The Book Haus

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem in the Heart of New Braunfels! The Book Haus is hands down New Braunfels’ premier boutique bookstore. Whether you’re looking for brand new titles or well-loved used books, this place has it all—and then some. It’s cozy, thoughtfully curated, and brimming with charm. What truly sets The Book Haus apart is the incredible owner, Sabrina. She’s warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about books and the community. She made me feel right at home, and her recommendations were spot on. I love everything about this place—from the inviting atmosphere to the personal touch you just don’t get from big chains. It feels great to support a local business that gives so much back to our town. Highly recommend!

Delightful little bookstore tucked away in New Braunfels. I’ve been a few times now, and on my most recent visit I noticed they had more new titles than in the past, which was a nice surprise. The used books were priced super reasonably, and I was especially excited to see a small box dedicated to special editions and books with sprayed edges. They also have 'Blind Date with a Book' for about $15, as well as stationary items, super cute bookmarks, and more. I ended up picking up a couple of books for myself and my niece. We stopped in on a Saturday about thirty minutes before closing, but never felt rushed and were able to take our time browsing (rest assured we did not keep them past closing!) The first thing my niece asked when we were about to leave was if we could come back, so I definitely see more visits to the Book Haus in our future!

I could tell immediately there was a lot of love put into this book store. I have no idea if the "Blind Date With A Book" is a unique idea to them or a bookie thing in general, but I love it.

I love this place, very cozy and homey. Has the new book smell as I walked in, prices were very low and reasonable and the people were very friendly and nice. Will definitely come back again. 10/10

Love this sweet little book shop! They have a wide range of topics and good prices. The shop manager is very nice and was able to help us find exactly what we wanted immediately. The shop itself is bright and cheerful; a lovely place to spend awhile browsing the books and gifts. There's a great little kid's corner, too. So glad we have a good book shop in town!

Book lovers get excited!! We have another great affordable location to stock our shelves. The Book Haus offers a variety of gently used books to be read again by other book lovers. They also have a great selection of gifts for book lovers. They occasionally accept books as credit for purchase within the store. You will need to check in advance if they are ready for more books. I will be returning on a regular basis to purchase more. (No such thing as "too many books" - right?)

The book selection was limited, lacking some popular and classic novels. Additionally, despite being a small store with only a couple other people, we were not greeted or assisted in any way. It was generally incongruent with my experience at other independent bookstores.
