The Brass Tap

We were SO impressed with the food at Brass Tap! We got the hot honey pizza + Caesar salad, both of which were excellent. The crispy chicken and fries were delicious as well! They also have some of the best mocktails we’ve had. Super delicious and definitely underrated spot!

This must be a hidden gem in Libbie Mill, Richmond. Sure, there are more of the, but this one is SPECIAL! Our hostess today (Wednesday 30th of July 2025) was such a sweetie, the food was awsome, ND quickly served! Some very nice Crafts on tap, even happy hours!

Mediocre food and horrible service at the bar. Whoever that bartender guy is needs to go, that guy is clearly on something cuz he kept forgetting my items I ordered. Plus, the other little server chick they had at the bar was underage cuz she said she wasn’t allowed to serve alcohol yet, and I literally had to flag her down to get my food since the one bartender they had was too busy running his mouth with other customers for a good 10 mins. The final straw for me was when I had to remind the bartender to grab my check to pay the bill, and he was like that’ll be $50. I was like say what?! Then he looked at the bill and realized he charged full price on one of my drinks during happy hour and tried to stiff me on the bill. Brass Tap, you guys are FIRED 👎

Great place. Very well put together. Nice staff and great customer service. Place was very nice. Music was ok but could have been better. The drinks tho lawd the drinks were on point. The bartender was doing her thing. The pizza was good as also. I would definitely come back here with no problem.

The Brass Tap in Richmond is top tier. The staff and new manager Lisa were extremely warm and welcoming considering it was my first time there. They introduced original hand crafted beers in addition to new creations like the Spiked Arnold Palmer. If you’re in the Richmond area and love a good bar/grill spot, this is definitely one you should go to.

This is my second time visiting this location. Best food and service. We went there last weekend for Brunch, it was delicious and lots of varieties in food. Compared to other places, the service was excellent and quick. I tried the dinner menu in the same week, it was good. Ask for Karishma, she helped us. Would comeback again. I highly recommend other people to try this place. Planning to go there for Mother’s Day special brunch this weekend with family.

Really Nice spot! Tons of TVs for sports fans. Tons of beer on tap I had some cider was very good. Wife had the burger on lettuce wrap I had the white pizza and we had the Buffalo cauliflower as a app. All the food was great Brussels as a side instead of fries had roasted red peppers and were delicious. Plenty of patio space on both sides and server was great. I’ll be back!

The beer selection here is impressive, but the happy hour discounts are minimal and not worth making a special trip for. We stopped by for a casual afternoon drink with friends, and unfortunately, the service was quite slow. There was only one person managing the entire bar and floor, which made for a long wait as he tried to juggle everything on his own. It's clear he was doing his best, but the lack of additional staff made the service sluggish. While it's not his fault, it did mean that getting our orders took longer than expected.

This was a decent spot, my father and I randomly stopped here for some lunch. We ended up getting the shrimp basket with fries and honestly it was so good, the fries were perfectly crisped and the shrimp was hot and crunchy. We also got a tequila flight with some pretty unique flavors that u haven't really seen offered elsewhere. The server wasn't extremely attentive and took a while for our drinks but other than that it was good. It was nice and spacious in there I liked the decor it gave warehouse vibes which I find cool. Good vibe overall, I might stop by again one day if I'm in the area

First off, the positives: The waitress was nice and attentive. She checked in with us several times and our orders came out fairly quickly. We did not feel like she was neglecting our table at all. I will be speaking just about my order and not the experience of everyone at the table. I found their menu online and was really excited because I love a Mojito this time of year and they offered a Mojito flight. Their flight comes with five different flavors, one of which is the original Mojito. There were no descriptors to what was in the other 4 flavors/drinks but I thought "why not, maybe I'll discover something new to love." It was an absolute disappointment. All 5 Mojitos were memorable for all the wrong reasons. The original didn't taste like a Mojito at all. Each of the other 4 drinks were sickly sweet with a 'hard to get ' flavor, and were garnished with a single Mojito leaf that did not taste even slightly muddled. Other than that, I ordered fish and chips and it was kind of weird that the piece of fish fell apart every time I tried to pick it up... overall the food was fine. Needless to say, this was a first and final visit.

Food and drinks were great! We ordered the shrimp basket with sweet potatoes fries and everything was cooked perfectly and flavorful. Taking off one star solely due to the fact the women's restroom was absolutely gross. They're having a plumbing issue but didn't have signs up or anything. Besides that, I would come back!

I don't love this place, which is a shame since they are my neighbor, and I was hyped for months ahead of their opening this past February. I've been a handful of times now and haven't been impressed with the food, drinks, service, or atmosphere. I've sat at tables twice and at the bar twice. Service was only decent the one time I sat at the bar when it wasn't moderately busy. Otherwise, it seems pretty scattered. They don't have a host, so it's a seat-yourself type of place, which isn't always ideal when, as I was told by a server recently, they didn't see me sit down (at a table that shouldn't have been considered hidden). I will say they do have an impressive selection of draft beers and cans with a wide range of styles; that will keep me going back, I'm sure. However, I do hope they are properly cleaning their lines. A friend and I split a flight last weekend, and one beer that had amazing Untappd reviews in a style we both generally love was nothing short of foul....and it came with THREE! fruit fly floaters. We left it behind. In terms of food, I'm just not a fan. It all feels like frozen, Restaurant-Depot esque bland bar food. I've had the cheese curds, the nachos, the burger, and the pretzel, and wasn't impressed with any of them. I am open to suggestions for a better choice. It is a bar, and as such, the noise level can be deafening depending on how many people are there. They do have outdoor seating, which seems nice. I do hope they improve with time.

Great atmosphere, especially to watch a sports game! Good selection of beer and food. Service is a little slow but staff is super nice. Food is mediocre/typical bar food. Nachos are great to share with the table. Wings are flavorful. Pizza is okay - kind of tastes like a frozen pizza.

The space is great and the staff are friendly, that's about where the good stuff ends. The food fell way short. We ordered the pretzel to start. We didn't enjoy the microwaved frozen pretzel. It's presentation sooo mouth watering just ripped up by hand into small pieces and placed into a basket like they were feeding leftovers to dogs. The pub burger gave off microwaved basic bitch energy. It looked ok but after the first few bites I'd began wondering how a burger from WaWa up the street would stack up against this. The crinkle cut fries needed to be in the oil another two minutes or so. The chicken club wrap, let's just say wasn't wrapped, more like topped with a wrap. It was eaten more like a salad. The fries also undercooked. There's some nice TV's all over so it would be a solid place to maybe watch a game and ONLY have drinks. The food is a hard no for us.

Stopped in just to have a beer and check out the vibe. It was kind of crowded and loud but there were a few seats at the bar. I'm very impressed with the amount of beers they have on tap along with many bottles of beer. During our time at the bar we interacted with 3 different members of staff and all were very friendly. There are many TVs so it would be a great place to watch some sporting events. I'm a NY Yankee fan and MLB.tv blacks out the Baltimore games so I found a place to watch some baseball. The menu looks to be mainly bar food but that's basically what this is. The patios would be a good option too since they have a few outdoor TVs. If you're a beer drinker and enjoy watching sports this is a great place to hang out.

Stopped in for a quick drink just to check it out. Team at the bar were super friendly, fast and clearly busy taking care of customers and keeping the bar clean. They checked us a few times! Really big beer menu, nice cocktail menu, wine selection is average....it's a beer bar so that's ok Menu looks nice, mainly sports bar type snacks and meals, nothing fancy/special. Plates we saw go by looked good and nice size portion. There are quite a few tvs.....bonus for game watching! Tvs are inside and outside Indoor/outdoor bar is pretty cool. It's LOUD .... which is to be expected from a sports bar, just want to call it out as it's hard to have a conversation. Most of the tables are for 4 to 8 people and they are pretty close together. +1 Service +.5 Food selection +1 Presentation + .5. Atmosphere/vibe +1 Value

I was very hopeful that things were going to be better when the weather got warmer. We came in the winter a few times and every single time including this time the service was scarce. We would wait almost 20 minutes before someone finally took our first order. After that it could be 30 minutes to 40 before you can get anything else. We had to repeat our orders multiple times before we received it. The restaurant has a great set up especially with the amount of taps and is in a great location, if only they could find consistent workers. The food is ok, it's decent if you want something to enjoy while you have a few drinks. I do think their prices compared to other places in the area are high. Especially some of their non alcoholic options.

Pros: Plenty of beer. Cons: I wish I went with my gut and left when I sensed bad vibes. Our waiter burped and cursed (more than I'd usually, uhh, prefer) right at our table. Nice guy I suppose, but clearly he was new, and got both mine and my friend's orders wrong and we ended up paying double for what we had thought was going to be a decent happy hour. Manager wouldn't budge when it came to fixing our waiter's mistake. Also, a 7.5% meal tax? Been dining in RVA for a while but have never actually seen such a thing (bake it into your already overpriced food, why don't you?).

This place was recommended to us by someone and it did not disappoint. We went on Friday during happy hour. We ordered boom boom shrimp, creole burger and a brisket grilled cheese sandwich. The food came out so fast and it was delicious!!! They have different specialty beers on tap and nice happy hour drink specials. The waitress was really attentive and helpful. I REALLY wanted to give this place 5stars but I couldn't only because there were a few things on the menu that we couldn't get because of an appliance issue in the kitchen (they were working on it). Overall, I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely go back if/when I'm in Richmond.

Visited The Brass Trap tonight with my family. Easy parking and great location. Inside is surprisingly small for a sports bar. Server was nice. Food was hot and fresh and very good. The queso cheep dip was very good but it was so small!! It was $9 and the cup was extremely small. We all were disappointed. Drinks however were not too good. The margarita flights were the best thing but everything else was awful. I ordered a lemon drop and it tasted like straight vodka. No lemon, no sour mix, nothing. Whew caught me off guard! We ordered one of the giant drinks that serves 4-6 people. Again, tasted like straight tequila. Like goodness can we have a good mix of strong and tasty. In the end, food and service were great. I would return for food only.

Plenty of parking!! I am actually charging my car near Starbucks at Libbie Mill Station. I don't understand how the restaurant can be completely empty and you are still neglected. Saturday was a little better-different staff- and better staff !! I will not go back. Too many other places to eat!

I had driven past the brass tap several times on my commute and I was dying to try it. Glad I did. My first impression was that it was much more casual that I was expecting, having only seen the outside. Which was totally okay, just something to take note of. The beer was... wow. Amazing, best beer selection I've seen in a very long time. While they didn't have some brewery favorites, there was a huge selection of anything on tap your heart could possibly desire. I personally recommend the Stacy's mom IPA. Food was alright. While it was above average, there's plenty of similar food items around. I was impressed by the pretzel bites, but the hot honey pizza was okay. Service was fantastic. Our server had a full plate and still managed to check up on us and maintain an upbeat attitude. I wish i remembered her name so I could give her a shout out, she was great! As a nice sit down spot, not so much. As a chill after work spot, or a cool place to grab a drink I definitely recommend.

I went here for happy hour with some friends & overall really enjoyed it!! We each got a $5 sangria, which was great. Then I also opted for the cheeseburger & fries for $9. I liked it as well but the burger could benefit from some sort of aioli. The fries could be cooked a little longer but the biggest downside was there was a hair on one of my fries, which I certainly didn't order lol. But I wasn't going to be a Karen about it so I just didn't eat that fry, but it would've obviously been better without it. Their patio is great to bring your dog, they are extremely dog friendly!! They brought my dog his own water bowl, lots of treats, & even a Tito's bandana! So he was in heaven. They also brought everything out pretty quick. So I give it a thumbs up. My friends shared the boom boom shrimp but were disappointed by the quality because there was not very many. For the price of my meal though, I'd certainly consider coming back for happy hour!

Excellent food, service and menu. Def recommend this place. we went there for brunch and it was excellent. Had visited for dinner also with family it was good. Chicken wings was delicious and had other food items from the menu. Lots Of choices in beers and drink menu. Would come back again.

Brass tap is a typical bar. It consists of a variety of bar food: chicken wings, fries, tacos, pizzas. They also have basic bar drinks.

This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants! Started out as a nice brunch spot to my go to! Hot delicious food, fantastic drinks, great restaurant. Love it.

The food was fine mostly bar style food. The waitstaff at the time struggled a decent amount. Sent a couple wrong items all together and had to revisit for orders. The Buffalo cauliflower was fine needed some more topping. Nachos were good and super loaded! Pretzel bites tasted good and soft. Easy to get in and get a seat. They had Prosecco but couldn't make mimosas which seems little silly since you just need some OJ.

Yoooo @brasstaprva is a whole vibe! We went to pregame for my birthday (8/22 ) and it did not disappoint! Our waiter Rett is the GOAT of servers, amazing! He got our orders out in a timely fashion and he was super cool! HH is until 7p and they offer a wide variety of items: I ordered the cheeseburger and fries, a value at $9 pretty tasty, fries needed salt and pepper but over a good solid meal (3.8/5), I sampled the bbq chicken and bacon (4.5/5) as well the carnivore (4/5) pizza both very flavorful and it was agreed that the carnivore could use a bit more sauce outside of that the pizza is a solid choice! The table also ordered wings and chicken quesadillas. I also ordered the house white sangria $5 (3/5) sorta small and icy but tasty and the drink special: rum punch $7 which was really tasty but needed a bit more "punch" rum (3.2/5). The music bingo was lit, we had sooo much fun! If you're looking for a low key spot, good food and fun on a Monday go check them out, we'll definitely be back!

they can definitely do better today the service was trash and the waiters were rude. She said that it's better to sit inside to get faster service but if that's the case why do yall have an outside sitting area? I waited almost and hour for my food because I was outside it sounds like laziness to me! then there was a new girl here today and she left work and only checked on us once Nobody will be getting a tip out of me! only reason why I gave 2 stars is because the food was good.

Just left there from lunch. Best burgers we've had in a while. The sweet potato fries are EXCELLENT. Service was quick and we will be back!

We went here Memorial Day after dropping my daughter off at Amtrak. It was our first time. As the name states, it's a Tap House and they've got that down! Lots of beers on tap and an impressive amount of ciders. Another positive, they have several non alcoholic beers. My husband doesn't drink so I'm always impressed with a restaurant offering that. We sat at the bar and the bartender was crazy busy but super attentive and helpful. I asked for the Ranch Water drink but asked if he could make it spicy and he said of course and it was great. They have lots of tvs so it would be a great place to watch football. That's the good. Now the bad. We ordered the Korean Pork nachos. They were not good. The pork had a bad after taste that made me question if it had actually gone bad. I can be a snobby food person but even my husband, who will eat gas station chicken, stopped eating it. It was old for sure but the rest of the toppings were ok. Not sure if it was a holiday weekend thing or what. I would go back and try something else during football season when the Bills are not being televised locally (Go Buffalo).

First time here! Really loved the food. Super fresh tasting! Brilliant martinis! Also loved the wonderful friendly service and live entertainment. Had a nice walk afterward. We will definitely be back!

Food was terrible! Steak tacos were so fatty that the meat was not edible. They do not even have unsweetened tea! Bloody Mary was bland. wanted the lavender lemonade gin drink - they didn't have any lavender syrup. Bad food and drinks cost over $100 for 4 people. We asked to speak to the manager and we were told they were not "available". Bathroom was dirty and no paper towels.

This is the worst meal I've ever had in Richmond. I'm not the type of person to not finish a meal, but I left more than half my sandwich unfinished. The "brioche" was essentially Texas toast, with uncooked cheese and a cheap jelly. They were out of several things on the menu and don't offer simple things like iced tea. They were out of the simple syrup for a cocktail, so we ordered the drink as is, without the syrup, and ended up with just lemonade but were billed for an alcoholic beverage. We asked to speak with the manager, we're originally told he wasn't there, then told he was busy. Our waitress wasn't great but the quality of the food and drink was not her fault.

Went here after work just to get a quick bite to eat and a drink, I was there during happy hour it wasn't many people there but the atmosphere was nice. It seems like a place to go to watch the game drink have a good time. The service was good, I can't remember his name right now but he was great. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, fries and a brownie cookie thing- the quesadilla was good nothing to special but good, they have crinkle fries which we all know is a hit or miss lol they were a miss this day- the brownie cookie thing was brunt so I didn't really get to taste that too much. The drinks were good definitely a places to go for happy hour(even though I didn't get the full happy hour price). Will definitely go back for drinks and maybe to try the pizza.

Unbelievable. Stopped in to casually watch a football game and have some drinks at the bar. It was nearing 4pm, and the place was no more than 1/3 full. No one was behind the bar. I waited about 10 minutes before I was finally asked by I guess a server, if I had been helped. I told him I haven't, and he took my drink order which consisted of a club soda and a spicy margarita. He promptly returned with a club soda and said he was not the bartender and that he would tell him my order. A couple of minutes later, the bartender returned, talking under his breath, seemingly that he was getting his butt kicked. The sever told him about my margarita. He acknowledged, walked away, cleared some plates. He then came back and opened a fridge and said, "so we don't have any jalapeños". It was evident, he wasn't interested in making a cocktail, perhaps because he was busy? I believe The Brass Tap does serve food related items that require jalapeños. However, the bartender was not eager to check with the kitchen or even offer alternatives. I took it as a sign that he wasn't into being helpful. So I left. Huge bummer as I have been there a few times before and the bartenders were very attentive. I didn't see management around to share my thoughts.

Friend and I visited this restaurant today around 4:30pm. We were greeted at the door by a waiter and then sat ourselves per the sign in the front. We were sitting at our table for 15-20mins with no service or acknowledgment. Two other parties entered and sat down after us, where we noticed they were provided menus and waited on. We got up and left, so unfortunately can't speak on the food/drinks, but not a great first impression on service.

The Brass Tap in Richmond is excellent, hear me out. The food is amazing. The Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza is the best twist on pizza toppings that I have had in a long time. While it was great, it wasn't even the best part of coming here... The service from the staff at the bar exceeds every expectation. Jasmine is very at tentative, while keeping it casual during a night of chaos. Dakota, even while busy, always asked by each time she passed by at the bar to see if I needed anything. Sander "Mint Daddy" has been great to watch as well. As I sat right by where all of the restaurant drinks are made, I saw how busy he was and he never let it show with his demeanor. The way he spanked the mint for the mojitos was entertaining, just as much as it is important to the flavor. No detail was missed on this visit from the service, food quality, and overall "Vibe". I will be back many times in the near future!

Sat for 10 minutes at the bar where only one other person was sitting. At least 5 different people walked past me without a word. One more said " be right with you" but never was. Shit service with no crowd. Cause and effect? Probably....

Terrible. New ownership that has no understanding of the restaurant business. Only one bartender who struggled to keep up (ie: took over 25 mins for beers to arrive) one meal came to us as fish ... when we ordered chicken. Plastic utensils because "they didn't have the regular ones". Plus, only cauliflower crust pizza because the others were out. Y'all ... go somewhere else. This was a colossal nightmare.

Don't waste your money here, the food is terrible! We were told they weren't offering pizzas last night as that is 1/3 or the menu offerings. No problem, so I ordered the All American Pub burger. It's sad when Burger King has a better burger than Brass Tap. The single or double patty, which is extremely dry and tasteless, make you only want to drink more. Crafted is across the street and their food, service, and drinks are worth it. If you have the choice, don't go to Brass Tap!

I rarely, if ever, leave reviews for places but feel like I must for this one so I could possibly save someone a trip/$$. I've wanted to try this restaurant for a while since I get my hair done next door. I convinced 3 friends to come for brunch today. We were the first ones in the door yet tables and the floors were absolutely disgusting. It was kind of confusing since they just opened and the staff was just standing around talking. You didn't want to pick up a broom or even try? This was the theme for the whole experience. While our server was nice, she just didn't care. We asked a couple of questions about the menu since it was our first time and she answered with "yea I would assume" or "yea I guess". Eventually we stopped trying. We all got different items off the brunch menu and none of us were satisfied with our food. My pancakes were inedible and a really weird, gross texture. I had no idea you could mess up pancakes until today. Overall just a weird vibe. It felt like the staff didn't want anyone there/want to work and it showed in both the service and the food. I would give no stars if I could.

Was excited to check this place out. Happy hour and we were the only people there, bartender was nice. Fast forward to 2 hours later and we were told we were cut off. I had 3 drinks in that time frame and had been inside to use the restroom. Asked why and was told the manager felt that we had too much, 2 of us and our tab was 50$. First time in 30+ years of being in bars / restaurants and never cut off. I think it was because the 2 of us were the only women there that were not accompanied by a man. I honestly am perplexed and will be because this was a very quiet nice evening with a friend at a new place. Too bad they will never get another cent from me.

Bartender was not tending to the bar. I got the menu but he never came back. I had expressed I wanted a beer, which doesn't take long to figure out. So since my money wasn't good enough I left. I was skeptical about coming here as I saw other comments online about not being served. Well it is true.

2nd visit here, first at happy hour. Have enjoyed the food (steak nachos the first time, cheeseburgers/fries today). It is really loud in there but it's a sports bar so to be expected. Servers seem to be still figuring things out. Only complaint so far is that we ordered cheeseburgers and fries tonight - advertised on the happy hour menu as $8 - and were charged $13 each. Unfortunately I didn't know this until my hubby handed me the receipt when we got home. So just make sure to check your totals before leaving!

Amazing food and service! We ordered the impossible burger, tater tots, and Bianca pizza and were all very tasty! They have a very large beer selection which can get overwhelming with the choices but the staff was very patient and made good drink suggestions! We enjoyed the ambiance and the chance to hang out with friends and watch some games. Excited to come back for sure! Found it to be much more reasonable in cost compared to Crafted and a more relaxed ambiance.

I can't tell you how much this place sucks. I live in the complex and if you want to feel completely neglected and sun quality food then this is your spot. It's sad because this should be a great spot but it's just not. Food = sub par, Service = very sub par, Environment = loud as hell. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because they have a sweat heat bbq sauce for the wings. Other than that this place sucks and it's a shame because it should be great.

Our party had great evening out! Staff was very welcoming and owners were making sure we were well taken care of!! We will def be back! Make sure to try there pizzas!

We came in for lunch around 1:30 on a Saturday to sit at the bar with no problem finding a seat. Thomas is one of THE most attentive bartenders I have ever had. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked back at the perfect times. I highly recommend the lavender lemonade as he made sure I had everything I needed to make sure the drink was perfect. He never hesitated with drink recommendations or tastings for beer. First time here and I say you should sit at the bar when Thomas works! Thank you man! we will definitely be back.

So happy that they are finally open! Stopped in for a quick bite with my friends and it was just what we needed. They've got SOOO many beers on tap, and after a few samples I felt you couldn't go wrong with any of them. Food menu is your typical bar food but we thought it was very tasty and unique with fun pizzas and also vegetarian options. I got the boom boom shrimp and it was really good! My friends got the impossible burger and one the pizzas which also looked delicious. The price of the food is very reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. Staff was very friendly, the owner even came to chat with us and he was so down to earth! Excited for when they start hosting trivia and game nights! They have plenty of TV's and looking forward for the weather to warm up to use the patio space. Really cool garage doors to create an indoor and outdoor bar vibe.

This pains me so much, I was so looking forward to this place. I went on a week night ordered a cheeseburger. The meat was so thin you couldn't possibly see if it was cooked medium. The bun while good was all I could taste. The fries looked like the skinny crinkle cut from the grocery store. My friend got a salad w shrimp that was the size of a side salad - good but so small. Will give another chance maybe.

Fabulous place-- lovely location as well! I love the entire ambiance of Brass Tap, it has a very relaxed yet upscale feel. The wait staff were incredibly kind, and knowledgable about the menu and beers. The food was also very delicious! Really enjoyed my time here, highly recommend!!

Stopped by to check out the place during happy hour with my co-workers and we were not disappointed! Although the restaurant is new and they are training staff and working out some kinks, everyone was super friendly. We actually liked the open seating concept and were able to find space for our group. I got the avacado burger and Brussels sprouts both were very good, they also had some nice sauces we could choose from. My coworker ordered pizza and it looked delicious. The big selling point is their collection of drinks!! We are looking forward to be back for more happy hours!
