I’m embarrassed to say I’ve lived a few blocks away from The Bohemian: A Wine Bar in Charlotte NC for over a year and finally got there!! So glad I finally did!! We had such a great experience. They have a super cool space, very warm, cozy and inviting. They have a huge wine list for bottles and a very big list by the glass. The service was spectacular. I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was amazing! She let us try one of the wines by the glass before we ordered it. They also had a decent sized food menu. I didn’t realize they had food. We had the pig & the fig flatbread. Such a great combination of flavors and crispy. We also had the Caprese salad. It was delicious. Will definitely be going back really soon.

We're just drinking this afternoon as I welcome some out of town friends to Charlotte. We landed at the Bohemian and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine while sitting on the very comfy sofa and chatting for about two hours. Great service and the young lady who was pouring was knowledgeable and helpful with what's available. We had already enjoyed a late brunch so we skipped over the charcuterie plates and looking back, I wish I had not said no. The photos look amazing!

Awesome place for a glass of wine and relaxing! I came here Friday to unwind from the week and read a bit. I ordered a glass of champagne and sat in the covered patio area. Staff was really friendly and I really enjoyed my drink. A bit pricey for a glass ($17), although they did have some Riesling, other whites for $7/8 a glass, so a good selection of price points available! There were a ton of bugs/flies around, a couple fell into my glass but other than that, it was perfect!

The Bohemian: A Wine Bar was an experience within itself. The lightly decorated establishment had works of art displayed for sale, mixed matched furniture, a outside seating area with shelter so you're able to enjoy the fresh air and people watch but not be crucified by the sun. The staff spoke to us immediately as soon as we walked through the door. She was pleasant and polite. Served us quickly. There were several selections of wine for purchase on the wall, but not so many on the menu provided to us. There are some meats/cheese and flatbreads that can be purchased here. Pricing wise, this establishment is a little cheaper than most places when buying a glass. The wine was served warm but wasn't too bad at all if you knew your wines. Personally, The Bohemian wasn't all my favorite out of all the wine bars within Charlotte. I can't discredit them because of my opinion. However, you can't pass it up for location convenience and the affordable for a glass of wine or two.

Such a nice vibe. Loved the guy at the bar he knew just what drinks to recommend. The flavors in the food and the wine selection was rich. The lady waitress wasn't that great she literally mixed up the wines between my friend and I, served us the desserts without plates and didn't verify the orders or totals before charging us but other then that I loved the place! It's a nice inviting, atmosphere. I LOVED the honeyed Gouda cheese board and the Tuscan Flatbread. The dessert was perfect, I highly recommend getting the The Godfather dessert tray. My favorite ended up being the carrot cake.

Great little covered patio to enjoy some wine and food on a nice night in Charlotte. We ordered wine, olives, and flatbread and everything was delicious. Very limited parking so you might need to park in the neighborhood and walk.

We recently hosted our daughter’s engagement party at The Bohemian Wine Bar, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! From the very start, Patrick, the owner, was incredibly responsive to our initial inquiry, providing us with all the information we needed. His ongoing communication made planning a breeze. During our walkthrough, we met Jeffrey and Kate, who were both so accommodating and resourceful. They made us feel right at home and addressed all our questions with ease. On the day of the event, everything came together beautifully. The food was outstanding, exceeding all our expectations. The wine selection was impressive, offering a wide variety that catered to all our guests’ tastes. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed and will not only recommend The Bohemian Wine Bar to others but will also be back for future events. We can't wait to drop in for a glass of our favorite Crosby! Thank you for making this special occasion unforgettable! Marcos & Zaida Acosta

Absolutely delicious desserts. Large selection of wine. Very personable service. Had the opportunity to meet the chef which added to the overall experience. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Not just the food. Not just the friendly and attentive service. Everything about this place is completely welcoming. It looks like it might've been some sort of garage at some point, and they have transformed it into an urban oasis with tasteful, art and unobtrusive jazz in the background and extremely comfy places to sit and enjoy the company of one or two friends. A perfect little spot for conversation with someone whose company you particularly relish . Incidentally, the menu is the equal of anything we've had in San Francisco and at a much better price. Once again, I forgot to photograph things before I ate them. My apologies., Come order something for yourself.

Yelp
The service here is always outstanding along with the wine and food. I must admit that this is one of my happy places. I was there recently for a Champagne tasting and I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend listening to Jerry the sommelier as he is a genius for all things wine.

Yelp
Cool funky vide, decent prices. Staff was great but they need a better by the glass selection

Yelp
I've never considered myself a wine connoisseur, much more of a beer guy. That being said I do enjoy wine and like to change up the vibes sometimes so I appreciate a good cozy wine bar like The Bohemian. Tucked away off of the main strip of the popular Plaza Midwood neighborhood, this little hangout is a great place to meet and relax with friends, or a great place for a little date night. The staff are friendly and happy to make recommendations or answer any questions for those of us who do not have the most sophisticated wine palates. I have yet to try their food but it seems to mostly center around small plates that pair well with wine along with some impressive looking charcuterie boards. Wine lovers should certainly keep this place on their radar!

Yelp
Great food & interesting wines; even nonalcoholic choices are topnotch!Servers are friendly & knowledgeable. Nice place to relax with friends after work

Yelp
What an amazing Rose Wine Tasting event! The Bohemian offered such a great variety, quantity and information durning their Rose wine tasting event! Phillip took the lead durning our tasting and he did an amazing job educating us on the history of Rose. This is such a great event and a wonderful date or activity spot! Also the they have a great variety of food that is well priced too!

Yelp
Wine lovers!! If you've been following me for a while you know my favorite drink is red wine - Cabernet Sauvignon to be exact. I love the entire experience of drinking wine. From the cozy/soothing atmosphere of a wine bar to the delicacy of the glass. Bohemian Wine Bar is no different. Explore their ever-expanding bottle list or choose from their curated list of wines by the glass. I must try one of their Charcuterie boards next time I visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Went for Cabernet Franc Day and had a great time! Cute vibes with seating options indoor, outdoor and also somewhat in-between (a patio) which is where we sat. The staff were welcoming, hella knowledgeable and shared lots of wine history alongside each pour. They also offered a Coravin pour for several other Cabernet Franc vintages not included in the tasting for an additional charge. Definitely would've indulged if we had time because they were tapping into some pretty cool bottles I would've loved to try. Will return to try one of their charcuterie boards and of course more wine and conversation with Harry (the GM who walked us through the tasting).

Yelp
I have been coming to The Bohemian since we moved to Charlotte about 5 years ago and it is one of my favorite places! Good wine, food, service, and vibes!

Yelp
Overpriced, average wine and beer selection, lication is ok, I did not try the food!! Would not go back

Yelp
Ambiance: 10/10! This is the perfect place to spend a rainy day or enjoy the partial patio on a pretty afternoon. The decor is great and the location is perfect, being in the heart of plaza midwood. Staff is knowledgeable on the food/drinks. You don't carry much of a conversation, since you order from the bar, but perfect spot for a date or to catch up with friends in a more cozy place. Wine list isn't super extensive for a wine bar, but the list has a range of wine types and regions. Most bottles were between $30-$70. Same comment for food... not a huge menu but great for happy hour or lunch!
google avatar

Destiny H.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my time here lots of old world and California wine. Wish they carried some local stuff. The flatbreads are really delicious & highly recommend. Jerry behind the bar was so nice and kinda and I really appreciated his top notch service. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
This spot is super cute, slightly pricey. I highly recommend for a fancy date night :) I popped in with a friend and really enjoyed myself. We ordered the "Godfather" charcuterie because it came with duck and I've never had that on a charcuterie before. Fantastic meat and cheese pairings. We also ordered a bottle Cowhorn Syrah. It was such a simple classy night out. The only things I didn't love was that you have to go inside and order from the bar. It was kind of awkward to me since people were sitting at the bar, so there really wasn't any service. But the gentleman that took our order was nice and funny and made us feel welcomed! The other thing was when we got up to order and came back to our table one of our chairs was gone. It didn't appear to have been taken by a guest in the restaurant. So, kind of odd an employee would take our chair when we only went inside to order, as told. *shrugs*. But I definitely enjoyed myself and would go back for sure!

Yelp
One of my favorite neighborhood spots! I love the ambiance and everyone is so friendly! This is a more relaxed vibe, where you order at bar. They don't have a huge menu, but the flatbreads and charcuterie are SO tasty! The perfect spot for a girls wine night out or a date night!
google avatar

Rox S.

Yelp
Good vibes here. Small parking out front. Love the covered little patio with open window (kinda inside but outside feel). So many options for wine! Employees are funny and knowledgeable. Felt right at home my first time in. Sometimes a big wine list can be overwhelming but just ask for recommendations - you won't be disappointed. Def on the pricey side but I think that's the norm these days. They do have non-alcoholic options. My pregnant friend ordered 2 non wine drinks and each were like $8-9 each. Honestly this place had me at Bohemian. I'm not even a huge wine person. But I like this place if I'm in the mood for vino.

Yelp
I went to The Bohemian: a wine bar on a Sunday around 12ish with a good friend after church! They. Just opened so it was not packed at all. The atmosphere was amazing! It was a nice urban and artistic vibe to the place. There was art on the wall for sale. That was pretty cool. The atmosphere, the vibe of the facility, I must say was pretty darn amazing. It was definitely a vibe. My friend and I ordered the La Bo'M (the inspiration) which is one of the flatbreads along with the chef salad special that was offered. (Other salads are available to order of course.) we also ordered a bottle of Chardonnay. I am not much of a salad gal myself but I will say the salad was rather refreshing. The vinaigrette was made in house by the chef there who actually came out and spoke to us and asked how we enjoyed the food. The flatbread was tasty. It came with hardwood smoke bacon, fontina, pesto and roasted tomate. It was so yummy. The service was great even when the place did begin to fill up. The attendant was very nice and recommended the wine we had to pair with what we ordered. Everyone was super nice. There is an option to sit inside or outside but you do have to order at the bar. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
On a return visit to this cozy neighborhood amenity, the overall experience was much better and much more pleasant. No cute confrontational political attire worn by the staff... just wonderful wine and a cheerful and lovely ambience. I sincerely appreciate this change and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great spot to meet friends embedded in a terrific neighborhood. The staff is not just friendly, also knowledgeable without being pretentious. They will definitely help you find a great wine that suits your palate!

Yelp
Quaint neighborhood wine bar off Central Ave, with delicious charcuterie boards Large selections of wines to have by the glass or the bottle with coolers if needed We had 3 bottles that nice with a flat bread & the large charcuterie board with a nice variety Will recommend for smaller groups, we had a group of 7

Yelp
Stopped in on a busy night and was seated immediately. We enjoyed glasses of wine in a semi-private area of the restaurant. Loved the vibes and looking forward to returning. Will try food next!

Yelp
Traveled to Charlotte for work and planned to come here on a Sunday evening for wine and a snack; took a Lyft here and arrived around 6:55pm (knowing they closed at 8pm) disappointed to arrive to locked doors over an hour before closing while patrons were inside. Bad business, especially as this is where we mapped our plans prior to arriving in the city.

Yelp
I used to live in Plaza Midwood and would come here after getting my nails done next door. My mom was visiting so I wanted to take her somewhere she hadn't been and I love wine bars. I absolutely love the cozy vibes. It's not a huge place. I usually sit on the patio bc the garage door raises up and it's beautiful when the weather is nice. My favorite things to get on the menu are the Fig and Pig Flatbread and The Godfather cheese and charcuterie board. They have a nice selection of French and Italian wines. I had forgotten how much I loved this place and will definitely have to start coming back more often.

Yelp
This wine bar is for the laid back type that don't mind not having "servers", as you go up to the bar and order your own wine and food. The Bohemian exudes a relaxed atmosphere, as the decor is just as eclectic as the wine and the service is via a custom-built 12-tap Cruvinet wine dispensing system. The fancy system keeps wines fresh for three to four weeks, allowing The Bohemian to serve a wide variety of wines by the glass (ranging from $7-16 depending on the rotating menu). They have a small inside but a nice sized little patio area -- so depending on your mood or the weather, you have some seating options! They have some charcuterie and small bites to nibble on. While it's $30, I TOTALLY recommend The Godfather charcuterie board -- it has a great variety of 3 meats and cheeses, with some jam, pickled veggies, and crackers. Pro tip: The Bohemian has NO CORKAGE FEE so choose a bottle from their more than 100 bottle selection without feeling guilty about not finishing it on the spot.
google avatar

Kelly A.

Yelp
The Bohemian is THEEE cutest. Omg. If I lived in Midtown I'd be there thrice weekly! The ambiance, both inside and in the covered outdoor space is comfy and elegant-chic. The bar has ample seating but also, the table seating is an eclectic collection of sofas and chairs. It feels more like you're in a cool, well-off friend's home more than a "bar", lol. And the music selection is always perfect for that casual yet classy vibe...it puts you in a mood whilst drinking wine lol!! And the bartenders are all super personalable and knowledgeable about the menu...I've always enjoyed chit chatting with them when I sit at the bar. Because I'm a red girl (and a girl who likes reasonable prices) I always go for the $10 cab. This will certainly be a go-to of mine now that I'm an official Charlottean!

Yelp
Took my fiancé here on a date night as a surprise as it was a newly opened wine bar in plaza midwood. We pulled in and walked in and immediately thought wow this place is nice! . It was a little crowded but we managed to snag a table in the corner and proceeded to order the charcuterie plate ( you can pick your choice of meats and cheeses) and a cheese pizza flatbread. Ordered a nice bottle of Chardonnay and proceeded to enjoy the night . Charcuterie came out and was excellent, we loved the texture and taste of the meats along with the taste of the different cheeses. The flatbread was SO good I loved it Also . Service was excellent and helpful, food did take a few mins to come out but with a crowd of that size they managed it very well. Highly recommend stopping in to check this place out and grab a nice bottle of wine. Cheers
google avatar

Lisa F.

Yelp
Unique wine bar, playing pleasant music & serving a good selection of wine, flat breads & charcuterie boards. Recommend for an after dinner "wine down" spot on date night.
google avatar

Jackie L.

Yelp
I had a great experience at The Bohemian. The decor is beautiful. The wine even better! Next time I would like to try some of the flatbreads/boards. Looking forward to my next visit.
google avatar

Amber S.

Yelp
First of all, I love Bohemian anything so I knew I would like this place. I enjoyed the decor and layout. They have an area completely inside, an area outside (imagine like a screened in glass area), and then a tent outside with more seating. I believe I remember space heaters for the glassed in part and outside in the tent. I appreciated the creative artwork on the wall, as well as the choice of patterns for the chair coverings, the light fixtures, and etc to add to the theme. We were assisted by Harry who was very knowledgeable on the wine selections and assisted me in choosing an option. It was actually a perfect match for me! Thanks Harry!

K D.

Yelp
Awesome place to relax and have great wines. Plenty of space. Surrounded by others who are doing the same thing.

Yelp
Visited for a quick lunch and glass of wine before our flight tonight. We entered the establishment and was given a look from the waiter/bartender from behind the bar. No welcome to... no hello how's it going... so we said hello! And the reception was chilly. No interaction with the guests. What happened to southern hospitality?! We placed our order and grabbed a seat. The waiter/bartender brought over the food, no "enjoy your meal", no "bon a petit", no response to our "thank you". After we finished our meals, we cleaned the coffee table and took our dishes to the bartender and he responded with "just put 'em on the bar." No "thanks for doing that guys", no "I could have done that guys", no "thanks for the help". The wine was good but the dingy drive to the bar looks like it's in a neighborhood going through a transition. Perhaps the night staff have a more hospitable disposition towards guests at their establishment. If you're looking for a friendly neighborhood vibe, this isn't it if you're not part of the regular crowd. Definitely not a spot for visitors, so I wouldn't recommend.
google avatar

Alexis C.

Yelp
OMG this flatbread was to die for! Absolutely delicious and not overfilling. Staff was extremely helpful with wine recommendations. They do keep the main window up front open for COVID reasons which can make it a little chilly, but they have small heaters. Such a cute vibe inside. Again, staff was great! Cant wait to go back again and experience in the summer!

Yelp
I absolutely loved The Bohemian Wine Bar! I tried to go one other time but they were closing when we walked in, so I'm glad I tried again early Saturday evening. My friend and I shared the prosciutto flatbread and it was divine. I want to try to recreate it at home! The combination of fig jam and gorgonzola cheese was tangy and sweet. I got a glass of Chardonnay and my friend got a glass of sparkling white wine. It was a cozy and relaxed spot which was the perfect spot to grab a drink and some food before a night out.

Jaclyn S.

Yelp
I love coming here. The wines are delicious and worth the money. The patio area is my favorite with the cute chairs and tables. I also recently joined their wine club that is fantastic! It seemed a little pricey at first but once you consider the two tastings that come with it (you plus one), it's a steal. Can't wait to come to more. I also need to give a shout-out to their flatbreads. I Leah's come hungry to get one. They are filling too so I also need to split them which is great. Also good for allergies and they are accommodating!
google avatar

Erica J.

Yelp
Ive now been three times, and each time has been a charm. Great wine selection, great food items, order a few , have yet to have anything bad! Cozy seating, friendly service, what else can you ask for??!! If I had to look for something "bad", the parking can be a bit of a drag, especially as you get closer to the weekend but this is expected in the plaza area. I hope with new development plans in the works it will improve. Def go and enjoy a glass (or two). Cheers~
google avatar

Takoya L.

Yelp
Really nice and intimate spot. Visited on a Wednesday night with 2 gal pals. We sat outside on the patio that's filled with plenty seating. Bottles of wine range from $28-62 but average around 28-30 bucks. Cons you have to order drinks at the inside bar, you get a number and they bring your order to your table. Pros the bartenders are very helpful, punctual, and friendly. The service is great. Another con is there were no wine specials. A lot of places offer week day specials this place seems to feature none at this time. Great ambience, Good vibes.

Yelp
This is definitely a great place to come drink wine with friends. It's a much needed relaxed setting in a sea of breweries (which I love too). Both times I've been here my friends and I got lost in our conversation with a few bottles of wine and just had a relaxing Saturday afternoon. This is becoming my go to win spot in Charlotte as the wine is good, the setting is relaxing, and the prices are good. I haven't eaten the food yet as I have a severe nut allergy so it is difficult to eat out at places, especially when there are nuts in their kitchen, but I do want to try some of the flatbreads as they smell delicious. I definitely plan on coming back again.
google avatar

Jennifer J.

Yelp
For a wine bar, they surprisingly do not have too many options. Excellent service was provided however and the environment is clean. I would consider coming back to try food with my wine next time for sure. It looks like they have a great selection to perfect with a glass of wine.
google avatar

Meena P.

Yelp
In plaza mid wood section of Charlotte...very cool hip area. Lots of places to drink but this one has been on my radar! Has a little parking around it free, which was a nice surprise. I went on a lovely fall Sunday afternoon, they have this great area upfront which is like a garage door opened up and they added a bar seating area on it, so you can sit and look out. Almost like in a covered porch area they had couches and seats with tables around. Then indoors there's the bar with more seating. They also sell a range of wines and beers, in the refrigerator. These may not be on the menu though as I discovered! For Sunday she told us to order at the bar, but I think they do do table service as well on other days. They have a good variety of reds and whites, one Rose and a couple of sparkling. I didn't really look at beers as I don't drink them! Started off with the natural sparking white, which was different as it looked flat but when you drink it there was definitely the effervescent there. Nice and dry. It was called the Pet-Nat, from Burgundy, France. Nice wine. Then I tried the Rose, Le Campuget, from France. Also nice and dry , just like I like. Both would recommend and get again. They also have flatbreads, cheese plates, charcuterie boards and a couple of salads. Which we didn't order, but I saw others and they looked great. Nice vibe at this place, very chill and laid back. Great addition to plaza mid wood.

Yelp
The Bohemian is a chill, relaxing, awesome spot to grab a glass (or bottle) of wine and some munchies. We opted for a bottle of cabernet franc, the godfather charcuterie board (4 meats, 4 cheeses, some nuts, honey and bread), and the happy pig salad - the perfect amount for a dinner for 2. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. But, what really makes The Bohemian stand out is the atmosphere - I loved sitting on the patio, listening to relaxing music and enjoying some great wine.
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
So my rating is based on four things.... Out of the two cabs I tried, the one I like the best was just ok. Second - I did not like the citrus dressing on the $13 salad I ordered. No other dressings available. Third - I've had "fig and pig" pizzas in multiple places... not a fan. Last? I asked for a cup to water to go and no such luck. I lead large social events but it won't be back to here :-(

Yelp
What a great way to spend a Saturday or any afternoon... The atmosphere, wine list, and service are incredible! This place has a relaxing, outdoor seating area AND a large indoor area! Harry and Dan provided amazing customer service and an in-depth knowledge of all the great wines they were servicing. The BTG selections are varied and solid, but the bottle selection is where the magic can happen! When they pulled out the BOOK--this heart warmed!!! The Godfather meat and cheese board was perfect for a bunch of people---very filling with a fantastic selection and the usual supporting suspects, crackers, bread, olives, almonds, pickles, etc... Sadly...I didn't take any pics; that's what happens when things are going GREAT!!! If you are a lover of wine or interested in dabbling in some. This is a destination worth traveling!!!
google avatar

Kristen M.

Yelp
Sooo yummmmm. The flatbread and charcuterie I had was delicious. The wine was amazing of course. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. The environment is lovely for a date night, girls night, or place to bring the rents in town. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This is my home away from home! Absolutely love this chill and chic wine bar everyone who works there work as a team and the wine and food are really good! I got a chance to meet the owner really nice guy! Knows how to make you feel welcomed! From our conversation he wanted to open this wine bar because he believes in lasting memory's! Somewhere people can come and have a good time and enjoy some wine and friends! I ordered a few things, but it wasn't an authentic version of the dish! Don't get me wrong, everything was great! Because some items were missing ingredients I will be back for a review of the food. I also want to add that the price point for wine and food is great!

Yelp
My friends and I stopped in here just to share one bottle on a Sunday, and we had a lovely time. The outdoor-ish area is full of comfy chairs and seats, with open walls, so we sat there and all split a reasonably-priced bottle of red. It was relaxing, cute, and just what we were looking for.
google avatar

Lizi C.

Yelp
Loved the eclectic, laid back vibe. Outside covered are was great especially since a rainy night yet felt we we "outside". Delicious charcuterie and yummy salad. Will be back .

Yelp
Super cute wine spot for friends or a date! A great selection of wines from all different price points, regions and styles. We had a $24 bottle and an $130 bottle on the table :) So there is something for all. The cheese board was nicely crafted, but felt the flatbreads could be a little less bread and have more items on top! Service was great, but the ordering section of the bar is a tad tight and makes for awkward standing around. For a new place it's awesome, but def room to get the wrinkles ironed out.
