The 12 Best New Restaurants in Baltimore | Eater

"Inspired by Parisian bars where Hemingway or F. Scott Fitzgerald might have imbibed, this dimly lit cocktail haven above a Belgian beer hall is already seeing wait lists. Sit at the bar or at one of the communal tables lit by crystal chandeliers and sip on its literature-inspired boozy concoctions (many served with swank, hand-cut ice) while sharing plates of lamb meatballs or fried oyster and bacon skewers." - Ryan Detter

First time here and we really enjoyed our visit. The ambience it's self is so cozy and elegant. The bartender was very knowledgeable and the drinks were superb. The selected tapas were just enough to coat you tummy while consuming various creative cocktails. There was nice subtle jazz music playing that wasn't too loud and enough to enjoy conversations. Definitely a new go to spot.

Vibe/ambiance is sophisticated, calm and welcoming . Drinks were great and reasonably priced. Not a huge menu but drinks are their focus, my medium-well burger was still really good. Chocolate cake was a little disappointing (in price, size and taste), but that's not what I went there for, so not knocking off for that. Server Bob was really attentive and nice. Great place for a drink with friends, date, solo drink. I really liked this spot.

Bluebird is the best cocktail bar I've been to in Baltimore. 👏 From their house-carved ice and thoughtful menu to their charmingly endearing staff and fantastic ambiance, you would be remiss not to visit. I could go into detail about the drinks I've had here, but that would get very lengthy. Whether you go for the strong classics or prefer to taste zero hint of liquor, you'll be able to find multiple options that will suit your palate. If you're not sure what to get, just talk to the staff! They will guide you. 💁‍♀️🍸 ☝️ One thing to point out is that for how much effort they put into their ever-evolving recipes, the cocktails are more reasonably priced in comparison to other well-known establishments in the city. I honestly 💕 love 💕 this bar and really hope everyone who drinks alcohol takes time to visit at least once, though I am 100% sure they would happily accommodate someone who doesn't.

Had an Amazing experience at bluebird! Cocktails were some of the very best I’ve ever had. Very unique and high quality ingredients. The burger I had was outstanding too and I believe they use beef from a local farm. Service was exceptional too and my waiter helped me decide which cocktails would suit my taste preferences. My only complaint would be the lighting as it’s only candle lit with only natural lighting. But it goes with the vibe as an old reading room. Wish I lived closer as this would surely be one of my haunts.

Overall the speakeasy vibes were present, dark mysterious, and intimate feeling. There are more personal tables for reservations while bigger communal tables in the middle are first come first serve. Upstairs possess a delightful array of cocktails and a full food menu. Spirits are limited when it comes to whiskey but there is an interesting absinthe drip available for purchase. For the whiskey people there is another speakeasy located downstairs in the basement. The variety of rare whiskeys is amazing and the prices are just perfection. From Pappy, to EHT barrel proof, to rare Japanese whiskeys, they probably have it and a full bottle back to spare. Such a rare find. The three-cheese board was very filling for 4 people to share.

This place was amazing! I have to say David made our whole experience. Sit at the bar so you can watch them make drinks. And let the bartender be creative and make something rather than ordering off the menu. My cousin and I had three drinks each and each was different but just as good as the last! An absolute MUST do when visiting Baltimore!

Get there early on a weekend! If you don’t you can just hang on the lanai on swing😀. Up the stairs you go around a tight corner and a dark blue hallway, opening up into a great open space, long bar, nice couch seating along the edges, a fire place on the back wall, big long communal tables down the middle, and of course the bar. With a seasonal menu based off a book of poems, the drinks range from sweet and bubbly to strong and dark to creamy and fruity, really you can’t go wrong. Food menu sparse but not lacking as everything I have had has been spot on, from the hummus to the mozz to the beet salad all quite nice. A little on the pricey side, but I have been saving up for a couple years😉

A cool experience, beautiful bar, nice views of the City at night, a complicated and fascinating cocktail selection, all just dripping in atmosphere. It could easily be seen as fussy and taking itself too seriously, and you wouldn’t be wrong. The limited food selection is decent. One nice aspect is that they limit the crowd and that helps. We were out day-drinking on a Saturday and Bluebird killed that vibe but it is a kind of perfect place for an evening experience for light food and a few interesting g cocktails and amazing ice. They make all their ice and it’s cool.

Yelp
The Bluebird Cocktail Room is so cute I can't believe I haven't been here before! A gorgeous space, I loved the dark wooden tables and the community/casual -type seating. I love that the menu is like a story book with drink name as chapters, and you turn the pages to read the ingredients! Such a fun, creative touch and I hear the menu changes frequently so it's so cool that the names and illustrations must change as well! The person who took my order kindly helped me decide what drink to get, and it was a good choice! An interesting mix of carrot juice, ginger, gin, and various other ingredients that were unique but delicious together (and strong!)

Yelp
Was finally able to try out The Bluebird Cocktail room for my birthday, and definitely want to come back here! We had reservations and were seated quickly-- there was some bar seating and several tables that were open (probably because it was a Monday night). Our waiter was friendly and quick with our orders and drinks. We each tried different cocktails and while somewhat on the pricey side (I think they were each about $20), they were quite tasty! We also tried several of the appetizers (fries, white bean dip) prior to dinner, all were delicious. I personally got the burger for dinner, and it was seasoned and cooked well. The inside is really lovely, and I know there are other "rooms" or parts to the Bluebird that I want to try in the future! Parking was difficult to find, but that is pretty much everywhere in the area.

Yelp
I didn't know what I was expecting coming here but I was pleasantly surprised. The venue is dimly lit making for a cozy and intimate ambiance. It is so romantic and sexy. Perfect place for a date night. The food was enjoyable, and the drinks were even a bigger hit. I ordered rounds of the Old Fashioned (my usual go to) and it did not disappoint. Perfectly crafted and delicious. The waitstaff and hostess were very engaging and friendly. Shout out to the hostess who was so sweet in helping me find my way around when I first got to the venue. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that struck the perfect balance between great food, attentive service, and an intimate atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back next time I am in Baltimore.

Yelp
I came here for a date on a Thursday night. It wasn't packed but just the right amount of people. The vibe is very sultry and intimate. Dim lights, candles, books, and warm atmosphere. I was met by the hostess right away when I walked up. She was nice and seated me. The waiter came over right away and he poured my water and then made small talk about the menu. He was also nice!! He was very good at giving suggestions and he was very attentive. I ordered the meatballs and they were just okay. I didn't really taste much spice at all and they could have been a little more moist. But the tomato sauce was good and the ricotta at the bottom. We ordered a few drinks throughout our date. Old fashioned, three dots and a dash, fiery sleepy head, millionaires obsession, and a kiss your ass. My friend really enjoyed his old fashioned, he had about 2. I love the three dots and a dash, I had 2 of those also. I also really liked millionaires obsession. The fiery sleepy head was interesting but not bad. He finished it but he did not like the kiss your ass. When I tasted it, I didn't like it either. The after taste is not good. Of course everyone's tastebuds are different so try the drinks out for yourself. You will spend some money here just based of drink prices alone, of course depending on what you get. But it's a great vibe and experience!!

Yelp
Back in 2019, the Blue Bird cocktail room was like the best place to go in Baltimore for cocktails. There's been a lot of changes obviously with Covid so I recently went back (stopping going for a bit) and was really surprised to see food on the menu. I forgot to take pictures, but we ordered the mushroom toast which was really good and their french fries which are kind of like the skinny fries. I feel like Blue Bird is back on the up and up and with the trying times we are living in 2025, cocktails are definitely coming back. I got their last word which is my favorite iteration of any cocktail and it was pretty good. Their vibes remain the same. It's a cool LIBRARY dark feeling bar, and the bartenders were really nice. It was pretty slow when we went and it was a Thursday night. This is in Hamden along the avenue, and I will definitely go back and post more pictures later.

Yelp
This one of this places I'd had bookmarked for years and was so excited to try. We were seeing a show in the Green Room, so decided to do dinner and drinks upstairs in the Cocktail Room. It's bright and pretty and I loved it immediately. But that faded quickly, with the very relaxed, borderline apathetic service. I was getting ready to leave when we finally saw a server. It wasn't busy, either. Additionally, the chairs are super uncomfortable in both bars. This is increasingly common across the industry and I'm not sure why restaurants hate us. We also visited during a time when the menu was a bit lackluster. Going through photos, I saw interesting, fun dishes in both reviews and the online menu, but those weren't available during our visit. I had a burger, which was good. Drinks were fine. We did enjoy our absinthe service. The Green Room was small and tightly packed. We ordered the white bean dip to go with our drinks and it was meh. This entire place is a disappointment.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the place! Decoration, service and the cocktails was perfect. We met with the friends for couple of drinks before the dinner. Next time I wanna try bean dip for sure!

Yelp
What's not to like about a moody, intentional, sensory, sexy ambiance? Whether on a date night, out with friends, or solo, Bluebird is a direct YES. After dining in Hampden, I popped in for a quick cocktail and quickly remembered that every drink has a story. So, I went with my mood - The Mata Hari, because Sagittarius! This cocktail was well balanced, perfectly iced, and adorned with only the cutest delectable flower. 20/10, highly recommend. Any day that this spot is open is a good day.

Yelp
I came here on a Wednesday night. Get ready to walk up some stairs as you enter! I love the vibe of the place, super low light with a victorian kind of vibe. They played a mix of old and new school pop music, which confused me because I didn't feel like it matched the ambiance. Sitting at the bar was a good time, the bartenders were nice and personable. My wife enjoyed her burger and the fries were tasty shoestring type. With that, I was not a fan of my drink. Charging $15 for a non alcoholic beverage is just baffling. It was more expensive than the drink my wife got that had actual alcohol in it. My drink just appeared to be just a glass of nonalcoholic Mionetto. The hummus had a very weird combination of ingredients (raisins and peanuts?) and the bread was quite flavorless. Won't be getting that again. Id definitely say still check it out, but I would have to try some different menu items.

Yelp
Fabulous cocktail bar! First time visiting, and we decided to check it out for happy hour on Friday. Their happy hour window is pretty limited (as is the menu), but we got there exactly at 5 to make the most of it. There were just a handful of people at that time, but started filling up quickly. Service was fantastic! Esthetic is on point (moody and cozy). Unfortunately, several drinks on the menu were not available on the day we visited due to seasonal change, and apparently they change their menu every 2 months! I tried their cocktail of the week, which had a coffee-absinthe flavor profile. $10. It was good, but I felt that all the ice diluted the flavor. My husband tried one of their regular menu drinks (forget the name now) but it was beautifully presented and a delight to drink! The shishito peppers are are awesome and would highly recommend. We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I have been coming here for years for cocktails; however, I am just discovering the other sides of the menu beyond the burger and fries. Yesterday, I went with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised by the fried zucchini dish. It had a delicious crab medley underneath. While I thoroughly enjoyed it, crab wasn't mentioned anywhere in the description which is dangerous for allergy sufferers. The ambiance is always incredible. The service was a little slow and the food delivery was delayed due to there being only one chef that night. S/he did their best, but unfortunately, my friends and I received our cooked dishes long before my other friend received her steak tartare; however, the manager came to apologize, provided us with a free round of drinks, and adjusted our bill! We greatly appreciated that. It was a fabulous evening! I highly recommend this swanky cocktail lounge!

Yelp
We came here for brunch. Beautiful space!! I've been here before in the evening. Brunch is a different vibe. We had the biscuits as an appetizer and my God, they were divine!!! We asked for an additional order. Our server was patient. She gave great suggestions on drinks and food. The only reason we docked 1 star is because the menu online didn't coincide with the menu we were provided upon sitting down and I didn't really think the price point matched the value of the food we ate. The chef was able to make some accommodations for us. And we so very appreciate that. Bluebird is definitely going to give you that top tier quality service and elevated cocktails! It's a great date night situation in the evening or for a brunch date with bae or the homies. I'll definitely be back but but I don't think I'll be eating food.

Yelp
Stopped here a little after 9 for a cocktail after another event. I climbed a flight of stairs and followed a dark hallway to the upper level (Cocktail Room). Apparently there is also a lower level (Green Room) with sandwiches and appetizers-next time. A long and inviting bar area that was lit brighter than the rest of the dining area. High top and regular tables were available. A good list of Cocktail options. I tried "Temporary Madness" and unfortunately didn't like it. Maybe there was just too much going on between the Garlic Oil, mushroom bitters and olive brine to name a few. That said, I'm sure I could find a cocktail from the list (regular rotation) that I would like. Ordered the Bluebird Cheeseburger to go and to try based on positive reviews. Grass fed beef was tasty and didn't disappoint. Parmesan Fries were very good. Service was friendly. Solid spot for a cocktail and on the pricier side given the atmosphere. Will be back to check out the Green Room.

Yelp
Bluebird is one of the best cocktail bars I've been to in Baltimore! It screams elegance and class. The drinks are impeccably crafted and unique. The space is gorgeous and intimate. I love coming here for a date night or even a girls night. I also enjoy the space downstairs if it's busy upstairs. Overall, a 10/10!
google avatar

Yelp
Bluebird for the win! It's been quite some time since I've been here and I'm not exactly sure why that is. I stopped by on a Monday night and was greeted and seated immediately. Feeling a little peckish, I ordered the cheeseburger w/fries... and a side of meatballs. The food and cocktails did not disappoint. As expected, the drinks were expertly crafted and delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Service was top-notch - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Definitely add Bluebird to your list if you're in the area!

Yelp
Great drinks but perhaps just a tad overrated. Service was attentive but not overly so. I know the prices reflect ambiance too but still a bit steep. Not a regular spot for me but nice for special occasions and/or for bringing guests from out of town.

Yelp
I love a good speakeasy so I was excited to try this place out when it popped up in a search. I saved the visit to take a friend who was visiting one day. The plan was to stop in for 1-3 drinks and bounce to another place. I thought this would be in a basement or lower level but it's the opposite, it's upstairs. On the way, you pass some cute porch swings with heaters which would be awesome for a date night. Once upstairs, we waited at a velvet rope for someone to seat us. Before that happened, we were awestruck by how beautiful it was inside. It was much larger than I thought it would be but gorgeous nonetheless. After making eye contact with about 3 employees with not so much as a "we'll be right with you", I was a little annoyed but still determined. It was a bit full so I understood...somewhat. A staff member came over and guided us to a couple bar seats. The bartender sort of listened to us chatting about the menu to take our orders instead of the usual greeting. On one hand, the multitasking is impressive on the other, it removes the customer service I was seeking by someone simply saying "hi". The drinks were good but it never felt inviting enough for us to want to stay. Welp, I tried it.

Yelp
Pros: cool vibe, attentive servers, creative drinks Cons: in my opinion, a little too loud/busy This place is really spacious and the lighting is so ambient! My date and I sat on the edge where there are cushioned seats. The drinks are not too expensive which is a huge plus :) I got the boomerang (can't remember the details but it was either Campari or aperol), my date got the orbiting star. The boomerang was a little too bitter for my taste but overall still very smooth. This is only a personal con, as I'm sure some people like a livelier atmosphere: I felt it was a little too loud. If you're here with a date, it'll be hard to hear each other. I think this location is better suited for friends/groups. Overall, I liked it and will be back :)

Yelp
One of my must tries when I have people come visit me in Hampden. It's cozy, close, and a book lovers dream. One of my favorite things to do is post up at the bar, get a plate of Frites, and tell the bar tender what I like in a drink and get a custom cocktail made just for me. Every time I leave I leave inspired to create new drinks for myself and my loved ones. I leave needing a new bottle for my bar. And I leave with new memories. If you're looking for something even more cozy, their whisky room in the basement is dark, moody, and gives the ultimate speak easy vibes.

Yelp
My first bar visit this year. Food: I came here to try to hummus. The first time I had it - it was amazing. This time it was different. Instead of the typical hummus that made a black bean hummus. So it was good and so was the bread which by the way was dairy free (yay!) I personally like the original hummus I had here. I would love for them to bring that back. Smash burger, the burger was cooked well and the bun was so fresh. It came with a side of fries. It something I would certainly get again. Especially before having a hefty drink. Service was amazing, the bartenders are very friendly and informative. So while making drink I would get a brief narrative of what was in the drink. Lighting was very dim and your eyes will get used to it. But there are three floors the top floor the middle (green room) and the pub (bottom floor). I spent a bit of time at the top floor. There was a lot of people there and it was loud but a good vibe for sure. The pub had a speak easy vibe extremely dark and quiet. You can defiantly have a good convo down there. So this started my year off great. I wanna to come back and try the green room. One thing I will say is that if you order food from the pub they bring it just uncovered. I would rather have my food covered if it has to come outside in the cold to be delivered at least during the winter. Overall this was a lovely time. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
First time here, and I enjoyed the experience. Greeted by a bubbly hostess, who seemed to be happy to welcome customers and attempt to see us at preferred seats. The bar was full so we elected to sit at one of the lower tables. The room is romantically lit, and the decor is appropriately minimal. We just came for drinks but there are food options available. I usually go for a mocktail but since we were celebrating a birthday, I decided to order a drink. My boyfriend had the Obsession, and he like it. I got The Last Kiss, it was good but since I don't drink, it was strong lol, so my friend finished it! The waitress was appropriately attentive ! **Bathrooms were clean

Yelp
Super cute cocktail bar with speakeasy vibes. I've had it bookmarked for a while, so I'm glad I got to finally visit. Located in the Hampden area. Found parking right in front. It was also on a Sunday evening. The swings on the front porch gave it a nice touch. Dimmed lighting. Perfect for a date night. Might be harder for large groups, but maybe a smaller group would be fine. We made a reservation online. The menu is unique. Not many food options, but certainly enough for a light dinner. The drinks were good. Prices are not too bad. I enjoyed the drinks. The service was good. I can't wait to come back! I love that they use local distilleries. There's a separate whiskey bar on the lower level, but it wasn't open at the time. I'd like to check that out another time.

Yelp
Space is very limited. Couple sitting next to us at a corner setting took up both sides of the bench as well as their chair (only 2 people) leaving minimal space for the middle table (us) to leave a coat beside us. Corn bread was SUPER dry to be a dessert. Saving grace was the groups next to us moved so we moved over and the tequila martini!

Yelp
2'16'2023 A great friend of mine and I decided it was time for a girl's night out! Out of 3 places, this 1 made the cut. I must say it's a little difficult to find. It could just be my GPS. But let me help you guys out. This place is located upstairs in a building. We were looking at a level and even parked outside his place and walked away from it to realize we were actually at the place and had to look up. As soon as we took the hike up the steps trying to act like we didn't lose our breath completely, we were greeted by a very nice young individual who took us to our table. The table setting was so cute. Check out my pics! We were instantly greeted by our table person (Bob). For the most part, everything was smooth and calm. I was just a little lost for words and when I couldn't get a paper menu. The table had one menu, but my friend and I are not the same person, nor are we a couple, and I wanna see the menu at the same time as well. We made it work. Collectively, we ordered the following. Mushroom Toast - Soooo tasty. Pork Bellyv- Seasoned amazingly well. Hansel and Gretel - Smooth libation. The Water of Life - Pretty good drunk. Tempeh Burger - Well seasoned and delish. This place was so pretty. They had a huge chandelier's, a pretty bar, nice high tops, pretty dining tables, and cutesy décor all around. I look forward to reporting again.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. I loved everything about this place! Really good drinks and food, and dessert! The cocktail drinks were really good. I believe they are seasonal since they're made with local ingredients. The menu changes. If you get the absinthe, it's a show that's worth it! Service was impeccable. Experienced no issues. Very nice decor too.

Yelp
Went for late night drinks and small bites with a few friends. Overall great experience and service. Food: 9/10 - I had the cheeseburger and fries which were really good! Others had the grilled asparagus and olives. All were on point! The drinks were really good, I had the "I am Joaquin" - was so refreshing! Service: 8/10 - Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Ambiance: 9/10 - The environment was dim lit and speakeasy vibes. This visit was during the heat wave and unfortunately the AC seemed to be not working to its full capacity. It was a bit warm inside. Other than this, this place is great for a late night food and drinks.

Yelp
Bluebird is really a beautiful establishment. The decor is dark, but warm and inviting. The literary references and the library aesthetic is perfect for cocktails with friends, family, dates, or even your book club. The first time I came here, roughly 4 years ago, was with my book club. It's also the only time that I ordered any food and if I remember correctly I got the burger which is still on the menu so that implies it's pretty good, especially considering their small and ever-changing menu. Since that time I've come here for many a delightful cocktail. Their cocktail menu also changes often, seasonally if I'm not mistaken. The cocktails are inspired and intriguing. This is the only place that you will find me drinking my greens; peas have made an appearance on more than one occasion including my first visit and my most recent. The cocktails are always well balanced and stunning. Highly recommend

Yelp
A cool vibe. That's the first thought that comes to mind when I think of The Bluebird. Let me start from the beginning. When we first arrived I was a little confused as there's 3 different concepts in one. The first time I came here I was really in the Green Room. The Bluebird is upstairs lol. Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised with the decor. Intimate, warm.... Nice vibe. We sat at the bar. It was empty when we first got there but it filled up pretty quickly so I would suggest arriving at a good time to find a seat and parking. My first cocktail was an off menu creation from our bartender. I told them the flavors I liked and they made a pretty good drink. My friend kept it classic with Sam Old Fashion that he said was really good. For food, we ordered the chips and dip, the black bean hummus and we shared a burger. I enjoyed , my friend wasn't a fan of the black bean hummus. My second drink was a New York Sour. I really enjoyed that as well. My last drink was also a Bartender Freestyle... a rum based cocktail. Before calling it a night we had drinks in the lower level. Aaliyah, our server/bartender was nice and attentive. I will be back

Yelp
One of Hampden's finest establishments! Bluebird Cocktail is a dimly lit swanky bar off 36th street in the heart of Hampden. If you a blue neon bird on a building, you're in the right place. You'll walk up a dark staircase into a dimly lit but spacious bar area with books and literature scattered throughout the venue. The cocktail menu has both alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages. I liked that they had mock tails for those that don't drink. Service is generally great and fast, the bartenders know their stuff and can answer any questions you may have. A great spot for a date or just to unwind with a drink in a low key atmosphere surrounded by books!

Yelp
Climb up a few steps and you'll be immediately greeted by a host on the main floor. With another round of steps there is another host stand that welcomes you into the large cocktail room. There was the buzz as expected for a a Friday night with a diverse crowd. I immediately felt welcomed and was happy when a spot at the bar opened up. A little sour with a sneak of sweet the Rapunzel is a perfect cocktail full of sugar, spice and everything nice. The burger was ok. This order comes with a salad. I heard so much about the fries I had to try them as well - they didn't disappoint. The patrons here are friendly. I was told about the pub downstairs that's pretty popular for locals and it sounds like a decent spot to try in the future. Overall this is a cool place for interesting cocktails and a cozy atmosphere. Awesome service and great vibe.

Yelp
We had already eaten dinner but weren't ready to go home and decided to grab cocktails at Bluebird. I had never been here and absolutely loved it. First you walk up some steps, across a porch lit with subtle hanging lights and down a hall to the establishment. There is a long bar that runs the length of the restaurant and several tables and high tops. There is a small plates menu that looked good but we didn't get food. My wife had the Water of Life and I had the Briar Rose. The bar tender was helpful, patient and friendly. She walked us through the options and answered our questions. The drinks were fantastic. Really unusual, unique, full of flavor and layers on layers of taste. Each cocktail has an entire page in the menu dedicated to it, with ingredients and a nursery rhyme that relates to the name. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Cocktails were "meh" at best. My nod to a last word, "the final stanza", tasted like beet juice and fireball.

Yelp
Went to a murder mystery party at the restaurant. The room we were in was very nice, the bar was great. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had fun and a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back to this restaurant.

Yelp
My third time here, and definitely my last. The drinks are delicious but every time I come here I feel like the staff acts like they are lucky to be waiting on me, and this time was no different. The one exception was Scott, who was absolutely lovely... the rest of the staff were young women who glared at us (boring middle aged women) when we asked for a drink or inquired about the food menu. The audio system is so loud that everyone needs to shout to be heard. I adore good music and am not averse to some volume, but this was utterly ridiculous. We had intended to eat here but left because it was so difficult to get the staff (sitting at bar) to acknowledge our existence. Never. Ever. Again.

Yelp
This place is beautiful and has such a fun atmosphere! I like how there are different floors with different vibes one with live music and another more intimate vibe with beautiful scenery. The drinks here were pretty strong and relatively good, the food was ok. The server we had upstairs was amazing and super kind! Overall, I think it is a good place to visit!

Yelp
Perfect date night place for cocktails. It's dark and cozy. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. The food is good too.

Yelp
The Bluebird was a recommendation from a native to Baltimore. We stopped in around 5:30 on a Saturday and we immediately seated at the bar. I'm so glad we made the decision for the bad since the level of artistry that goes into the cocktails is addicting to watch. I loved the ambiance and the experience as a whole. The cocktails were in point. Complex, creativity, and beautiful. The bartenders were very responsive and professional. They knew their stuff and obviously are well informed which shows great management. Fantastic place to stop in. I loved it here.

Yelp
I'd go back to the Bluebird Cocktail Room solely for the mushroom toast. Yes It was that good. There's a part of me that just can't reconcile paying more than 9 dollars for a drink, but I did decide to order one Old Fashioned when I was there, and man was it good. I'm fairly certain it was the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. We also got an order of fries which were Pringles level addictive. Also they were cut so small that I wanted to shove 12 of them in my mouth at a time... just like Pringles. Service was good and very efficient. The atmosphere is very hip... or what do the kids now-a-days say? It really slapped. A lot of my friends who got other drinks really enjoyed them. The menu is done very creatively and each drink is presented with a sort of Gothic? backstory to it. If you're looking for a swanky place to start your night in Baltimore, I'd highly suggest it. Also, I ran into the FAMOUS Baltimore Yelp Community Manager there! #CelebritySighing ;) It was actually the first time that we met in person as she joined the team amidst the Pandemic. Extra kudos for planning that Blue Bird Cocktail Room ;) And man o man... that mushroom toast. P.S. Children are not allowed #100PercentFineWithThat P.S.S. They don't have a phone. If you'd like to contact them, you need to send them an email #IUnderstandWhy

Yelp
If you're looking for a VIBE, blue bird is the place to go! This speak easy is a hidden gem. The drinks were so delicious and the service was extremely quick. I love the atmosphere and the old fashioned bookstore feel this place gives... it makes me feel like I'm a main character in Beauty and the Beast. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The atmosphere is quite pleasant, offering a distinctive concept that I found enjoyable, particularly the communal table arrangement. Nevertheless, the waiter service could be a bit bewildering. On the bright side, the drinks were delightful, and the menu showcased some truly innovative options.

Yelp
I love a good cocktail bar and the bluebird is on the list for good cocktail bars! I will say the Whiskey bar they have on the bottom has better service and a large variety of Whiskey which is all I need. I was able to try a new Whiskey at a decent price so no complaints out of me. After a cocktail we headed upstairs to the main bar. The drinks there are fairy tale themed which is cute but complicated, they also have really good burgers which is honestly the only thing I order when I go so I couldn't tell you about anything else on the menu. What I will say is get the burger, drink the whiskey, have a good time.

Yelp
Bluebird is such a cute space and gets busy pretty quickly! They have a unique selection of drinks, but I think they are premade and you can't make any adjustments to them so that part kind of sucks. But the food is good and the space is nice to be in. Would still recommend to try!

Yelp
As far as Baltimore bars go, I think Bluebird is pretty unique. I really like the library and speakeasy vibe (the lights on the middle tables especially reminded me of the Boston Public Library which really brought me back), the staff are all pretty nice, and the drinks are interesting. My favorite part though is probably the menu, it looks like a little book of allegories. The drinks are a little expensive compared to Baltimore cocktail prices but on par with the cocktail prices in other cities so I don't think it's unreasonable to spring for. In terms of food I've only tried the stretched mozzarella small plate but it was tasty! I think Bluebird is worth checking out for sure, especially if you've never been!

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in baltimore! The ambiance is amazing and great for conversations! The cocktails are amazing and the drinks are all literature based so it's so fun! Even the bartenders play their part and dress up!
