"This Astoria gastropub is busy on weekends, so make a reservation if you plan on bringing a group, as you should. The Bonnie’s backyard patio is equipped with some big picnic tables where you can sit with your friends and eat fried pickles, a smashburger, or some fried fish tacos. "A casual bar in Queens with a backyard garden, picnic tables, and umbrellas. We shouldn't really need to sell this place anymore than that. Start the night off with one of their dirty pickle martinis or a spicy margarita. "The Bonnie is one of our favorite bars in Astoria for several reasons. First off, its tiled floors and big booths make us feel at home. It also has a backyard with picnic tables, as well as some better-than-average bar food. So if you find yourself hanging out with a few friends longer than expected, you can confidently order burrata and steak or tacos and cheese fries for dinner." - nikko duren
"The negroni at this Astoria bar is a bit different than typical negronis, since it comes with two kinds of vermouth (Dolin Rouge and Cocchi di Torino). "Unless you’ve been seeing someone for several years, a date at a pub generally isn’t the best idea. But when the pub has tiled floors, exposed brick walls, potted plants, and a big backyard with picnic tables and umbrellas, it just might work. That’s what The Bonnie is like, and it also has a big dinner menu with everything from burrata and steak to tacos and cheese fries.
