I walked into The Botanist not really knowing what I was looking for—it was my first visit, and honestly, I felt a little overwhelmed. But the moment I stepped inside, any anxiety I had melted away. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and professional, and I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member with a smile. What really blew me away was the level of service. Members of the teams, specifically Phil and Kevin, took the time to ask thoughtful questions, listen to my needs, and walk me through their selection with genuine care and knowledge. They never rushed me or made me feel like I was asking silly questions. Instead, they helped me discover the perfect products tailored specifically for what I needed—something I wouldn’t have been able to figure out on my own. You can tell the staff at The Botanist truly care about their customers and believe in what they’re doing. From the welcoming vibe to the incredible service, this place sets the bar for what a dispensary experience should be. I’ll definitely be coming back—and recommending it to everyone I know.

The freshest flower on the Island from the few dispensaries I've tried. I'm glad I made the switch. Great 1st time customer discount, regular product discounts and Medicaid and other discounts available. Friendly customer service and nice laid back atmosphere. Very happy

As a regular customer, I regret giving this 1 star review to the farmingdale location as I have always had excellent customer service at this store. Today I got a person I have not seen in the store before to help me. She did not seem to want to help me like the others always do. Normally the csr asks me if I wanted to use my points before payment, this person did not, and I had to ask her of the same which I wanted to use. After payment I asked her the price of an item in the counter and she said she would let me know. I waited at the counter assuming she was going to give me the price, instead she asked me to step aside for the next customer. I had to ask for the price to another csr who always helps me. I hope the management/owners see this review. If you need to talk to me, you have my phone numner in your records.

The best medical dispensary in Suffolk County hands down. Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. The two pharmacist John and Jaqueline are super friendly and warm and answer and of your questions and concerns. As far as staff Sara is amazing and super helpful with getting your purchases in order. I’d definitely recommend this location for your medical cannabis needs. Never a long wait like the other locations to get your medical needs. By far the best one in my opinion!

The people here are great. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They’ve helped me pick the products that will focus on what I need from pain management to anxiety and appetite stimulation. Can’t recommend them enough.

This was my first time at a dispensary. Ever. It was incredibly overwhelming. The staff here is top notch. They made me feel comfortable, helped me understand what I needed, help with the entire process from signing in to what to pick out. Would definitely recommend, as well as plan to go back.

I’ve been to a few places but this is my favorite. You get the personal touch and you don’t have to wait here like at Curaleaf. Jackie, John and Sarah are so friendly and informative. They also have great sales and the best discounts for the disabled and veterans etc. Will keep going here for the pleasant experience I always have!

This is for the botanist in Danbury. It would be the second time I went there complaining about mold On my product First time they replaced second time they gave me my money back and showed me a sign telling me that basically if this happens again I have to accept the product. I looked it up and she's correct basically if you get a moldy batch you have to keep it you can't bring it back. Seems to be going on in Connecticut I tested both products myself. I have not seen this problem in New York Or any other place The product I bought was bricks cannabis. If they tell you some mold is not bad for you that's true but not for everyone . If you buy a tomato and you cut it open And it stinks the supermarket will replace it's just too much of a waste of money to take a chance good luck Connecticut..

Interesting world we live in today where a doctor may prescribe cannabis for a given medical issue. This cannabis dispensary cannabis in Farmingdale is seems to have a well-organized program. Their goal is to provide patients with the education and care they need to find the medication that suits their needs.

Easy parking, large selection. Knowledge staff as I was not a cannabis user and needed help in selecting what would be a good place to start.

Very easy process. Very nice and knowledgeable employees. The location is clean and comfortable. Customer service is a definite priority. The selection of products has definitely improved over the past year. On 4/20, the had a pizza truck handing out free food :). I like this place.

What an absolutely awful experience I just had with an employee, Mike. Very nasty, and very impatient. He was not at all helpful which is terrible when you are dealing with people that have illnesses that come to the store. He seemed high "WTF" didn't like working there and takes it out on the sick customers. If I owned that store, he would not be working there for sure!! Everyone else is wonderful and they actually helped me while Mike sat there like the world owed him something then rang me up angrily. I will make sure NOT to go to him next time, I will wait for someone else to help me.

Wow. What a great experience! It was my first visit, and John walked me through every option. The facility is beautiful and the staff couldn't be more attentive and pleasant! I wish my primary doctor's office was this nice and this well run! It's still new, but the 1:1 Green chewable tablets seem to help my nerve pain. I'm looking forward to seeing if that lasts!

If you feel like wasting money they're decent, but wayyyy overpriced. Sunnyside dispensary (my regular one, should've just gone there) is better. Street bud will always be easiest on pricing, but $45 1/8ths that are 14-16% thc???? Got better prices in Vegas.

I have had a mmp for 10 years. I went to CCC until it was sold. I don't like change. I haven't been happy with The Botanist UNTIL yesterday. A very nice person called me to ask about a note I put in my online order. Called me. As in, read my note and called me to address it. Apparently, I had ordered some products that I would not have enjoyed. She changed my order. After I explained to her how I missed going into the dispensary and talking with people who not only knew my taste, but also had suggestions because they had tried the product. Then she told me something I didn't know. I could come in the dispensary and talk with someone before I placed my order. I didn't know that. I said that outloud. I was, in a word, relieved. When I went to pickup my order, the pharmacist came over. He suggested that one of the items (an oz) I might not like. It would have been a little citrus for me. Okay, that has never happened before. I am so very impressed. Everything was explained to me in ways I would understand. Also, everything I thought was the process...only for covid. I'm over the moon delighted. The 3 people I interacted with yesterday couldn't have been more kind, understanding or patient. I'm sorry I posted a negative review before. I was completely mistaken about absolutely everything.

The staff at the Botanist are very friendly. The product has been reliably strong. The inventory is usually abundant. I wish they were open later but this will always be my favorite dispensary!

This dispensary feels very warm and inviting. The staff is extremely personable and helpful. Selection of products is getting better as the NYS medical program evolves. Prices are in line with other dispensaries, but other dispensaries have better sales and have them more often. So, prices don't give it 5 stars but the staff and environment do.

This was my first experience at The Botanist, and I was very pleased. Asheika is a very beautiful person, inside and out. Such a beautiful soul. I was overwhelmed by the care that I received via emails and then a phone call before I ever went to The Botanist. I was having trouble getting my MMP card and Asheika made it happen. Above and beyond and just awesome. I was extremely chatty this morning, 5/27/21, because of nerves and butterflies but I was put right at ease by the very charming Dana. She is such a genuinely lovely person. Kind, friendly, funny, knowledgeable and so patient. I had probably far too many questions, as I could tell from the angry eyes of the masked faces of those behind me when I exited. But, Dana never wavered. She was taking care of me and that was clearly important to her, and I appreciated it. She informed me of all of the discounts that are available to me. And, I received one today already because I'm a new customer. That was very cool. The office is located on Route 110, and if you're familiar, that roadway is a nightmare....always. But the office itself is immaculate and positively elegant in its simplicity. Really. And well worth the drive. If even to meet such pleasant people that are obviously proud of where they work. And, rightly so. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. That amount just seems so inadequate.

Awful. I drove over 2 hours to get to this place just for them to tell me at the cash register that "we only accept debit or cash." And yes, i checked if they accepted credit before making the trip. Their website says the only thing they don't accept is AMEX, but that's evidently not true. What an absolute waste of a Sunday.

The store is very tasteful, clean and secure. Staff are all real helpful and pleasant. I got two different vape carts, one Sativa and one Hybrid. Botonist's brand, Boost 20:1. One constantly clogs up. I need to push a pin through the mouthpiece almost every single time I want to use it...what a PITA....and waste of oil that oozes out every time I try and clean it out. The other cart was fine, only clogged up once in a blue moon, but the Hybrid I'm about ready to toss in the garbage b/c its real frustrating. I need to twist up a spliff...F this vape pen shit!

Very easy to get in and as long as you have the proper paperwork ready don't forget to bring your doctors prescription plus your New York State ID for medical marijuana and it's a quick process Vansa have the proper identification the weeds pretty good only thing that bothers me that she needs to be more manicured they seem to leave a lot of the tops like a lot of twig sometimes

Sealed product would not take return . Middle aged white lady working at counter was extremely rude . I'm a local business owner and they compared my vape pen to "OxyContin" thanks for making me feel great / never going back / over priced product is mediocre at best / flower is all stems and shake . No nugs mostly sticks. Be cautious they are clever

This is the first dispensary ive visited, no need to keep looking! Beautiful atmosphere, with an over the top staff. My first visit I was greeted by a rep who really broke down every product, use of each, different strains, etc. I was pleasantly surprised as to how much they cared, and how knowledgeable they were. They have no problem sitting with you and going over every detail and answering every question. They dont make the process weird, or make you feel like a bad guy, which I was a little nervous about when I first went in. The prices are high, but compared to others, its about average. NY state has a heavy hand in their pricing, so its to be assumed it will be a bit high. Thank you very much to their staff for making this a painless process! Keep up the fantastic work! I have recommended others from the clinic to come here as well.

Wow, great experience here. They were all so nice and thorough in helping me find what I needed, starting with the guy behind the counter when I walked in. Very nice looking place, and the displays were really helpful, you could see what each item looked like before you bought it. Prices were better than the other places from what I've heard. They also carry products made by eTain, an all women company that's supposed to make real quality goods. Professional to the max, and knowledgeable which is what I needed. I highly recommend them.

Having a debilitating disease of rheumatoid arthritis, I need pain management without taking opioids. I explained it all to Dana and the pharmacist and they were so helpful and continue to be since I started going there. I know there is another place, but I wasn't given any time to speak about my condition and was rushed thru, not even knowing what I bought. I have been able to stop meds to sleep, and also stop the pain meds during the day. I can't tell you that it will work forever, but I do know that everyone who works there will guide me on my journey. Thank you thank you for literally giving me my life back.

I came to the botanist with crippling PTSD anxiety. The entire staff made me feel like I was "home" and made sure to give me all the tools I needed through the NYS process. Every time I go in there, I'm greeted with nothing less than smiles and happiness. They are for sure great humans that care there.

I visited this place twice and called many times. Was prescribed by my doctors PA for insomnia. The first bottle did not help at all even after taking a whole vial & was redirected to something much stronger and had a very bad reaction to it. This is for medical marijuana and you need a prescription from your doctor for it. Very hard to get through to someone like a pharmacist to talk to. I just now to talk to someone called Michael and he told me there was nothing they could do after I purchased two bottles of the stronger tincture. He told me I should buy another bottle of something else but at $65 for each one I think not. His answer to me was what do you want me to do lady!!

My first time at The Botanist today. Let me tell you they are night and day over going to Curaleaf. The people here are friendly and pleasant to deal with. Gave them my card and they found me right away. Unlike Curaleaf, whom after going to for years decided that my card was not legit. Made my find my paperwork and after finding my doctors paperwork still wouldn't let me in unless I went home and printed it for them. So grateful I went here instead today. The manager was nice and we had a great conversation on strains. The pharmacist introduced himself and gave me a bottle of water while I was ordering. These little things is what makes a good dispensary. They even gave me a discount for my first time there. I just want to say thank you to the staff for not making my experience stressful like it was at Curaleaf.

your out of your mind if you go anywhere else in the immediate area. Botanist may not have as many products as other places but all of the people who work there are cool. If anything goes wrong they are quick to make it right. I complained about the pen they sell dying within a second they hand me a new one. the discounts that are provided make filing your prescription affordable. all of the people that work there are excellent with dealing with people and treat the customers who come into the store with respect.

Easily the best dispensary on the island. From an unbiased perspective, it really is the quickest and best dispo. Very friendly staff, they're helpful, and get things done quick.

My husband has cancer and will go through chemo/radiation (good prognosis) and we went to The Botanist at his oncologist's request. We were nervous and I cannot say enough about the staff and for me the ambiance. So professional. There are other places closer to our home but we will definitely only buy from here. We needed tinctures and lozenges. Wonderful young woman helped us - highly recommend!!!

So far, so good. This is a professional health care business supplying medical marijuana and supplies to people qualifying under NYS law. This was my first experience with the product and with this dispensary. The building is attractively set with an enclosed registration portal and entrance into the main building. Registration includes setting up your personal account in the lobby after having completed review by a registered medical health care provider. They send theyvipmedical material to the Albany medical marijuana health center. Basically , everything is regulated. Having "passed" you can enter the main room where you are seated and introduced to your options. The botanist-assistant is knowledgeable. She can make recommendations and answer questions. She refers to the health care regulations and the formulary. You pay by cash, or debit card. Credit cards are not accepted. You leave with the product.

Wonderful kind service and easy to get to. For medical use, I wholly recommend the botanist.

The worker John was very sweet and ready to help with anything I might have needed, it was just rfter 5 and they were getting a rush John took me to the back apologized and gave me a free battery for the wait and offered me if I wanted to use my reward points even tho I already paid.
