The Boyer Bakery

Simply the best bakery I’ve been to! I remember when Boyer first opened after Rocket Fizz closed down and they’ve grown like a wild fire, it’s amazing! I’ve made it my personal mission to try all their drinks and pastries (it’s really difficult, they have a LOT of options). So far, my favorites are their scone variations and their different flavors of poptarts. Go to breakfast is the Sweet Heat and you honestly can’t go wrong with ANY of their drinks. My only complaints are how loud it is in there but that’s the price to pay when you want to see such a wonderful business flourish! Definitely top notch! (:

Update: The banana cream pie scone is to die for! 😩 Super cute bakery, very busy at 10am when I went. Coffee wasn’t terrible, pastries are good. Will definitely come back and try another coffee and more pastries!

Such a peaceful and esthetically pleasing place! The staff were so professional and friendly! The pastries are amazingly fresh, visually appealing and quite tasty! It was nice to find another quaint bakery that uses quality ingredients!

boyer bakery has always been a 5 star service! we went to the one on cotton and greenway and that one has always done right by us. but this one, absolute perfection. my husband got the roast beef sandwhich which came with a side of chips. i didnt even get to get a picture before he devoured the whole thing 😭 he got a honey comb latte and he finished it almost immediately. He also got the pumpkin cheesecake, this is what he has to say “I feel as if it has both ruined and completed my morning coffee pastry journey and is phenomenal!” he claims this cheescake is “life changing” and ate the whole thing. i got the chicken chipotle bagel and it was unbelievably delicious. the bagel was so soft, unlike other breakfast places, and the bagel was nice and wet (lol) but still kept its shape. i got full after only eating half! we came in around 8 ish and by almost 9 oclock it was packed. i have absolutely no notes, we are so full and so satisfied. we will absolutely come back! i am not one to leave reviews, but this place deserves the best :)

Sadly, Not gluten free. I visited your bakery super excited to have gluten free options. However, I found the gluten free items stacked in between all gluten items, and the same tongs, gloves were used to grab everything. I was unable to try any of the “GF” but they looked amazing. I don’t understand taking the time to make GF items to then contaminate them with Gluten? The bakery is beautiful, staff is very kind, and coffee was great. I only ask that you label things gluten friendly vs gluten free so there is no confusion.

I came to the Boyer Bakery for the first time today and ordered an almond croissant and a pistachio chocolate croissant and an iced mocha with whipped cream. The atmosphere is very nicely curated and the staff was helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately, the croissants were inedible. Had planned on eating the almond one with my coffee at a table in the bakery and taking the pistachio one home. They were both unnecessarily heavy, not very flaky, overly sweet and a bit old. I complained about them and they politely gave me a refund for both of them which made me very happy. I also purchased a raspberry bar for a friend who says they are fantastic. The coffee was good.

First time trying this place—the food was delicious! Unfortunately, the service was awful. The cashier who took our order around 8:30 AM on 09/03 was extremely rude. Because of this experience, my family and I won’t be coming back.

Cute place! It would be even better if there were places to sit outside. I ordered an eggnog scone and a butter pecan scone and a pumpkin spice latte. The scones are soft, flaky, and not dry! Before I left, I also bought sourdough bread. All of it was lovely. The lady who rang up my bread, was genuinely nice and engaged in conversation with myself and my friend.

Okay- second visit and today was outstanding! (First time was good too, but today was stellar!) This place was busy but we hardly had to wait... I had "the Kenny" breakfast sandwich- amazing. And I ordered a small carmallow latte... good gracious! I wish I had gotten an extra, extra large. That thing was delicious! I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular just for the coffee alone. Can't wait to head back for pastries and more coffee flavors!!

Stopped in today for pastries - the place was packed! I love that they've expanded into the space next door. My chocolate chip banana muffin was good, though I could barely taste any banana. My husband really enjoyed his pistachio chocolate croissant - said it was excellent! We also grabbed a monster cookie bar and a rice crispy treat, but both were just okay. Prices are average, service was excellent, and the interior is beautifully decorated. But we'll stick to just the breakfast treats next time.

This place is fantastic! I would recommend to anyone. Amazing pastries, coffee, food, and atmosphere. They just need a few more workers considering line can get very very long.

10/10 recommend. The strawberry match was absolutely to die for I went for a second one to go. Not to mention the bagel sandwich was even more delicious service was super quick and the guy at check out was super sweet and even gave good recommendations as to what was good in his opinion. Ambiance was very chill vibes, good seating and very clean.

This place was packed at noon! We grabbed brownies an inch thick, a maple pancake cookie, and a Rice Krispie and ran! They were delish!

I came to this place because it kept coming up as a great coffee spot that wasn't too far from me. I did notice that this was one of three different Boyer establishments and it seems like they have quite a reputation. I came very early and there was a line almost out the door. I ordered the brown sugar shaken espresso and was very happy with that flavors. I was feeling a bit hungry so decided with a savory option and tried the bacon and cheese quiche. They have lots of tables and a large space to hang and enjoy your cup of coffee. Great options and amazing sweet treats!

It has become a routine to stop by here monthly for a treat. We would visit more, but we are cheating on our diets even on gluten free items, so we want to tske care of our immune systems and not over do it. After gymnastics and a little dollar store adventure Boyer's is the icing on the cake! The girls have gotten smart and both pick out a different treat so they can share each of them. None of their items are gluten free certified. We are celiac, but we have never had any ill effects ever. We stay away from all gluten free items that contain gluten free oats as we react to them just like they are gluten. Service is ALWAYS with a smile. They really are something special, and we are so blessed to have them in Surprise. They have lots of drinks, and more savory food on the weekends. Farther west in Surprise? Definitely waited a while in line. I think there could possibly be a faster process when it comes to ordering as well as getting your pastries, food or your drinks, especially since there are multiple people assisting with getting pastries or drinks during the time I went. My drink was delicious but the food and pastries, I'm not sure if they were really worth the hype. Don't get me wrong, they weren't nasty, but they definitely weren't as delicious as some say.. my muffin did seem to be a little on the dry side.

The cherry croissant and the chicken salad sandwich in the Sun City location was absolutely delicious,best I have ever eaten(sorry Mom) definitely i will be back and check out the Surprise bakery!

Bomb coffee, bomb bakery, bomb service 10/10 I will gladly continue to spend my husbands check here ‍ Thank you guys for consistently giving good service (& great coffee) being PostPartum and a SAHM oftentimes this is my only adult interaction and you guys always, always, take the time to have a quick chat with everyone. Truly makes a difference in my day and you may not know it but you guys played a tremendous part in helping me through the newborn trenches.

I am obsessed with this banana cream latte. And the pistachio chocolate chip scone was perfectly soft and flakey. Cant wait to go back!

I love the almond croissants, but you have to get there early to snag one. I'm not that much of an early bird so too often they are out of them. The other pastries are good, but I'm in for the croissants. As a result I rarely stop in anymore. I wish they would make more knowing they are so popular. It's always so busy so the place us well liked by many. Maybe a few more tables inside for those who don't want to sit outside on Bell Rd.

I really need the Boyer bakery to knock it off. Every time I go there I have the goal and intention to get one or two items and I end up walking out with six items and three drinks - it's that delicious. Today was a different day as they were celebrating Christmas in July. I arrived around 8:30 on Saturday morning and the line was already out the door but also queued up inside. It was very busy. Has a great café vibe and the cashiers are very helpful and friendly and they try to keep the line moving along as quickly as possible. I just kind of wish there were menus towards the front or in the queue with the items for the day just to speed things up a little bit. I generally order the same things, but the bakery case does change. So as I mentioned, I walked out with multiple items. This included the cherry chip loaf, cake, cherry muffin, the Blondie bar, and two sugar cookie scones. I also walked out with three caramellow beverages. I don't even live here but I visit whenever I come to town and I usually get an extra coffee for my drive back home because they are closed on Sundays. The cherry chip loaf cake was outstanding. I hope that sticks around for the rest of the year. The sugar cookie scones OMG I ate one on my ride home, it had a subtle sweet almond flavor to it just like a sugar cookie. I did not love the cranberry Blondie bar. It seemed very dense and sweet, but I do love the iced coffee. Plenty of parking out front. I always take extras back with me and freeze them.

Pastries are really good. It's super busy here! Locals love this place Con is that it is very noisy. There are not a lot of outlets to do work. Only one is next to a bench without a desk.

Great staff. Outstanding product. Great house keeping. Warm and family interior. Great ownership.

The customer service here is second to none. My wife is a regular here and they asked her name and they immediately knew her drink and made it perfectly. The store is clean and has been expanded on 2 times. The place is run by a local family and you can tell they take a great deal of care in the business. Their pastries are amazing and they are super efficient and just amazing. I recommend trying one of their sister stores as well as each store has something a little different.

I was just here today during lunch. The line was super long. There's one cashier moving at the pace of molasses. The girl that was packaging up the pastries was moving at the same pace. Do better Boyer when it's lunchtime and people are on a crunch pick up the pace.

I can't believe I have missed out on this place! This was my 1st time here and I live very close by.. this was the BEST coffee , cookie and lunch I have ever had!! I was blown away ... I was surprised at the coffee selection. I had asked for recommendation and I got I believe it was called a Carmelo iced coffee with caramel. It was to DIE for . The chicken Caesar wrap was a large portion, and I finished it off with a ginger iced cookie. That was also to die for. I will be a regular here! Take all my money!

This was our first visit to Boyer Bakery. We got an assortment of pastries to share and we enjoyed all of them. I also tried an iced carmallow latte and it was delicious. The espresso is strong which is always a plus for me. The customer service was outstanding. We can't wait to go back and try more of the goodies!

The Boyer Bakery is a sweet little shop tucked into a shopping center in Surprise. Follow the address here, not whatever Apple Maps tell you because you will end up on the wrong end of the shopping complex. The staff were friendly and so efficient. I arrived to a line of seven people (at the front a person with a lot of questions) and departed within ten minutes with my order. I enjoyed a caramellow decaf latte, they have great tasting decaf espresso! So many shops throughout the valley will not sell decaf, so this is a big plus. They have a beautiful selection of pastries and other treats. I chose an onion, mushroom, and Swiss quiche and a cherry tart. At this time I've only eaten the quiche (amazinggg) and am saving the tart for later. The shop itself is fairly limited seating inside, but has some cute Arizona trinkets for sale as well. When in the area, or maybe even a special trip, I will be back!

Delicious. Best Bakery in the Valley awards on wall. I agree. The line of 50+ is out the door but definitely worth it. Sandwiches are freshly made on their bagels and bread. Next door seating is now open.

I haven't been in this area for a while and was surprised to see a lot has changed especially with the addition of this bakery. The place was bustling so it looks like it's quite a popular spot. I ordered the pistachio biscotti latte and cookie butter cold foam cold brew alongside a brownie and vegan peach oat bar. Pistachio drinks are always my go to for new spots and this latte did not disappoint. I was also excited to see that they have a variety of vegan options. The peach oat bar I got was the perfect transitional dessert for fall! I will definitely come back again to try out some more options.

Good coffee and pastries and quick services. The inside is cute and somewhere you want to sit and enjoy your goods. Will be back to try their sandwiches!

I live in Tucson but come to the area to visit my family very regularly. I make it a point to come here often when I visit because I love their treats, but more importantly their customer service is always so great. Everyone is happy and kind and genuinely friendly. Today I came to visit for the birthday celebration and was so disappointed in my visit. I came with my Mom and we waited in line for about 35 minutes, which I was expecting so it wasn't a big deal at all. Got my usual treat box and tried the peach ring lotus which was so good. I donated to the back the blue gift card as I always do, and spent $56 on my order. When I was paying, the cashier handed a scratcher card to my mom. As he was about to start taking her order, I asked for my scratcher card and he said "it's one per household." I said yes I know, but I live in tucson, we don't live in the same household. To which he replied - "I don't make the rules." I was so frustrated and disheartened with this response. I'm aware that it is "just a scratcher" but the extra perk for the birthday celebration is the scratcher card. It was about 10:45 and the stack of cards was still very large. I don't think he intended to have an attitude with his response, but if it is one per household, then I should've gotten one also. We don't live in the same household. I live 130+ miles away. I go out of my way to support local businesses, because they deserve it and it's my choice. But I was so frustrated with this interaction. I also sent them a message on Instagram and it was "read" but no one replied.

Not sure why this location has such high ratings. The food is mid and extremely over hyped. The coffee was not good either. I got a lavender latte and the espresso tasted burnt. I was shocked because I tried a latte from their drive thru location in Surprise and it was so good. The line was out the door too and wrapped all around inside so be prepared to wait a while. That didn't bother me at all though. It did feel pretty cramped inside due to the amount of traffic in there. You can definitely find better coffee and pastries elsewhere in my opinion. Maybe we'll give it another try at some point.

The most amazing gesture today prompted me to finally leave a review. I've been coming here for almost 2 years now and I absolutely love this place! My go to is Maple Brown sugar espresso! Pastries, food is deliciously addicting. You can't go wront with any of it. But what I love more, is the people here. The staff is amazing, ALWAYS kind and ALWAYS smiling. They always find a way to make me feel special. But Today's gesture meant more to me than they will ever know. Thank you. A special shout out to Miss Sophia, Miss Riley, and Miss Emma. Yall are a ray of sunshine.

I ordered a decaf latte and a blueberry muffin! The latte was excellent! Nice and hot and full of coffee flavor. And the blueberry muffin was full of large blueberries, which were so tasty and made the muffin so moist. I will definitely be back.

Well this is going to be a problem. I mean, wow. The brownie was not too rich but was firm and soft. The chocolate chip cookie, the same. The crown jewel, the pecan bar. One of the best things we have ever tasted. Excited to go back and try, well, maybe everything. Their menu has expanded to sandwiches, salads, and yogurt bowls. Their coffees our perfect. They are always professional and fast for as busy as they get. There isn't much seating available but the decor and ambiance is very welcoming.

I have been coming to this local Bakery Shop for coffee for over two years . It's always delicious and consistent. It is family owned and has opened another location in Sun City. The service is always warm and welcoming. To keep with its charm, you are not able to call your order in ahead. They are not open on Sundays and are very busy on Saturday mornings. Highly recommend this shop and other location.

The only decent coffee shop and bakery shop in the area. Has a variety of signatures drinks and refreshers. Service is fast. Very pleasant atmosphere inside.

If you live in the west valley, you must try this Bakery (worth the drive)! They make fresh all their pastries and breads. They have a large selection of 20+ options, but some sell out fast so get there early. If you have one pop tart here, you'll never buy the box stuff again. They also offer a wide selection of gluten free pastries for you sensitive types. :) The main draw for me is the everything bagel breakfast sandwich. So filling! Also try their specialty latte specialties which are delicious and unique. There's plenty of seating inside since they expanded into the next room. Everyone who works there is very nice. Enjoy!

This super cute little place is on my favorites list. The bagels are huge, flavorful and perfectly made. No bakery item that I've tried has disappointed. The coffee is delicious. The customer service is outstanding (all smiles compared to my other review for another Surprise bagel spot)! Ample parking. I could find no negatives to this place. Warning: It's tiny and popular so you're going to be waiting awhile. I guess that's the only negative but trust me...totally worth the wait, my friends!

Charming bakery & coffee shop! I ordered a bunch of goodies for us, the Almond Cream Croissant, and the Salted Maple Cold Foam Cold Brew were the highlights, excellent! Everything else was alright. Interior was delightful, oldies big band & jazz music playing was lovely. Elegant shop. Be sure to sign up for their rewards program before you swipe, I spent a decent amount but wasn't informed about it. I noticed other customers having it and asked but it was too late to apply it to my order.

Pastry is typical American and was inedible. Tried their muffin and literally spit it out. Coffee was bad - watery with no taste. I know what real bakeries are and this place is beyond pathetic.

I love the food and their blended drinks. Make sure you say blended. You will be passively educated with blended heightened in the surprise drive thru location on cotton lane. I have taken a month break from my weekly visit. I'm not one to keep up with drink terminology and with the amount of choices in a three mile radius I think about going back and decide I'm not feeling like being belittled today so I go to Spenser's place instead. This employee works at both surprise locations when she over corrected I brought it to her attention and said every place is different in terminology and she knew I was asking for by her using the animated belittling tone. Then I got a lesson on why it's called blended. A simple ok would have worked. Here is where my family said they would have been fuming and complementing my mannerism. The next line was ok let's circle back you wanted... and of course it was wrong and repeated few time no coffee shot. She was thinking about educating me over proper drink order. Then I get to the window the eyes oh boy the intense eyes with the customer service smile. My order rings up to average $20ish each visit I order a treat, drink and breakfast item. My daughter joins me most of the time at Litchfield location with a higher amount purchase for her family. She hasn't gone back since the aggravating situation. I'm sure we will go back and I'm only one person for this busy popular coffee shop so my break won't make any statements. When I'm out on my errands and weekly treat I'm just not feeling it and want to enjoy my day looking for the friendlier options.

Went in on a Saturday morning and it was like out the door....for a good reason! Every seat was taken and everyone's coffee and food looked SOOO good. The line moved super quick and staff were friendly and helpful. We got a couple coffees, bagels, and a breakfast sandwich. It was all delicious and it was worth the drive. We will be back!!

In general, everything was pretty good but nothing to get blown away by. We got the chai tea latte, ham&cheese croissant, chocolate croissant, and oatmeal pie. Latte was very good as well as ham&cheese croissant, the rest was OK. The inside of the place is decorated very cute and had a great vibe. Might be back in future if in the area.

Best place in the valley! The drive is a bit out of the way for me, but so worth it every time! I love to come to Boyer to unwind or get some work done at one of the cute tables. Such a peaceful atmosphere with unbelievable pastries and amazing dark roast coffee. My favorite spot!

Smells so good! Fresh baked goodies! Nice and welcoming. That caramel macchiato is life changing. Homemade caramel is so buttery and creamy and ooo ooo soooooo delicious!! The cinnamon roll was .... Moist, rich, creamy, made with love! I shared it with my family. They loved it!! This place is so good. The service is sweet. Everyone is nice and welcoming. It smells so good and fresh and like warm bread goodness baking life into the atmosphere. I hope to always find the goodies here.

My Husband and I came on a coffee date here and loved it. First of all, the place is very cute and inviting, the pastry's looked sooo good I wanted to order all and the people were super friendly wich is important to me. I ordered a seasonal honey pistachio coffee that I super recommend and my husband order a seasonal cold brew that also loved. And for the pastry's, we got an Almond Croissant and a hazelnut danish, you have to try them.

The best bakery I have ever been to, the creativity of the pastries and drinks blows me away every time I come and the quality is consistently outstanding, if I could give this place ten stars I would . There is always a line that is how you know it's a favorite among the locals . Specials are always unique and worth trying , I have never had something here I didn't love

We love the Boyer Bakery! It's my favorite place to come treat myself and we love supporting a local business! The treats are always amazing and the coffee is great too. I recommend it to everyone.

This Bakery @theboyerbakery at 13681 N Litchfield Rd, Surprise, AZ 85379 is sooo good! While still in North Carolina (Shout out to Yelp Triad & the Triad!!) we received some churro fudge as a Christmas gift from my Hub's coworker. It was delicious and had the churro flavor down pat. I knew that I'd have to visit this bakery as soon as we moved and had a few nights under our belts. That time has arrived and I splurged on pastries saying they were 'for the kids'. After getting my nails done next door, I enjoyed a hot oatmeal cream pie latte and a crust-less bacon and cheddar quiche in the bakery. I also ordered a triple berry pop tart, a brown sugar pop tart and a churro blondie to go. These were all amazing and delicious! I cannot pick a favorite. I have a feeling every treat served here is equally well-crafted and yummy. I'm sure I'll be visiting again soon!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! We got there right around 8 am and the line was to the door but moved quickly. They have lots and lots of yummy options and the cashier was very friendly. The place was clean and decorated very cute. We got a strawberry smoothie, blueberry muffin, cherry danish, a cinnamon roll, a carrot cake cinnamon roll and a brown sugar pop tart. The brown sugar pop tart was the star of the show! It was incredible!!! If I were to recommend something every one needs to try at least once it's their pop tarts I will 100% be back and be telling everyone about this place!
