I had passed by the Blue Shrimp many times and we finally decided to to stop. Fortunately it did not disappoint. Our waiter was very helpful; he gave us so much information not just on the best menu options, but also the history of the area. The clam chowder was very creamy and meaty and the blue shrimp in garlic sauce were delectable. The appetizer order of fish tacos were enough to share and also very delicious. We will definitely return.

The Blue Shrimp in Puerto Vallarta is A+!! I’m always hesitant on visiting touristy restaurants. Most of them have high prices, lousy service and terrible food. This one actually has great food and outstanding service! They have everything from tacos to lobster tail to fish sticks. Not to mention the mixed drinks are top notch. It is right on the beach so the atmosphere is great. Miguel our waiter was excellent when it came to service. He was constantly checking on us and even provided a couple drinks on the house.

Absolutely worth a visit to this incredible restaurant. I have dined a over PVR from top end restaurants to basic and Blue Shrimp is the best of everything. I had an incredible lobster tail and filet wrapped in bacon with red wince sauce. Food was absolutely some of best I have had in town and the view is great, service was exceptional. Also my wife accidentally choked on her food and one of the wait staff was kind enough to save her life...I call that above and beyond service.

This was our second time here, the first time seeded better. The flavor/seasoning of the sea bass tasted almost burnt, the shrimp were a little tough - overcooked. The cocktails were bitter and left us wanting better. I will go somewhere else next time, since the quality has gone downhill.

Josaforth was our waiter & did a great job. Caesar salad was made at our table, and the shrimp fajitas were good, and we split the order. Flan with strawberries was good, too. Frozen margaritas were nice. Right on the beach with a cool breeze the whole time.

We decided to stop in late so it was pretty empty Our server was friendly and helpful with food and drink recommendations He even asked what music we wanted to play and played it for us I mentioned that we were celebrating birthdays and before we left they came out and sang Happy Birthday which was amazing i really wish I would have gotten his name but his service was AMAZING The restaurant decor was gorg The good came out pretty quick after we ordered The alcohol drinks were strong

Just go for it and order the Shrimp Boat! It was delish. The server brought out a plate of blue shrimp to show us before it was prepared. They were gigantic! Super fresh. The presentation was very fun ~ flames and all! The service was top-notch, very accommodating and engaging. Four adults shared the shrimp boat. Adding cocktails and a table-side prepared guacamole appetizer, we left satisfied but not too full to walk around old town. The bar area is a little dated, but still enjoyable - the ocean breeze is all you need anyway. Overall, highly recommend.

Wow! This place was so amazing. Our waiter was so nice. Our food was the best we had in Puerto Vallarta. We got the Peruvian ceviche, garlic shrimp, margs, sea bass and all I can say is YUM. Atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful with the view of the beach. Only complaint is they might have played a little too much Dua Lipa hah! :) we are from US and recommend.
