The Branch Neighborhood Grill

We had an amazing experience at Branch Neighborhood Grill in New Braunfels! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the chicken fried steak, and was perfectly crispy, tender, and full of flavor. The portion size was generous, and the gravy was rich and savory. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The service was great, and we were pleasantly surprised that the wait wasn’t very long, even though the place had a good crowd. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a casual meal. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

Stopped by for a late lunch with our grand children.They love to play on the playground. We had to ask them to clean one of the many dirty tables outside. Our server struggled to be friendly after giving me an eye roll before she knew she was our server, I ordered grilled chicken and it was clearly precooked. Maybe even flash frozen. I could not eat it. Mashed potatoes were not fresh either. I doubt we will go back.

They charged $16 for the catfish order, asked what kind of fries, so I chose sweet potato fries, then found I was charged $2.50 extra for the sweet potato fries, but you can see from my photo I only received around 11 fries. And I was never told they were extra. The fish was good though.

We used to love this place but lately it’s been horrible service. The coin machines eat the kids quarters and the staff gets upset when you complain about their money being eaten. The food was incredibly salty at our last visit. The fried pickles were literally doused in a pound of salt. Overall the chicken was good. Very very loud, long wait, and server never came by once during our visit except to bring our food. Not worth the $15-20 per person.

Boy do I love this place. 😀 I've never had a bad meal or experience here. We've eaten here several times and have picked up to go orders for the family at least a dozen times. The service is always perfect. The food is amazing and everything is priced accordingly. We will be back again and again and again. Did I mention how much I love this place?

Given a gift card to this place for Christmas and decided to just only cash it in. Order when you come in, they give you a ticket, you give the ticket to the waitress upon sitting, and get your food. Interesting concept but it keeps the high turnover of the tables. We sat outside so we could watch the kids play at the playground. Server was great! Food came quick and service is great. We ordered burgers for us both and quesadillas for the kids. They were all very delicious and savoury. Not a big fan of the small fries but they were good.

Great restaurant. Very well run... Friendly service, excellent management, great food! I love the efficiency of ordering. The play area for kids is securely enclosed and super fun! The cheese steak was excellent! The onion chips were also a must-try! Portions are quite large... Even the kid's meals!

I was passing through on the way home and recalled seeing this restaurant featured on Good Eats with Tanji. I was craving homestyle food and opted for the chicken tender basket. This was not your typical basket but rather homemade chicken tenders in a delicious breading. It was fresh, juicy, filled with flavor and plentiful. The ultra skinny shoestring fries were also good - well seasoned and perfect crisp. I topped it off with a butterfinger shake! It was delicious and the right balance of butterfinger chunks within. The service was excellent too. I went around lunch time and the restaurant was full but with no long wait. Thanks Tanji for this restaurant. It was a great find with delicious food!

My daughter invited me to lunch with her and her husband at the Branch. I have never been here before and they know I like trying new restaurants. My daughter and I ordered the small fried catfish plate. The catfish was lightly breaded and inside that fried goodness was flakey white meat, served on a generous portion of thinly cut French fries. The fried catfish and fries were delicious. My son in law had the chicken fried chicken and said it was very tasty although he felt the breading on the chicken was a little thin. Our server was great, she checked on us regularly to make sure there was nothing we needed. As far as the ambiance well, if you like Willies Ice House you'll love this place. The Branch is much larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. I would definitely come back here again.

My experience with The Branch is iffy. I've been here a few times and not necessarily had a bad experience but not amazing. It's very reliable, Staff is nice, Service is quick, Cool environment. I haven't had a lot of their menu items but the ones I have had are good. But kinda feels like it's missing something, But would recommend!

We had lunch here this week . The service was horrendous. The chicken we had was dried out over cooked and not up to their usual standard. They are using a different chicken breast. Smaller , thinner and much less flavor . They up charged us for subbing in a side salad for fries. We have been steady customers for 5 years and after this 40 dollar debacle not coming back.

This place is poppin!! If you've been to fuddruckers or beefy's backyard it has that same kind of vibe, very family friendly they have a playground set in the back outside. I split the full rack of ribs and it was the perfect amount, let me tell you these ribs were so delicious but they were literally falling off the bone. I'd go back here again just for the ribs. When you enter you order at the counter and then the food is brought to your table, tables are open seating so sit wherever you want. I didn't know this because if you get a soft drink when you order your food they let you fill it up yourself, but when you sit down at the table you need to let the servers fill the drinks up for you lol. That part was not communicated very well whoops.

Simply put, we love the Branch and eat there weekly. It is a great place to have a meal and everyone is so friendly. Try the new item now offered, chili dogs!

What can I say? I'm still a sucker for the grilled catfish. The family love the salads, the burgers, the calamari and the fried mushrooms. Consistent good, affordable food and service keep us coming back for more.

We headed to @thebranchsbtx for dinner tonight. It's a popular spot with many people there for dinner too. Dad had Lemonade, Hubby had a Frozen Margarita, and I had the Margarita called White Lightning. We tried the Coconut Shrimp with shoestring fries and it's fabulous. Loved the marmalade sauce! Hubby had a salad with his Catfish/Shrimp Combo. Dad and I shared the Full Rack of Ribs with mashed potatoes and sweet potato wedges. Definitely more food than we could finish.

We go here pretty often because we don't have a lot of decent restaurant choices in Bulverde/Spring Branch. The food is good and the margaritas are too. My kid loves the strawberry milkshakes. I usually get the blackened salmon and it's always very good. But the steaks, catfish, shrimp, and burgers are also good. Fun to sit out on the back patio and let the kids play. Although, our daughter is nearly 13 now so we don't utilize the playground anymore. But still fun to sit out there and remember the days when she still thought we were cool.

Love the atmosphere - especially outside. Great food with full bar. Looks like you order at the bar, but we just placed our drink order there and appetizers. Then we were seated at a table where a waitress took our orders and additional drinks. Wewill definitely go back to try more things.

This place is so cute! Made a stop here on a really chilly day. You order at the front and then get sat down. The waitress comes to you. The chicken sandwich i got was perfect! Fries were great, service was outstanding. Such a Cozy cute spot! I will definitely be back!

The food might not be 5-star but the service certainly was! We stopped by to pick up food. Tome was very helpful as was a couple of Branch Neighborhood Grill regulars. We ordered and were offered complimentary soft drinks because we were waiting. Our order (10oz Sirloin, Blackened Chicken Sandwich and Deep-fried shrimp were prepped in 10 minutes!!! Great service as far as I'm concerned. Took the order home and everyone was wholly satisfied. The chicken sandwich really tasty ... great flavor. Very satisfying meal and splendid service.

Food was actually great. The children running around screaming and plowing through everyone was not. I can't blame the workers, but be forewarned you'll be tending to other families' children for your entire visit.

My kids loved playing on the playground. They also loved the Mozzarella sticks. I feel like it is a great place to hang out with the fam.

Love this place . We come here almost once a month! Mainly because they have the huge playground for my kids to play! The outdoor patio it's so nice and relaxing . They also have the best prices. The food it's very good I almost like the whole menu! and they even sell beer and margaritas! It's just perfect also great service always

Came in with a group of three people. The Branch is a cute neighborhood spot with a chill vibe. Upon entering there's a small queue that leads to the cash registers with the menu above on the back wall. Orders are taken there and you seat yourself and before too long a server will come around and double check your order to ensure it's all correct. We like and have ordered the chopped salad with balsamic vinaigrette a couple of times and the chicken tenders are juicy and flavorful, so yummy. Service is usually pretty good, we try to avoid the more popular times, lol! If you haven't been here you need to go! Great family fun and food. Pro tip, bring the kids there's a fun playground on the premises.

If you're looking for small town family friendly restaurant, this place is for you. We ordered the fried catfish and shrimp plate. Yum! Seasoned perfectly and not over cooked. We also ordered the chicken fried steak. All I can say is mmmm delicious.

I like every menu item but the new chili dog special sounded good having their seasonal bowl of chili in the past but the chili dog was so excessively salty I couldn't eat it. It was like eating a salt lick

Personal size pizzas, and all their sandwiches are very good. They also have fudge! You can phone in an order and they're happy to oblige!

Great food and atmosphere at The Branch tonight. Drinks, appetizers, and meal was excellent tonight. Local Spring Branch restaurant with a menu that everyone in the family will like. The service was fast, and the wait staff very attentive.

This restaurant seems to be identical to Willie's Icehouse just so you can have an idea what type of restaurant it is. It has so much seating and an outdoor patio with a playground (fenced in) for the kids. I gave them a four star rating because this is just my first visit. However, I would give them 5 Stars for their Grilled Salmon. I think it was the best salmon I ever had! So WW friendly because of the salmon and also the veggies which I also loved. It was served over seasoned rice which was also good. Our waitress was Laura C. and she did a great job and was so friendly!!

Loved this restaurant! It reminded me of Willies in SA. You walk up and place your order as you go in then sit wherever you'd like. It had indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio with a playground for the kids. We ordered the catfish/shrimp plate and the 1/2 pound of shrimp. It was the perfect portion and everything tasted great! I signed up for the rewards and received a free appetizer on the spot through email. We ordered the fried pickles. All the staff were friendly. Prices were very reasonable. So glad we came across this spot when in the area.

I will have to say I didn't know what to expect since I hadn't been in a while. The last time I went there they had a rock pebble ground under the play area. My daughter got hit in the head so I promised never to go there. The management never even came out to see what happened or if she was ok. So three years later I decided to give it another chance. I will say I am not a fan of the counter service ambiance and then repeating the order at the table. I will have to say our server was not very attentive and we had to track down the server next to us for service. I will say the food was pretty good. The typical burger and fries type place nothing really that stood out except for the fried cheese curds. I would definitely say if you just want apps and some drinks and let the kids go play in the refurbished playground to get out of your hair for a bit this is the place for you, but not for us.

From the top! When you pull into the parking lot, the line is out the door. DO NOT FREAK OUT! It actually moves fast and is definitely worth it. Before you're even seated, you pre-order the food for your entire group, which is actually awesome. Don't worry about wanting more drinks later, because the server will definitely add them to your bill when you request one. Anyway, you place your order, then you're seated at a table, where you hand the slip to the server and they go send it to the kitchen for you. No more worries about orders being wrong or someone in the party taking ten thousand years to decide while everyone else is starving! Our server for the night was Trina and she was PHENOMENAL! Absolutely wonderful service from start to finish, and she's a complete sweetheart! The food was amazing, the service was wonderful, and it was very family-friendly. The hubby and I came with the baby this time, but we will definitely come back with the big kids so they can play on the playground while we watch the game on one of the TVs. It's so clean and friendly! We had the coconut shrimp appetizer, the mahi Milano, and baby back ribs, but we are definitely coming back soon to try the calamari, chicken fried steak, and sangrita! I need to figure out what the frozen white drink was that everyone was drinking. That seemed to be a super popular drink choice. I guess we will know soon enough! Thanks for the wonderful night! Please put some alternate french fry on the menu. The little guys are the weak link in the menu from what I've experienced. Great chicken fried steak, but I'm stuck with that. Can't get a burger w those odd ball fries. *Thanks, Terry! I'll get the waffle fries next time. What a time to be alive!

PLEASE READ IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS OR ACCOMMODATIONS! The food and the service was awesome. Great food. Great service. Simple. To the point. BUT If you are visiting with a person who needs special services, please be aware that they take their rule about all guests ordering first and waiting to sit at a table VERY SERIOUSLy. We were eating with a elderly woman with Alzheimer's who has difficulty navigating situations and they would not let us wait at a table that was less difficult to get to (there are a few different levels in the floor plan) while the last member of our party ordered. They actually made us get up and wait until we physically had our ticket in hand. - which was only about 5 minutes because she was literally ordering when we went to secure an appropriate table. But with in that time we had to move to a table that was down 2 sets of stairs and a ramp with our guest. So yes, they do post signs that state this, so we were aware, but I think patrons might appreciate knowing that while the service and food are great, they absolutely do not accommodate special needs at all. AT ALL.

I ordered the Chopped salad w/8oz of Salmon and let me tell you!!!! The blackened Salmon on top of the chopped Salad was amazing. Served w/ ranch and balsamic dreee! I think I have found my new favorite lunch at the Branch!! All the items on the menu are served perfectly and always the same last month or today. Constantly great food and drinks here!!!

I have a niece that goes to the high school near by, so I took her here for dinner after practice. It was a great area and plenty of good people around!! The food was amazing and the service to get your food was unique and very smooth!!

Just had a late lunch here. Food was great, but service was not. We saw our waitress 2 times. She took our order and delivered our order. We had to go find hot sauce, had to go find Togo boxes, and had to go ask to get our ticket. Sad since it's such a nice place.

This restaurant has good food and drinks for a reasonable price!! The atmosphere is family friendly and has a large play scape at the back of the restaurant. :)

We came for lunch today and our servers name was Emily B on the receipt. She was amazing. She was reccomenfing things off the menu and really promoting the bussines. I had no idea yapl had a pulled pork baked potatoes till she told us. And let me tell you it was amazing. She was great and the food was great!

Fun place to eat! You order before sitting down so be ready to make a decision. Delicious margarita's! Had the loaded baked potato- it was huge and so so good! Also had the garden dinner salad which was fresh and tasty! Great service both initially when you order and during your meal. Would definitely go back!

Food was amazing, delicious, hot. We got the fried mushrooms but is a huge portion. The mixed grill plate is my favorite. The service was excellent!

Went for the first time and had a late supper. the entrance leads you to the ordering counter. You handed a ticket and seat yourself. Waiter service for drinks and extras. Staff is super nice. I had the Branch Chop Salad with salmon and a loaded side baked potato. The salad was awesome! If I had known that the salad was the size of a dinner plate, I would have not gotten the potato. It was definitely the right amount for supper. Definitely a place to be a little loud, so if you have a large group, you might have to yell across the table to hear each other. lol

This place used to have good and friendly service. The service has declined as the past few times we have been there the servers seem utterly annoyed to be there or be serving us. Yesterday's visit was the last straw and we won't be returning again. There are better places in the area where you won't feel like you are bothering your server to just be there trying to enjoy a meal and quality family time.

Our ladies luncheon group met at The Branch for lunch this past Thursday and I must say the food and service was great. We had a variety of different meals and everyone enjoyed their entree. The service was excellent and we enjoyed not being rushed through lunch which allowed us visit. I'm sure we will be back soon.

It's always a pleasure to eat at The Branch. The service is great, the plates are affordable, the atmosphere is down home, and the food is absolutely excellent! I feel fortunate to live nearby. It's one of my favorite places!

The Branch is always awesome for food and service, but our server last night, Hailey D, was outstanding. It's rare to find someone who is so attentive, listens to what you have to say, and polite as can be! We appreciated the hospitality, and wanted to give a shout out to Hailey!

This is a really cool and family friendly place. We had a larger party with kids for a birthday and it worked great. They have good drinks for the adults and a great playground for the kiddos. Definitely recommend for a great way to kick back with the kids.

I love, love, LOVE this place! Every single time we go, I'm always glad we did. Excellent food, decent price per quality/portion size ratio, and a great playground! They won me over a couple of years ago when we were new to the place and my husband had had a weird interaction with a server that led him to never want to return. I don't take disappointment well, especially when queso is involved, so I called and spoke to a manager about the situation. I expected the typical apathetic manager giving a canned response and offering a coupon to smooth things over, but what happened next revived my faith in the restaurant and illustrated why The Branch is so consistently fantastic. The manager kept me on the phone for at least 15 minutes, asking questions, getting details, and explaining his frustration and sorrow, as well as his next steps. No idea what happened after we got off the phone, but we've been back countless times since then and have never had anything, but great experiences.
