Yelp
Stopped in almost by accident (had intended to dine nearby but that choice was jam packed and seemed to have more wing-eating kids than a Chuck E. Cheese). Glad I remembered this spot, which opened just about as the pandemic shutdown started. Glad they are still here and thriving!
The vibe is chill, laid-back neighborhood (sports) bar, with plenty of TVs and good sight lines. Dark wood furniture (mostly high tops) and beautiful wood floors. The bar is an island in the center, and the lighting is so much better than the bar that was here before, which was always lit up to 11 like a night game at Yankee Stadium or maybe an operating room. About 2 dozen draft offerings, including a nice local craft brew selection, plus a full bar. Friendly bar staff and not too crowded.
Order at the open kitchen counter at the back, get a number and wait to hear it. Had my food in a flash, before I had sipped half a pint at the bar. I tried the tenderloin kebab and a Scotty Hot Brat along with entirely too many french fries (which I devoured). The marinated tenderloin was juicy, tender and flavorful, and the brat had just a bit of heat, which I boosted with a few different hot sauces provided.
Spotlessly clean, fun, comfortable vibe, masks and sanitizer well in evidence and featuring spaced tables and a spacious patio, The Bon Aire is on my list for a return visit.
