good to. Drinks were very tasty. Definitely coming back.

UPDATE: They comment a message saying please reach out so we can fix this and guess what! They don't reply or follow up.... TERRIBLE. We have been going to Blue Fish for years and now we aren’t sure what has happened with the management. The quality of the sushi and quality of service has gone incredibly down hill. The portions that used to be big bites of flavorful fish are now half the size and half as thick. This has happened the past 2 times we’ve eaten dinner there. The tuna tower, which is their signature dish is significantly smaller. If I didn’t know better, I would think they were serving the fish they had cut up for their January “all you can eat lunch special” and getting rid of it at dinner on customer paying full price (at their price increased menu)…NOT OK AND BORDERLINE SCAM! The service is also incredibly poor and our order was not put in correctly. We did not get ginger or wasabi with our food and had to ask twice. We were not brought our entire order, were brought out the bill before receiving the rest of our rolls and when we asked where our rolls were, he said he forgot to put them in and shrugged. After getting the tiny portion of very expensive shasimi and not getting our rolls, we left hungry. Very disappointed and unfortunately, don’t see a change anytime soon. They have taken a turn for the worst. We will no longer be eating at Blue Fish and SASA sushi will be our new location because clearly they care about quality of product and customer satisfaction.

121 Roll was amazing, but if you don’t like cream cheese it’s not for you. Shrimp Tempura was good, but soft for the palate. The dragon roll no comment; amazing. The rainbow roll was a wonderful choice for variety.
