Our room had the same "bold" design as the lobby, with metal studded everything, imposing, blocky wooden furniture, deep colors, and metal frames that combined to induce a disquieting feeling of unease, but which might be to some people's tastes. Nothing positive however can be said of what I can only describe as a nightmare-dimension chandelier hanging three feet over the bed. A blasphemy of hideously contorted bone and shell, it seemed always subtly in motion, like a great ominous spider unfolding and lowering itself to pounce.
Overall the room evinced a bizarre understanding of design and human needs. There was only one bedside table, and the outlets all connected to the main light switch, so you could only charge your phone if all the ceiling lights were on. Any towel placed on the towel hook would block the shower door from closing, etc.
The decor in this "art hotel" was unfortunately uniformly atrocious, representing a limited range of oppressive anti-human brutalism and depressing, poorly executed attempts at cubism.
Last, the service was problematic. I checked in on our wedding day, and despite assurances, returned twelve hours later to find our bags hadn't been brought up and no one knew where it was. We struggled to get clean towels sent up, and so on.
Otherwise, the hotel was modern by Savannah standards, and relatively clean and quiet.
