The Blue Room

Excellent dinner here for a second time. I've ordered or sampled 5 entrees and they were all excellent. The service has always been personable and patient with questions. Small but quality local beer selection. I highly recommend the Crystal Valley Chicken.

Excellent service, and very accommodating of gluten free dining need (celiac). Retail price bottles of wine on Sunday was a pleasant surprise. Patio dining below ground level was a nice way to get out of the noise of Kendall. Food was quite good, but not stunning.

Nice place, nice atmosphere, nice service. One thing to suggest, though -- if you are coming for Sunday brunch, stay away from charlemagne omelet. I am not sure what gives it its very specific taste (pickled mustard seeds?) but it was difficult to finish it. It almost felt like eating French mustard by spoonful; I spent the rest of the day trying to get the taste out of my mouth.

I tried the bar menu here, which includes $2 pork or lamb ribs! I like that you can order per piece and try a lot more items. The lamb ribs were great though the pork was a little tough. The cocktail menu here looks promising but it was just ok, it's not quite as balanced. The draft beer menu is fairly small, though they have good choices by the bottle.

Love this place. Always try and go when I'm in town. Fantastic cocktails, creative. Great food, never disappointed. Happy to see they've recovered from the fire that closed it down a while and they haven't missed a step. Great ambiance too.

Walked out without ever being served. There were only a handful of people in there - perhaps the same number of groups as the number of people working there. I sat at the bar where several groups were "waiting for their groups to be seated" (remember, the place was largely empty). I waited patiently for someone to hand me a menu our offer a drink. Listened to a lengthy conversation by someone in the wait staff with a couple at the bar about cheese they were eating, during which there were several glances to me. The host came by and did something with the register and also ignored me. When the waitress walked away without acknowledging me I got up and left. I'm now enjoying a tasty craft beer at Cambridge Brewing Company served by friendly, knowledgeable staff. Won't be giving the Blue Room a second chance.

This is a great place for lunch and dinner, but especially for brunch, their food is amazing. My only complain is that it is not very family friendly, so if you have small children, I would wait until they are older (6 +) to go.

A great place to sit at the bar, have a great drink and wonderful small plates and a romantic conversation. Dinner is also worthi t. They are always willing to accomodate getting to the movies on time - an added plus.
