Why Seafood Boil Restaurants Are So Popular in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"In Atlanta, I observed that The Boiler Seafood became the first Black-owned restaurant of its kind to open in Buckhead, marking a notable moment in the city’s growing scene for New Orleans/Cajun-style seafood boils." - Nneka M. Okona

Every aspect of great dining experience is found here in this very comfortable and welcoming place. Seafood was perfectly seasoned and their hush puppies and crab cakes were the best. They were absolutely delicious. My goodness, even the white rice was delightful. Especially when I poured the garlic sauce over it! I highly recommend this place. Kudos to the chef & servers!!

I understand how everyone feels about the parking. We were skeptical as well (we are from Philly) I do know our service from Niecy was amazing. She showed professionalism, amazing hospitality and was very attentive. We say thank you! The food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Nothing was too salty or bland. The drinks were on point as well. We all had only one drink a piece and it had enough liquor in them. The manager on duty she was also attentive making sure everything was to out liking. The only thing we think was a bit much was taxing everything including the gratuity. The gratuity should've not been taxed only the food and drinks.

Google
For the amount we spent over $150 which isn’t the problem. The problem was that I don’t know were they get their snow crab from but this is the smallest snow crab I have ever seen. I’m only 5 foot one so imagine how small my hand is. The server was nice, And the food was good, but if I’m gonna get half the size of a snow crab, maybe they should try charging half the price. Lol Please this is just a place to eat if you wanna pay a high bill this is not somewhere you go for a nice evening or a dinner date or birthday because it doesn’t give those type of vibes.

Google
we were visiting in Atlanta for the first time and wanted to try a seafood boil. Nya was our server and she was fantastic! She was very sweet, attentive and extremely patient! We couldn't decide what we wanted for over 20 minutes because we were new to the boil atmosphere. She totally understood! Everything was delicious from the corn hush puppies to the peach sangria served with a fruity ice pop and we had the cluster of crab legs boil and the shrimp scampi. If you don't like spicy do not get the shrimp scampi! Unless, you specify that you want it mild. However, it was delicious, it was just WAY too much on the spicy side for me. PRICES ARE REASONABLE ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOOK ON GROUPON THEY HAVE OFFERS THERE. only negative for me is the DJ rap music is extremely loud! Otherwise, a wonderful experience.

Google
Overly hyped for mediocre food. I googled “best seafood boils near me”, The Broiler Seafood pops up. Pictures on their site looked promising. Pulled up to the restaurant, its valet service automatically, I guess because parking is scarce and marked for the other stores? Ok cool whatever. Security guards posted in the front. Ooook Buckhead, pop off- now we know theyre serious. Im expecting lavish decor, boujie even. Wah wah. Entering the establishment…. we were hit with stench. Idk, like dirty wet carpet- or mop.- or both . Bleh. Atmosphere— dark and Very Very underwhelming. We were seated, our waiter was ok. Ordered our food, and 2 alcoholic drinks. Let me WARN yall —- they consider TITOS vodka TOP SHELF. So, be prepared to pay extra $5 for Titos in a tiny cup, an easy $21. Ordered a “pick you own” seafood boil bag. It was good but really nothing special about it. You can find the same or even better quality for a cheaper price elsewhere. And then the bill came… my bad for not looking that they AUTOMATICALLY put a 20% Gratuity! and then 2.84% credit card fee AND another a 3% Restaurant fee! WTF. Total for 4 people— whopping $266! Im sure they were good when the owner was around. Just dont.. Save ur time & money.

Google
I usually check reviews before trying a new spot, and I wish I had this time. The seafood was cooked well, but the boiling sauce had little to no flavor and really needs a recipe change—especially the base and the beef sausage. The peach lemonade tasted watered down and wasn’t worth the upgrade. On the bright side, customer service was great—everyone was friendly and attentive. The oysters were decent, though the sauce was a bit thick. The standout was definitely the seafood rolls—absolutely delicious! This place has potential, but the recipes need serious improvement.

My cousin and I decided to give this place a try. It turned out to be a horrible decision. I opted for the make your own combo meal (shrimp, mussels, 1 corn, 1 potato with mild sauce). The mussels weren’t open and the one that was open tasted rubbery. The shrimp tasted frozen and fake. The andouille sausage my cousin got with her food tasted nothing like andouille, more like a hot dog Frank. The tea was also nasty and cost $5.20. I would absolutely not recommend this place.

Google
Paid $10 to park in the restaurants parking lot. Waitress was nice. Food tho I got the seafood bag with crabs, shrimp, sausage corn etc.. and it was cooked great but was tasteless asf, no flavor at all. $10 for 2 waters $20 gratuity and plus tip. My drink was weak for $18 as well just an all around disappointing experience

Yelp
I came here because I was in the area...I sat at the bar, I ordered a spicy margarita with Tito's (that was an extra $14 for the Tito's) and salt around the rim...the drink was very salty, I couldn't finish it, so I ordered a Blue Raspberry Martini but got a watermelon instead (which was really good, so I was happy with it). The bartender was super nice and attentive and made sure I was taken care of. I got the Lobster bite which were really good, and ordered the Comb Special with an extra crab claw medium level spice. The food to me was well seasoned I enjoyed it! Now what I hate is the "auto gratuity" for bill over $100 which was 20% and the restaurant processing fee of 3%....I'm from Los Angeles so this is an adjustment for me next time I'll make sure to keep the bill under $100....I don't mind tipping just don't like being forced to do it!

Yelp
The good: -Lively environment (hypemen full of energy) -Food and dessert tastes ok The bad: -Nickel and dime you from parking to food; an extra piece of fish/chicken etc requires you to buy a second FULL entree! -Drinks are MEASURED and less than....more juice than alcohol! -You sit and are immediately told "your time (90 minutes) starts now! Like, wait, you haven't even taken our order niece! -Servers are very direct and "bothered" if you dont immediately order. Neutral: more interested in 1 timers for IG photo-op than return customers which is why the service model is poor. Only our folks do us like this...

Yelp
This place is located in a shopping center with valet that parks your car in the shopping center. We went for crab legs and drinks and ordered the flight which happened to have a special which was good for us because it tasted like Hawaiian lunch and Dimetapp, children's medicine. We asked for more vodka because we couldn't taste any and the manager seemed to have an attitude with the request. So I wouldn't recommend the flight which was 5 different margaritas. I had by the pound which included 2 clusters of crab legs, boiled egg, and corn on the cob. I orders mild and this honestly may have been the worst I have ever tasted of crabs and the sauce. The crabs seemed warmed up seasoned ketchup. The corn was the end of the ear of corn, old and not even worth eating. One of my friends had shrimp and some were frozen but one friend did enjoy her mussels. As much as we were excited to get crab legs I can say I would not want to return to this location again. The crabs seemed old, hard to crack, seasoned bad, and service was underwhelming.

Yelp
It was not the place for me. The food was pretty bland. The service was fair. The restaurants atmosphere was ok. The food needed seasoning. Two from our party were served over half an hour after the rest of the party and they were pretty unapologetic about it. The prices were way too high. I heard the drinks were pretty good. The menu states no send backs. Basically...If there is a problem with the food... tough. Check out the eagle that they served. At home, I would have tossed this food.

Yelp
I have waited to review as I have been on several occasions (only for to-go) and wanted to allow the restaurant an opportunity to create a better impression. None was ever created. The service, prices and quality has only become more displeasing. The manager, Kimmy, is unprofessional, rude and very distasteful. Her attitude and disposition is extremely unbecoming and that echoes with the service throughout the restaurant. From the valet parking that is a parking lot located directly in front of the cramped building and the 20% gratuity added for absolutely anything to the very un pleasurable service, the one star is simply for the over priced delicious seafood egg rolls that I crave. But I will find seafood egg rolls elsewhere, I have absolutely no interest in spending any more money with a business that is inconsiderate, price gauges and lacks genuine care and concern for their customers.

Yelp
My cousin & I stopped in for lunch as we wanted some seafood. This was our 1st time visiting the Boiler Seafood And Crab Boil which specializes in CAJUN-STYLE SEAFOOD & CRAB BOIL and sits in a small strip mall with limited parking. The atmosphere was that of a lounge so it appears it's more designed for an evening visit. The service here was excellent! Our server, I believe her name was Ebony, was attentive without being intrusive. The entire staff worked seamlessly together to create an enjoyable dining experience. We never had to ask anything twice! Although my cousin thoroughly enjoyed her seafood boil, it fell short for me! We both ordered the Combo Special - 1 Snow Crab cluster, 1/2LB Shrimp Head Off, 1/2 LB Beef Sausage, 2 Eggs, 2 Potatoes, 2 Corn - which was actually a very generous sized meal; however, it was OVER seasoned to me. The seasoning was so powerful that it masked the taste of each individual food item! Everything tasted the same to me which is why I took nearly all of my food home and revamped it! So for me, it's 2 stars for the food...I added an additional star since my cousin was well pleased with her meal; however, the service tipped the scale to a 4! I would probably come back and try something different.

Yelp
We had a fantastic experience at The Boiler Seafood and Crab Boil! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Taj was amazing--professional, kind, and attentive throughout our visit. We truly appreciated the swift service and the welcoming atmosphere. The food was outstanding, especially the oysters, which were fresh and absolutely delicious! Everything was well-prepared and full of flavor. We'll definitely be coming back for another great meal. Highly recommend!

Yelp
CLEAN THE ESTABLISHMENT. Dust caked up on the walls and ceilings. Windows filthy. Its a no for me. We came here because we was in the area and saw promo for the unlimited crabs on Tues. I wanted clarification on that before driving out there Tues. Everyone at the table must order the unlimited and after your 1st round they bring on 1 cluster at ur request. Idc how unlimited if the outside look like this; where patrons can see aint no telling what the kitchen is like. Its giving we got seafood boils at home

Yelp
I've been wanting to go to The Boiler since they opened so was hype to go for my friend's bday dinner but unfortunately left very unsatisfied! The Good: Seafood Egg rolls were .. NGL.. i'd order those for takeout any day.. they were so good we ordered 2 batches! My only problem was the 1st batch were a lil cold & the sweet chili sauce literally had ice chunks in them.. smh. 2nd batch was fresh though! Hennessy Punch Tower was also & had us feeling good! The Bad: We all ordered 2 of the 1/2lb shrimp boil bags each. Each bag was supposed to come with 1 corn, 1 egg & one potato. The server decided she wanted to instead make our orders 1lb bags each, and only giving us 1 corn, 1 egg & one potato but charging us for 2 separate half lb bags. When we asked her about it, she went back & forth with us about it instead of fixing it! I was only not mad because the corn had 0 flavor & the potatoes were damn near raw so we didn't eat them anyway! Their sauce was also very thick.. something was really off about it i dunno but i wasn't impressed. Overall we spent about $300 in total... for some mid ass food & trash service.. i may return for a takeout order of egg rolls.. u know what.. nvm.. typing this review just pissed me off again, I'm not going back! I recommended this place & y'all embarrassed me! Thought i took pix of the food, i dunno where they at tho

Yelp
Second time visiting. Imo, the restaurant still deserves a solid 4 stars. Ordered the blue long island 36 oz bowl, or whatever you call it, spending $36. Not bad, but it could've been stronger for the price. Casual ambiance with old-school R & B playing at a moderate but comfortable level. Customer service was attentive. Food was delivered expeditiously. Seasoning was better last time, but good nonetheless. Fyi: The counter needs to be replaced sooner than later. Customer Service: 5 Food: 4 Drink: 3.5 Ambiance 3.5

Yelp
Crazy to see so many bad reviews for this place... no complaints here! Valet in the parking lot works off tips so you can provide whichever you feel necessary to them. I personally think valet is unnecessary there considering it's a plaza but hey, it is what it is! Friday night, you know how that goes, we didn't have reservations but there is a bar that had almost every seat available and one table, but we chose to sit at the table with no wait! Be prepared to walk in feeling like you're in a club! Music is loud and booming, people smoking hookah, section-type deal in the back dining area which is very dark only lit up with the blue lights, but i enjoyed it! Some may not. Our waitress was very personable and nice, checked on us as they should be. Calamari was bangin, hands down the best flavor. Whatever cajun seasoning is on it made it all the better, although I do prefer thinner sliced calamari, these rings still didn't taste rubbery/chewy to me! The tentacles were HUGE! Don't get me started on this seafood burrito! Granted $20 is quite a bit for how small it was (it is an appetizer) but at the same time I guess I understand because it's seafood! The flavor is absolutely bonkers, the boiler sauce added a good amount of spice and flavor, but I really could just eat it plain! I got a nice cheese pull at one point too. Crab was fresh, it said that shrimp were in there, but I did not notice! Maybe there was, who knows! All I know is that I'd eat it again. Anndd my drink! The Georgia Peach, what an appropriate place to get it! Presentation was cutesy and it was delicious, not too strong! Got to eat my peach rings to finish everything off, yum. BE AWARE! gratuity is already included which will be 20% of your bill, and my friend didn't catch onto that so she ended up tipping wayyy more! So come here if you're looking for some fire food and a fun modern atmosphere!

Yelp
I visited The Boiler in Atlanta on a Saturday around 6 PM, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! First off, you'll have to valet when you arrive, but there's no set price for this service--just tip the valet whatever you please. It's like a game of "how much do I like my car today?" The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. I chose to sit outdoors because, hey, why not enjoy the fresh air while indulging in some mouth-watering seafood? To sit outside, you'll need to hand over your ID to the host for the duration of your meal. It sounds a bit odd, but it's their way of making sure you pay before leaving--no dine and dash here! Now, let's talk food. I had the seafood burrito and the lobster fried rice. Pro tip: if you order the seafood burrito, don't bother ordering anything else. It's enormous! Seriously, this thing could probably double as a pillow. But oh my, it was delicious. The flavors were spot on, and the burrito was stuffed to perfection. The lobster fried rice was equally delightful, a symphony of flavors and textures that made my taste buds do a happy dance. For those looking to kick back and relax, they also offer a $40 hookah service. Perfect for those who want to chill and savor the evening. The service was timely and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I left with a happy stomach and a smile on my face. I'd definitely recommend The Boiler to anyone in the area, and I'll be back for sure. If you're in Atlanta and have a craving for seafood, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Yelp
Lord where do i start, we stood waited to be seated. Several people walked by us with not even a hello. Once we were seated we sat there for over 25 minutes with no waitress in sight. They just kept walking past our table until we stopped a waitress and she was absolutely amazing. This js NOT an upscale spot so do not think otherwise. Hookah seafood and loud music are not a great mix on a Saturday evening. Maybe other days are better but Saturday is more club than restaurant. Food: We ordered the hush puppies and they were amazing. Beat part if the meal. The lobster bites and shrimp fried rice was a JOKE they had a nerve to cut up two medium shrimp not a whole shrimp in sight. Not worth $30. The crab legs and noodles in bag with sausages, eggs was terrible. Conclusion: Stay away from this place. Its not worth it food is a 1 at best. Parking sucks and $155 later we still do not know what we had.

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience here. I went on a random Tuesday and the place was nearly empty. Which was ok with me. The service was really good. My server was very polite, knowledgeable and accommodating. The decor was cool. It's a place you can come to chill and eat. They even have hookah. Started with a lemon drop and caramel martini, I enjoyed both. Followed up with sweet corn hush puppies and oysters, I would recommend these. Then had the catfish and fries with along with a crab pasta( not the exact name). The only issue was with the crab in the pasta. It seemed like it could have been a few days old, just given the color and texture. Although this could have been due to the way it was prepared, I'm pretty sure it wasn't fresh. Still not bad and noodles were good. Go if you are in the area.

Yelp
Stopped by after getting my car washed across the street. I should've went home. The customer service was great, the lady that made my drink was very nice and my drink was good. The seafood egg rolls were small and they were kinda ok but I definitely don't recommend them for $16. The seafood bag, to start the shrimp was a nice size and I did like that it came with eggs, corn and potatoes. The sauce was basically just oil, it had no flavor. They overloaded my bag with sausage, like I appreciate it but they were not good. For $78 and I only liked the drink, it's very disappointing. Try for yourself but I won't be going back. I gave it two stars for customers service and the drink.

Yelp
Absolutely brilliant. In Atlanta for the week and came across this as we were searching for places to eat. The deal alone was enticing, but the food looked amazing. So we got the Combo #3 option. Nya was fantastic. She was so nice and walked us through some things. I lost track of how many times she checked on us through the night, and had drink refill on the ready without having to ask. We started off with the lobster bites and they were great. When our combo #3 came out, we were not disappointed! So much food for 2 ppl. That could have easily been enough for 4. I ordered a side of rice mainly out of habit since my wife is Filipino and rice is almost a necessity for every meal, but honestly you don't need it. King crab, snow crabs, blue crabs (seemed rather small, unfortunately), shrimp, crawfish, mussels, sausage, corn, potatoes, and eggs. There were only 2 negatives, but I chalked it up to being in Atlanta: 1) parking was extremely limited. When we drove up, it was valet parking only and the valet said that the restaurant was valet only. Never heard of that before. What if I Ubered there? Can I eat there still? 2) 20% auto gratuity included in the check. Not a fan of auto gratuity of any kind, but honestly, Nya earned it. Overall, would definitely recommend this place. Thanks for finishing off a rainy, slow week with an amazing dinner.

Yelp
Our server was really nice and attentive. Wish I could remember her name. The service was exceptional however I was extremely disappointed with the food. We ordered seafood egg rolls, oysters, pound of crawfish, pound of shrimp, 2 cocktails and a hookah. The previous reviews were not as accurate as expected. The sauce for the seafood boil lacked flavor. The drinks were ok. The atmosphere was chill. Was seeking a more upbeat vibe however the DJ was cool.
google avatar

Aysha S.

Yelp
The cashier was friendly and the restaurant is nice inside. However after waiting for fresh food I was greatly disappointed. All I ordered was the seafood egg rolls so I expected to enjoy a quick snack but the quality was poor and pretty tasteless. The sauce was also underwhelming. I'm not sure I'll be back.
google avatar

Chasity M.

Yelp
The service was great from our server. Everything came out quickly. My biggest complaint and the main reason I won't be returning is that disgusting restroom! I didn't want to touch anything in there... the walls, floor and counter was filthy. If your restroom is filthy I can only imagine how filthy the kitchen is. It felt like a gas station stall, if you will. To top it off, the kitchen is careless. They gave me potatoes that were completely bad in the middle. Seafood boil had a lot of flavor but I couldn't get past the restroom and the spoiled spud.

Yelp
My sister told me good things about this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. I will break my review into specific categories Parking: Please be advised that this restaurant is Valet Parking Only! The valet employees work on tips so please have some singles ready for these young men. They do make sure your car is parked great and are really nice. Food: The food/drinks were delicious and packed with so much flavor. From the salmon basket to the seafood boil each dish was hot and great. My favorite was the seafood egg rolls and my crab seafood boil bag! The medium heat was just enough and the temperature for the fries were perfect. I got a house mango margarita which did not disappoint and was extremely savory. The crab seafood boil was so good I forgot to take a photo of it. Ambiance: It's gives off the seafood vibe and was very spacious during the time me and my party went there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. It kinda of mimics Juicy Crab but with a different type so style. It's cute for a date night. Customer service could have been better in my opinion. Since our party consisted of 4 people there was an automatic gratuity included meaning our server didn't have to do much to get the tip. Our server could have been more attentive and when giving our appetizers he could have put down small plates. He did really check up on us and we had to flag him down to get things like cocktail sauce. That's the reason for deducting a star off my review.

Dontavious L.

Yelp
Food was perfect and the service was amazing! I will be bqck. Make sure you gwt the combo special and georgia peach cocktail

Yelp
This was a very disappointing experience. I remember when this spot when viral for a hot second. Then declined and I see why. The only good thing was our server. She tried her best. It was a red flag when we got there and it was practically empty. The bar look like every brought in a bottle from home. Scarce and almost empty. I ordered a lemon drop with tequila. It tastes just like lemonade. The cheese sticks were good but how can you mess those up. The seafood rolls taste old. I was excited for them and sadly let down. I didn't like the fact that you couldn't substitute anything in the seafood bag. One person in our party asked if they could sauté her shrimp instead of fry it and we were told no but they serve shrimp scampi. Um... don't you sauté shrimp for that? We ordered four sides of broccoli. We got three and then were told they ran out of broccoli. At that point, we just bust out laughing. Do not waste your time coming here. With all the seafood place in Atlanta, you can find cheaper and much better.

Corey K.

Yelp
They make you do valet parking. I had parked already, walked up the door and they asked if I'm dining in. I said yes. They said it's valet only. Then they parked my truck like 20 feet away from where we were standing. I feel like it's just something they do to get money out of people. The valet people were unprofessional and rude as well As far as the food, the seasoning was abundant but didn't taste very good. Corn tasted like it was old or going bad. The shrimp was ok and the crab legs were ok. I didn't even try the potatoes cuz they looked unappetizing. Ordered the calamari as an appetizer and most of it was good but some pieces were extremely chewy. Not a big beer selection, only four different kinds of bottled beer, none on tap. Our waitress was awesome, very friendly and quick. Overall, I would never come here again. Worst seafood boil restaurant I have been to. Very overpriced given the quality of the food.

Yelp
This was my first time here and I can honestly say it was a really fun experience. I was invited out w. Friends. We originally wanted sushi but it turned out to be a day of drinking and laughing! Even though they had enough seating on the inside and outside. We decided to sit at the bar. Our bartender was dope. She made us feel welcomed and gave us the best recommendations on food. I ordered the fried salmon w. Fries. We all shared appetizers which were, seafood egg rolls and calamari. We also shared a huge alcohol cylinder pitcher! Check out my pics below. I highly suggested that if you are w. A group of ppl to get the party started. The food was good. I just wished my salmon wasn't tuff. It felt like it was overcooked. They have gender neutral bathrooms. One of them were dirty. Just wished it was some type of urgency to clean it up quickly. Other than that, it's a pretty cool establishment.

Yelp
Parking is a nightmare! The food was ok, nothing to write home about. Go if you're in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit though.

Yelp
Popped in for a late lunch. Ample shopping center plaza parking. Decor is super cute and gives a club vibe. Place was empty because we came early. Server was super nice, forthcoming with suggestions, and attentive. We ordered cheese sticks, seafood egg rolls, mild wings and cajun fries, chicken fried rice, a side order of potatoes, and shrimp and catfish with shrimp fried rice. The egg rolls were AMAZING. (Had I known I would have gotten 2 orders as an entree.) The wings weren't great, but the rest of the food was pretty good. I got a tequila sunrise... bartender did a great job on it. Lemonade was good. Overall it was a good experience. I definitely recommend. We were starving and forgot to take pics. Next time I got yall...

Yelp
I came across this ad on social media and the food from the pic looked so good! I live in Philly and this place is in Georgia. So it was only right that I booked a flight for the day to come and see for myself lol and that's what I did. When we walked in, the place was empty. I was a little nervous like should we be happy that it's just us or nervous that its just us. We opted to stay and we're glad that we did. The drinks were amazing!!! But the food???The food was def worth the flight!!! Everything was so good. I never had crawfish and I'm not a fan of mussels so believe me when I tell you I was in there going to town. No lie!!!! It was so much food. This was the first time I was able to eat sausages in a crab boil bc most places use pork. So I was very happy to see theirs were beef. Our waitress was so nice. The customer service in our experience was great. I did see ppl mention about how small the parking lot is but we had a car service so it didn't bother us lol. I just feel like it's kinda hard returning back to Philly and being subjected to mediocre crab boils now. Thanks a lot lol!!! Guess I'll be taking more flights

Yelp
I love coming here to eat and for the ambiance ! The music is always good, the vibes are always good and we are always welcomed with open arms! Kimmy goes above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of and the rest of the staff is always just as caring and helpful! This is definitely a place to go if you just wanna get some good seafood and drinks or if you want a bite before the club ! Thank you guys for always taking care of us and being genuinely sweet and efficient! We never have to wait on food, drinks, service etc you guys keep going I wish nothing but prosperity and longevity for this black owned business

Yelp
Just had an amazing seafood experience at The Boiler Atlanta! Indulged in their viral seafood burrito - a massive and delicious combination of crab legs, shrimp, lobster, and all the fixings. They also have a great selection of Cajun dishes and even offer shisha. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in Buckhead and looking for a fun and flavorful meal! Service was fast and friendly, and the ambience was fun and electric!

Yelp
This establishment was going to be 1 star - but their thai chili sauce is what got them another point. Being from Maryland, I had high expectations for the spot. I've been spoiled in the seafood department. First, this location did not have a variety of seafood. No oysters, no scallops, maybe other items too honestly. In addition to not having a wide variety, what they ACTUALLY did have available, was not good. I will not be returning. Take me back to Maryland for my seafood.

Yelp
Service was terrible. I went with my aunt of town who asked the server questions about the food they couldn't answer. All we wanted to know was what items the server liked. Nobody could give any drink suggestions and throne server we spoke to seemed to be high or very out of it. The lobster tail has too much batter on it and was terrible. OF ALL THE FRIED LOBSTER TAIL I HAVE HAD THIS WAS THE WORST.

Yelp
I had the oysters and they were very delicious however, the service from a gentleman in particular was very disheartening. The energy from this waiter was not welcoming. He looked very irritable and facial expression showed he lacked patience or the desire to serve. He also made it seem like he was hiding something when it was time to pay by snatching the card reader out of my hand when I was trying to review the receipt. He automatically added gratuity to our check to secure himself a tip which in my opinion was not deserved. The ambiance is juicy crab but with a DJ. We won't be returning.

Yelp
The quality of the food should match their prices. Their food is sooo expensive and it's not even that good. Their drinks are okay. In addition to the food tasting mediocre, I've never been to a restaurant where you can't customize your food. I wanted the catfish and shrimp basket. I asked for 1 more catfish (I said I would pay extra for it) and they told me no. My fishbowl was really small. It's not what they advertised on Yelp pics unless they downsized on the fishbowl. Food: We ordered the egg rolls. It was pretty good that's why I gave 2 stars instead of one. We also ordered 2 bags of king crabs. The sauce in bag was oily and salty. I don't know what's the hype about coming here, but I wouldn't waste my time. You get mediocre food with an expensive bill.

Yelp
It's dirty in there. The walls are dusty, hell the sprinklers are gathering dust. The bathroom is DISGUSTING. Soap is watery. Tissue all on the floor with pieces of hair weave. THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. The waitress didn't stick to her word. She said the meal was one way, it came out another way. She said she could add sauce to the meal, then the kitchen was too busy (idk how, there were 20 ppl in there. Half of us had already eaten.) The food... sir or ma'am reading this... just go to the Pirates Boil in Smyrna or the Juicy Crab. MUCH Better there. Sauce in the boiler bags was thick af. The seafood egg rolls were fire, get those to go so you can warm up the sauce. It comes straight from the freezer. The music is cool. The other patrons were turnt. The drinks were good. I won't be back. Would not recommend.

Yelp
The service is the worst ever... I don't even think they want to be here. I waited 30 minutes for to tell me to wait 20 more minutes to order a drink. I will let you know how the food is once I get it... The food was good to me, I half the boil, and my wife had the crab legs she said the rice wasn't good.

Yelp
Ok so I have to write this review based on the service experience alone. I'll preface it all by saying we did not eat at this establishment. I was told on a few occasions that this place is better than the usual seafood spot that we have been going to so my partner and I were eager to finally get the opportunity to try it out. The parking is valet only and the nice gentleman works solely for tips. He was kind and great. No problems at all. I walk in as I arrived shortly ahead of my partner and get a table. When he arrived the young lady came over and got our drink order and eventually returned with them. He asks her, it's our first time and are wondering if you have any recommendations? She responds "I don't make recommendations since all sales are final." We were taken aback slightly at the tone and the comment itself so he, jovially says "that's fine we just want to know what's good or popular." And she responds "I don't make recommendations since all sales are final. Everybody orders all the appetizers and we're out of the egg rolls." So he chuckles and asks her what makes her say this because it's very stern in nature to which she repeated herself and I couldn't help but to think - robot? So she said she will give us some more time and at this point the entire essence was off putting so we decided to get her attention and pay for the 2 sodas and leave. Maybe she was having a bad day but it was very apparent she had no interest in being personable. It's unfortunate because we were geared up for this great tasting food we had heard about to be overshadowed by this lackluster service experience. Will we try again? Maybe with our friends who recommended it to make sure we aren't crazy. The ambience was a pretty relaxed place. It's not a fancy wear a suit type place but please leave the furry slippers and pajama pants at home.

Yelp
I was really worried about the rating. Came here on a Tuesday evening with a few friends and I had made my mind up not to order anything due to the reviews. Let's just say when I tasted the seafood eggrolls dipped in the sauce on the side.. I was sold on ordering. I ordered the scampi, fried lobster tail along with a blue candy Martini. Everyone really enjoyed their food from seafood boils, crabcakes, fried fish we all were very pleased. The service was fast/food hot we didn't wait 10 min for anything, we liked that! Inside there is a bar/tv and lots of seating. Very colorful blue bench style seating along the walls with low volume of music playing not bumping like a club just right. I can't wait to go back to try a few other drinks and order the fried lobster and scampi again. I'm ready for round two.

Yelp
So my cousin, I, and her friend decided to go here based off the Tik tok post without reading the Yelp reviews. We're from MD so are expectations are high for seafood boils but we also take into consideration it will not be made the same in other states. The parking lot is small. They offer valet unsure if it's a fee associated. We parked in front of Rose massage which appeared to be closed. The sign stated we could park there after hours so we parked n followed up with the hostess. The hostess informed us that we needed to provide the key to valet and advise where we parked to be moved. Well she was telling us the valet guy said we were good where we parked. After we checking in with the hostesses and informed her of our 10pm reservation we were directed to our table which was high top by the bar area. Shortly after we were greeted by Taylor S who wasn't personable at all. Looked as if she didn't wanna be at work and you could tell especially during the ordering process. My cousin ordered a strawberry lemonade, her friend order tap water, and I ordered bottled water. I was going to order a drink by when I asked recommendation she said the options were on the drink menu. Sis I know that. We ain't from here so recommendations pls. Move along. Even if you don't drink maybe that's what should have been said or provide popular drinks that are ordered. After taking the drink order she took the food order. My cousin ordered a combo hot, her friend ordered a combo mild, and I did the build your own bag with 1/2 pound shrimp, mussels, and sausage mild with a side of ramen noodles. Shortly after she returned with the drinks. She brought my cousin mango because she stated they were out of strawberry lemonade. My cousin agreed to give it try since she already brought it over. The cup the tap water was in was dirty. The cup with the ice I had was dirty as well so I drunk my water from the bottle since it was already chilled. My cousin friend requested a new cup due to the glass being dirty and the server took the cup inspecting the cup for the cleanliness. Moments later my cousin and her friend order came out. The food runner was nice. He greeted us when he approached the table. She had provided a bucket with utensils, gloves and bibs. Since they had place there order before mine she provided us a bucket with two bibs and three pairs of gloves. I asked her if she could bring me a bib she didn't until I asked another server. My food arrived shortly after their bags since I ordered a little after them. The bag lacked sauce and the sauce lack the flavor I expected. Considering I ordered the ramen noodles I figured the back would be saucy. After mixing the noodle in the little sauce that was available after two fork full I stopped eating it because the sauce had grainy taste to it. Gratuity is automatically included. We was so ready to go we split the check three ways giving addl 5% not knowing the gratuity was included until after we saw the print out of the bill. Until the level of service changes and the quality of food this wouldn't be a place I would return too.

Yelp
If i could give 0 stars, I would, in a heartbeat. The food was genuinely disgusting. The sausage tasted of pepperoni and the shrimp had absolutely no flavor. The drinks were practically juice, despite being nearly $20 each. Expensive prices for cheap and disgusting food. Parking is terrible as well. Overall I would genuinely never reccomend this place to anyone, and I'll surely never be back.

Yelp
Apparently this place has been here for a while but I never knew it! I'm not sure why this place isn't more popular because the food is very good! Both me and my friend had two snow crab clusters which automatically come with 1 potato, corn, and boiled egg. There is only one seasoning for the boil bags but you can get them mild, medium, hot, or extra hot. I got medium and my friend got hot but we both agreed that we could've went up another temperature. The flavor of the bags were good and the service was also very good ( went on a Wednesday night). Only con was that they don't serve wine and they don't have club soda or tonic water which is a bomber for girls tryna keep it cute and skinny lol. Also, valet is free, they only accept tips. I definitely recommend this place ! For the full vlog review, follow @theboogiefoodie on IG!

Yelp
This place honestly did not live up to its TikTok hype! I definitely believe the food was great and very well proportioned but on the other hand, I just felt as if the pricing was a little outrageous for some items! But the atmosphere definitely had great music. The service was mediocre, and the drinks were served well. I definitely want to take a second visit for the chances of a better experience.

Yelp
had the seafood eggrolls & a boil ; the eggrolls were alright the boil was alright as well , i'm not a fan of too much Cajun and that's all I could taste in the sauce and it's only one standard house sauce or you can get just garlic butter , i believe . good service & a nice ambiance

Yelp
The vibe was ok the day I went. My food was good, I ordered the Cajun pasta. However, I would recommend this place to a true seafood lover. Nonetheless, the service was good and the servers were a vibe! Certain music really turns this place up!

Yelp
Hmm let's see where to start ok I'm ready people said this place is over hyped but i never heard of it and I been in atl 4 years now . I asked last night how long this place been open and i was told coming up on two years in December, Anywho my friend was told about this place and we decided to try it out for dinner, based on the photos and food we seen online we thought we were coming to a nice sit down restaurant but that turned out not to be the case . It was crowded, small , loud and had very tight parking which you have to valet Park. I've had better this place looks nice on the outside as you can see my little pictures with the sun going down lol the valet guys and security we're very nice specially since it was raining they were a big help to me , my friend and my baby we had in the car seat by making sure we got into the car dry again shout out to them , Now back to the restaurant actual review this place is pricy and I'm not sure why the food was mediocre and did not match the price for the taste of the food , even the drinks were high alcohol wise just as well as the basic drinks no refills on anything juice it's a $1 for a refill on the drinks only soda has refills drinks are like $4 in foam cups . We both had the combo special at medium heat with a side of noodles which was $5 for ramen smh the medium seem to be hot for some reason it was making our nose run then on top of that it was VERY SALTY i know my blood pressure was high after eating that but who lets seafood go to waste . . . OVERALL REVIEW Food 4/10 Drink- sweet tea 2/10 Ambience None Service 5/10 but the guys working outside security and valet 10/10 thanks guys Seating 3/10 tight space Presentation none really

Yelp
AVOID THIS PLACE THEY OVER CHARGE YOUR CARD!!! PHOTOs ATTACHED!! I came in for dinner with a couple friends last week, the food was sub par to say the least and the service is literally below zero stars. BUT the part that you have to watch out for is they overcharge you on your bill. READ YOUR BILL CAREFULLY. I was charged twice in a matter of minutes for 400 DOLLARS. I immediately brought this up to management while I was there and when they re printed the receipt they ADDED A 20 PERCENT GRATUITY to the already wrong bill! Making it EVEN MORE! They made the guest count 8 when it was 4 so the auto gratuity kicked in I assume. They make sure to tack a PROCESSING FEE on there as well! This business will scam you, and if they think you aren't looking at your card receipt they will scam you even harder so watch yourself. This is a crappy restaurant that hides a card scamming operation.

Yelp
The curbside appeal could definitely be better... I always find myself a bit intimidated walking up to the door with some many people always standing outside loitering. But once you get through the doors, the food is actually not bad. I had the salmon basket with sweet potato fries three times now and it always is a hit. Drinks were super sweet but not bad either.
