What a gem! The Botanical Bar has such a welcoming, vibrant energy the moment you walk in. It's clear that a lot of thought goes into curating this space. The plant selection is absolutely lovely - whether you're a seasoned plant parent or just starting out, there's something for everyone. I also appreciate that they've expanded beyond just plants to include a wonderful variety of gifts that make it easy to find something special. I have to give a special shout-out to their card section, which is genuinely one of the best I've come across. And the plant spray? Chef's kiss. It's those little touches that show they really understand what plant lovers need. The overall vibe of the store makes you want to linger and browse. It's become one of my favorite spots in Indianapolis, and I always leave inspired (and usually with more plants than I planned on!). Highly recommend stopping by if you haven't yet!

The Botanical Bar is such a gem! The shop is beautifully curated and full of unique plants, from tropicals to carnivorous varieties. I picked up a pitcher plant here, and I love that they had plants I don’t usually see in other shops. The vibe is cozy, welcoming, and perfect for plant lovers. The staff is friendly and helpful, and you can tell they truly care about creating a great experience. Definitely one of my new favorite plant shops in Indy, I’ll be back!

My favorite plant shop in the city! The vibe here is impeccable. The thoughtfulness and beauty of the space is nurturing to all senses– aesthetically, olfactorily, aurally, and ephemerally. Steph is warm, friendly, Accommodating, and has great knowledge of all things house plant. Also, as a non-drinker, I love The offering of mocktails and NA wine. So happy to have a place like this downtown!

The staff members were extremely helpful throughout my visit, offering great assistance. Their extensive knowledge of the plants was truly impressive and appreciated. It made the process of selecting plants much more enjoyable and easy. I highly recommend visiting this shop for any plant-related needs.

I have purchase a few plants from this place Golden pathos, money tree, snow queen pathos And I got a chance to meet the owner Victoria, And her employee Elias is very knowledgeable about plants, and made my experience selecting a new plant baby, the best experience ever. I also love that this is a black owned business that creates a safe space for all. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Teddy is absolutely a gem. The surgery he performed along on our Baby Pathos along with the education he extended relieved our anxiety about our continuing our plant parenting journey.

This is such a cute place in Indianapolis. I saw it on TikTok when I just landed and I thought that I should do a visit when I had free time. The owner was extremely welcoming when I entered and engaged me in conversation. This is primarily a store for plants and flowers so while I couldn't carry anything on a plane ride, there was a nice selection. The owner was knowledgeable about plants and helped me to remember a plant that I wanted. Plus they had plant accessories too. This place also had beverages (non alcoholic) and gifts in general to accent the home. Definitely not a once stop shop but a cute selection to ponder. Definitely a place to visit

I went to The Botanical Bar on Sunday November 23rd there was an event there that day, and since I was close by decided to go checkout place. Now, before I went there I've heard great things about the plant show in the city. The Botanical Bar is black-owned and woman-owned plant show, and the location is very close to downtown as well as in the old Northside location. The owner of The Botanical Bar her name is Victoria which she's very professional, known in the city, juggle various things, knows a lot about plants. I'm not a plant girly yet, but when I walked in The Botanical Bar I felt the warmth, the urge to want to learn more about plants especially the ones that's great for a person who suffers from allergies. The Botanical Bar sell the following items plants, dirty, wine, non alcoholic beverages, journals, bday cards, sage, crystals. Etc. The Botanical Bar shop not too big, but it's honestly just perfect for those plants. Now, during my time there I didn't buy anything just was there for the vibes, music, and checking out the place. One, of the staff members at The Botanical Bar he was very friendly, people person, loves wearing green, and huge on the plant life. Unfortunately, I forgot to get his name since it was slightly loud in the plant shop. The service at The Botanical Bar the day I went friendly, fast, customers were helped from the staff smiling faces, and overall I felt really good connection at that shop. I can't wait to go back to buy my first plant.

Quiet and roomy planty shop I visited The Botanical Bar on a Saturday for the first time. I didn't have any issues finding street parking and was greeted with lots of green and plant related goods for sale. Not sure if it was the day of the week I visited, but there was not much variety as most of the plants for sale were pothos (and they were a little pricey for their size). I did like their selection of colorful, sleek planters!

I love this place! First, it has a great aesthetic! I've been here twice, and both times the women working were very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a range of plants, which are marked (helpful for new plant parents such as myself). And the markings say whether or not they are pet friendly which is great! The first time I went I left with some plants and pots. The second time I went for an event where we were able to paint our pots and then the owner taught us some basic plant care tips and tricks and how to repot a plant. My partner came along and he had a blast too! They also have a repotting station you can come in and use to repot into bigger plants. Also, they have their own in-house indoor potting soil you can purchase.

They have a build-your-own Valentine's Day bouquet going now through Thursday and I loved every second of it. They had beautiful options to choose from and I loved chatting with owner Victoria while doing it. The shop is amazing, the staff are always wonderful, and they're located next to Leviathan, so you can get flowers and croissants all in one swoop. What could be better?!

I was feeling the warm weather and making it feel like spring so I decide to go to a plant shop, this place is small but I think they have enough variety of plants for everyone, definitely great to check out, I bought 2 succulents which was $3/each Cute little plant store! Don't let the name fool you because they don't sell any drinks ;)

My friend surprised me and took me on a date here. He knows how much I LOVE plants and how my daddy and I used to tap into our green thumbs together. It was really thoughtful that he brought me here as he passed from covid. The owner is really nice and helpful and I of course was happy when I found out it was black owned. The plants are beautiful and the vibes are there. I kinda wish there was more to do there as the place is so warm and inviting. Maybe wine tasting or something haha but all in all we loved it there! Pros Black owned Customer service Calm and relaxing Cons Small but that's not really a con?

What a cute shop! Victoria, the owner, is so nice and so helpful with her knowledge. I love that the plants are marked with pet friendly or not notes. Genius idea! The shop has small plants and some home goods as well like planters, candles and cards. Street parking is easy. I can't wait to go back and pick up more plants. This time I got a watermelon peperomia and a moon valley pilea!

This is a beautiful space. They have mostly small tabletop plants, and a few bigger options too. Their pricing is affordable. There are cute plant pots and plant care items too. And gift items to celebrate one's affection for houseplants. The employees are friendly and helpful.

What a cute place!! First time coming and they were celebrating their anniversary. There's parking around so not an issue. The young lady that was there was super sweet and helpful. Brought my only plant in today to repot it but ended up purchasing a much needed bigger size pot and she helped me get the right size. Love that they had the repotting station so my plant can continue to thrive. Also learned a new feature on my iPhone thanks to her to figure out what plant I own' check this place out' she's got all types of plants and the pots are unisex and just all the best colors!

I love the Botanical Bar. I've gotten all my plants from there and they have a wide selection. The plants were very reasonably priced and the woman running the store was knowledgeable and helpful. Go here for all your plant needs!

While not officially open as of this review, there has been a pop-up shop to get rid of inventory while the business waits for the official opening date (tbd). First things first: I own too many houseplants. But, that will never stop me from getting more. I've been ecstatic to know this place is opening close to my apt so I wanted to check out and support this local business. The owner also happens to be the executive director of Growing Places Indy. The pop up didn't have as much as they normally would, but there was a nice variety. The pricing was nice, more expensive than a chain like Menards or Lowes, but less than other fancy boutiques. I ended up walking out with a Swiss cheese vine-type monstera, a gorgeous pot, and a free peace lilly! I can't wait for the official open date but be sure to stop by this place for all your houseplant needs.

How cool is this place? I'm never that great with plants, full transparency.....but The Botanical bar makes it soooooooo easy. I went for our event, and they not only had plants but bags and planners as well. It's such a great Ambiance and the coolest location which is right next door to the Garage. I love that when you purchase plants and it tells you when to water which for a plant novice like me really helps. I can't wait to return I saw about three plants I want.

What a great little plant shop! They have a nice variety of plants and some other plant related supplies. In addition they have herb infused products, like drink mixers and coffee. Each plant comes with a care card that tells you about what kind of light & how much water they need as well as whether or not it's pet friendly. The owner is super nice! She knows what she's doing and she loves it. Definitely stop in and pick up a plant to brighten your space!

Amazzziinngg! That was me singing, BTW. Do, I recently became a plant mom in March or April of this year. I never imagined I would find so much joy in plants l; I had a black thumb in that area. A couple of months ago, I was watching Fox News social media live and noticed Sherman was at this plant bar. I was instantly drawn in by the words "plant, bar." I knew I had to make rounds to stop by for a visit. Guess what? I DID IT! Omg, what a wonderful experience it was. This is the spot all plant parents should visit often. The owner is so friendly and helpful. The ambience is magical. If plants could go out to bars, this one would have a line out the door. Like seriously, all the plants and there would love it. Have you checked out their website? They even have a MONTHLY plant SUBSCRIPTION that is DELIVERED to your door. Monthly+subscription+delivered = game changer!!

Stopped in here to check out this new plant shop! Really great location, super close to bottle works with parking in a shared parking lot or street parking (free). When we walked in we were greeted and were the only ones in there at the time. There was really nice Neo Soul music playing in the background and it is a very calming atmosphere. We asked a couple questions about a couple different plants and received good answers. What I will say as a new business (it's been open one week) they should come from behind the desk and actually interact more with the customers. Maybe ask are they new plant owners, what type of lighting you have, just questions in general. I felt like we were just walking around and not knowing what were looking at. They were waiting for me to ask questions and that isn't going to hold up well If you don't interact and get some long term customers by building relationships. The pricing is also a tad high. For a medium size one colored pot it's about $30. I will be back at some point to purchase a plant once I get a better understanding as to what is what.

This small business is home to a wide variety of plants and accessories. The design and layout create a comfortable atmosphere and the reasonable prices allow there to be something for everyone. The staff I encountered were friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed browsing around and discovering some plants that I had never seen before. I also enjoyed checking out the selection of plant pots that come in several different colors. Looking forward to another visit!

I went to the grand opening for the botanical bar today and was blown away by the plant selection, the aesthetics and the hospitality of the staff. The owner was there and would explain the plants to you. The bar was fully stocked with botanical liquors which was very on theme and I thought that was a very nice touch. For the bar, they had a cash or a cash app option I believe. If you needed a pot, they had pots in every size and color. All of the plants were healthy and well taken care of. I ended up buying a cute plant. I believe it is a philodendron Brasil. I am new to being a plant parent so I'm not an expert. Regardless, I am excited to go back and see how this store evolves.

Came to The Botanical Bar for my first Yelp Elite event. I've been meaning to come by so I'm glad I finally did! The store is great. Very wide selection of plants and other items. (See photo for my haul!) Easy street parking right out front. Owner answered all my questions! I'll be back.

Super cute shop! A little smaller than I expected but they still have a great arrangement of plants to choose from. Each plant comes with a tag indicating how much to water it-- it's super helpful!!

I just went to the opening party on Saturday, and this shop is so cute! The atmosphere was super fun, and the shop gave me some major apartment design inspiration. For not being a huge space, I thought they had a great range of plants, pots and fun gifts. This shop is a bit on the pricier end, but I think you're paying for quality items and the ability to talk to knowledgeable people. I also love that they offer design help, potting, maintenance, etc. for those of us who may love plants but not know much about them.

We visited here on opening weekend and it was such a great experience. They were super busy but the staff was super attentive and helpful. I purchased a few plants and pots and their advice was spot on. The space is very inviting and welcoming and I love that they have music playing that creates a great vibe. Will absolutely be back and will purchase from them again

I've purchased 3 plants from The Botanical Bar. I purchased my first plant when they were having a pop up in the Good Neighbor storefront near bottleworks. I purchased my second plant shortly after the grand opening of The Botanical Bar and then I purchased my third plant on Sunday. I love the location, as it is easy to get to and located near some of my favorite businesses. I was most impressed with my latest visit, as I received a warm welcome and help with my house plant questions. This weekend they were running a fun promotion with a sale on all plants. I also appreciate that the name of the plant as well as the care instructions now come with the plant, as my previous purchases did not.

Came here with a friend as we had just heard it was new and we could not get enough! The vibes from the neon sign to the couch is so cute!!! Can't help but take in all the greenery and plants as well. The owner Victoria was super sweet and answered any questions we had! She had stated they were still waiting on more space to place the bar and hopefully she would start some plant potting/care classes soon! We will definitely be back once the bar is open and to take a class!

The hours both online and on their sign said open; but it was dark inside and the door was locked, with no explanation on a sign or anything. Drove quite a ways out of the way to visit. Call before you go.

I had the pleasure of attending the Grand Opening. All I can say is Wow. This place is amazing. There were so many plants and home accents to purchase from. All of the plants were so healthy! The Customer Service was great and everyone was very helpful. The owner was so personable and not only a plant store owner but she is also a Farmer. She was able to answer all the questions I had regarding plants. If you are a 1st time plant parent or you already have multiple babies, make sure you check this place out!

The Botanical Bar is easily the most practical plant shop in Indy. That's a strong statement to make, because there are tons of new and great plant stores in the city, but hear me out. Most plant stores leave me feeling like I either spent a lot of money on someone else's labor, or like there's no way I could keep a greenbaby alive. But the Botanical Bar is full of tools, tricks, and tips to keep plants alive, not to mention the expertise of the staff. From the potting room in the back to the selection of books, propagators, fertilizers, and traps, this business feels thoughtfully designed to make home gardening accessible to everyone. I feel less like I'm walking into a museum or botanical garden, and more like I'm in a curated wishlist of everything I need to get my plant life together. If you're looking to start growing things inside, this should be your first stop.

Victoria is very knowledgeable and helpful plus her place is a whole vibe!! She has a great selection of plants and takes the time to educate you on what it is you're buying! Plus she's a whole Black Queen!! My favorite place to buy plants!!

This place could not be more adorable, inspiring or zen. From the instant we walked in, I just felt happy. The plants are everywhere, as should be expected in a plant store, but also feel like decor rather than inventoried items. The wallpaper, quote and additional items for sale all give the best vibes. Beyond all this, the owner is extremely helpful, offering advice and guidance. For the pet parents, plants are labeled as recommended or not, indicated by a paw print- how much more helpful could you ask for?

I had been hoping to check out this cute little spot for several week, and I finally made it in to buy some planters. The store is chic and simple with the cutest plant accessories and a variety of indoor plants to choose from. The store owner is very friendly and helpful and offers some sales on some of the merchandise from time to time. It is in a fun location next door to leviathan so it's a perfect stop to make with a coffee in hand.
