Best Road Trip Restaurants From Miami, Florida | Eater Miami

"People flock to this bustling, cramped Delray Beach food market for its incredible selection of produce, fruits, meats, fish, cheeses, and more—all at reasonable prices. There’s a bakery and a prepared food section that will cover your meals any day of the week. Come early and possibly (but possibly not) avoid the crowd." - Alona Martinez

We used Chef Giacomo for our company’s Thanksgiving event and they absolutely exceeded expectations. They arrived on time, the setup was seamless, and the food was incredible. They fed about 100 employees of and every single person was happy. The spread was fresh, well seasoned, beautifully presented, and there was plenty for everyone. Our team kept talking about how good everything tasted. Truly one of the best catering experiences we’ve had. Highly recommend for any corporate event or large gathering. We’ll definitely be using them again.

Google
This is a great specialty market amd it assuredly has every non-run of the mill item you could want - produce, pastas, sauces, etc. But all that said, going to this store involves fighting a mass of humanity most are not prepared for. General civility seems to disappear in light of finding what you want / need. Oddly enough, on my last trip a nice dude from Michigan took the time to help me find things in the store - felt obligated to say "Go Blue" to him even though I'm a state guy. Oh the irony....

Google
This is hands down the best farmers market around. The fruits and vegetables are incredibly fresh and vibrant. The prepared foods not only look delicious but smell absolutely amazing. Both the fish and meat sections are spotless and offer top-quality products. Overall, I’m very impressed with the wide selection and unbeatable prices—definitely better than any supermarket in the area.

Google
Here you'll find delicious fruits, high-quality vegetables, fresh meats and seafood. Prepared meals are also available for purchase.

Google
Update 10/18/25 - the asian dressing that was recommended by a gentleman when I was looking for coleslaw dressing is amazing. I shopped on the fifteenth.Today is the eighteenth and i'm just opening to use my ground Turkey, it's is so fresh. The Spinach pies are so good. See photos from update. Unbelievable meat case, fruits and vegetables are fresh and tasty. Prepared foods are like homemade cooking.

Google
Awesome selection of various premade foods, dinners, produce and seafood. Store can become easily congested, but you don’t wait long to be assisted.

Google
Amazing fresh produce, clean, lots of variety. Enjoy walking around the store looking and finding new things to bring home.

Google
This is not your average super market. Fresh vegetables and fruits and prepared hot foods sold by the pound. Your will find some foods you won't find on your average market. Fresh chickens and meat. The prices are on par with other markets. They are not giving anything away, but they are fair. You may not find every thing you need for the week so you may still want to make a trip to your favorite store, but you should check this place out. They are always mobed, so bring you patience. When you see the crowds, you know they are doing something right.

Yelp
BEST IN FLORIDA HANDS DOWN! Prices are insanely cheap and the organic section is so cheap. They make fresh prepared food that is better than most 5 star restaurants and the ladies service you quick. Yes it's crowded and that's for a reason as smart people shop here. The place has everything you need and more. The nostalgia of the inside is quite a treat. Take a look around and you will enjoy.

Yelp
My partner has always wanted to bring me to this place every time we're in Florida! I'm thrilled we finally had the chance to check it out. The store was bustling, but they had all the exotic fruits I'd been dying to try: Mamey, cacao, and an array of unique tropical fruits. They offer a deli, meats, seafood, hot and freshly cut fruit sections, an abundance of bread, cheeses, sauces, spreads, olives, pickles, gourmet pasta, smoked salmon, as well as fruits and vegetables. I was incredibly impressed by their extensive inventory, although the unique fruits were quite pricey. Unfortunately, I couldn't purchase them this time since we were flying out the next day and the fruits weren't ripe. However, I'm eagerly anticipating my next visit to snag them, and maybe even enjoy a delightful lunch there!

Yelp
I've never noticed the fish salads & sardines in buckets at the seafood counter. We enjoyed samples, I was leased nothing was fishy. Tonight's dinner will be seafood over a bed of lettuce- scrumptious!

Yelp
Fabulous place especially if you specialize in Italian cooking. Bit pricey for my inflation ridden pocket

Yelp
It's an experience. Once you get past the crowd it's magnificent. Hard to find ingredients, high quality everything. Fresh baked breads and desserts. Huge selection of cheese. So many choices for Charcuterie. Prepared foods are ao delicious. My favorite is the Palermo chicken. It's divine. All kinds of produce from all over the world. Fresh meats. All sorts of seafood. Deli is impressive. Omg the shrimp salad is so yummy and decadent. Organized and clean.

Yelp
Every week from Miami visit this place. Very good stocked, service and prices. Ambiance is Farmers style like the name. Always recommended.

Yelp
Great produce at relatively cheap prices! They're always cutting up fresh fruit and serving hot food. They have a great selection of wine, cured meats and cheeses. The store is very cramped and it can get extremely crowded here. Best to go early if you can. You will find 90% of items you need, just have to look all over!

Yelp
Today I went to the boys at 9 o'clock in the morning. They opened at 8:30 and the parking lot was full in front and in back. I thought I was in for a big mess. The people were crowded but everything moved very smoothly. The shelves were stockedand the checkout lines also moved very quickly. Getting out of the parking lot is always a challenge but today it seemed like everyone was being careful. I hope all of the employees at the boys have a wonderful new year. They do great work all year long and I love coming here!

Yelp
Memories of this place from when I lived in Boynton Beach back in 2000/2001, so it was fun to get back to here in 2023. This time, we're picking up a party platter that was put together for a gathering at my Dad's house. Hint: It hasn't changed much. I was not present for the ordering process but I'm told it was super easy with help from the head chef who took some information and made some big promises. We arrived on time to pick up and everything went super smooth. The main guy checked off the order sheet against what we had, confirmed it was all present, and then had one of his crew bring us to the register. Then the guy even loaded it all into the car. Awesome! Unwrapping it at the party was a fantastic success. Mozzarella balls and tomatoes on sticks. Rollups of prosciutto with vegetables. Rollups of smoked salmon with cream cheese. Perfectly cooked shrimp with cocktail sauce. The platter of poached salmon was good but the pieces were perhaps too big for party eating but we'll be dining on that for a few days - I had some for breakfast this morning with my eggs. Overall, extremely pleased with our party bites from The Boys and we'll be back again. As for the shop itself, it is crowded, tight, a bit overwhelming and loaded with all sorts of great stuff that you probably won't find at any other supermarket in Palm Beach County. The parking lot is T.I.G.H.T. and it's full of people who can't turn their heads to look behind them as they back up. I'm almost surprised to not see broken crumbles of glass from cars bumping. [Review 19221 overall - 1606 in Florida - 191 of 2023.]

Yelp
Just Go ! It's Awesome. Bakery, cheese and charcuterie, butcher, huge fresh vegetable selection, hot "Ready-to-eat" bar, GREAT PRICES, fish monger, fresh fruit & salad Great market. Ask for Mike, he'll welcome ya in. See you when ya get there.

Yelp
The boys market is fabulous. It Carries all types vegetables for Hispanic food & regular food. The only drawback is the isles are very very narrow. If you can't find what you are looking for, helpers are Very friendly & accommodating. They are the only store that carries Horizon fat fre e milk. Everybody in Botnton beach knows the BOYS. Good shopping to all.

Erin Clarke G.

Yelp
Insanely coool Packed with treasures. Cultural experience. The best. Live it!!!

Yelp
The best fruit and produce in the area. Amazing selection for quality products at reasonable prices.

Yelp
The Boys Farmers Market is a short drive for us, and is a must visit Tis a forty-year tradition that we celebrate the New Year in the Sunshine State, The Golden State or the Aloha State, and this year we elect the pleasant Atlantic Ocean sand beaches of Marriott's Ocean Pointe in Palm Beach. Given the convenience of our Resort kitchen, we make time to visit and shop several West Palm Beach Farmer's Markets. Royal Palm Beach Green Market & Bazaar is always an adventure that we both enjoy. Lots of friendly vendors and customers, and great opportunities on fresh produce. Parking is limited We like the various take away food options The fare is appropriate for the tariff!

Yelp
Loved this spot! It's like a little supermarket with lots of interesting food finds and appetizers/dishes they make as well. Loved the selection and unique finds for sure and will be back next time I'm in town, to try some more things. Be prepared for the crowdedness and shopping carts turning around tight corners though! I'm from Texas so I hadn't been in a crowded market for a second, and this place will remind you of being in street markets in other parts of the world. But those are the places where you find the best of things, so I'm not complaining!

Yelp
I needed a fruit platter so I went to the Boys Market. The display didn't have the size that I wanted so the very nice ladies there made one up for me. I take it to the cash register and the cashier keeps looking at it and tells me it's the wrong price. She then takes the platter to the manager and he marks it up to a higher price. The manager did not even come over to explain it to me. I left all my groceries there and will NEVER GO BACK THERE. The proper thing to do would be to give it to me for the price that was on the tag and then go to speak with the produce department. Such poor business practices.

Mitchell S.

Yelp
The fruits and vegetables are always top notch. There is no place in South Florida that could ever compare to this Multi-Generational Family run awesome business. I especially love the cut up fruits and papaya!

Constance S.

Yelp
Great selection of bakery, produce, meat, seafood, and hot food. Prices aren't bad either. Customer service was average and inside is clean.

Steven M.

Yelp
So much has changed at the boys. FOOD PRICES NO LONGER COMPETITIVE as prices are higher than most places. Cooked dishes have changed .it's too small a area and getting around inside is a hassle. Yes they do have a wide selection of fruits and vegetables but $$$. I get better basic good from Aldi at bargain pricing. I heard they sold out if true then I can see these changes that have turned negative.

Yelp
What a cool shopping experience. I want to go back midweek when it's likely to be less crowded. Fresh pasta! Produce!!!! Seafood! Cheese! Meat! We were able to find almost everything we wanted to buy, but it's more like a scavenger hunt than a trip to a wide-aisled grocery store. Be ready to impulse-buy--because that's the fun of this place.

Gail W.

Yelp
Great fresh selections and very helpful service. Bakery and fresh seafood are delicious.

Yelp
I love The Boys Farmers Market in Delray Beach. Today I sampled their watermelon and it was sweet and cold. So I bought one. I sampled the fresh homemade guacamole and it was so good so I bought some too. I asked if they had fish dip and it turns out that they make their own in-house. So I bought fresh fish dip too. It was so delicious that I ate it all in the parking lot. If you want it fresh you might want to ride over to The Boys
google avatar

Joseph P.

Yelp
Great hidden jem of Delray Beach. Great produce cheese, deli, seafood,Jewish items and fresh pastry. Fresh daily bagels, pickles etc. produce is to die for. They have a person coring fresh pineapple right infri t of yiu. Great cooked prepared meals about 30 feet of hot tables. Old style large market.

Jody M.

Yelp
If you can beat the crowd, it's a great place to shop for veggies, fruits, and premade meals
google avatar

Luisa B.

Yelp
I LOVE the prepared foods! Fresh and deliciously prepared! But their braided Italian bread surpasses any in South Florida and a lot in NY. I drive from Broward to get some! Lots of good ingredients to shop as well!

Gwen B.

Yelp
The food is great! Stuffed cabbage, cream cheeses, tiramisu... all delicious! Unfortunately, the parking lot is a disaster and so I either go early, early morning or when the snowbirds go home. Lol!
google avatar

Jody L.

Yelp
Best market in the Boca area! Fresh fruits and vegetables, great selection of cheeses and specialty items and prices are terrific. Prepared food choices are plentiful and delicious. Many organic and healthy options- also priced well. The isles are narrow and it can be crowded inside and in the parking lot so go early if possible.
google avatar

Clair S.

Yelp
Perhaps I've reviewed this place before but it would deserve another KUDOS from me! I live in what I consider a foodie's wasteland of grocery stores. I can't buy anything special or European unless I travel way out of my way. -so when I visit my fam in South Fl it's ALWAYS a very special treat cause I get to shop at The Boys Farmers Market where EVERYTHING is fresh delicious and hard to find items are everywhere!! Cheeses sausages pates of every kind, breads, pastries and don't get me started of their fresh fruits and veggies. Their seafood market is 2nd to NONE. They even have AMAZING ready to eat foods that are absolutely delicious!! The service is excellent and I have yet to run into a grumpy or rude employee here. If you have never heard or been to this place GO! Prepare for crowds cuz it's a one of a kind market!! Be patient.

Yelp
I have "reevaluated" my feelings about The Boys since my last time many years ago, Their fruit and vegetables are MUCH better than Publix and generally quite a bit cheaper. Just about everything in their prepared food is very good. Be prepared to be jammed, in by the small aisles and the pushy shoppers. best time to shop (YMMV) is just before lunchtime during the week I cannot find the "secret code" to locating some items...ask, they are pretty helpful....

Yelp
After breakfast came across town to the Farmers Market. I really enjoy shopping here because I know what I want and don't dilly dally and there are plenty of staff to help everyone to find what they can't. I find their fresh made salads the best in the county! They are plain and simple but fresh! They have a new super helper in that that area gets rather busy and people get a little pushy but supergirl comes to save the day and organizes the crowd and they listen! The organization makes everyone smile behind and outside the counter. The fresh cooked meals generally are good for 2 meals and are reasonably priced. The fish counter has me salivating but unless I plan to cook it's all fresh I don't freeze. The vegetables are huge I was glad to see the celery can be purchased by the stalk. My husband loves their fresh cut up cantaloupe cause wifey does not cater. Yes at times it can be busy but hey that's what makes shopping here so exciting you never know who you might run into.
google avatar

Cliff L.

Yelp
Great food. Almost not cooking yourself. I stopped making my stuffed cabbage because their product is as good as mine. If your kids are moved out it's cheaper and easier to go to the boys.
google avatar

Beth R.

Yelp
Exactly what you want! Fresh, extraordinary selections that make you want to host!! Boys Market is the real deal - NYC bodega transplanted in South Florida (as if!!!) and if you need it, they have it - even if you didn't know you needed it!!

Arlene K.

Yelp
It's very hard to pass someone who has stopped to get something because the isles are too narrow. But their prepared foods are delicious and the only place I can get grandmas rolls. Their fruits and vegetables isles are filled with perfection. Everyone who works there works hard, they are always filling up fresh veggies. It's like going to a farmers market, but indoors. Oh, be careful in the parking lot
google avatar

Vincent C.

Yelp
What ever you're looking for in food pre-cooked food, fruits, cheeses-wines vegetables, seafood, precooked food is all at the boys and it also is very good

Iris T.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this market. The prices were extremely reasonable and just had lunch chicken salad, it was delicious. Will travel miles to shop there again

Grace Y.

Yelp
I got Mike Burgers and veggies catering yesterday and it was the best taste ever. The ordering was very easy and pleasant. Very respectful owner and employees. The presentation was excellent. Everyone loved it and it was very affordable. Now I know where to go for my next occasion. I give it more than 5 .
google avatar

Yelp
Great variety of fruits , vegetables and baked goods. Fabulous fresh fish and many prepared meals. Lasagna, meatballs, Turkey , penne pasta , all very good. They have a nice meat counter with fresh chicken. Why four stars ? You take your life in your hands parking and walking in. The people are nuts. They do nothing to aid with parking. It's a real mess.
google avatar

Kevin J.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Probably the best farmer's market around. Huge variety of produce, freshly cut fruit, butcher shop, fish, cheeses, deserts, you name it they have it in abundance. I haven't tried any of the prepared food but they have a large selection. Very friendly staff. It's amazing how much stuff they have fit into the space. Prices are good, not cheap but fair. I go for the produce but if you wanted, you wouldn't need any other grocery store.
google avatar

Teri A.

Yelp
I can't believe I never wrote a review for the Boy's Market. Been coming here at least once a year for over fifteen years. Each time I visit my family, I visit the market. Delicious desserts, fresh fruits and vegetables. And a variety of cooked food. Man....you can't go wrong here. Love this place!
google avatar

Becca K.

Yelp
I have a LOVE / HATE relationship with this market . I love their produce, their hot meals, selection of cheese, bread and desserts but I hate the cramped parking, very narrow over stuffed shelves and aisles and the impatient often cranky rude customers . the staff are helpful and God knows they are patient . Since the produce and food is great , I overlook the rest . I do recommend early afternoon shopping , otherwise, you may need a few prayers and a Xanax if you shop there on a weekend . Bon Appetit

Bill R.

Yelp
Great prices on a vast number of high quality produce. The place gets very crowded on the weekend so I suggest you go on a weekday if possible.

David L.

Yelp
Fantastic bakery, the seven layer cake is light with perfect texture and flavor. We go for the chocolate-chocolate but they also have a yellow (I think) cake. The Russian coffee cake is also tremendous. Excellent selection of veggies, meats, and prepared foods. Excellent, attentive, friendly customer service. The parking lot does get crowded. I park in the northern part of the lot and walk a few extra steps, it's easier to get in and out.
google avatar

Rich K.

Yelp
Great place so many great things from the bakery to the meat department and everything in between fresh fish is amazing and so is the produce I was surprised how economically They were priced, great place to shop, especially if you go early in the morning.
google avatar

Roger M.

Yelp
It's crazy here. Do not come on a Saturday. Do not come if you do not like crowds. Do not come if you think that Publix has great produce. (It doesn't.) The Boys is all about finding the freshest premium ingredients in the area, paying the price for it, and hoping to get out alive.

Yelp
After hearing many people talk about this place, I decided to check it out myself. My first impression was the parking lot which was horrible to park, but I was lucky enough to catch somebody backing out, and I could pull right in. I grabbed a cart, and they have a cart wash, a sanitizing unit that you push the cart through, much like a car wash. As you entered, they talked about practicing social distancing. They made you wash your hands in sanitizer all before entering the store. Once I got into the store, I realized not even a cockroach could social distant with all the people in there, but everybody was wearing masks and being cautious. As I walk through the store, it looks like a typical farmers market type of a place until I got towards the back of the store, and I went, "wow" this is one of those places that have the wow factor built into it. They had plenty of variety of just about anything that you wanted, fresh bread, fresh cake, cooked food, fresh vegetables, you name it was there including cheese. We wound up picking out some veggies some potatoes. unfortunately, I picked out a Russian coffee cake made of apricot, a chocolate Babka, and a blueberry pie. The apricot coffee cake didn't make it into the house too long as it was devoured within 10 minutes of arriving. It was absolutely delicious coffee cake; I looked at the Babka about 30 minutes later and I heard the Babka calling my name; as much as I try to ignore it, it kept saying "come here" in the same voice you heard in the movie "little shop of horror". I felt that I was Seymour trying to get away from the bobka, but I lost. I must say that this is probably the best Babka that I have ever had or, if not the best, very close. I was very impressed with everything I saw there, very impressed at the cakes, and that poor empanada that didn't even make it to the car before it was devoured and that was also very good. I'm hoping the Babka lasts until tomorrow, and the blueberry pie can make it to the weekend, but I'm not making any promises. You really need to go down here and check this place out if you haven't already I noticed they have it Italian section where they served I believe it was stuffed shells lasagna, I didn't find the pizza to the very end which is actually what I was looking for before I grabbed the empanada. As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say, "I'll be back"

M-J R.

Yelp
Great selection of everything. High end gourmet grocery items along with big selection of prepared foods. The presentation isn't high end looking but rather a raw looking space. Good wine selection. The building is older and not attractive but it serves the purpose. Well priced.

Donna F.

Yelp
Crowded store. Great fruit and veggies, gorgeous slicing tomatoes. Prices reasonable. Lovely cheeses. But aisles too small and other customers very rude. Parking lot is dangerous. Take your life in your hands if you go in season. My husband goes early in morning and buys eggs. Not as crowded.

Deb G.

Yelp
I love the boys farmers market however, making your way through the store can be difficult as people are everywhere and are actually pretty rude. They'll run you over with their cart
google avatar

B. M.

Yelp
Amazing. Simply stated, fruits and vegetables are the freshest you can find anyways and prices were surprisingly very cheap or reasonable - forget Publix I'm coming here. Plus the pre made salads and cuts of meats. Better quality for the price.
google avatar

Yelp
My secret.... shop in the last hr before closing on a Sat to get front row parking and less people to run into inside. Had my quick run to get some eggplant, red onions, spinach, cherry tomatoes, cabbage, bitter melon, Chinese broccoli, yams, cilantro, and baby sweet peppers. I use to go on Sundays with the crazy crowd. Now I can go and get home in 40 mins. My splurge for today was a Boy's jar of roasted red peppers. The challenging moment was when I picked the "cashier in training" and took longer checking out. They are very diverse in their veggies, so to learn the names of this stuff without barcodes, can be quite challenging. But, I know I will usually find a good selection of Asian veggies.
