The Botanist is unlike anywhere else in Bakersfield. My partner and I came here for my birthday, and the moment we walked in, the atmosphere struck us — dim, ethereal lighting that makes the world outside feel far away, giving you privacy and presence all at once. It’s the kind of setting that makes every conversation feel more meaningful. The drinks are true works of art — botanical, layered, and memorable in every sip. The food matches that same creativity, balancing comfort and innovation. Their loaded fries are pure indulgence, their tacos pack freshness and fire, and their vegan smash burger (yes, plant-based!) is hands down the most flavorful one in Bakersfield. What I love most is how both their meat and vegan options shine equally. It’s a place where everyone at the table feels catered to, without compromise. Absolutely loved this gem of a spot. The drinks were amazing, the gals behind the bar were friendly and helpful and the menu had vegan options. Had the very best night out in a long time.

It's a beautiful nostalgic place with french vintage decor and an inviting vibe. The only one thing I would say they need to improve is attention to the customers..too many times I'm waiting more than 30 min to get someone at my table to start with the first drink...other than, I enjoy dining here.

As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. This place is expensive, but, the food, service, and atmosphere makes it well worth it. The Botanist is a Bar and Grill, I don't know if that is right. I think it should be a Grill and Bar because the food outshines the alcohol any day of the week. My Server was great, very nice and very attentive. I have been to The Botanist twice. I have not been disappointed neither time. I eat only Vegan since December 1, 2024 and choices are few in Bakersfield. However, I was told about The Botanist and I am glad I went. The first time I got the Vegan Smash Burger and Fries. Glory be, it was great. This last time, I got the Vegan Tacos and Vegan Loaded Fries. They put the Smash Burger to shame. My friends got the regular Loaded Fries, a Chicken Burger and a Smash Burger. They loved their meal. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BOTANIST.

First time here & as soon as you walk in, you are greeted with an awesome bar! Indoor & patio seating, we decided to sit outside which is a really nice patio area, totally private and quiet from outside noise. Our server was very attentive & placed our order immediately, there was not too long of a wait for our order. Our smash burgers were delicious, as our cocktails were on point. Definitely recommend this place for cocktails, the bartender tonight was amazing!

Been here a few times and it's such a neat spot to take people. Super vibesy inside and lots of fun drinks: alcohol selection is as expected of a bar and mocktails are equally good. Flatbread with the olive tapenade and tzatziki is incredible. Smash burger, challah french toast, and fish and chips are wonderful. The chicken sandwich is a little lackluster and contrary to its description, is not spicy at all. That said, overall a solid place.

This was one of the most disappointing and insulting dining experiences I’ve had in Bakersfield. I brought my mom here for lunch, she has hearing difficulties and we politely asked if we could sit somewhere quieter or if the music could be turned down just slightly. The hostess dismissed the request and wouldn’t even acknowledge asking a manager. When our server arrived, she immediately shot down the request, saying the “owners require” the music to be at a certain level. Mind you, the restaurant was almost completely empty. Then, instead of showing any empathy or even attempting to accommodate, the music was actually turned up even louder within minutes of our request. That felt deliberate and incredibly disrespectful, not only ignoring a guest’s accessibility need but actively making it worse. Hospitality 101 is about making guests feel welcome and comfortable. Instead, we were met with rigid excuses, zero flexibility, and a complete lack of compassion. We left after finishing our drinks, went to another restaurant, and won’t be returning. If you value basic courtesy or customer service, I strongly suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

We had a fantastic experience at The Botanist! While I regret forgetting the bartender’s name, she was absolutely wonderful and crafted some incredible drinks—cheers to her and the team of ladies! The cocktails here are far from your typical vodka and soda; they’re thoughtfully crafted for those with more adventurous taste buds. If you’re a fan of unique, bold flavors, this is definitely the place to explore some new drinks. The food was also flavorful and delicious. The Smash Burger was cooked perfectly. It also came out really fast. Just a heads-up: sandwiches and burgers don’t come with sides, so plan accordingly. Overall, The Botanist offers a great blend of creative cocktails and tasty dishes. If you’re looking for something beyond the ordinary, this spot is a must-visit!

Can I just say, I am absolutely obsessed with the vibes and aesthetic of this place. The overall atmosphere is cozy, romantic, and fun. Vibe service is friendly and truly caring. We got such a nice and helpful waiter. She was amazing. Now the good part. The drinks and food! The tea time for two was so good, flavorful, and such the perfect combination of flavors to really feel like you're just sipping on tea with a kick. The food was delicious and I absolutely need to come back to explore more of their menu. Overall a great place for a night with your girls or romantic date night!

The Good? Cool Gothic Speakeasy vibes. The bad? The volume of the music. Makes conversation difficult. My friend asked the waitstaff if they could turn the volume down. Their response was the boss prefers it. Good choice of music, though. Also, it is a little too dark. I used my phone's flashlight to look at the menu. The mediocre? The food. Small menu. Limited choices. Additionally, separate charge for French Fries unless you're ordering fish & chips. Which I did. Average. Good tzatziki, though. The portions are small for the price. All in all, nice set-up. Pricey but perhaps that is intentional as they want to extend the bougie atmosphere.

The Botanist is chic, special and very intimate. It's a place that is great to go with a friend or date or group. It checks all the boxes. An added plus is that it is open every day. The drinks and food are amazing and ingredients are extremely well thought out. I have a lot of favorites but really love the grilled cheese with veggies. Amazing!! Everyone is inviting and friendly from the moment you enter. I always feel as if I entered through a special portal. It is so uniquely decorated and arranged. You sometimes feel as if you are in a movie. Again, the smallest details are well thought out. I really encourage you to have your own experience and I know it will be a good one!

Always love it when Bakersfield gets cool things! Botanist is a good fancy place for hanging out, taking out business partners, or feeling like you don't live in Bakersfield. I really admire the decor in this place as I bet sourcing everything took a lot of work! The bar looks insane, and I would really like to know if most of this stuff was DIY. Immaculate vibes. This place gets full fast so make sure you come early! They have limited seating, so you may have to be close to some other patrons. The bartenders were the nicest. Feel free to ask them questions about their seasonal creations!

This place was a much needed and appreciated stop on my way to Visalia for a convention. I had the smash burger and the pineapple mocktail, absolutely incredible. The bartender and the host were very nice and pleasant, it was very refreshing to have such a lovely meal in a town that was otherwise lacking,

I came here because I was recommended to. First of all, the vibes are so cute. I love the decor. It has this fun vintage vibe that is full of character. It's just colorful and very fun. The ambiance is awesome. The hostesses and bartenders are all really pleasant and wonderful as well. I got the Smash burger and the Green Dukkah fries along with the Lady Gray Mocktini. I also asked for the bartender to make me another mocktail however she wanted to and that one was yummy too. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend all of it. The burger is a big burger, definitely a messy eat but super good. I think the fries are super yummy too with the aioli. I honestly even wanted more aioli. It was so yum. I really enjoyed my time there and I would definitely come back again. This is a gem. PS: We came during Happy Hour so there was a good bit of parking in their designated lot off to the side but I am not sure how it gets during peak hours. However, there looks to be tons of parking around from what I seen.

This place is chefs kiss. We were in Bakersville from Ventura and picked the right place! The seasonal cocktails were great, as was the Brie appetizer, smash burger and halloumi salad. We sat at the bar and our bartender server was great. Also what a cute place, very cool! Will definitely return when in the area!

It was my second time visiting the Botanist! The location is in what you'd call "Eastchester" with other trendy breweries and cafes nearby. The building is cute and with plenty of capacity. The interior decor is dark and full of ambiance. I appreciated the interesting decor pieces unlike anything else in Bakersfield. Our bartender was friendly and helpful, explained ingredients and answered our questions. We opted for a Cranberry Sour and an Encanto. Both delicious with fresh ingredients! All staff members were attentive to our needs I also enjoyed the chill music and overall vibe. The Botanist also has a kitchen which I would love to try next time!

Diamonds to The Botanist for providing a memorable dining experience and making me feel right at home during my overnight stay in Bakersfield for Memorial Day weekend. The well-designed atmosphere immediately transported me back to an award-winning speakeasy that I frequented during my time living in Baltimore. The food and craft cocktails were impeccable. Additionally, the service was absolutely top notch. It was the perfect ending to a long travel day that involved driving from Vegas/Henderson to Los Angeles to Bakersfield. Tens across the board!

Food quality is pretty top notch for Bakersfield. Great ambiance and the drinks were really good. Plenty of parking available via street or their lot. Food/Drink- 5 stars Crunchy shrimp burger- this was really good with a good amount of shrimp to go with the batter. Great hearty meal to go with a nice cocktail Lady Lavender- simple but really well mixed. I really enjoyed my meal and drink Service- 5 stars Servers were all pretty attentative despite the busy weekend Bottom Line Love the revitalization of Downtown Bakersfield with more modern restaurants. Worth the hype with the quality food

The food is amazing! They are friendly and serve you fast. I went with my friend in the evening and it was pretty busy but we still got sat right away.

LOVED. I was just passing through bakersfield on a national park road trip so it was a quick drop in here, but I came around 9 after dinner on my way to my airbnb and got a very girly, lavender colored seasonal cocktail (the lady lavender) which hit RIGHT. The bartender rec'd it when I asked for something floral, and it was perfect ($14.75). The vibes inside are low light and kinda old school-Tudor looking. Would be perfect for a date night, but I also really enjoyed just sitting at the bar with my cocktail in peace Would def come back the next time I'm in Bakersfield!!

It's trendy and it's got a line. There's tons of great reviews and people recommend it. But... The service is standard, respectful, but not very personable. I love the patio space, they've made it an insulated space away from the street, seems cozy and intimate. The music is waaay too loud, it's like they can't decide if it's a club or a place for cocktails and dinner. As a result, you wind up shouting across a small table when seated outside. I could hear everyone's conversations. So if you love eavesdropping, this is your place. They put egg whites in my whiskey sour. Unexpected, and should probably be disclosed to the customer prior to ordering, since it's not on the menu. The tacos are good! The smash burger was under seasoned and seems like it's made with 80/20 ground beef, with not enough fat cooked off. The lettuce is not that fresh and the edges were wilted and looked old. Sad times! I wanted to like this place and I was so excited, but it just didn't deliver.

First time here and we were all pretty impressed! Very nice gentleman greeted us at the door and seated us after about 5-10 minutes. Very nice interior decor and great vibe! They had a great live band as well! Service was great and drink were all delicious. They even gave us 2 complimentary birthday shots! Great place to go have some drinks. They also have food but we had already eaten but maybe next time! Was having too good of a time and forgot to grab any pics but trust me it's a beautiful place!

Felt at home the second I walked into this dark, beautiful and moody atmosphere. I have found the spot in which I belong in this town. I can't believe it's taken me so long to get here. The staff is right away attentive and friendly. Not at all that fake over the top customer service act you get most places, just nice and easy the way I like it. I can't speak on the food yet, as I was here to drink my lunch today. The drink menu is fantastic and every word makes me drool, but I take a slight suggestion from staff and couldn't be happier with the drinks that were selected. Strong. Lively flavors. So incredibly delicious. The Earl Grey martini is a magical treat. The music is on point, the drinks are amazing, and the incredibly cool atmosphere has me feeling like I might not ever leave. Next time I'm in, I'll give the food a shot and update this here review. Until then, I'm low key hoping it won't blow up and become as popular as it could be because as of now, I'm completely in love.

One of the better dinner date spots in town. Great ambiance, with an excellent bar selection. Went have been there a couple times for dinner and drinks and we have been wanting to go back more recently. It's in the heart of downtown, where they've really done a 180 on the revival of the street they are located on. Service was good, the place is clean but also with a nice cozy speakeasy feel. Great drink menu but they'll make anything from their full bar. Menu is great and we haven't been let down with our food choices. I would recommend this place for sure, for a nice simple date night choice. I will definitely be adding some photos the next go around.

A friend was in town and I just knew The Botanist would be the perfect spot for an afternoon drink and small plates. Inside it was quiet, dark and cool - the absolute best for warm Bakersfield days. I also want to mention that I GREATLY appreciate their hours. They're open Tuesday - Sunday 11am to close with Happy Hour 2-5pm daily. And you can't forget their live music on Saturdays. The Happy Hour specials were actually really good - not that bait and switch so many establishments often do. All their seasonal drinks were half off, as well as the Tea for Two (a favorite of mine!). I had the matcha lemon drop - refreshing, bright, and just right for the afternoon. We also order some fries and hamachi - all great to munch on while chatting. With such a great Happy Hour I might be visiting more often!

I came in Friday afternoon for some drinks, the restaurant/bar is beautiful for pictures. They have vintage items displayed. It's a super calm and easy going atmosphere. The servers were very pleasant and polite. The drinks were on another level, a great place for high quality cocktails to sip and savor. I will definitely come back to try the food next time. It is more on the pricey side, just something to keep in mind :).

Very pleasantly surprised by this place. We were driving through Bakersfield and wanted a bite to eat. It was a Sunday afternoon so was quiet, but looks like they get busy in the evenings with different events and live music on Saturday's. Anyway, cool atmosphere and friendly service. The cocktails were really good and all the food we ordered was delicious, We had- Marinated Flatbread, Yellowfin Tuna Tartar (on the sweeter side, but really good), Fish and Chips and Steak Tacos (flavorful and tender meat). Cocktails- Encanto, Muerte and the Botanist Fashion Would go back.

TL;DR Great food, drinks,vibe,decor and service. Loud music drove us away. We walked in and it was dark and quiet and awesome. I almost squealed I was so happy we found such a cool place with speakeasy vibes. Seated in a nice booth and we ordered the seasonal Apple Pie Cocktail and their Old Fashioned. Both were very nice and we would happily order them again. Ordered a Burger and Wedge Salad and they came out super fast. We would wait to order food next time as we barely had time to try our drinks before the food came. Super fast service! Burger was excellent and even had some crispy patty edges! Wedge came with crispy onions which I'd get on the side next time. Combined with the blue cheese crumbles, the saltiness overwhelmed the salad. I added the red onion and tomato from Mike's burger fixins and it was the freshness the salad needed. The added shrimp were huge and tasty, too! BUT. . . almost as soon as the food came out, the music was turned up. We could no longer have a quiet conversation. The poor bartender had to almost yell across the bar. This was before 5:30pm on a Wednesday and the place was maybe at 15-20% full. Sounded more like a club than a speakeasy. I had read a review mentioning live music that was loud, but this was recorded music of an unknown genre. Would've like to have hung out and enjoyed a couple more drinks but the music drove us out. We're just passing through but The Botanist could be a fave hangout for us with less and/or different music.

We decided on The Botanist after landing in Bakersfield. What a gem!! Food was great, service was amazing and the atmosphere is so cool. Speakeasy for sure and i would think the nightime vibe is awesome.

Had some business up in this area. My usual haunt is down in L.A. I was done for the day and was looking to grab a quick bite before heading back. Now I cannot speak for the average busy times but 14:30 in a Saturday it was a comfortable level of busy so, I could tell the locals liked it. Had the Smash burger and fries with a Gin and Tonic to help chase things down. The Bartender was very confident in her choices of spirits and mixed a great complimentary drink to go with the burger and fries. I asked her to surprise me with the Gin. I just let her know what I usually drink. It was St. George's Gin. A great drink for the meal. The Ambiance is a little dark with rich accents and a solid design on the inside. Very inviting and relaxes you as soon as you step through the door. I usually have business up there and I have found a new place to add to my list

We stayed a the convention center hotel and were able to walk easily over to the Botanist. When you walk in, you instantly feel the vibe with the lowered lights, wallpaper and decor. This gives the feeling of a social supper club, while being in the middle of downtown. We ordered several drinks, which were all delicious. There were some specialty drinks offered which were not the standard menu. Our group ordered some of the food to share for our entire time and it became more of a family style since we all wanted to try everything. We came back the next night since it was so much fun.

What a great place. Really busy but we happen to get a few bar seats for our group. The food was good. The bartender was fun. There were a bit of tables so I'm assuming wait would be short. I had the chicken wings and the smash burger. All good stuff and the cocktail menu are unique. The bartenders will customize and recommend anything you palet wants.

First off: service is a delight! I am never disappointed by the charming staff. The ambiance is impeccable--all the moody vibes of an avant-garde speakeasy. Delicious and unique cocktails, but classics (e.g. dirty gin martini) are also 10/10 with "less than expected" pricing for the quality, presentation, location, etc. Now, food--I love food. Food is very important to me, and the botanist never misses the mark! Brunch smash burgers, French toast, haloumi salads, fried chicken--and so much more, but l have loved every bite of it.

The Botanist will always be THAT place I take friends and families to. It has great ambience, food, and drinks. This time, we got the loaded fries (as per usual), chicken wings with chimichuri, 9:30 tea time, matcha lemon drop, and a cranberry sour. Everything and I mean everything tasted fantastic. You'll always catch me during their happy hour (2-5 pm everyday). Also to add to our always amazing experience, service has been great everytime we dine in :)

Came here for brunch just passing through Bakersfield, and it was so lovely! The ambiance is so chill, the inside is so beautiful, elegant and dark. Our server was incredibly helpful and kind. The cocktails were very tasty and interesting, our server told us in detail about them. My fiance and I split the vegan smash burger, and it was definitely big enough for the both of us. It was very delicious, we got fries on the side and they came with pistachio. I've never heard of that before but I now don't want my fries any other way. I did not know fries could be beautiful and classy, very pleasantly surprised. It was a bit pricey, but not overly given the service, quality and atmosphere. Don't miss this spot if you're looking for a good cocktail and yummy food. Love a spot with good vegan options that are held with the same consideration as conventional fare.

This place has all of the looks and the setting that sets you in a calm, chill mood. It's a darker environment with spot lights around the bar and has the feeling of a high end cocktail restaurant. The food that I did have was great! The drinks were also very spot on! I really wanted to give this place 5 stars! But I couldn't.... I had to do 4 stars because of the bar service. Don't get me wrong, they were very polite. The issue was getting them to pay attention to you and to check on you. When I first sat down, I was the only one at the bar and it took a good 10 minutes to be asked what I wanted. There were two bartenders at the time and the place was almost empty. Throughout my time there, the two ladies would follow each other from one end of the bar to the other, talking something. Once one would leave the bar, the other would check their phone prior to checking on the now 2 of us at the bar. It was a little disappointing but it is what it is. So I will give this place 4 stars and would still come back.

In Bakersfield I lucked onto this little gem! I'm out here for work and searched yelp for vegetarian - just to see what this town has. I expected Thai and maybe a Jamba Juice - what I didn't expect was a gorgeous setting, absolute brilliant cocktails, delicious vegan food, and Emily! I was alone today and Emily was one of the nicest servers I've met in a while. She gave great insights and recommendations. I apparently ordered a lot of the most popular but I would totally recommend everything I got! Putting pics here and ofc they don't go anything justice.

I like this place. I don't live near Bakersfield but I was cycling near the Kern Riverway and stopped to get lunch here early afternoon. First off- it is super dark inside compared to Bakersfield daylight. That, along with it's prohibition-era/ speakeasy/ old-timey decor (see photos) gives it a cool ambiance. Because I had to drive back to LA, I didn't partake of the alcohol libations. The smash burger and the separate smothered fries were quite tasty and I would definitely come back for them. I would love to have a drink here some evening to enjoy socializing with folks with the ambiance. I know they have live music sometimes on the weekends so that's an additional draw.

Looking to try something different from our usual Sunday buffet, we decided to take a drive downtown, knowing there are so many great places we need to try but often overlook. Enter the Botanist. We arrived during brunch, it was pretty empty, not fully acquainted with the vibe and atmosphere, it was a little darker than the places we're used to and the bar was the standout, we were intrigued! The hostess was friendly and welcoming, confirming we were over 21...we're Gen X so that was sweet! We don't drink so I was super impressed with their "Free Spirits" choices! I don't think I've ever seen such a thoughtful selection. I ordered the Cranberry Kiss which was tart & delicious. My daughter had the Pineapple Mint Fizz which reminded her of a Mint Julep with sweet pineapple, it was so good! My hubby had the lemonade and said, "it's good". For an appetizer we shared the Green Dukkah Fries, so savory and enjoyable, I forgot to take a picture. Came with a mayonnaise dip seasoned to perfection. For our meals we had the Botanist Grilled Cheese, The Botanist Smash and the Challah French Toast. Each dish was good to the last bite, the burger was juicy, the grilled cheese like no other, the french toast was sweet with fresh berries. The waitress was kind and attentive and invited us to check them out for dinner and showed us the menu. We promptly scanned and made a mental note of our future order, because, yes, we will definitely be back!

Just stopped by at the end of an evening tonight. Unfortunately I got here too late to hear the band 'Lovable Noise' they are a great date night smooth band. They have a great background groove that is romantic but you can still have a conversation. As always the vibe in here is elevated with an eclectic clientele, one of the best in Bakersfield in my opinion. Great service, delicious food & cocktails. Wether you come late or early it is a fabulous experience.

Wonderful atmosphere. Loved the drinks menu. My favorite drink is the 'Muerto'. Delicious to the last drop. I shared a smash burger and fries with a friend and we both fully enjoyed it. The server was pleasant and attentive. We were not left wanting anything. Everything from the beginning to the end was perfect. We throughly enjoyed the evening.

A one of a kind restaurant and bar! Everything about it is beautiful. The mixed drinks are the best I ever had in my whole 40 years of life. The Muerte is a must and you will happily die for it. Go now.

The dude and I came on 05/03/24 and 05/05/24. We came here initially due to this place having food and cocktails. We arrived late around 10:30pm not knowing that their kitchen closes at 9pm. We were bummed out but tried cocktails while we were there anyways. The Early Grey cocktail is out of this world so tasty and delicious 9/10. Taste just like the tea beverage but better. The dude got him a whisky looking drink don't remember what it was but he liked it. The staff was so attentive when we first came and second time as well. This place is absolutely beautiful. I like how dark and cozy it is with the decorations. It's so trendy. There's ample seating inside, bar or covered patio. It is nice . We came again on 05/05/24 as I wanted to try the Matcha Cocktails and it was yummy but earl grey was better. Definitely enjoyed it so much. The jam and toast was such a yummy treat too! Very flavorful. Overall, we love this place. Stunning. Affordable cocktails and tasty treats ! I'm sure the food taste as good too!!!

I moved back to Bakersfield and my peeps know that I am a foodie and so I had a dozen or reccomendations to try this place out when I returned. This place is exactly the kind of resteraunts the downtown scene needs in my opinion. Super cute and modern spot, great menu and they serve a mean cocktail. Came by on a Saturday around 6pm and got seated right away to my suprise. Super cute ambiance and love the vibe the resteraunt has. Simple menu, not too overwhelming so choosing the smash burger was easy. Good burger, would have to rate it a 7.5 out of 10. Tried a couple cocktails and they were all a 10 our of 10. Kudos to the bartender forsure. Overall, would defenitly reccomend those of you who have not come by to check it out! Totally worth it and it's good to support local businesses. Great food! I had the steak. Wife had the salmon served on a bed of hominy. Brilliant combination. Great ambiance... like a nice home. Comfortable... nicely decorated. Excellent service. Friendly... attentive. We will be back on our next visit to Bakersfield.

The food was spectacular. The service was perfect and the ambiance is romantic and fun. This is our first time here and the waitress was super helpful. Our food came out fast and tasted amazing. Our drinks made with love and care. I loved how they decorated for Christmas it was magical. I would recommend this to anyone 21 and over. Definitely a cute date place or a place to chill out at with friends. Carol was fabulous and went above and beyond . We enjoyed her personality and smile. We will be coming back for sure.

I love this place! From the ambience, service, drinks, and food everything here is fantastic! First the drinks here are so unique and pretty! although a bit pricey, compared to other bars with basic drinks at the SAME PRICE these drinks are worth it! The food here is delicious as well. That Warm Brie with the bread was mouth watering, with actual pieces of baked garlic soooo yummy. Service wise they bring you drinks and food to your tables which makes it a nicer experience, and the staff are so nice here! Shout out to Kiani! She's an awesome bartender! The looks of this place is also so pretty, I love the dark academia vibes. Pretty fancy feeling, and they have live music every once in awhile. A very lovely place overall.

cute, warm and it's own vibe, I really enjoy the botanist. I've seen the building go through a few transformations but this has been my favorite. The staff is polite, attentive and quick.

Ambiance was beautiful. Dim lighting . Music was a bit weird . Felt like we were in an early 2000s rom com. Food was moderately priced and very delicious. My friend had the vegan tacos which I didn't take a picture of but she loved them . Service was fast and host/server was the most friendliest server I have ever came across. Nice chill place for food and drinks . Well come again on next business trip .

I have been wanting to give this place a try for MONTHS! I was so excited to suggest this one as our next girls gathering venue. None of us had ever been, which makes it even better. The vibe of this place is super trendy but beautifully decorated. I love the moodiness of the dark paint, the wood textures and those green velvet curtains! My initial server was on point and so sweet! She helped me decide what my first drink should be, I wanted to give something off of their happy hour a go so I had to choose from the seasonal drinks section (matcha lemon drop). Matcha is one of those things that I want to love but I have a hard time doing so but this time around I feel like it was the perfect blend with the bitterness of the lemon drop, taming it wonderfully. The drink was so wonderfully crafted that I got 4 of them during my visit! Also wanting to keep with the happy hour pricing I tried the warm Brie from the small bites offerings and it was amazing! I loved it all. The cheese itself and the honey drizzle but the garlic confit was delicious, all of it pairing exquisitely with the garlic toast. For my entree I decided on the salmon on a bed of hominy. Hominy is my favorite part of any pozole so I couldn't wait to give it a try and it was amazing! The salmon had great flavor I just would've liked it cooked for a few minutes less than it was. The other girls in my party both had the steak and loved it. They also went with the sashimi (cut very thin) and the roasted wings (absolutely delicious flavor). I will most definitely come here again. The hubby will love this place and the food!
