The Most Fantastic Philly Brunch Cocktails | Eater Philly

"Philly’s first off-leash dog bar is the perfect spot to brunch with your friends, including the furry ones with four legs. Here, bloody marys and bloody marias can be made to your spice tolerance and are garnished with fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, and a gherkin. As a bonus, each is accompanied by a chaser of beer." - George Banks-Weston

The Hottest New Restaurants in Philly, January 2024

"Finally a place for pups to dine swell, alongside their owners as well. This fun new spot has an entire menu dedicated to dogs — along with entrées and cocktails for humans (such as their crabby patties, pulled pork sandwiches, and their spirited maple bourbon old fashions). Now dog-sitting doesn’t have to be configured into having a good night out." - Ernest Owens

I loved this place; it is well thought out, and the service is excellent. They have considered everything about pets; it was very nice to finally find a place where pet owners are understood. The food was really cool, and our little Pomeranian was very happy there eating delicious treats. Please do not miss this great experience.

I took my 3 1/2 month old puppy Cora to The Boozy Mutt to meet with some friends and their dogs. We had a great time! My puppy loved meeting and playing with the other dogs. The bar had an indoor and outdoor space where dogs could roam freely and socialize off leash safely. The staff is very friendly and helpful there. The Rufferees did a great job looking after the dogs making sure they were safe and playing appropriately. The food and drinks at The Boozy Mutt are tasty too.I will definitely be taking Cora back there for some more doggy fun. Please open up another bar in the suburbs, West Chester or KOP.

I live 1.5 hours away so unfortunately I don’t get to go as often but that should say enough that I drive this far to come here. It is such a cute place, the staff is helpful especially the refs that are taking care of the dogs, they are actually watching for any aggressive behaviors and will separate if needed which is so so helpful. My dog always has a GREAT time.

Drinks, food, and off-leash pups? Count us in! We visited Philly with our pup Milo and didn’t want to leave him behind at the hotel—then we discovered this amazing spot. Registering Milo was quick and easy, and from the moment we walked in, the friendly and attentive staff made us feel right at home. Milo had a blast running around with his new paw friends and loved the pawtatoes! Unfortunately, they were out of the beef patties, but that just gives us an excuse to come back soon. The drink options were great, and we enjoyed every bit of our visit. They also have gluten free buns to enjoy those delicious burgers. Overall, an incredible experience! Boozy Mutt, please open a location in NJ/NYC—we can’t wait to visit again 😊

If I could give this spot ten stars I would!! We live in northeast Pa (about 2 hours away) and this is the second time we’ve visited the Boozey Mutt! We brought our dog to Philly twice for concerts this past year and have stayed over. We are so happy we found this park for our Shelby to play at before heading home! If we lived closer we would be there every weekend! I can’t say enough great things about this place! The whole atmosphere is incredible! From the Rufferies, the employees, the food (delicious!!) and the doggies that come to play! The swimming pools out today were the best part! Our girl had so much fun jumping in and playing with her new friends! I wish you guys could open another location in NEPA!! lol we can’t wait to come back to visit!!!!

I brought my dog here 2x so far and we absolutely love it here! The food is AMAZING! The staff are super friendly, attentive and go out of their way to get to know you and your pup to make sure everyone is having a great experience. We drive 1hr each way each time just to come here! My 5month old puppy loves coming here and getting the socialization he needs from humans and dogs alike!

Google
Had a great time with my dog here. People were friendly and there were lots of friendly pups to have him play with. Didn't end up getting food or drinks but both looked good. Loved that they had moderators in the yard (who were friendly and observant) watching the dogs and making sure the owners kept an eye on their dogs.

Google
1000% highly recommend. This is the spot to cure a bad day or long week of work. Delicious drinks, delicious food, fantastic staff, and all the best doggos! I think this place would be great anytime, but Saturday brunch was perfection. I legit could spend the whole day here. 10 out of 10!

Yelp
My friends and I heard about this place and wanted to stop by to hang out with some pups. Even though we don't have any pets, we were still welcome to visit, which I thought was great! Before entering the staff help you fill out an electronic waiver -- the staff were very helpful and friendly, making sure that we were taken care of. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area with plenty of space for dogs to run around. As for the menu, there is a variety of option for food -- think your standard bar food such as fries, hot dogs, sandwiches and whatnot. There was also a good variety of drinks available to grab. I didn't think the food or drinks were outstanding, but they were solid and worth to me for the experience. If you wanted to get something for your furry friend, there is also a food menu for dogs! The Boozy Mutt also has different events on the day of week, such as Trivia on Tuesday. There are also certain days of the month where there will be specific events such as dog breed meet ups. The website has a lot of helpful information that answered a lot of my questions. I will definitely be coming back here sometime soon to hang out!

Yelp
This is a cute, fun resto/bar that lets dog owners and dog appreciators hang out all together with four legged furry friends! The location is pretty good being near the Fairmount Park area but the street parking is *rough* right now due to all the construction and potholes. It seemed like a hazard to cross the street even but the restaurant has no control over that but just be mindful of the parking around! As for the place, it's cute and has a front check in area with merchandise. You pass through the gate and you're in the bar area and an exit to the patio area with some tables and an area for dogs to play. There isn't a lot of AC happening so if you're outside on a hot day try to nab a seat near a fan. The issues I had with this place was the food situation. The food itself was tasty but very very black peppery and so many onions I am sure I became Shrek's metaphor. Moreover, there wasn't really any one person distinguishable as a server. You have to order drinks at a separate counter inside so if you're outside you run the risk of losing your seat (happened to me rip). I asked for cream with my coffee and got non-dairy milk carton that also stated it contained milk. I wonder how a lactose intolerant person would feel about that... The payment system was also very confusing. You open a tab at the bar/drink window which also serves as the pay area for your check...but the credit card you use to mobile order your food gets automatically charged. The employees seemed confused about it too so maybe they are working out the kinks. Ultimately, a cute place to visit once and then write a review about. Might be cute for dogs but there weren't any toys available for them so maybe not.

Yelp
TLDR: The food comes in large portions that can be enjoyed by dogs or people alike. The plate I got was extremely salty, but none of my friends seemed to have that issue. I just had water with my food, but one friend said that the drinks are really good here as well. The large and enclosed astroturf area out back is the perfect place for dogs of all sizes and ages to run around and play. Right when you enter the building, you are welcomed by a small merch shop with hats, T-shirts, dog toys, and more. Dogs you wish to bring here must be registered at the kiosk and evaluated first, but you can also come here if you don't have a dog to bring. After scanning your ID, the friendly staff let you through two small gates to the main area. There are tables and chairs with long legs throughout the interior, so the chances of a pup stealing something off the table is less likely. In the back "yard" are picnic tables and lawn chairs that are much closer to the ground. Drinks and food are ordered at the small window inside or through your phone. There are QR codes all around that link you to the menu. I found mobile ordering system to be a bit confusing because it gave me an order number after I selected my item to checkout with and even texted me, but it didn't actually go through. I waited maybe 15 minutes before I realized the order never went through. I ended up ordering The Boozy Mutt Omelet and picked it up at the window on the side. I don't know why they don't automatically hand you a fork or spoon when you order foods that are clearly not finger foods, but it's fine. I just asked the staffmember for one when one came back to the counter. The food came with a LOT of potatoes! Both the potatoes and omelet were so salty that I had a bit of trouble eating it all. It was pretty pricey at $17 though, so I wasn't about to waste any of it. The staff here are all really nice and friendly. I really like how their rufferies around the restaurant were really adament about cleaning up after doggy messes and continually made sure to watch them. Some even remembered the many dogs by name. I had a lot of fun watching all the different dogs play and occasionally petting them. They were all really well behaved, so the restaurant's screening process must be really good! Overall, I think this place is good. I am willing to try their other foods even if my meal was not the best. I am optomistic that it was just a fluke. I also just love dogs and think their cuteness makes up for the food not being very palatable.

Yelp
Very great dog themed bar with the inside gated portion for dogs to run around and play in. Once you sign the waiver and enter from their merch shop into the inner bar area, there's lots of seating inside and outside. Decent food and drink selection. Mondays are dollar dog night as well. The staff were great especially in maintaining friendliness from the dogs outside. The place is very well maintained, and it's a fun atmosphere whether you're a human or a dog! Thanks

Yelp
Great place to bring your fur babies and the staff and people are friendly. This was Mr. P first time and he was tired when he left from playing with his new friends. See you soon .

Yelp
Boozy Mutt is great. If you're a dog parent and you're looking for something fun to do with your dog this is it. A dog park with a restaurant attached. I went opening night and food was spotty. Cheese Curds were good (and free for opening night TY!)...the chicken sandwich was enormous and good. Was a little overdone but it was opening night. Espresso Martini was good, beer was cold. This has an inside and outside so a good spot to go when it's chilly. Let the dogs get some runs and sniffs in while you have a beer. Upside : Food is much better than Bark Social (their competitor in the area). Dogs can be on the inside here while they can't at Bark Social. Downside : Running park is much smaller than Bark Social. It's fishtown, parking sucks but if you're local it's a great option.

Yelp
Stopped in for a second time today and my Shiba and i had lunch. I had the smash burger with truffle fries and my Shiba had the sweet potato tots. The burger was really good and the truffle fries were so tasty. No other dogs this afternoon so my pup had the run of the house. The staff are super friendly and they all just adore my Shiba! She loves it too. We will be sure to go again soon. A couple suggestions would be that if there were a live camera feed on the website, then customers can see the activity and if having the day pass it would be great to pop over when i can see several dogs present. Also, for slow days, like Mondays, maybe a house dog would be nice so single patrons like myself bringing a single dog could be guaranteed a fur friend. My Shiba would gladly apply for the role. Thanks again Boozy Mutt, we both had a great day today. See ya again soon

Yelp
Fantastic place! The facility is legitimately spotless and the staff is caring, kind and loving towards the pups. We applied for membership on a Saturday morning and were approved within 5 mins. Came in for brunch and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the breakfast sammie! Our elderly dog Bella had a blast. We ordered her the sweet potato tots (which she inhaled) and then let her wobble around the backyard section with some huskies. 10/10 experience, we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Great venue, food and service. Such fun! Our dog had a great time too. Clean, well planned safe space for dogs to socialize. Creative drink and food menu. Food and drinks were great; service outstanding A great evening out with our granddog.

Yelp
Amazing time attending a bday party for my neighbors' dog. It was my 1 y/o puppy's first time at a dog park setting and the "Rufferies" made her experience extremely enjoyable. She was thoroughly exhausted from partying with old and new friends! Beer and cocktail selection was great, cheese curds were some of the best I've had! 4 out of 5 only due to the parking situation in the area.

Yelp
This place is listed as a restaurant but it's actually a bar. We drove 20 min to get there only to be turned away because my son is under 21. If it was properly listed as a bar we wouldn't have driven there.

Becky C.

Yelp
The idea of this place is awesome! I was a little timid if so many dogs and different breeds mixing- but the "rufferee's" step right in even at the sound of an odd bark. They even pick up after your doggo and clean the turf right there! The food and drinks were also great! It's somewhat self serve but there are people around that are very helpful! I would say my only complain is that I couldn't go lay in the turf and just pet all the dogs!!

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about the Boozy Mutt. There was no shortage of friendly people and dogs. Travis was great as the host/"ruffaree" ensuring everything ran smoothly and everyone felt welcome. The food was excellent, the Brussels were a standout. Beer selection was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. Will recommend to everyone we know.

Yelp
The Boozy Mutt is the perfect place to go if you have a dog, or want to spend time with them. No guilt about leaving the pup him, and excellent food and drink. So glad they opened this year!

Yelp
What an amazing experience. The two great danes had a fabulous time and the two owners did too.... We came for brunch and stayed through lunch... The dogs had their little treats which were perfectly made by the chef at awesome prices. And we had our amazing gourmet brunches with a wonderful list of cocktails to go with it.. The fact that the dogs can go inside and eat with you is wonderful and that they can go outside and play is also excellent.... What a great place for humans and dogs alike. Highly recommended and not to mention it is absolutely beautiful on the eyes. Services excellent, Food is amazing, People are wonderful, Add, it really is such a dynamic place. To be at that you get lost in the vortex of time.
